PLEASE READ: OOC: I ask that only MT/PMT nations who are based on the default " NSEarth" apply. This is merely for continuity issues, and is in no way an attempt to insult the FT community. All FT nations that have previous initiated contact, I plan to maintain that contact and just...fudge things a little :P

It was brought to my attention that I was discriminating against PT nations. Past tech nations are welcome to apply for an embassy

In an effort to improve relations with nations from around the globe. Executer Hans Brandt, with the full support of Lord Proctor Julian Harris, has issued the follow message to the nations of the world who choose to acknowledge it.

All nations seeking to begin diplomatic dialogue with the Directorate Nation of Transnapastain, or the Directorate Alliance, should complete the following form to the best of its ability.

We have a variety of lots available within the Capital District of Subrosa, capital of Transnapastain, as well as pre-constructed buildings. All lots and buildings are located along major public transit lines (rail, subway, interstate, airfield), and are just minutes form the government offices of Transnapastain.

We are always willing to enter to trade agreements, and can offer lucrative trade agreements to nations who need to important raw materials, or skilled labor. We may also be willing to enter into cultural exchange programs, but will not participate in religious exchanges. We are more than willing to dispatch missionaries to any nation requesting to be enlightened. We will not consider any alliance of military nature without in-depth talks occurring between our government and petitioning party.

Be aware that embassy staff are free to practice their own religious beliefs inside the embassy, but, outside, all other religions aside from the nation religion of Transnapastain, are against the law. Please do not attempt to spread other religious doctrine within the borders of Transnapastain.

Applicants may want to read these documents as well as this before applying. Please take this time to read over these simple rules before applying.

Rules

Be aware that Transnapastain does NOT recognize the idea of diplomatic immunity. Of course nation’s embassies are considered part of the nation they represent, but staff personal, to include ambassadors, are subject to Transnapastaini law while off embassy grounds. Further, we reserve the right to place restrictions on the size or type of container that can be labeled as “diplomatic pouches” by nations. Embassy security staff may, of course, be armed, but firearms can NOT be transported off embassy grounds unless inside a diplomatic pouch, and the pouch must remain sealed until it has been returned to embassy grounds, on been loaded onto a diplomatic aircraft, and the aircraft has left Directorate airspace or a diplomatic sea vessel, and the vessel has cleared Directorate waters, to include the Seabelt. The abuse of a diplomatic pouch to cause damage to any property or person in Transnapastain, or any Directorate allied property or citizen, will be considered an act of war. Any use of the embassy personal or equipment for the purposes of espionage will be dealt with according to Transnapastaini law.

Update: (1-16-2011): Due to the relaxation of gun laws, foreign nationals in the employee of a foreign embassy may apply for a concealed carry permit to carry concealed handguns while off of embassy grounds. Please indicate in your application if you wish to submit your employees for the application process. Handguns do not have to be registered with the Transnapastaini government. Further, we ask that firearms not be carried into government buildings.

No heavy weapons, to include recoil-less rifles, devices propelled by rocket and containing a warhead or any yield, both nuclear or non-nuclear, biological or chemical, mortars, crew-served weapons, or anything guided by satellite will be allowed to enter the nation. The government of Transnapastain has the right to declare a weapon not previously mentioned banned from the nation. No vehicle with a mounted, or turreted weapon, nor tracked vehicles will be accepted as consulate vehicle. Unarmed helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft are acceptable, and a hanger will be provided. The hanger will all be treated as part of the nation it represents.

Transnapastain reverses the right to expel embassy staff for infraction of Transnapastaini law, or because of increasing hostilities between the host nation and the nation the embassy represents. Embassy staff will be allowed 72 hours to evacuate the nation with any belongings inside the embassy. In the event of an expulsion, after the 72 deadline, the government of Transnapastain reserves the right to declare “imamate domain” on the embassy grounds and enter the compound, even if embassy staff has not evacuated. Embassy staff arrested after the 72 deadline will be returned to their nation of origin if they are not deemed to be conducting espionage or terrorist actions against the nation of Transnapastain.

By applying, you agree to these conditions.

Re: Application acceptance

Thank you for submitting your application to establish an embassy in Transnapastain. Your information has been processed and found to be in compliance with all conditions set forth by the Director of Foreign Affairs. Preparations have been made to greet your staff upon arrival, and help you settle into your new living arrangements.

