What Does Your Nation Do About Illegal Immigration?

People, you do realise that killing them is bad economics. You're losing a chance of a large motivated workforce, who can pay taxes if you legalise them, and also, ammunition and the military forces to do all the shooting will be expensive. Not to mention the social cost of having thousands of people whose day job is shooting people seeking to better their lives loose in the community with all their mental health issues.

For some of us, maintaining the integrity of our national security takes priority over "bad economics."

We do not take kindly to people entering our country and using our govenments services without being registered and paying taxes. Illegal Immigrants who are caught whithin the nation are deported, and repeat offenders are subject to criminal charges. A criminal who is seen crossing the border who refuse to stop are shot. If an illegal immigrant is arrested for a crime, they are treated harsher than if they were legal.

Luckily, the mainland of knowlandia is an Island, so illegal immigration there is uncommon. It's more prevalent in offshore territories.

Thanks to the destruction wrought by Lord Gojira and his hosts of kaiju, our homeland is uninhabitable, legally or otherwise. Most Kawaiians are currently living as nomads or tribal settlers within other nation's lands, so the issue of immigration doesn't really apply to us. If anything, we're the illegal immigrants.

For those Kawaiian tribes lucky enough to have negotiated a resettlement area within a host nation, the tribal Lashkar-Tong serves as a sort of border patrol. Their job isn't necessarily to keep foreigners out (as they may not have that authority) but to keep an eye on whoever may cross the border and deal with them if they start causing trouble.

Category 3 Illegal Immigrant:
Any citizen of a foreign nation who enters Albion Rhodesia illegally and commits a non-violent criminal offense shall be sentenced to a prison term of no less than 20 years. Following the serving of the sentence, the former convict shall be deported back to his nation of citizenship and a lifetime prohibition on attempting to enter Albion Rhodesian shall be enforced. If the individual, attempts to enter Albion Rhodesia for a second time, then a mandatory life sentence prison term shall be enacted.

Category 4 Illegal Immigrant:
Any citizen of a foreign nation who enters Albion Rhodesia illegally and commits a violent offense shall be subject to capital punishment.

Any foreigner who enters our nation is automatically considered a "non-resident" and, as long as they are able to pay their bills, can remain in Sharpe Beach for as long as their "non-resident" status is in force, or they change to "resident." (To become a "foreign-born" Citizen, takes quite a bit more, including being a "resident" for a certain length of time -- which hasn't passed yet, since we're such a new nation)

If a non-resident cannot pay their bills, it can lead to their deportation. Normally, that just means a walk across the border. On occasion, though, repeat violations may call for the trebuchet to be used.

Whosoever comes in legally is welcomed with open arms in TurtleShroom, without question. If they wait long enough in good standing, they can even become CITIZENS!

However, we just can't seem to convince people to do their stinkin' PAPERWORK.


Anyway, that's where our systems come in. Every road, every railroad, every artery of transportation, at the borderline, has a checkpoint building. You can't miss it. There will also be chain link fences nearby. The remote parts of the country don't need this, but there are a patchwork of scattered fences on various areas where illegals have been seen sneaking in.


In the Northwest, where the liberals, catgirls, drug smugglers. and those escaping the law hide- especially the City of Gerry -we were forced to erect a five story concrete wall for seventy miles around that one part of TurtleShroom. Checkpoints, one before the wall, one after, plus a third for good measure, and Border Patrol crawling all over the place (sometimes literally).

TurtleShroom's Border Patrol isn't technically a part of the military, but if it was, it would add five hundred thousand to our troops. They actually are assigned sections of the country, all over the place, in outposts all over the borderline. Armed with extra-large long-distance tasers, these bold creatures with excellent salaries spend their days looking for illegals.

Border patrol are not allowed to kill their targets.


In addition, the Customs Office, in every checkpoint, will search your vehicle and you for ilelgals. Then, you'll be asked a bunch of questions, checked for Satanism, Nazism, Pastafarianism, Discordianism, witchcraft, Westboro, parody religions, unregistered weapons, etc., and homosexuality. (While it's not a crime, it's better not to come in at all, because people won't like you. Gays are warned of this before they go.) Many get denied entry.

TurtleShroom, as one observer put it, doesn't focus on crushing certain minorties that are illegal... they keep them out in the first place.



Now, what about the six hundred annual illegals that make it in, or the one hundred thousand illegals still residing in the nation after the past three deportatin crackdowns? They are given the option ot do the paperwork, or get their butts out.

Refugees entering illegally are exempted from this, because they're obviously in need of compassion and kindness in their darkest hours. This is why Border Patrol don't kill.
