AR-02
Image
The AR-02 was first conceived in 2001. The first prototype rifle was built towards the end of 2001, and production began in early 2002. The rifle is currently in active service with every branch of the Army and Royal Marine Corps, and to date over 200,000 rifles have been produced, however multiple factories are gearing up to meet military and customer needs.
This rifle has a gas-actuated piston-driven long stroke operating system which uses gases vented through a port in the barrel to power the weapon's moving parts. The AR-02s receivers are made of an aluminum alloy, its barrel, bolt, and bolt carrier are made of steel, and its handguards, pistol grip, and buttstock of a plastic polymer. It’s chambered in the 6.8mm SPC round, balancing the power of the 7.62mm and the accuracy of the 5.56mm rounds. The free floating barrel incorporated by this weapon, proven to improve accuracy. The barrel features a chrome lined bore and is tipped by a flash suppressor which, if needs be, can be removed and replaced with a sound suppressor. The fire selector, ejection port and magazine release are all ambidextrous allowing for left and right handed troops to use the rifle easily. The top mounted Picatinny rail allows for a variety of sights and scopes, such as Holo sights and red dots to be added. A rail can also be mounted to the underside of the handguard.
Length: 32 inches
Barrel Length: 17.1 inches (1:12 twist)
Weight with magazine: 8 pounds
Cartridge: 6.8x43mm
Action: Gas operated, rotating bolt
Rate of fire: 700 rounds per minute
Mussel velocity: 2,989 feet per second
Effective Range: 730 yards
Feed System: detachable 30 or 20 round box magazines
Selector: Safe-Semi-Burst-full
Price per Unit: 2450 USD

I originally made it as one, but I decided to put it here to see if anyone could guess. It's a sloppy job, I know, but hey. You win.

I'll see whether I can do a better job.

Magazines slope and curve forward for 2 main reasons:

1: you want the round sitting at a slight bullet up angle so that the round will slide forward and up the feed ramp

2. Most cartridges are wider at thier base and taper as you move along the body

The standard issue combat rifle of the Federal Army and Marine Corps is the M7A2. It fires 7.62x51mm rounds from an 20 round box magazine, and has a fire rate of 550 rounds per minute.

Er. No it doesn't, the entire point of caseless ammunition was to remove catridges and get rid of ejection points.

I thought it was to be lighter and offer larger powder loads, but k.

You can still have a dud. Hell, even the G11 had a bottom-feed ejection port.
