This is the only unit that I can send against New Nicksyllvania that won't get slaughtered due to being weak militia, or hold an unfair advantage due to high tech weapons.
Unit: National Militia 45th Wessex
Short Description: The men of the 45th Wessex Brigade (and they are all men) are giants compared to other Militia brigades, with all soldiers standing at least 2 meters tall. Their training focuses almost completely on melee combat, where they use their immense size and strength to defeat smaller weaker enemies.
Training: Most men have previously served in the Imperial Army (only 30% of the people that start basic training pass), and before being accepted into the 45th Wessex, they must be able to kill an armoured black bear armed only with a rifle and bayonet. If they are able to do that they are accepted, and will be heavily trained in melee combat.
Morale/Discipline: The unit is partially based off of the Nicksyllvanian Armed forces (apparently the founder witnessed Nicksyllvanians in action and decided to form a unit based on their superior size and strength), the soldiers are expected to fully obey their commander, and are beaten for so much as speaking to an officer without their written permission.
Appearance: Over a meter tall, carrying a manly weapon chambered in either 8x65 or 8.5x70mm rounds, they wear bright red uniforms to both offer themselves as targets to cowardly enemies, and to hide blood if they get shot.
Primary Ethnicity: White Anglo-Saxon, although there are a few people of Nordic or Scottish decent, and even one black man
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: Take your pick, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternativ ... he_British

Short Range Weapon(s):Sword (Officers only), 12 in bayonet/dagger (Enlisted only), Grenades (Enlisted only), Desert Eagle (Officers only)
[b]Mid Range Weapon:
Panzerfaust 3, BR-95 Rifle (heavy rifle, fires 8x65mm rounds), WMA Type I Service Rifle (bolt action rifle, fires 8.5x70mm round, used as a sniper rifle)
Long Range Weapon(s): BR-95 Rifle (heavy rifle, fires 8x65mm rounds), WMA Type I Service Rifle (bolt action rifle, fires 8.5x70mm round, used as a sniper rifle) They can be used, but probably will only be used in retaliation if the enemy fires first.
Special Weapon(s): Have a silly weapon that is useless for all practical battlefield applications? Right on, paste it here!
Explosive Weapon(s): Grenades

[b]Challenge:
The Guard
Deployment: The entire unit of 3,100 men, most armed with rifles, with around 1/10th using sniper rifles
Restrictions: No form of support of any kind, no artillery, planes, or vehicles
Location: A wide open plain, perfect for harching, using large rifles, and hand to hand combat

Tactics: March towards the enemy with swords drawn, bayonets fixed, or ready to use your rocket tube as a club, if the enemy shoots at you, shoot at him twice as much.

Unit: The XVI Imperial Militia Legion

Short Description: The Imperial Militia is, much like regular militia, raised in times of national emergency. Unlike units of regular militia, it is composed of decorated veterans who volunteer for service (as opposed to random peasants conscripted on the whim of the local recruiting officer). Obviously, this means that there are few Imperial Militia legions about, given the Russian Empire's lack of decorated veterans with all their limbs still on. Still, there are enough that 20 legions (equivalent to a regiment) of Imperial Militia are on the roles, each with their own interesting and usually glorious history.

Training: As veterans, all of the men in the Imperial Militia have undergone and survived standard Russian army training, with its roughly 20% casualty rate, insane sergeants and food which is guaranteed to contain all of your required nutritional value and none of the taste you love. You will, however, clean your plate because failing to enjoy the food provided to you so graciously by the Tsar is punishable by 5 lashes with the knout.

Morale/Discipline: Naturally, the Imperial Militia is a bit higher up the ladder than the regular militia, and, indeed, many line regiments. Like many Russian regiments, they enjoy the natural advantage of the Russian army's apparent lack of any sort of sense for danger and will happily march into a hail of bullets if so instructed by their officers.

Appearance:
Image
Regular uniforms left and center, officer on the right.

Primary Ethnicity: Russians only. No filthy foreigners allowed.
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: "Ivan" would probably work.

Short Range Weapon(s):
-Linear revolver: A revolving pistol employing railgun technology. Useful for putting fist-sized holes in people. These are used by officers for some close-ranged firepower.
-Powered bayonets: Pointy bits of metal equipped with matter disrupting fields. Useful for slicing up tanks and people.
-Powered sabers (for officers): Sharp bits of metal with matter disrupting fields. Likewise the above. Also, they're sharp on their own and can be used to cut things in the traditional manner.
-Axes, knives, sharp things: Whatever the militiaman happens to be carrying with him at the time of activation that can be used as a weapon. It's amazing the creative things one can do with a flensing knife on the battlefield.

Mid Range Weapon:
-Linear Musket: While only truely accurate at 50 paces, they are capable of hitting a man-sized target at up to 200 paces and vaporizing a goodly portion of said target. Linear muskets are tremendously powerful weapons, thus, while they do not hit often, what they do hit will almost certainly be very dead on impact. Standard ammunition is a .69 caliber explosive anti-personnel slug with limited anti-armor ability. On average, a trooper can attain a rate of fire of six rounds per minute.

Long Range Weapon(s):
-Linear Rifle: Like a musket, but accurate. Linear rifles also take longer to load, resulting in the rate of fire being reduced to two or three rounds per minute at most. However, the ability to knock down a soldier at 500 yards with such a weapon is a great benefit.
-6lb light cannon: A small cannon designed primarily for anti-personel use, although it is quite effective against most vehicles when firing solid shot. At around 200 yards cannons employ grapeshot to decimate enemy ranks or to remove any troublesome obstacles, like houses, office buildings and hills. These can also act as AA weapons if required, in which case explosive flak shells are often employed.

Special Weapon(s):
-Kinetic Shields: Kinetic shields are what keeps the Russian soldier alive until he can close with the enemy. These work by converting the kinetic energy of incoming rounds into light and sound, resulting in a bright flash and a bang, and the bullet dropping out of the sky. They are also keyed to divert incendiary weapons and will stop explosive concussions.

