The organization of Police in Saurisia is very fluid and the Police Wing is extremely well-funded, as it is seen as a key asset in curbing crime and keeping society safe.

There are the ordinary Police, used for ordinary Police duty and such like that. Please note this particular gentleman is Commander-In-Chief David Santorez, who wears a policeman-style uniform rather than the formal Green, Blue, Navy Blue, Sky Blue, or Dark Green ones worn by other military officers:




There is the Riot Police, men, females, and males assigned to deal with, well, riots:



Then, there's the Special Counter Terrorism Directive (SCTD), a special police unit not only assigned with dealing with terrorists, but also gangs, drug cartels, smuggling rings, and roving bands of muggers and bandits. Because of the extreme danger of their job, they are given special armor designed to protect them from blaster bolts:



There's the Special Weapons Policing Unit (SWPU), the Saurisian equivalent of SWAT. These guys are trained for tough and dangerous situations like hostage takings and such, and are the most heavily armed and armored branch of the Police:



And finally, there's the Rapid Response Unit (RRU), urban policemen whose jobs are to quickly deal with situations ranging from bank robberies to ship hijackings. Their emphasis is on speedy interceptions to deal with a situation as soon as possible before it gets worse.

Oh yes, and there is also the SP or State Police, our secret police. They are tasked with crushing violent dissidents as well as Communist, Nazi, or Human Supremacy activists, unapproved interspecies relationships (Reptilian-Mammalian), and the occasional (and very, very, very rare) homosexual relationship.

SP officers who work in the field also tend to wear civilian clothing, with trenchcoats, fedoras, and well-tended business suits underneath being the most common arrangement (it actually works, since it's actually a popular style among Saurisian male white-collar workers), though there are other styles.

Well thank you! Yeah, our police force was condemned by Amnesty Intl., Greenpeace, UN, etc. for repetitive use of excessive and even lethal force but we don't like protestors burning our flag or the flags of other nations. We love using loads of this stuff:

Aquairia's Internal Security Force (AISF the Aquairian equivalent of a police force/CIA/SWAT) is separated into multiple branches dedicated to specific duties.

State Troopers - The standard 'police' force that Aquairian State Trooper is the most common face of the AISF and most accessible by the public. (Most people can approach a State Trooper on the walk ways or in buildings.) They handle standard crimes such as robbery and domestic disturbances and murder as a few examples. Their face is to be friendly but stern. Their equipment entails a side arm of choice (Most often an Aquairian modeled version of the Makarov side arm), a tazer (Which is usually used for infield torture), a tear gas grenade, hand cuffs along with a knight stick with further equipment released for special assignments. While the State Trooper is represented as the brunt but kind faced front of the AISF their work is fairly laid back due to the non-existent crime rate, they are there mainly to help the residents feel safe and watch foreigners who are the highest majority of criminal offenders. The AISF also is responsible for running programs to educate the public on the different security forces in Aquairia. They also run community centers for the youthful to provide them with activities.
-State Bio-Troopers - Are a subsect of the Aquairian State Trooper the State Bio-Trooper is tasked with handling any biological and genetic research problems and illegal research that doesn't fall to the jurisdiction of the ACC (described further down).

Aquairian Anti-terror (AAT) Department - Watching as other countries suffer from 'terrorist' attack from factions within their own boarders or from abroad Aquairian decided to create their own Anti-Terror department. It is the smallest security division and has been reduced to boarder patrol for the most part. More often then not they do not have to hunt down targets, citizens will often point people out and let the AAT conduct investigations snuffing out attacks before they get off the ground. Their load out depends on the assignment. As a side job the AAT also covers illegal immigration usually resolving it with the muzzle of a rifle but still getting the job done.

Aquairian Cyber Crime Department (ACC) - Tasked with dealing with the growing number of hackers and cyber criminals as well as data theft and identity fraud problems growing in the world Aquairia started the ACC however as their own technology advanced the ACC is also tasked with other cyber crimes in Aquairia such as AI research infringements, rogue drones and illegal cybernetic implant development.

While on civil duty, the HMP use the Makarov pistol.

The Boehem National Police (Boehem Nationale Polizei, or BNP) is the only law enforcement agency in the nation and has full jurisdiction across the country. The police are very well-funded and have a considerable amount of power in Boehem; they are free to stop and search individuals at will as well as use deadly force on fleeing criminals. German Shepherd Dogs are used frequently to apprehend suspects or search for contraband.

Uniforms are tan, khaki and olive drab in colour. Officers wear bulletproof vests and have dark leather jackets for bad weather.

The Royal Northwest Wind Police is the territorial police force responsible for law enforcement within the Kingdom. It has an establishment of 15 Constables, a number of Reserve Constables, three Sergeants: one operations, one training and one Detective Sergeant, an Inspector and a Chief Superintendent who is the Director of Community Safety and Chief Police Officer. Two civilian police staff are employed, one as Senior Clerk and the other as a Licensing Officer. The Islands Prison is contained within the police building and governed by the Chief Police Officer.

An Island-wide service is provided with 24-hour cover. The control desk maintains a listening watch on marine and civilian emergency radio frequencies and is the terminus of the "999" emergency telephone system.

Officers carry Browning Hi-Powers on their persons and have a Remington Model 870 Shotgun in their vehicle.

The transport fleet consists of one Land Rover 90, Land Rover 110 for rural patrols, a major incident control vehicle and three Land Rover Discoveries, as general patrol vehicles.

The Carabinieri is a nationalized police force responsible for maintaining law and order in Adriattica. All 550 officers have firearm and arrest authority across the city-state.



They are well-dressed and respectable. As you can see, they still wear sabers. They also carry a pair of handcuffs and whistle.
