If the person being addressed is female, she's called sistah or dahlin instead of bruddah. Specific family members are called muddah, fahdah, etc. Sometimes other people who are old enough to be one's mother or father are called muddah or fahdah but it's wise to be careful trying to guess somebody's age. They might not think they're old enough to be your muddah or fahdah.