Explosive Weapon(s):
-Grenades: Just grenades. There's not really much to explain. They go boom and spread sharp metal bits everywhere in the process.

Challenge: Well, these ARE only militia, so we'll stick with the Grenadiers.

Deployment:
2,000 men

Restrictions:
Since we're doing FT vs. MT here, I'll only say no WMD's, that way the Russian Navy won't show up and godrod the battlefield into oblivion.

Location:
Since the Imperial Militia are not deployed abroad, and it seems appropriate, we'll go for Balaclava, the Crimea.

Tactics:
Naturally, the Imperial Militia being a trained unit priding itself on honor and discipline, they will line up under cover of their kinetic shields and march towards the opposing line with support from their artillery. On closing to a range of 200 yards, they will open fire and then take one of two routes.
If the enemy is advancing towards them, they will hold their ground and continue to fire volleys until the enemy has closed to 20 yards before launching a counter-charge. If the enemy is holding a defensive position, they will reload on the march, firing as necessary, before beginning their own charge at 50 yards and firing a volley at point-blank range.
Naturally, they will search for any standard bearers or flags to capture, this being a key part of European, and civilized, warfare.
I AM DISAPPOINTED

Unit: Frattelo
Short Description:The unit consists of young girls fitted with cybernetic implants as agents. The implants, which consist of synthesized muscles and carbon fiber frames, result in heightened strength and reflexes as well as high resilience to damage and pain. Each girl is paired with a male trainer, or "handler", and together they are referred to as a fratello.

Training: a common part of each girl's regimen is brainwashing called "conditioning", which produces a deadly assassin with unquestioning loyalty to her handler but also limits her life span. In addition to this the girls have "implants" which consist of synthesized muscles and carbon fiber frames, result in heightened strength and reflexes as well as high resilience to damage and pain.

Morale/Discipline: These girls obey all orders without question and will die to protect there handlers. They shoot to kill and show no mercy or regret.

Appearance:
Five girls without handlersImage

Primary Ethnicity: Dosn't matter mostly Italian

Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: Macchine (Mac-e-ney), senz'anima (Senz- anima)

Short Range Weapon(s):FNP-90,Heckler & Koch MP5,Walther P22, Benelli M4 semi-auto .

Mid Range Weapon: TSR-77A/K/M/G Modular Weapon System (Rifle, Carbine, SAW, DMR respectively) Bayonet.

Long Range Weapon(s):TSR-79 7x50mm caseless enhanced battle rifle/TSR-80 7x50mm SWS,Dragunov, CheyTac Intervention
Special Weapon(s): Stiletto,throwing knifes,trip mines,

Explosive Weapon(s): AT-95 95mm disposable recoilless rocket launcher (950mm RHAe penetration), AT-130 130mm Frontal Engagement Weapon (tandem charge and upgunned version of AT-95, 1,300mm RHAe penetration after ERA, 1,750mm without ERA) Bouncing betty mines, and C-4

Challenge: the Regulars
Deployment: 4 fratellos. (4 girls w/ 4 handlers)
Restrictions: No airpower or WMD.
Location: Urban city us attacking.

Tactics: They coordinate with the other fratello's in there ops. Expert snipers cover the area, and the ground troops place mines and bombs at strategically important points. Breach and clear and guerrilla tactics are also strong strategies. The use hit and run tactics as well.

OOC: Um, would FT be acceptable, if not...

Unit: Advanced Reconnaissance Force (ARF) Human volunteers

Short Description: The elite special forces of Saurisia, the ARF are tasked with the job of going behind enemy lines and harass the enemy. These elite troopers are encased in a special armor that gives them protection from small arms fire and shrapnel.

Training: They are given 5 brutal years of training, where they learn the basics of weapons training, survival on their own, fighting behind enemy lines, and learning how to fight in all environment.

Morale/Discipline: ARF troopers have nerves of steel, and have high morale and are considerably disciplined. Their officer doesn't abuse them beyond yelling at them and calling them nasty names (i.e like R. Lee Ermney), and even then, not all officers act like this to their men.

Appearance: Image
What an ARF trooper looks like, please note that this is a Lieutenant, regular troopers have plain white armor, while Captains have red armor

Primary Ethnicity: Caucasian, many have New Zealand accents
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: Saurisians are commonly called "Sauries" if that's suitable

Short Range Weapon(s): M161 pistol, knife
Mid Range Weapon: M13 carbine
Long Range Weapon(s): M15 sniper rifle
Special Weapon(s): We have special grenades and grenade launcher projectiles that, upon detonation, release a thick bank of gas that looks like smoke, though upon contact, any non-Dinosaur individual goes into a deep sleep, at which one or several hours (depending on the type of Transforming Grenade), the victim wakes up as a Dinosaur (the particular species depends on the particular type of Transforming Grenade). This is designed to both sew confusion and chaos amongst the enemy and gain new Dino recruits for the Saurisian military. Overall, this is an unusual weapon, but it could serve as a counter against bayonet charges (at least until the supply of grenades runs out)
Explosive Weapon(s): M3 grenade, M45 rocket launcher, M2 grenade launcher

Challenge: The Guards, bring em on!
Deployment: 12 riflemen, 6 officers, 3 snipers, 5 anti-tank troopers, 3 jetpack troopers, 5 Lightweight All Terrain Combat Vehicles (LATCV), 5 M60 man-portable walkers
Restrictions: No artillery
Location: Open ground, with small collections of trees and the occasional house

Tactics: Use the mobility of the ARF troopers' vehicles to move around quickly and attack the enemy from behind and harass them. Encirclement and pincer movement tactics are commonly used. If the enemy employs a bayonet or cavalry charge, employ Transforming Grenades that would hopefully stop the first couple waves and delay the enemy for a short time, at which time, take out the remaining enemies using sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and rocket launchers.

