Sex Industry in Iuvenia

Postby Iuvenia (Ancient) » Tue Dec 28, 2010 11:27 pm

Iuvenia allows brothels of all caliber, providing employment is voluntary. In fact, such things are common for those seeking sexual experiences without the risks of transmitting infection or causing pregnancy in the other partner, due to advances in said industry due to this particular demand.

All sex between consenting adults and depictions of it are legal and unregulated. And although our culture has some taboos regarding promiscuity, prostitutes and porn actors are not held to that standard (though no parents ever really want their children to become prostitutes or porn actors).
Wait an hour, and it will be now again

In Latnya almost all aspects of the sex industry are legal, even the most taboo practices except child porn or child prostitution.*

From DASHES Board of Law and Enforcement:

All forms of the Sex Industry are fully and violently opposed by DASHES.

Pimps are publicly executed here. Brothel owners are shot. Prostitutes who are caught will be forced to serve in the military for 1-3 years depending on the woman's parenting status . While they are in the military, the DASHES Employment Offices will see too it that these women will be assigned jobs and the necessary education to sign up for such jobs after they leave the service.

Individuals found guilty of the production, filming, acting, and/or distribution of Pornographic materials of any sort will be castrated/declitorized [we know its not a word]. Also, these individuals will be forced to work for the Military for 18 Months and do 48 hours of community service.

Brothels, as they often are run within the privacy of ones home, go often undealt with, as we do not invade the people's privacy so. However, we offer very generous rewards for those who rat out such brothels for us. When enough evidence is gathered through spying and surveillance, we storm the place.

The only and extreme exception to our anti-sex media laws is made for adult comics/hentai, which is only available to married couples who need more 'stimulation' in their lives. Even then, our hentai would be considered R-rated as opposed to to X or XXX rated

Prostitution is VERY frowned upon, but it isn't illegal. Softcore and Hardcore pornography are very active and not frowned upon.

Brothels and other organisations were legal prior to 1989. On August 8th of that year, Parliament repealed laws that allowed brothels to operate independently. The government took control of all brothels, sex shops, and escort services and collected all profits.

Today, sex shops and escort services are still government-controlled, and brothels are now illegal, along with pornography and prostitution.

Parliament statistics regarding brothels:

• 67% disapprove
• 20% approve
• 13% indifferent

Of course it is legal!

In fact, those exact subjects are what our children learn in school. 98% of our economy has to do with strip clubs and the sort. The rest is mango smoothies.

Brothels and strip clubs are legal, but prostitution and exotic dance don't exist here quite like they do in your nation. Our culture is different. These professions have a less sleazy and more spiritual and artistic aspect in our culture.

Cargo on boats? If you mean sex slaves and the like, such is illegal here, and invites frightening punishments.

Prostitution varies in terms of legality at various locations.
