Nirou-ki, as well as most Niuri languages use the Modern Kaitjha-Niuri 'alphabet'. This alphabet was decended from the Kaitan language but used to describe Shardian words. When Neo-shardian society adopted a mix of Iro-tan (The original language of the dominant native tribe of Nirou)and the New Shardian language, they used the alphabet that was only occasionally used by their old Shardian predessesors. This was because it could best describe all the sounds in both languages. They called the language they used Nirokh, which eventually evolved into Nirou-ki. However this alphabet has its limitations, and certain Niuri languages, such as Native Senica, and the language it is derived from, Nacre, or more accurately 'NachxreHa', which altered from Kaitan very far back, or languages that were not based on Kaitan at all such as Pelani dialects, must rely on there own alphabets, or a heavily modified version of the MKN alphabet. Finally, languages such as Balt-Pelan must rely on alphebetic mixtures, as they have traits from both Pelani and Niuri languages.

We mainly use the Modern English Alphabet (for English and French), but Shwaa has 2 sets of alphabets. One is more primitive, which really can't even be considered an alphabet but is more of a cuneiform-esque way of communicating in a written sense, and the other is a set of symbols that can roughly correspond to the Modern English Alphabet. Shwaa is spoken the same way regardless of cuneiform or alphabet.

We use the traditional Latin Alphabet as it was in the early 1800s, with some additions to suit the TurtleShroom culture. The bottom three are taught as additions, not the core alphabet of twenty seven letters.

Kiravic Coscivian is normally written in the Iatic Script, which is made up of both phonograms (letters), and logograms.

However, both the Imperial Academy for Standard Kiravic Coscivian (Rectârcix Academia Oscändix Kiravicosciliŋal ) and the Nóhaëric Transliteration Society (Colinat Transgliphtorel Nóhaëriliŋal) have developed Latin alphabets for situations when Kiravic must be made more understandable for Westerners.

The reason that the Transliteration Alphabet makes use of so many phonograms, and gives inconsistant functions to diacritical marks (For example, a grave mark over an 'a' (á) produces the English count and brown, but produces the English lay and Spanish sangre when placed over an 'e' (é), and acts as a stress indicator over an 'o' or 'u') is that it was not intended for use in original composition, but rather to make Kiravic texts more accessible to foriegn learners. As such, letters from European Latin alphabets that Westerners would be familiar with were used to represent the same sound in Kiravic as they did in their language of origin.