Actually, we use Dinosaurs sparingly, instead sending Humans to fight through the worst part of a battle, once the tide is turned, the Dinosaurs are sent in to finish the job. In other words, Dinosaur and Reptile soldiers are precious to us, while the Humans, well... they're fair game to do the worst fighting.

Unit: Generic Brachyurian Marines
Short Description: Incredibly overzealous. Worship anything crab shaped, and have a religious hatred of seagulls and all it's similarly squawky ilk. Hatred carries on to aeroplanes and Dutch people with wing suits.
Training: Standard fare, except with bi-monthly expeditions to the southern border coastline to engage in battle with "the accursed seagull menace."
Morale/Discipline: 'Salright. Nothing fancy.
Appearance: Generic modern soldier appearance, but with more beards than usual. Because beards are cool I guess.
Primary Ethnicity: Caucasian.
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: "Crab lovers" and various implications regarding the pubic louse that shares a name with the source of their worship.

Short Range Weapon(s): Your standard modern assault rifle, also a knife if things get closer still.
Mid Range Weapon: Your standard modern assault rifle, also a knife if the person in question is very good at throwing.
Long Range Weapon(s): Your standard modern assault rifle with a scope attached, also your standard military grade sniper rifle.
Special Weapon(s): Support of the navy, when nearby enough. Also used to ride giant crabs into battle, but sadly, machine guns put a stop to that glorious age.
Explosive Weapon(s): Your standard modern hand grenade.

Challenge: Regulars
Deployment: Lets say 20 dudes, 2 LAVs, and a crab mascot.
Restrictions: None.
Location:
Image

Tactics:
Plan A: Shoot at enemy. Continue until all enemies are shot. Use naval support to be all "pew pew" at enemy where necessary.
Plan B: Infiltrate enemy lines with specially trained operatives. Convince large numbers of Nickyllvanian soldiers to show around a picture of "the girl they've got waiting back home." Revert to plan A, and wait for cruel fate to take it's course.
Plan C: Pretend to be a band of lost farmers. When troops are sent in to investigate, remove the cow suits disguising the LAVs and catch them by surprise.

(We generally do not participate in such "challenge" matches, however this opportunity seemed far too enticing to pass up.)

Unit: 91st Grenadiers Brigade/Special Operations Command
Short Description: The origins of the 91st Grenadiers go back to 1783 with the formation of the Pordegray Grenadiers Regiment (now the 59th Infantry Reg’t). In the reorganization of 1827, the Pordegrays were combined with the 79th Infantry, the East Masons to form the 91st Demi-Brigade of 4 Battalions, 2 from each regiment. In 1879 the unit was further expanded to a full brigade with the addition of a 3rd Battalion from each regiment. The current TOE of the 91st Grenadiers Brigade was set in 1992 and includes 1st Bn/59th Inf, 5th Bn/59th Inf, 3rd Bn/79th Inf, 7th Bn/79th Inf, 2nd Sq/11th Armoured Regt, 2nd Bn/18th Artillery Regt, plus support units. Unit strength is 6,500
Training: Near constant training in rapid fire and manoeuvre techniques. They are one of the primary “spearhead” units of the Royal Army
Morale/Discipline: Extremely high morale, as they are considered the elite heavy infantry/combined arms unit in the army.
Appearance: They will be wearing this patch. Image
Primary Ethnicity: Harberian.
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: Some of the more common are Harbs, Fisheaters, Poofs (generally only used by those former colonial ingrates in Nastic)
Short Range Weapon(s): Lorning 57 pistol, the Mk.XVII Fragmentation Grenade, and the Lorning P90 submachinegun.
Mid Range Weapon:Pordegray Arms G36 Rifle.
Long Range Weapon(s): 30mm chaingun (Warrior IFV main gun), 120mm twin mortars (Panther mortar carrier), 120mm cannon (Challnger MBT main gun), 155 howitzer (Sabretooth SPA main gun), Havoc MLRS
Special Weapon(s): (see above)
Explosive Weapon(s): (see above)

Challenge: the Nicksyllvanian Grenadiers
Deployment: The entire 91st would deploy for combat, as they train and fight as a unit.
Restrictions: Restrictions? Have you gone peculiar?
Location: Fort Hancock, Eugene County, Aberdeen Province
Tactics: We propose a 3 day affair, You defend a prepared position on day 1, we defend a prepared position on day 2, and an open terrain meeting engagement on day 3. If you dare.

Info on the Royal Army and their equipment can be found Here

Unit: Heerstosstruppen/Sondergruppen

Short Description: Stosstruppen are trained in Hell. Literally. Although they're prone to PTSD and random psychological ailments on the battlefield, most of them are hardened beyond belief and mentally immune to the Ruinous Powers of Chaos, depressing psychic aura, Twilight, Cthulhu, Jesus Christ, and televangelists (at the same time, too). Beyond this immense mental stamina is, however, nothing more than a fanatically devoted human. A couple good 7.62x54mmR or 7.62x63mm rounds to the chest will drop him quite nicely.

Training: They go into Hell. Whoever comes out gets recruited into their ranks and locked up in an asylum until needed.

Morale/Discipline: Literally unbreakable. Well, unbreakable if you're not giant spiders, but anything else they'll go ahead and charge with bayonets and try to eat it's throat out. So I'd rank them high on the "morale" part. Discipline, however, leaves much to be desired, especially compared to regular Army. They will loot, rape, murder, pillage and burn anything they come across, which is why the entire officer corps is regular Army. Also, their divisions have at least one regiment of regular Army troops (referred to as Sondergruppen) attached (usually it's two regiments of Sondergruppen, at the most) to provide some semblance of discipline amongst the Stosstruppen.

Appearance: This without all the lights and more camouflage colours.

Primary Ethnicity: German.
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: Hun, Kraut, Fritz, Heini, boxhead, squarehead, and boche.

