Crime is crippling. Kreanoltha's national animal is the black mamba, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Keatain.

[Augarundus]

The Nationalist Imperium of Augarundus is a massive, devout nation, ruled by Kanzler Otto Vitali with a fair hand, and notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 3.768 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The minute, pro-business government, or what there is of one, juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Religion & Spirituality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Augaria. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

The military has had to quell a recent insurrection by uninsured revolutionaries, citizens must pay to enjoy Augarundus's pristine beaches, university graduates and new home-owners toil in labour camps to work off their debts, and wealthy parents-to-be can select their perfect baby. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Augarundus's national animal is the Augarian white raven, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Roman Catholicism, and its currency is the Dovka.

I would give this nation a 6/10, but this changed my mind.

This seems like a nation that values capitalism over actual freedom. 3/10.

OOC: Except most of that stuff is actually inaccurate. Augarundus is agnostic, military service is completely voluntary (conscription is unconstitutional), the state has no role in religion. Also, there's no forests to be destroyed anyway.

And Imperium is a misnomer: it denotes a "powerful society" in Augarundus' case, and has nothing to do with an "imperial" state.

It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Central People's Collective. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The nation has recently been attributed to the funding of terrorist organisations, the automotive industry soaks up huge government handouts, politicians accepting drinks in bars are executed for taking bribes, and major cities shut down as their local sports team takes to the field every day. Crime is totally unknown. New Freedomstan's national animal is the ant, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Vodka.
