Best using Civil War era tactics of Long Front Lines.
Faction 2 Middle. The Auroras: Soviet-esque Weapons. Old Cars in good condition (old school steel slows bullets before hitting target, massively decreasing damage). No body armor but tough and spiked with heroine to keep them fighting until last breath. Best fighting in Hot Weather, Forests, Villages, Swamps. Weakness: Cool and Cold Weather, Mountains, Flat Lands, Trenches. Best using American Revolution era Guerrilla warfare (lack explosives and know-how to use Vietnamese booby trap tactics).
Faction 3 Right. The Goodsueits: Soviet-esque Weapons. Slightly New 4X4 Trucks and SUVs (weak vs. small arms but hard to stop in bad conditions including light mountains and the less dry swamps). Police Grade Bullet Proof Vests (can laugh off .45 ACP and absorbs some damage up to .22 caliber). Best fighting in Cool and Cold Weather, Swamps, Mountains, and Trenches. Weaknesses: Warm and Hot Weather, Forests, Flat Lands, Cannot Stop Guerrilla Warfare from penetrating. Best using WWI era Trench warfare.
This is what I have so far.

Very nice. You're just the person I was looking for, actually. I'd like to create my own forces of the post-apocalypse, but I'm not quite sure where to start. You wouldn't happen to have any advice, would you?

I suppose I will... although what happened to the stargate scenario?
And what tech levels are allowed and what are the requirements for the factions?
-The Desert Rangers wrote:I happen to have some advice.
- Make the soldiers and their equipment dirty, rusted and worn-out.
- Try to keep the troops as similar as possible without making a single uniform.
- Always make the soldiers or people look like they belong to whatever environment they inhabit. (example: dirt/sand on desert troops and snow and maybe mud on cold-weather troops)
- Again, small details like patched clothes and dirty or jury-rigged equipment help.
- Vehicles should also look like they've survived the apocalypse and should be subject to the above.
That's about it,hope it helps!Fashiontopia wrote:How many people are participating so I can know how many zones to make... because each faction will rule a different environment (snowy, rain forest, swampland, grassland, mountains, desert, etc.)
I hope I'm not the only group inhabiting the desert...

Very true, I would even venture to say having cloth and plastic covers on weapons' breech's would be very intelligent to protect the action from the elements. Equipment will be very dirty and by God make sure you have winter and summer clothes, also, abandon traditional combat boots in favor of air tight rain boots to prevent disease.

B.C.- about 1999 with no commercial military weapons (missiles, tanks, aircraft) no aircraft because the weather is unpredictable and far too severe to take off. In the desert 12/24 hours a day you'll have blinding sand storms, in the tundra you'll run into blizzards constantly, in the rain forest you'll have Forrest Gump/Noah's Ark type rain, the grass land will be the only place that's like paradise, light rain and slight wind factors... until the earthquakes come. However, naturally all you're people have become accustomed and adapted to the conditions they face so it is not a problem for natives, however for those of your who will be invading you're going basically to your definition to hell on Earth. The only thing I'm controlling will be the weather and terrain conditions, I won't have a faction.-The Desert Rangers wrote:I happen to have some advice.