Short Range Weapon(s): TSP-9 4.5mm caseless semi-auto pistol
Mid Range Weapon: TSR-77A/K/M/G Modular Weapon System (Rifle, Carbine, SAW, DMR respectively)
Long Range Weapon(s): TSR-79 7x50mm caseless enhanced battle rifle/TSR-80 7x50mm SWS. I guess the TSR-77G DMR would go here, too, since it has a range of 600m. Think M16 SDM-R and you have the right idea.
Explosive Weapon(s): AT-95 95mm disposable recoilless rocket launcher (950mm RHAe penetration), AT-130 130mm Frontal Engagement Weapon (tandem charge and upgunned version of AT-95, 1,300mm RHAe penetration after ERA, 1,750mm without ERA), and M990A1 Flame Assault Weapon (FAW). Variants of the AT-95 are also equipped with WP or incendiary warheads. M795 90mm mortar (and the M794 60mm and M796 120mm), whichfires mustard gas, VX, HE, WP, top-attack and airburst shells. M303 250mm nuclear recoilless rifle. (Davy Crockett in spaaaaace with more oomph in the powder charge and rocket attached to the shell itself, giving it a six mile range. It's also loaded with a 0.1-5 KT nuclear warhead.). Other cool shit like flamethrower rocket launchers and cruise missiles powered by nuclear reactors.

Challenge: Guard cuz we got manly balls of steel.
Deployment: 4 divisions, with organic air and nuclear assets.
Restrictions: Nothing.
Location: Some rolling hills with lots of dips and slopes. Maybe a few villages or small towns to mix it up.

Tactics: Advance through or from cover-to-cover, maintain noise discipline and fire discipline. When in contact with the enemy, soldiers are trained to use machine guns and the IFV's 30mm cannon to form a base of fire for suppression/elimination of enemy gunners, while riflemen try to find a better firing location. Continuing this slow advance, the enemy is constantly bombarded by deep penetrating artillery in an attempt to disrupt armour units and conduct limited counter-battery fire. Mortars and recoilless rifles are used in indirect and direct fires to destroy enemy fortifications and pin down soldiers in trenches using HE, while airburst shells neutralise targets in defilade.

Helicopter gunships and UAVs are used on a tactical level to break enemy armoured charges and harass light infantry units, while SPHs and towed guns provide indirect fire support. There is a strong emphasis on artillery and indirect fires in general, in an attempt to reduce the enemy as much as possible before fire contact by direct fire units such as tanks and infantry. If an objective is heavily fortified, and structural survival is not necessary, nuclear weapons may be employed along with an armoured spearhead by mechanised units to break the enemy's lines.

Of course, this is only employed by the attached regular Army troops. (The Sondergruppen)

Stosstruppen simply fix bayonets and charge towards the enemy, hyped up on methamphetamines, cocaine, PCP and other illegal drugs in an attempt to make themselves slightly more survival during suicidal charges. They also fire from the hip and try to claw enemy soldiers' eyeballs out, eat their throats out, or stab them repeatedly, then bludgeon the bleeder to death, and finally devour the corpse.

Training: Surviving all by his lonesome on a tropical island for uncountable years, surviving on nothing but psychoactive cabbages
Morale/Discipline: Most commanding presence on islane. Took control of cabbage government by sheer will alone.

Primary Ethnicity: Tanish
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: C'nut-sucker

Short Range Weapon(s):Pointy stick
Mid Range Weapon: rocks
Long Range Weapon(s): Crazy shouting
Special Weapon(s): Fear the War Cabbage, the ones who will devour all.
Explosive Weapon(s): Old man bowels
Challenge: Erm... a shopping cart may stand a chance...or a wet floor...So the Guard  !
Deployment: One Doktah, several billion cabbages
Restrictions: The cabbages can't reach planes... so no aircraft?
Location: A well defended in Nicksyllvannia. You would be defending.
Tactics: The old guy charges straight for the fort, the cabbages would begin growing within the fort at an alarming rate and attempt to devour anything in their path. The cabbages are also Psychotropic... so I wouldn't eat them and would wash my hands after you touch them...

Unit: Ramset Imperial Ordinators
Short Description: Ordinators are a heavy infantry force wrapped in the best armour available, and equipped with bullet, shrapnel, and bayonet-resistant tower shields. They are networked through the rest of the RIDF to be able to call in support from any other element in the area, from skirmishing combat tanks, a friendly sniper team, all the way up to the airborne capitol ships.
Training: Ramset Ordinator training is two-three months longer, on average, than comparable infantry training. It focuses around secondary soldiering skills over direct weapons usage, stamina and strength training, and working in a mixed-force approach, along with SWAT-level police training.
Morale/Discipline: The Ramset Ordinators, men and women alike, have never once retreated from battle without good reason, like having an ambush set up just around the corner. Their morale is relatively high thanks to their (Possibly misguided) trust in their shield and armour, and the fact that the entire RIDF stands with them as a united front.
Appearance: Ramset Ordinators are clad in imposing heavy armour, that makes the soldier look much larger, but also anonymous, lending well to an intimidation effect. Their helmets sport electronics used for target designation and rangefinding for friendly military assets, and serve to identify rank, based off markings on the forehead plate.
Primary Ethnicity: Black, White, Brown, Yellow...If you're fit enough to be an Ordinator, and a citizen of Ramsetia, we'll accept you.
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: Sheep (as in 'Ram'setia), individual racial slurs.

Short Range Weapon(s): 10mm auto semi-automatic pistol, non-standard Ramset Straightblade or Mace
Mid Range Weapon: Flak Rifle when used as a shotgun with breech-detonated shells, .45 ACP SMG
Long Range Weapon(s): 5.54mm assault rifle, any friendly Sniper or Machine Gun units in the area
Special Weapon(s): Ramset Ballistic Tower Shield, airburst recoilless rifle rounds
Explosive Weapon(s): delayed-fuse Flak and HE shells for flak rifles, timed-fuse grenades of varying types, 28mm recoilless rifle.

