Report on August 2026 Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Kogurean Communist Party

Tongdo, August 13th (Kogure News Agency) - The August 2026 Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Kogurean Communist Party was held between August 10th and 12th, 2026.

The Political Bureau presided over the meeting.

Members and Candidates of the KCP Central Committee attended the meeting.

Leading officials of the KCP Central Committee, Ministries, state organs, provinces and directly governed cities, and major industrial establishments observed the meeting.

After the meeting was opened, participants have observed a minute of silence for the Late Comrade Namsu Jeonho.

The following agenda was submitted:

1. On the Central Institutional Reforms
2. On the Further Development of the Financial System
3. Organizational Questions

Comrade Sun Taejin, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KCP delivered a report on the agenda items.

In the report, Comrade General Secretary has pointed out, that the decisions of the 15th Congress of the Kogurean Communist Party, a historic moment in the progress course of the Kogurean Revolution and the construction of a Strong and Prosperous Nation, have laid out the key objectives of the new five-year period, namely, to conduct breakthrough transformation in the fields of industry, energy, and agriculture, as the key tasks of economic construction at the current stage. Achievement of the breakthrough transformation in the fields of industry, energy, and agriculture is the necessary step in further enhancing the economic power of our state, balanced and sustainable development of the overall national economy, raising the living standards of the people, and further cementing the historical trajectory of step-in-step realization of a complete industrial system.

Comrade General Secretary has said that until recently, the tasks of realization the energy police of our State have been conducted under the guidance system of the Ministry of Industry. The linkage of the energy sector with the interests of the industrial development has represented a correct approach for the expansion of the energy base for the national industry, and the insurance of stable supply of electricity for the social needs of the country. Nevertheless, the development of energy technology, namely energy transition in close connection with energy security, has been conducted in an inadequate matter, revealing an objective demand for the reform of the energy guidance system. Present conditions require a new approach of realizing the energy policy of our state, centralized and strict guidance, and a renewal of the personnel base to achieve a dynamic transformation of the appearance of our country’s energy industry. For this end, the reformation of the Ministry of Industry and creation of a new central state organ of energy guidance to effectively realize the state's policy of energy transition in close connection with energy security has been suggested.

Comrade General Secretary has pointed out that our state has been undergoing a major demographic transition. Urbanization and the transformation of family have unleashed new demands for the present day. In the past, Our Party and Our Government has expanded the demographic policy responsibility of the Ministry of Labour and Welfare in meeting the raising social demands. However, the further transformation of modern society has produced growing demands from society to further modernize the demographic policy of our State to meet the present and future problems affecting our population. Challenges caused by the demographic transition, including declining birthrate, aging population, and the changing nature of childcare, require a new approach for the realization of those problems. The National Conference of Family Work has collectively suggested creation of a new organ of state guidance responsible for the family and children policy. For this end, it is suggested to create such an organ

Comrade General Secretary, regarding the second item, has indicated that innovation is the major theme of economic construction at the present stage. The tasks of the financial system of the socialist market economy thus far have been closely aimed at the supply of credit to the fast growth of the industrial capacity of our state, but with the development and maturation of the domestic industrial system, the major drive is shifting from investment to innovation. The current financial system has not been fully calibrated for the new tasks of development. In particular, in accordance with the simultaneous development line of the Party, aiming at fully enabling the potential of state sector and private sector, it is an important task to systematically lower market barriers and direct finances to the development of new technologies and new innovation in the national economy. The development of new financial instruments, and the bond market of private enterprises, among other measures, represent an important step to ensure continuous and sustainable economic growth.

Debates on the report were held. Sectoral meetings were held.

The decisions on the first and second agenda items were adopted.

Organizational questions were discussed and relevant decisions were adopted.

Comrade Hojin Seili was elected to the Politburo Presidium as a member, and relieved of the duties of the Responsible Secretary of the Tongdo City Party Committee.

Comrade Sunnin Jonwan was elected to the Political Bureau as a member.

