One of which with said blue beret, and another with a Ushanka something alone these lines, if possible please. However, the pin on the Ushanka, could it possibly be this?

Nope that is too modern am I afraid as camo is generally seen as cowardly and for lesser men by most federal officers.

Plus, the picture I supplied you with is a search result for 'Russian Foreign Legion', and I know they have no permanent foreign legion, but they recently announced the acceptance of foreigners into the legion. Plus, the French look like wankers with their Kepi hats, and the Spanish, well, they're Spanish. That felt suitably Russian, and feel appropriate considering the SFL is an amphibious assault unit. Well, not specifically, but it can be. Maybe you could do what you like, or do it with and without stripes, mix and match, innovate, do what looks good. You're the creative one!

So cutting it off would simply turn the creature in question to a immobilized sack.

Granted however being able to run in the first place is a more useful trait for front line troopers