Challenge: Grenadiers
Deployment: 2 units of Ordinators, 1 gunship support element, 1 skirmisher/light tank support element, 1 Machine gun support element
Restrictions: 'equivalent' battlegroups. So...any combination of 5 or less elements, with at least 1 unit grenadiers.
Location: Dense Mesas and rocky canyons, desert climate, no convenient shorelines.

Tactics: Develop ambush and crossfire points, utilise tanks to herd hostile mobile forces towards kill zones, and gunships as field commanders see fit, preferably in anti-armour or anti-artillery roles. Refuse any chance to attach bayonets.

Ordinators:
10 Ordinators to a unit, broken down into;
2 Ordinator-Charger (Flak Rifles)
6 Ordinator-Trooper (Assault Rifles)
1 Ordinator-Destroyer (Recoilless Rifle, SMG)

Extendable sensor mast for looking over ridges
variable loadout possibilities including Anti-tank missiles, delayed-fuse anti-landship missiles, forward-firing unguided rockets, Dumb-drop bombs, radar-guided all-target missiles, and equipment drop pods.
Assorted countermeasures

Unit: Carjack's Revenge

Short Description: Carjack's Revenge is a unit of formerly-human robots who, for various reasons, have a hell of a chip on their shoulders towards their former species. They excel at genocide, looting, razing giant cities, and forcing any survivors into permanent mine slavery.

Training: They have all installed every Military Data Pack so they are knowledgeable in all known tactics/strategies. They have then spent several months doing actual training, culminating in live-fire war games.

Morale/Discipline: Thanks to the extreme increase in power that comes from being Decepticons instead of humans, they tend to think of themselves as invincible. They are quite disciplined when they need to be, but when looting they tend to get a bit rowdy. Their General, Carjack, can act very civilized when it's strategic to do so. This is his typical demeanor, but don't let it fool you: Carjack is our most genocidal general. Debugging has identified several psychopathic tendencies in this General, but under the direct order of Leader Megatron, these aspects have not been patched - the Leader wants some troops who have no qualms about being responsible for mass population drops.

Appearance: Image too big. Look here: http://www.scalesetc.com/Deceptijets.jpg

Primary Ethnicity: G1 Decepticons. 100-ft-tall robots. A human easily fits in a Decepticon's hand.

Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: piles of reject parts, pieces of slag

Short Range Weapon(s): Standard Decepticon Blasters
Mid Range Weapon: Standard Decepticon Blasters
Long Range Weapon(s): Standard Decepticon Blasters
(Yep, we can blast at any of the ranges you specified!)

Special Weapon(s): Nothing like this in this unit.
Explosive Weapon(s): Not standard equipment. We prefer to use our blasters to detonate YOUR grenades. Before you throw 'em. We also step on grenade-armed soldiers to hear the funny little pop they make when they blow up.

Challenge: We challenge the Grenadiers, due to the above. And anyone who thinks a bayonet charge would work, too!
Deployment: 100 Decepticon troops. Oh, you do remember that we transform into fighter jets, right? Good.
Restrictions: We are EMP-proof (Faraday caging + secret methods) so don't even try that.
Location: We are flying in to raid your refinery, of course! If you don't have any, then we're flying in to take over your biggest oil field and build our own refinery!

Tactics: This is what would happen if all goes well for us...

We fly in, dodging any SAM fire you manage to send up, and laugh as you run out of missiles long before we run out of troops. As we come in closer, we strafe the heck out of anything that isn't some kind of petroleum product.

We then land - preferably on your heads - and begin to take all of your oil/gasoline/etc. Our troops set up a defensive perimeter and blast any of your mush-bags stupid enough to think that your weapons that were made to destroy puny humans can do anything to Decepticons! Your vaunted bayonet charges merely scratch our ankle-paint, and we kick your bayoneters away like the mice they are. Of course, these hydraulic-powered kicks turn your troops into bags of broken bones and deactivate them.

Once they realize the bayonet charge is total fail, the remaining Grenadiers start acting like their name suggests and trying to get us with grenades. We take aim at the grenades in their hands, and cause them to detonate before they're thrown. This takes out those who are stupid enough to dawdle in their throwing motions.

We laugh as the grenades that do manage to get thrown burst uselessly against our heavily-reinforced leg panels without even rattling the supports deep inside. Eventually, we decide it's time to go ahead and just step on your trooplets like the ants they are, and soon the ground runs red with Nicksyllvanian blood and guts.

If you send any tanks, we use them as tracked roller skates. If you decide to aim at one guy, another one comes from the other side and steps on the tank from that direction. If there are too many tanks to pull that, we just blast 'em until there are no longer so many tanks!

Dirty tricks:
We find all the little brown humans you always have with you, and easily convince them to join us and get revenge on you. This screws up your transportation plans pretty good, since even if you bayonet 'em, you still now have to carry your own shit. This puts at least half your army out of commission since they have their hands full of crap. Otherwise, you lose all that stuff those boys were lugging around. Either way it's good for us.

As we refine your oil into our Energon, we are left with lots of tar, asphalt, and other such crummy by-products. We dump all of this crap onto any of your troops who still want to commit suicide by trying to attack us. If they don't drown, we then light it up and see if extreme heat makes humans turn molten or burst into flames.

Any surviving members of your pathetic army that avoided being burned are then picked up like little puppies, tied up, and sent to our mines as slaves. Since they refuse to work for us, they are then sent to Biological Rendering, where they are ground up and used as raw materials for biofuel production.

Of course, we're sure your Department of Totally Ridiculous Propaganda will come up with a completely different scenario...