After consultation with the National Education Committee, I have obtained the following information for you. Our children general enter high school at age 13 or 14, which, I believe is the age of Ambassador Askindron's youngest child. It is entirely possible that both children may be more advanced than their peers. We are willing to offer tests to best place the students in the classroom. Also,, if interested, we are willing to provide "home school" assistance from one of the major universities, or to allow additional educational staff from your nation to be brought in. They will, of course, be allowed access to needed educational materials and facilities. Also, it should be noted that religion is a mandatory course in all grade levels for all children in Transnapastain. Due to the ambassadors status as a foreign dignitary, and not a citizen, we are willing to wave those requirements for additional electives. The children are, of course, welcome and encouraged to take the classes, as, in their special case, conversion and belief in the religious materiel taught would not be required.

I hope this answers your questions. If not, please, feel free to contact us! Here's to a hope of a bright future between our two nations!

Re: Application, approved after debate.

Thank you for your interest in the Transnapastaini embassy program. We have been reviewing your application and, after consultation with the military liaison officer, have determined your Steyr StG 77 Hbar weapons do not qualify as a crew-served weapon. Though we do not see why a embassy security force would require squad level support weapons, we will allow their entry. All other information submitted has been approved.

we have set about preparing a landing space, hanger facility, and building for your use, and a member of the Office of Foreign Affairs will be honored to meet your diplomatic mission at the airport upon arrival to help acclimatize you to our wonderful nation.

If you have any questions, or require any assistance, please feel free to contact us. Here's to a bright future between our two nations.

I was meaning what age do children start primary school, and how many years are they in primary and secondary school. As most people are in Auremena, The ambassador and her family are atheist, or an atheist religion (eg. Buddhist, Conficianism, etc.), however, foreign cultures are intriguing subjects for the general populace, as we always love to learn more about those in the world around us. They may be interested.

OOC: I think I kinda screwed myself by using primary and secondary school. We used the standard system in the United States, which would be Ages 5-13/14 in Elementary (primary?) school In Kindergarten - 8th grade, and 14-18 in high school (secondary?) for 9th-12th grade. I hope that clears it up.

Now onto other stuff.I am obligated to extend the customary offer of trade and what not. Yes, no, maybe? Anyway, I'm also obligated to ask if you would be interested in opening up a Megalow Railway station? Essentially what we do is we take a really big drill, dig a really big stupid long tunnel, and build a gigantic station at the end of it. If you would like to establish this vein of travel, but have any questions, please ask. If not, we will not take any offense. Oh right and before I forget, we hold the right to detonate the tunnel at anytime with or without warning. Any questions?

Yes, in auremena, children start school at age 3, and graduate at age 17, normally. By the end of their first year, they can read in at least two of Auremena's four official languages, and can speak at least three. in the US system, we are approximately three grades ahead, even though we start only two years earlier, as you learn little in kindergarten. Dmitri, who would normally be going into in his fourteenth year, will stay in Auremena, as there is no real equivalent, and, he would like to graduate with his class. Mikhaela, who would be going in to her twelfth year, would be a bit small to pass as someone who will graduate at the end of the year, but is intelligent enough to keep on par in your country. Perhaps the homeschooling would be a better idea, as this creates complications.

OOC: I was in a public school when i was in Belgium in 1st and second grades, and i always find it an, interesting experience.

We understand your concern and are perfectly willing to assist in the education of young minds throughout the world. If the home schooling option is your choose, we will make available suitable instructors, or issue additional diplomatic visas to educational staff of your choosing. Since you mentioned that the study of foreign cultures is appreciated in your nation, we will authorize the religious subject material for both the home schooling, and for export to Dmitri, if he wishes to learn.

OOC: I'm a product of the private schooling in America. I've heard educational institutions overseas are generally more intensive than those in the Untied States, but I've done no real research on the matter. :)

As it seems that there are several unclear facts that need fixing, I shall do it myself.
First the weaponry issues. To be frank, your nation kinda irks us,..... *cough* los iluminados *cough* mostly your government, but,.... Back on subject, we take no chances with security. Especially after the last time we established an embassy in a religious nation. They no longer exist So we are going to deploy 2 of our best weapon type, Dragoon units, to ensure the safety of the staff. Thus, we have allocated 2 of our newest lances. They are basically the James Bond equivalent of lances. They are equipped with a 12,000 Volt capacitor, a built in anti-matter rifle, 3 explosive shiruken, and are sharp enough to pierce pure carbon armor.

