Mostly Federated States. They are governed by a Federal Commissioner, who is elected by the People

It is necessary to expose the false propaganda of the imperialists and thoroughly dispel the illusion that the imperialists will give up their positions in the colonies and dependent countries with good will. It is wrong to try to avoid the struggle against imperialism under the pretext that independence and revolution are important, but that peace is still more precious. The oppressed peoples can liberate themselves only through struggle. This is a simple and clear truth confirmed by history.

We have six governorates (ruled by governors), one autonomous province (ruled by president) and few free towns (ruled by mayors). Governorates are divided into prefectures, and so is the Autonomous Province. Free Towns are not divided into smaller units.

We usually translate the local term Roa as "States". There are nine Roa, each one a parliamentary elected monarchy ruled by a leader called a Tuyas. The nine Roa are as follows:

Wanahu
Leyan
Hiwo
Motu Tawe
Motu Hele
Nala
Apana
Purutala
Moro

Yannian states are subdivided into gauën (sing. gau) and markën (sing. mark), which are usually translated as "provinces" and "border provinces".
Yannia's nation page contains an error. The population should be in millions, not in billions.

Due to Tritonalia's location on an archipelago, it is sensible to divide the nation into islands. Larger islands, however, are divided into appropriately sized parishes.

The Harrowlands doesn't have provinces or states, but we have a number of different local "ceremonial counties":

Shires
Baronies
Earldoms
Duchies

They are all just different names for the same thing, although they differ in some ways: a duchy is generally larger than a county. Despite the names, baronies, earldoms and duchies are not feudal territories, those are ceremonial titles that have been retained after the feudal system was phased out. Ceremonial counties are usually the divisions made out for local government, but cities and larger towns usually have individual local governments.

Apart from this, there are electoral divisons that may or may not differ from the ceremonial counties and local government divisions.

Svedoria is divided into planetwide megacities rather than provinces, too many to even list them all. I can, however, give you some of the most important ones:

Twilight I, the location of the capital of Svedoria, named so because its rotation goes in the same direction and at the exact same speed as its orbit around its sun. This leaves one side in constant daylight, one side in constant night, and a strip(called "the twilight zone" in between them in a state of constant twilight. Due to this, the population has evolved to have a second set of eyes with infrared vision to use in the night half of the planet.

Pluto II and Pluto III, the two moons orbiting Twilight I, named after the roman god of death due to their complete lack of natural lifeforms. The largest infobanks in the country are located there.

Thor, named after the norse god of war and thunder. It is the location of the largest arms manufacturer of Svedoria.

Freyja, named after the norse god of love and fertility. It is where most of our agriculture-based food products come from.

Odin, named after the norse king of all gods, due to his mythical ability to watch over the whole world simultaneously. Devoted to astronomical research.

Neptune III, named so due to its large quantities of water(especially in frozen form), the largest site of research of polar lifeforms. Scientists never stay there for prolonged periods of time due to the extreme cold.

Hekla, named after a volcano on Iceland, a country from the earth era of human history. It's the site of a large geothermal powerplant and research station. Like Neptune III, Scientists can only stay periodically due to climate issues.

Oxide IV, an enormous planet with very pleasant weather and a high concentration of oxygen in the atmosphere. It is a very popular destination for tourists, however due to the oxygen levels the local lifeforms tend to grow very large in size, so visitors are only allowed in certain restricted areas.

Savage, the largest "anarchy planet", planets wich act as a sustitute for prison. Criminals who need to be kept from away from society at all costs are put here to do as they wish, and the planets themselves are devoid of any form of technology, while the many moons are made to act as high-security watchposts to keep the inhabitants from escaping.

XIL896a, XIL89b and XIL89c, a group of planets orbiting the star XIL89, have been known since the late earth age, and now act as the primary defense outpost against a certain nation that has been at odds with Svedoria ever since its conception.

Chryo I, the coldest planet in the nation is used as a base for research on a VERY peculiar species and how we can use it to our advantage. It is the ideal planet for this since said species is weak to cold temperatures.
Cookie to whoever can spot the reference.

Might add more later.

Our provinces are called 'chapters'.
Currently, we got 24 major/main chapters, and 9 sub- chapters.
Main chapters: Fenris, Basilisk, Gryphon, Vampire, Phoenix, Unicorn, Naga, Dryad, Ghul, Kappa, Oni, Mermaid, Lilith, Lindworm, Daemon, Dragon, Grendel, Wyvvern, Banshee, Werewolf, Gargoyle, Succubus, Nephilim and Kitsune.

Our "provinces" are simply numbered administrative districts, apportioned by a computer algorithm. While some such districts receive local names by their inhabitants, these names are not officially used and are often subject to whimsical changes at the hands of corporate sponsors, although they enjoy widespread popularity due to the fact that being a part of #315 isn't exactly catchy.