OoC: Hot dang this'll be interesting :)
Unit: 47th Battle-group (Mechanized) (Highland)
Short Description: One of the premier mechanized battle groups in the Albrantean army. Composed mainly of battle hardened veterans of the Eden Campaign and fresh but well trained recruits. Like most of the Albrantean Army, which is relatively small and quite selective, they are well equipped and trained.
Training: Well each Albrantean Professional Soldier goes through a 52 week training course. With the first 12 weeks on rudimentary discipline and miscellaneous details like firearms maintenance and survival training. Then it branches out to encompass combat skills such as marksmanship, hand to hand combat (which is a blend of Krav Maga and Royal Marine Combat) and demolitions, then it finishes off with their units specialty. Which is ,in the case of a Highland Mechanized Battle-group, effective IFV mobile warfare and shock troop/urban room storming tactics.
Morale/Discipline: Whilst an average Albrantean Soldier is chivalrous and brave but capable of carrying out their orders with chilling professionalism, the Highland soldiers add an extra measure of ferocity and a never say die attitude.
Appearance:
Image

Charging an enemy position whilst dismounted during the Eden Campaign.

Primary Ethnicity: Caucasian.
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: Albies or Jockies which is specific to highlanders.

Short Range Weapon(s): Advanced Hand to Hand and Bayonet, No hesitation to use L87A1 Assault Rifle at close range.
Mid Range Weapon: L87A1 Individual Weapon System. 7mm, used in single shot is accurate up to 600m for point fire.
Long Range Weapon(s): L87 Assault Rifle can push quite far into this range with appropriate zoomed optics, L115A1 AWSM sniper rifle.
Special Weapon(s): Not really a weapon but some soldiers have been know to take to the field with bagpipes and wearing tartan for morale purposes.
Explosive Weapon(s): Frag Grenades and Starstreak II missile with both enlarged and fragmentation penetrators (For both Anti-Tanks and Anti-Infantry applications in addition to Anti-Air)

Challenge: Whilst these troops are top notch i'll not be towing it with the guard, yet. So the Nicksylvanian Grenadiers for now please.
Deployment: I'll deploy roughly a third of the Battle-group(540 Combatants) 320 Infantry. 40 Gladiator IFVs with 3 crew each. 25 Cavalier Tanks with 4 crew each.
Restrictions: No artillery, short range mortars are permitted, and no air support. I assume you will deploy with similar numbers.
Location: For now I wont indulge your bayonet storming attitude, I will challenge you to fight on a relatively flat and open plain, with solid ground and knee deep, low density grass.

Tactics: Ideal Plan: They will use an armored charge with tanks, whilst 2/3 of the infantry attempt to skirmish with the enemy at their weapons maximum range. The Infantry Fighting Vehicles will provide both portable cover and suppression/grouped elimination with their combination of 40mm Auto-cannon and WTOW missile turrets (on a ratio of 4/1). The final 1/3 of the infantry will fill sand bags/build small trenches to provide soft cover and a fall-back point. Then they will use Starstreak IIs to disable enemy armor. Finally the tanks will begin to reverse once over extension becomes a risk. Once your army is suitably weakened/disoriented the infantry will mount up and the whole force will form and armored spear towards your line, were they will dismount and hopefully mop up the remaining enemy.

Feel free to TG asking any details I have failed to divulge.

Let's fight fire with fire then!
Unit: The 10th Shock Regiment
Short Description: The fury of Wolohanistan incarnate, these men are the modern equivalent of an ancient and proud Wolohanistani tradition, using berserkers in battle.
Training: All shock troopers start out as an average soldier in the WPLA. After at least 10 years of service they are chosen. After which they go through extensive indoctrination procedures. Most importantly, they will spend years building up a suitable resistance to the substance vital to all shock troopers. The "Combat Enhancement Drug". A concoction primarily made from a species of psychoactive and hallucinogenic fungus endemic to Wolohanistan. Rumours that Ergot is in the mixture are denied. With the regiment's famed fatality rate, only the best survive.
Morale/Discipline: Unwavering. They are tripping major balls.
Appearance: I'll use that template I pinched borrowed from you. If you don't mind.
Image

Primary Ethnicity: White
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: Ink-Skin, Many Wolohanistani's bear tribal tattoos in typical geometric patterns.

Short Range Weapon(s): WMA Mk.4a Revolver, Falchion and bayonet
Mid Range Weapon: WMA Mk.1 Shock Trooper Assualt/Battle Shotgun (STABS)
Long Range Weapon(s):WMA GPMG 7.92x57
[b]Special Weapon(s):
The Honour Device. If shock trooper is to die, he is expected to take the enemy with him. Essentially a belt of plastic explosives.
Explosive Weapon(s): WMA Service Grenades, in High explosive, Fragmentation and white phosphourous.

Challenge: The Guard!
Deployment: 10,000.
Restrictions: No artillery! We want a good Infantry vs. Infantry
Location: We'll be attacking, the 10th shock are too fidgety for defence. The battle shall take place on the central Wolohanistani steppe, in the barren expanse found in the North and East.

Tactics: Charge towards enemy while screaming War Chants. Shoot in the general direction of the enemy while advancing. When close enough, engage in close combat. Preferably with falchion.

OOC: In answer to the topic title, probably very.

Unit: 11th Hussars
Short Description: The most respected cavalry unit of the Mikedorian Army, the 11th Hussars have earned a reputation for extreme (some would say suicidal) bravery and ability for both dismounted and mounted combat, along with a healthy disregard for anything less than a perfect uniform. The deliveries of the new khaki battledress uniform have consistently 'been lost' or 'accidentally burned in the barrack room stoves', meaning that the regiment is currently the only non-Guard Regiment still not wearing khaki.
Training: New troopers spend three weeks learning drill, followed by a month long riding course. This is followed by three weeks of swordsmanship instruction and a month of training with their carbines. This is then followed by three weeks intensive mounted combat training followed by another three weeks of dismounted combat training. The regiment conducts 4 days of further manoeuvres once a month.
Morale/Discipline: Morale is very high due to the troopers perception of their superiority, and Colonel Dalton controls the regiment by a mixture of 'carrot and stick'.
Appearance: Image The red trousers are from an incident when the regiment cut through such a large number of Zulus that the troopers white trousers became soaked in blood. On hearing of this, the King decreed that the 11th Hussars would now wear red trousers as a distinguishing mark.
Primary Ethnicity: 60% White, 40% Black
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: 'You're just like *insertrandomnationhere*, 'You've got some dirt on your breeches!'