Yes we are very paranoid people. We would build a doom fort if we could. Trust me.

As for Moache's sanity, that's not a problem. This is my job. And as such, this is my job. That should explain it. So it is also MY little red button. MINE. So mass death is not an issue unless I say other wise. Now, to clear this up before it becomes and issue, our entire nation is irked by your type of government. That was the whole reason for this embassy to get over our hostility. especially after what happened last time we tried to make friends,...... On that note, I cannot pretend to know how our staff will represent us. Inside our facillity our men make their own decisions, it is up to them how to deal with potential threats. So, pretty much anyone who comes in, even with a bad mood run the risk of being gunned down and or totally destroyed beyond recognition. I would like to know what exactly happens should a citizen of your nation is brutalized harmed in our embassy for what ever reason deemed by our guards.

In summary or goal is simple:
1. Get the Govnah to not be insane.
2. Find his little red button.
3. Establish world peace
4. Achieve world domination
5. Build embassies
6. ???
7. PROFIT!!!

Well I hope that clears up some of your questions, if anything else is unclear, don't hesitate to ask.

Signed sincerely,
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Orion Clauby,

P.S. I think there may or may not be something in the Govnah's water. Or he might just literally be clinically insane. The world may never know,....................
P.S.S Got any good mental health clinics? He has driven most of our's insane. not a good situation.
P.S.S.S Sorry about all the strike outs, ran out of White Out, need to get more.
P.S.S.S.S Any good real estate? I'm looking for a nice home in the winter. Moache burned my last one to the ground.

That sounds fine, we would like instruction from your teachers, if you don't mind.

OOC: We got there late July 2001, and by the time school started, i wan bullied a bit. My dad said not to tell anyone i was american after 9/11, but it was too late. Re: Processed application and responses

Thank you for submitting your application to establish an embassy in Transnapastain. Your information has been processed and found to be in compliance with all conditions set forth by the Director of Foreign Affairs. Although, we would like to inquire as to the nature of the “V 10.54.98 DRAGOON lance” weapons, as it does not appear in our archives. Also, while the the sanity of your leadership has been called into question, on multiple occasions, preparations have been made to greet your staff upon arrival, and help you settle into your new living arrangements.

A official with the Office of Foreign Affairs well meet you at the airport and guide your staff to your new facility. Should you have any questions, or require any assistance, please do not hesitate to ask.

We are, of course, always interested in trade, as we are constantly seeking to expand our markets.

Thank you, here’s two a bright, sane, future between our two nations

Truly,
Anna Fuchs, Assistant to the Director of Foreign Affairs

PS> Thank you, but we’re going to have to pass on your offer to construct a giant death tunnel Megalow Railway station within our nation, uh we have…common sense unstable fault lines that make tunnel construction tricky, and have no desire to have the whole thing imploded on a whim collapse on us due to your leaderships insanity structural integrity issues.

Re: Response

While, no, our of questions are not cleared up, I believe that our teams of cryptographers and soothsayers have deciphered enough to reply.

On the topic of your Dragoon units, um, we're going to allow those to be placed at the established site because we didn't think to add hypothetical weapon systems to the list of banned material. Our bad.

We are sorry that you are irked by the government style. We are sorry that our dedication to order and prosperity for our people has given your leadership bleeding ulcers and brain damage. Again, our bad.

We do assure you that the sovereign right to retain control over your embassy, should no hostilities occurring between your nation, ourselves or our allies, will not be infringed upon. While we hold our religion as the true way of life, we will not force enlightenment upon the masses within other nations.

We are, of course glad to lay any past grievances to rest, but we are unsure as to what "last time we tired to make friends" you are referring to. Our records do not indicate any previous contact with you people.

Given the, um, disposition, of your staff, we are willing to conduct most interactions via secure satellite and video communications, to ensure the safety and prolonged life of all diplomatic staff on both sides.

Thank you,
Anna Fuchs, Assistant to the Director of Foreign Affairs

PS.

Um, our mental health facilities aren't exactly equipped to deal with the level of batshit your Govnah seems to have. Though we mean that most diplomatically. We are offering half-priced lobotomies. Yeah, the strikeouts are fine, we seem to be experiences a shortage of whiteout ourselves. Also, we od have some very nice land in the south and east that makes perfect summer vacation homes, if warm climate and plains are to your liking.

