I was contemplating making a bullpup AR and I came across this, Its got to be one of the trolliest rifles I've ever seen. Its the bullpup version of an Iranian gun that is a copy of an illegal Chinese made M-16. If using an illegal version of your antagonists service rifle wasn't bad enough it is named after a battle in which Muhammad expelled Jews from an oasis...

I imagine that since it is Iranian that it is a piece of crap that exists for propaganda purposes. Also it isn't ambidextrous.

Apparently it's a bullpup conversion of a clone of a clone of the M16A1.

So yeah, this.

Maybe throw in a metric fuckton of government owned corporations, and they use metric, too. You can't have anything bigger than your neighbourhood deli. Oh, and they all speak French.

Seriously don't give up. Your gun looks like my first gun, don't believe me I'll dig it up. In a months time I'd be willing to bet with a little determination that your drawings will look far better than you ever thought they would right now.

Tracing is a good place to start if you don't know where to go, It will help you get better at understanding what looks right. Perhaps find someone to match in style or find someone to better. Don't be discoruaged by seeing someone do good it should make you work harder, that and few can compare with Mekugi who drew that weapon linked.

I know for a fact which people started me wanting to draw. In fact it was RRoan with that Sino Stealth Tank that made me want to draw my own tank. Crookfur's guns also played a part.

That was also pretty much my first "good' vehicle drawing, in my opinion.

Well that's what got me started. I even have it saved to my laptop. I almost contacted confed. to contact you to see if it would be okay if I messed around with it a little. I didn't though. Instead I just kept trying to copy it, which did not fair well. Later I came along with the X-215, which was the first on where I didn't try to copy it, on linc which over time turned it the Tver. Its been about a year since then and I would say I've improved, I hope.

Any of these really shouldn't be put anywhere near an RPG. It wouldn't have the empty space like a transport chopper.

But Apaches are also extremely well armored for helicopters. You hit it... it's not going down. Those things can take a volley of 20mm shells and be fine.

United States of PA wrote:As to your claim of "Not a couch general idea", i dont dispute that RPGs have brought helos down in the past. The issue herein is your proposing using a HEAT round to bring a helo down. This actually minimizes the damage done to the helo, because, unless it is in the direct path of that rather thin jet of Molten Metal, you aint doing nothing. HEF would be 100x more effective in Anti-Helo ops, because than, all you need to do is hit the Helo. With a HEAT you need to hit and have the shell point at something very vital. This is of course, hard at distance and with the helo going at speed.

OK, I decided to take anther shot at this (pun not intended).

Weapon name: R-4
Image
Type: Assault Rifle
Place of origin: Federal Republic of Vassenor
In service: 2010-Present
Used by: Vassenor Federal Armed Forces
Weight: 4.23 KG (R-4A1), 3.27 KG (C-3A1)
Length: 1010mm (R-4A1), 805mm (C-3A1, stock collapsed)
Barrel Length: 508mm (R-4), 305mm (C-3)
Cartridge: 7.62x51mm NATO
Action: Gas-operated, rotating bolt
Rate of fire: 600 rounds/min
Muzzle velocity: 900 m/s
Effective range: 800m+ with optics
Feed system: 20-round detachable box magazine
Sights: Adjustable iron sights

Following complaints from units deployed to Afghanistan and other theatres regarding the range and stopping power of the R-3 series, or rather lack thereof compared to the AK47-type rifles used by insurgents, along with the recent resurgence of Battle Rifles among possible threat forces, the Vassenor Federal Munitions Board ordered the development of a more powerful infantry rifle.

The result was the R-4, the first indigenously developed weapon Vassenor has ever produced. The rifle fires the proven 7.62x51mm round in a package roughly the size of any other AR-15 style weapon. However, the increased length of the R-4 over the R-3 has made it unsuitable for use by mechanised infantry units, as well as other units operating in confined spaces. As a result, the carbine version of the weapon, the C-3A1, is more widely issued than its predecessor.

So the revised armoury is:
  • Service Rifle: R-4A1
  • Carbine: C-3A1
  • Sidearm (General issue): Walther P99 (Spec Ops can private purchase own sidearm, typically an M1911 variant or Mark 23 SOCOM)
  • Sub-Machine Gun (Spec Ops): Heckler & Koch MP-5N
  • PDW (Armoured Vehicle and Helicopter crews): Heckler and Koch MP7A1
  • GPMG: PKM
  • Sniper Rifle: Accuracy International Arctic Warfare, Dragunov SVD (limited use, being phased out)
  • Heavy Machine Gun: Browning M2HB