Short Range Weapon(s):
Image
Cavalry Pattern Sword, Beaumont-Adams Revolver
Mid Range Weapon:
Image
Cartridge: .577/450 Martini-Henry
Action: Falling Breechblock, lever-actuated
Range: 600m (volley fire), 350m (aimed fire)
Rate of Fire: ~ 10 rpm

Long Range Weapon(s):2x Gatling gun, chambered in .577/450 Martini-Henry, 2x 12 pounder Armstrong Gun
Special Weapon(s): Trained Cavalry Horse (bites, kicks)

Challenge: Grenadiers
Deployment: 500 men, 2 Gatling guns
Restrictions: No airpower, no tanks
Location: On a large open steppe

Tactics: One squadron of 250 men will peg their horses and advance in skirmish order towards the Nicksyllvanian line, with the Gatlings moving up in support. They will then use their carbines and the Gatlings to engage the enemy and cover the advance of the other squadron, who will be mounted. If the Nicksyllvanians move to close order to protect themselves from the cavalry, the dismounted squadron and the Gatlings will continue to fie until they are sufficiently worn down for the mounted squadron to be able to mount a successful charge. If the Nicksyllvanians stay in loose order, the mounted squadron will charge as soon as possible, with the dismounted squadron concentrating fire on the enemy in support. The artillery will provide fire support whichever strategy is adopted.

Welcome to 1938.

I thought ten thousand swords must have leaped from their scabbards to avenge even a look that threatened her with insult. But the age of chivalry is gone. That of sophisters, economists, and calculators has succeeded; and the glory of Europe is extinguished for ever.

One of the most evil, batshit insane, monocle wearing nations in ALL of NS has challenged other to fight him? This will not go well. But, when in rome... o_q

Unit: Lemonian Royal Guard, Foreign Detachment
Short Description:
The Lemonian Royal Guard is the specialised force assigned to protect The Matriarch, such an honour can only be bestowed on a soldier after recieving the Leadership Medal. Further exeptional performance will attract the attention of The Matriarch, and she will decide who enters the special unit. Standard forces often refer to the Royal Guard as the 'Commandos'. A severe practice enforced by the 'Commandos' is that should a soldier recieve a wound that requires bandaging, they are shot; this practice prevents hinderance to the force and prompts soldiers to shoot before the enemy do, to ensure they are not shot for being wounded. The Armour and weapons they use are enhanced ones of those the Colonial Marines use. Their LV-Mk2 (RG) (Lemonian Velese-Mark 2 Royal Guard) is made of the same Velese alloy, but it is bronzed, producing a superior look. As well as this, it is equipped with a damage resistor shield, a device which sends pulse energy between the layers of Velese, creating a shield. This makes the 'Commandos' able to withstand more damage than the average Colonial Marines. They use the Destroyer Pulse Rifle, it uses many more gadgets than other weapons, giving the 'Commandos' the edge. The Royal Guard is seperated into two Detachments, Home and Foreign. Home is always stationed on Lemonius, to protect The Matriarch, and they are often seen around The Matriarch and Government districts. The Foreign Detachment are the 'Commandos', serving more of a special forces role, but they are rarely called into action.

For Security and ease of Communication all members of the Royal Guard are taught English when they are selected, as are standard soldiers who have the Commander Rank or above

Training: One year of standard training, 18 months of additional live-fire training in various kinds of terrain.
Morale/Discipline: An example of the severe discipline enforced by the unit is that wounded persons are shot to prevent hindrance to the rest of the unit.

Location: City Outskirts. Lemonius attacking.

Tactics: Force troops toward city outskirts using Gunships to bomb the advance defenders. Sent Scorpios in primarily with gunship support. In the event of massive casualties use the solar radioligy cannon mounted on the Gladius ship to destroy all remnants of both forces but then consider the operation a victory.

Hehe.... You seem to think your forces are invincible. Are they 12 meter tall cyborgs with demigod powers or something? Still, I'd like to take the challenge. Lets see how you fare against my most skilled MATRI-X Commando platoon, the Lynx platoon!

Unit: Lynx Commando platoon
Short Description: Blablabla. All I can say is that the officer of this platoon has 50 years of combat experience, and that all others have 30 years of combat experience. In the history of the platoon, only one member has ever fallen to enemy fire; she was hit in the chest and died later of blunt force trauma. (Although more members of the Lynx platoon have served, most of them were brought out of service because of their age.) I won't be adding much more information, but you must know these guys are determined as hell.
Training: (oh dear, here we go again) 3 years of training in the following subjects; marksmanship, advanced CQC, pistol use, melee weapon training and self defense, endurance, taking hits (Spetznaz and OMON training FTW), physical training, martial arts (Dystopian scientists have developed a martial arts skill specifically designed for CQC, which is optimized for maximum capability when wearing armour and holding a gun), RPG firing, using explosives, medical skills, undercover operations, communication, situational awereness, tactics, morale, propeganda, basic field repairs and improvised fortifications, breeching tactics, diversion, stealth, aerial insertion, and combined arms (working together with artillery, tanks, transports, and close air support). Plus some extra commando training. When they are not out to slaughter enemies, they train even more.
Morale/Discipline: Got balls of brass? Hah! These guys are learned to take hits and kill things since they're three years old! They have no mercy, no compassion, and no fear. One of my soldiers would even dare to attack a fully equipped Lyran tank division armed with a knife. (That is, if the officer would tell him to do so.) You can't say there is no dicipline in our army.
Appearance: Haha, you like this kind of humor, don't you? Here is a small picture: http://majikthise.typepad.com/photos/un ... losuit.jpg
Primary Ethnicity: "Do tell, we need to determine whether to load round or square bullets." Haha, very funny. No really, most of them are white, since the UV radiation coming from the sun barely reaches Dystopianus due to heavy clouds.
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: Oh wait, how you should call our units? Well, you can call them Wasties, or zombies, mercyless, or mindless ghosts. 'Cause that's basically what they are. By the way, we will call you Demons, Bajonet lumbers, or Nickles.

