Being well funded he has one of the nicer apartments in an exclusive neighborhood of Taerak. His sexuality wouldn't even come into question because nobody cares about such trivial matters here, and his atheism would fit right in with the majority of citizens. Being a swimmer he would thoroughly enjoy his time here as Tsvarchivans are very water-orientated people themselves, learning to swim almost as soon as they are able, and he would have crowds gathering at the local theatre to hear his live performances as Tsvarchivans are also very musically-inclined and would love that.

His type of dress would be a little odd, seeing as how many do not wear clothes, and those that do wear clothes tend to wear very casual and laid back clothing, even in formal wear. He would find the people's love for their King astonishing, even among the people that don't necessarily agree with the government. He would also find the fact that the Royal Families also appear in public quite often without security detail quite something to witness, and how they handle the throngs of people trying to get their attention.

When he goes out partying to experience the nightlife he's amazed at how sex-driven they are, with fornication happening quite regularly on the dance floor, and people of all sexualities dancing amongst each other, straight and gay alike, bumping and grinding like it's nothing. The smell of weed might get to him if he's not used to that, as well.

Immidiately after being shipped to D-16 (Defying the works of time itself), Francis would immidiately be put through several humiliating tests by our machines. Unless he knows carpentry, spinning, hunting, foraging, pottery, or such, he's not likely to get very far because the economy is barter and nothing is given away in Yibenche. Then again, if he's studying here he'd probably be at one of the monasteries which offer housing and where they teach nesessary skills to children in addition to their high level philosophy studies(which is about the only thing they teach on a high enough level to warrant foreigners visiting. Unless he were studying ecology, which they considered child's stuff even though it's well known at an advanced level, or if he were a historian studying how lower technology worked in practice.), so he could pick them up there. He would still have to make or trade for all his own food, though. He is likely to get ridiculed as lazy or a know-nothing for not having a knife. Noone would probably care about his homosexuality unless he starts flirting, in which case he will be an outcast. With his athleticism he might get into sports of archery or wrestling, both of which are considered prestigious, and with his piano background likely could pass by as good on the accordion which is very popular in local music. If he becomes good in any of those he's likely to make many good Yibenche friends. Foreigners aren't liked very much, so he'd have to prove himself to be respected in some manner.