OOC: Being Christian, and having been educated in Catholic schools, I can completely understand why mandatory religious instruction could drive you to renounce your faith. Many of my classmates did so after graduation.

IC: We will begin scouring the universities for a top-rate professor or team of professors to offer home school, personalized instruction. We hope to have these academic preparations complete shortly after you arrive and have settled in.

Thank you for the consideration. Also, consideration must be made of universities. In Auremena, a university focuses more on what a student wants to do as a career, and focuses only on that. many things such as calculus are taught in secondary schools. In american terms, i delieve is is termed "Graduate", rather than "Undergraduate", which is, to us, more of a continuation of Secondary school, in which most of the topics are already taught here. Dmitri has taken an interest in architecture, admiring the great works of Eero Talvatia (and his great granddaughter, Mercedes (herself, she is not an architect, but a model)), and aspiring to build something like he did. Is there a good university in Transnapastain that has a good architecture program?

OOC: It was more because he though that catholicism was always right, and my religion teacher (a pompous old man) thought that the bible could solve any problem. I had many Muslim friends (we were near the primarily Turkish neighborhood.), and he said he hated turks because they were Muslim, and that was the final blow for me.

We shall ensure that the professors gathered for this task are versed in a variety of general education studies. If necessary, career services can be provided upon request

As to your question regarding universities, yes, in fact, the University of Boreas, in the ancient city that shares its name, is out premier university for hard sciences, such as biology, chemistry, and, of course engineering and architecture. Of course, we would be happy to assist Dimitri in the application process.

While the ideals of my nation my say different, it is that sort of baseless discrimination shown by your professor that I just can not abide.

Me neither. My best friend was Turkish, and a Muslim. I hate right now that i live near Florida's farm country, because 85%+ of the 2000 students at my school are racist, indifferent, discriminatory bastards.

OOC: Irked only by mandatory education in religion and the enforcement of laws like that Night and Fog,.... atleast though the more closed minded fellows aren't bleeding out of their ears. But I forgot the "last time we tired to make friends" thing was a RL reference. See; me and by Buddhist friend took a trip to Rome,.... that didn't work to say the least. To be frank, that about sums it all up. I have no real fond memories of churches, or ministers and such. My child hoob was also laess than pleasant. And my grandmother (Talk about Batshit and then some) used the bible as justification for alot of crap. And then some. Never really had any trust. let alone much respect.

Just so you don't think I'm anti religious or anything. And feel good about yourself. Your one less person I think is a cancer cell to the human race.

OOC I will take that last part as the compliment I really think you meant it as :)

Yeah, I can see why a sane, rational person would be irked by being forced to believe your government says you have to, and why anyone who knows anything about Night and Fog would find it appalling. Also, like I said to Auremena, I can completely understand how having religion shoved down ones throat makes one resent it. I firmly believe that each person must choose, or choose not, to find God on their own terms. I also believe that, for those who do not, and merely live their Ives as good people, God will not turn them away.

My nation does not reflect my political or religious views, in fact, its not even really an extensive, or exaggeration of more moderate views. I just run it according to the story I've written for it. :)

Re: Processed application, approved

Our records indicate that our respective diplomatic departments have had contact in the past. After reviewing the transcripts, I would like to extend a special thank you for your application. Your information has been processed and is found to be in line with the guidelines set forth by the Office of Foreign Affairs. We will set aside the closest high-rise building to the airport available, and will ensure a member of the Office of Foreign Affairs greets your party at the airport, and assists you in settling in. Should you require anything further, please do not hesitate to ask.

We are more than happy to assist Harun with school application. It is very important that the children of the world receive the finest education. We should inform you that, should the ambassadors son find the Transnapastani school system not to his liking, we will be happy to provide home schooling, or to provide additional visas for an educational staff of your choosing. Religious instruction is required for all Transnapastani children and Harun is encouraged but not mandated to partake in these classes. Suitable electives can be found. Also, we are attempting to place children from foreign ambassadorial families in the same school.

Here's to a bright future between our two nations!

Truly
Anna Fuchs, Assistant to the Director of Foreign Affairs

Edit: Forgot to add the part about schooling, sorry.