Patriotism is a Great Tradition of the Kogurean People

Patriotism is a great tradition of the Kogurean people. The history of the Kogurean state carries many records of the noble acts of heroic ancestors, who have spared not their life and body in love of the country. The popular wars of resistance of the Kamuko period have seen appearance of many heroes from the nobles and peasants, who have stood up in arms against nomadic invasion. When the time of naitonal danger has arrived during the Dokhan period, Prince Sekihan has launched a patriotic movement for national reforms to win back the country's sovereignty and refused to live when the reaction stopped, dedication his life fully to the motherland.

The Kogurean Communist Party, founded by Comrade Kun Solgin, was created as a party of patriots. Comrade Kun Solgin has at all times emphasized the patriotic intention of the Party's endeavour. The will and intention of the Kogurean Communist Party has always been to create a motherland of strength and prosperity, and has made countless efforts to inherit the noble patriotic traditions created in centuries of struggle. The struggle of the Kogurean people led by the Great Leader and the Revolutinary Party under the red flag imbued with patriotism have won a major victories of creating the industrial foundation, progressive culture, and capable defence forces.

Since the 13th Congress of the Kogurean Communist Party held in 2016, the entire country has moved forward by raising high the banner of people-first principle under the guidance of the Party Central Committee headed by Comrade Sun Taejin. Ours is the era of great struggle and great development to successfully build up a Strong and Prosperous Nation on this land, create great naitonal strength, achieve historic transformations in the appearance of our country, raise the living standards of the people to new heights, and blister the beautiful presence of the motherland in the region and the world. Patriotism is a great ideology, which unites all people into one big family, that supports each other for the new victories of our time.

The scholars of old have always said that a country united in virtue and love is a country of great might. Love of the motherland is a common spiritual heart of the hundred thousands of people of all social standing, that love each other as compatriots of one speech, one land, one life, and one mind. Patriotism is a strong pillar of peace and concord in the country, the "secret key" of prosperity and development in the spirit of self-reliance, the knowledge of a country that has developed with high rate of growth and transcended the problem of food, clothing, and housing, towards a secure lifestyle and progressing civilization. When the whole country is imbued with love for the country, the country is filled with peace and prosperity, and the inheritance of patriotic tradition is the requirement of continuously upholding the achievements of past generations.

Today, the youth of our country have entered a new stage of patriotic education. Patriotic education enables youth and students to open their heart with warm love not only for their country, but their family, friends, unit, hometown, and native county. A human being imbued with love for his or her motherland learns to care for his or her surroundings as his or her own, and opens a wide road to new achievements of developing the body and mind for others. The 15th Congress of the Kogurean Communist Party has laid forth an important instruction to further strengthen patriotic education to further ensure that our motherland continues to be the motherland of socialism for many generations to come.

Today, the appearance of our schools has changed. When Comrade Kun Solgin has visited a rural school in the days of the Seven-year plan, he observed wooden tables and pencils, and laid forth an eternal wisdom that the Party maintains a relationship of blood with the Youth as the mother of all the youth in the country, and must support them as her own children, so the children will learn to love the Party as their great mother and stern teacher. Today, our schools have computers, modern projectors, digital networks, concert halls, musical instruments, and many other items, but the great word of always taking care of the youth has always laid deep in the hearts of all the party members. We must forever remember that when the motherland takes care of the youth not in words but in deeds, only then the youth will learn to learn the motherland. Some officials mistakenly believe that mere words or formalistic movements can instill patriotism, but they are wrong, because patriotism.can only be born from one's acts and deeds, and not empty words.

Comrade Sun Taejin has stressed in his speech to educators throughout the country, that the inheritance of patriotic heart from one generation to another generation is of high importance to our Party. Patriotism has united our people not only in the days of happiness, but in the days of adversity. Meeting of the Political Bureau of C.C., Kogurean Communist Party Held

Tongdo, September 27th (Kogure News Agency) - The Political Bureau of Central Committee of the Kogurean Communist Party held a meeting on September 27th. Comrade Sun Taejin, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Kogurean Communist Party presided over the meeting.
