The X20 M-AR Compact is the main assault and battle rifle used by the Official Cathalystos Empire Army.

This special weapon uses a magnetic accelerator fire system so it's ultra-quiet (don't need silencer) and more powerful than the traditional fire weapons (plus the rotating bolt).
Above the barrel there is an included laser sight.
It has got a 30 cm retractable stock.
Its feed system are 30 or 60 magnetic stainless titanium bullet mags.
It shot 1.200 rounds per minute.

are you saying this thing fires a subsonic round that is magnetically accelerated (in whcih case it would be cheaper to just use subsonic conventional rounds)? and 1,200 RPM would break your shoulder |:

no actually all that is feasible in some packages, save the coilgun and rotating bolt since i can't see how that would work (but there's probably a ridiculous and complicated way to make it happen \:)

the russians have a subsonic 12.7mm sniper rifle (and supposedly a light machine gun using the same cart)

i wasn't saying "no that's not possible", i was asking "how do you do this?"

Why on earth would you issue both .50 BMG and 12.7x108mm? They both do exactly the same thing with .50BMG being a bit more powerful (well about 1.5x as powerful depending on the load).

Also if you are issuing 6.5mm grendal and .257 Weatherby you have no real need for 6.5x55mm. Of course at the 4000j mark moving up to .30cal really starts to pay off in terms of barrel life and raw terminal effect.

You wouldn't, but I with my Amphibious Fish/Frog men would. The handy thing about having a race of FT amphibians is that so long as I have a space navy decent to prevent the oh to cliché nuking/anti-matter/what not from space then an enemy with Kinetic, Plasma and uncalibrated Laser weaponry would probably be shot with weapons that actually work or maybe just bludgeoned to death by 8 foot aquatic aliens for the lulz.

Hahaha... nice critique, you're in truth.. but think that it's just some futuristic fantasy :P
Really I'm not an expert about guns, I know very few. Coilguns only push bullets to great velocities but them don't roll (and don't perforate the targets). I have just thought that the fusion of magnetic and rotating bolt systems would be more powerful.
Anyways I will be pleased If you can give me some advice.

"1200 RPM"... our scientists have found a great method to shoot more bullets with less recoil :P

PS: Arisaka?

Enh, I was just trying to understand why you'd use a coilgun, since idk if you're FT or not. I mean, we have modern coilguns and stuff (I could make one in my garage with a bit of money and some time), but those are barely qualified for airsoft games much less actual weapons.

Rly a coilgun...I'm not even sure how it would feed...it doesn't have a hammer or ejection cycle so you don't need rotating or tilting bolts, though.

and arisaka was @ altimirus not you, since he was using like 3 diff calibres for the same role

How does an assault rifle, medium machine gun, and DMR all have the same role? At least according to what I've read they have very different roles. Besides, I only have two different calibers, 6.5 and 12.7 mm, it's just that the case lengths are different. The / after the each caliber's of the first role are roles who's are sorta emergency roles and/or secondary roles given proper adjustment to said rifles (optics, bullet matriels, mag sizes, grips, pods, rests). Just more to chew me out on.

My cartridge ideashttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6.5_mm_Grendel : .Assault rifle / LMG cartridge / Faux Designated marksmen
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6.5x55mm : .faux assault infantry men /Medium machine Gun cartridge / Semi Designated marksmen
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.257_Weatherby_Magnum : .DMR cartridge / faux sniper rifle round

Replace all three of those with 6.5 Arisaka.

Or the NS rimless version, 6.5 Gallan.