Short Range Weapon(s): A CP-9 pistol, which uses Thungsten AP rounds and has a maximum effective range of 125m.
Mid Range Weapon: The R2 Service Rifle. The most used rifle in NS, and with good reason.
Long Range Weapon(s): The DM carries an R2 Scout.
Special Weapon(s): A mini UAV which can carry small grenades. Useful against snipers.
Other Special Equipment: I'm sorry, I added this block because there was more stuff that didn't fall within the special weapons catagory. Our soldiers have advanced bodyarmour that is even stab proof (yes, I know you use bajonets). Furthermore, they have biogenetic enhancements which makes them much tougher. Every soldier uses an exoskeleton to carry more goods. The exoskeletons are also equipped with automated medical care. The armour is equipped with optical stealth, which makes a soldier literaly invisible to the human eye. That is, until e certain range. All troops have night vision divices. They have enhanced sound devices, so they can hear you're coming. And finally, all troops can communicate via speakers located inside the helmet.
Explosive Weapon(s): How about a Pilum RPG, Grenades, RDX explosives? Don't underestimate Dystopian weapons....

Challenge: Well, I would like to try them all out! Let's see how they will undersetimate the Dystopian commandoes! Let's start with the reggies.
Deployment: I'd rather send not a single vehicle. With the tactics the Lynx squad deploys, vehicles would only reveal their position.
Restrictions: If possible, how about a battle from man to man? You know, no helicopters, no tanks, just infantry. You're the guy who can't stop talking about honour, so you should be able to deal with this. Oh, and if possible, equal numbers. I will deploy 24 men. That would mean you can't deploy 3.000.000 of your bajonet lumbering militants.
Location: Some sort of dense forest would be good. That way, your guys can't bajonet charge and overwhelm us.

Tactics: "Once you choose your location, outline your tactics, strategy, and other dirty, underhanded tricks." Oh, so we're allowed to do tricks? Well, I choose stealth then. I'll be taking a defensive position, you will be searching for my forces. Lying in the grass, 1000m away from the enemy, suspressors mounted, and picking off the enemy soldiers one by one. They won't see it coming. Plus, I spread my forces throughout the area, and prepare some escape routes, in case just one of my men get detected. How does that sound?

In short; don't expect to win this easely.

No. No. You have no idea of the terror which a trained kitten squad can inflict, the horror and madness as the wall of fluffy death closes on you. I have been, I have seen. The art of the Kittenmeister is a truly terrible thing to behold

Nickies? Bahh cowards if you ask me, I mean look at them; wearing a helmet when the temperatures allow for a perfectly good hat!~ saying in the royal guard
Unit: the 120th Imerian rifle regiment
Short Description: The 120th is a regiment raised in Imeriata proper to serve in the second army and have served for almost 200 years since the date it were founded. As an Imerian regiment so where the 120th assigned to the hashes battles the federation fought were the subjugated races and peoples could not be trusted and can count battles such as the defence of Imerbürg and other major battles in the civil war amongst their victories. They were also as part of the second army part of the troops sent to defend Tergnitz during the crimson war even if they saw no battle.
Training: As most regiments of the royal so are training something short as the royal guard wants troopers fast to overwhelm their enemies and they can only count half a year were they trained to fight with bayonet and rifle.
Morale/Discipline: Even if Imerians are rather lacking on the training front so are discipline nothing they have in shortage and they do not only fight knowing that their cause is the righteous but the commoners are also follower of the holy chronicles which teach that the highest paradise is something only accessible to those who fall in battle and so do they commonly fight to death if there are no nobleman officer (that are not as religiously fanatic) in the proximity even if a retreat is a more tactical sounder move.
Appearance:
ImageImage

Primary Ethnicity: Imerians (rather similar to Scandinavians IRl)
Derrogatory Slurs against your nation: Rose worshippers or Rose burners is a common name for Imerians and people who follow the chronicle faith and in the federation are Eaglemen a common name as well even if it is not considered so offensive.

Short Range Weapon(s): Pistols will be carried by NCOs and officers and the troopers will be armed with 30 cm pike bayonets and the mighty tricorne.
Mid Range Weapon: KVSG battle rifle (no stats as of jet unfortunately but will probably be a rip of the heckler and koch G3
Long Range Weapon(s): every formation of 25 men will have one sharp shooter will be carry a semi-automatic KVSG designed for better accuracy
Special Weapon(s): every formation of 25 men will have either a mortar or a heavy machine gun.
Explosive Weapon(s): one grenade launcher will be found in each formation of 25 men and each man will carry two hand grenades.

Challenge: the Regulars
Deployment: One Imerian regiment (1750 men) with an attached minor artillery battery (3 heavy howitzers and personnel)
Restrictions: no tanks and no air support
Location: The 120th having fortified and entrenched themselves in a village to fend of a massive Nicksylvannian army

Tactics: The Imerians will be fighting a smaller example of the first world war and will have two trenches defending their village where they not only will use the houses to fire from but will have smaller forces defending the outer trench and a large force in the inner to counter attack when the outer trench falls. This will be done with the support of the heavy howitzers that will with the aid of GPS guided targeting system attempt to thin out the attacking ranks.

Sorry for the lack of stats for the guns but I am currently working on them and are not finished yet.
