Heldervinian Route 9 North Closed for Road Repairs

The National Department of Mass Human Transit has issued a statement this morning concerning Angelika Avenue. For the next few days, Heldervinian Route 9 North will be closed for road repairs.

"Route 9 North is under critical condition. It is almost a necessity to repave the highway for public safety," says Eugene Falk, the head of the department. Most likely, according to Lord Chaburteen XIV, a recent crash on Angelika Avenue prompted the repairs.

The highway is expected to be closed until March 23rd, according to officials. "Rest assured, there are alternative highways to Angelika Avenue," continues Falk. "Route 5 North runs primarily parallel to Route 9. From there you can take the exit onto Route 12 West, which has an interchange with the open portion of Route 9."

Assasination Attempt on Lord Chaburteen XIV

This morning, at 9:00 AM, Lord Chaburteen XIV went out to a local plaza, as per routine. However, the monarch did not return to Der Palast des Herrn at 10:00 like usual. When the Tuujarnia Province Police Force went to check out the scene, they found the monarch sprawled on the ground, a gun wound in his abdominal area.

"This is concerning for both the province of Tuujarnia and the Superior Monarchy of Heldervin as a whole," states Lanzo Stromann VIII, the national Military Advisor and head of the National Department of the Armed Forces. The city of Vrebsicourg has been placed on Code #1.

The wounded lord was rushed to Sigmund Hospital, where medical professionals are having difficulty diagnosing the injury. Dr. Margaretta Schwanhild has expressed concern for the condition of His Majesty. "It appears that an undocumented infection is spreading from the point of entry. This may spell the end of Chaburteen's life."

The situation is continuing to get worse for the monarch. Sigmund Hospital released a statement this morning:

"Lord Chaburteen is to remain in emergency care until he is presumed well. We will fight to make sure he lives."

Lord Chaburteen had to have an emergency surgery to remove an unexpected tumor in his left shoulder. Dr. Margaretta Schwanhild has expressed high amounts of concern, saying, "This is awful. It appears that the infection is localizing where the tumor came from. The fact that someone did this to him is outrageous."

The monarch remains unconscious. Meanwhile, the heir apparent, Crown Princess Marlene V, is serving as Lady Regent while her father is unable to serve. Also, the city of Vrebsicourg is shutdown - none may leave the confines of their homes - until further notice.

By some absurd odd, Lord Chaburteen has recovered from the injury and subsequent illness. This is a relief to many as their leader returns to normal life.

Despite this, the monarch is to remain under close watch by the hospital until further notice, to ensure that no relapses occur. The city of Vrebsicourg is also no longer on lockdown.

Maiden Voyage of the NCS Merriweather

This morning, the NCS (National Cruise Service) announced that the NCS Merriweather would be departing for its maiden voyage at 7:00. Approximately five thousand people watched, and an additional 5,000 were aboard; 2,844 passengers and 2,156 crew members.

The ship will be sailing from Vrebsicourg, the capital, to Bordendofinia and back. "I'm feeling confident about the Merriweather. This will be the first voyage from mainland Heldervin to Bordendofinia. Hopefully, this will help bridge the cultural gap between the province and the rest of the nation," says Captain Burke Voigt.

Notable passengers include Crown Princess Marlene V, His Most Honourable Hans Sommer-Esser IV and XIX, and Pierres Gagneux. The ship features an indoor swimming pool for its passengers. The NCS Merriweather is expected to return by 15 March, 5:00 PM, according to Captain Voigt.

Tensions Rising Between Heldervin and the CSL

Tensions are rising between Heldervin and CSL as CSL members discuss condemning the Superior Monarchy for participating in the slave trade business.

"Why, those CSL buffoons ought to stay out of Heldervinian legislation!" Lord Chaburteen XIV fumed this morning.

The Heldervinian armed forces are mobilizing for a serious conflict that may forever be remembered in history. "This is a terrible time," says Lanzo Stromann VIII somberly, "but Heldervin will fight to preserve its core values."

As the war between Heldervin and the rebels continues to escalate, many citizens are advised to seek shelter. Meanwhile, the military is mobilizing for the event of a massive world war that could potentially shatter the world as we know it.

"This is not good. And all because of those CSL bigots! If not for them inspiring those rebels, we would be fine," Lanzo stated yesterday morning. According to the second highest military member, the Superior Monarchy is hoping to turn this into an aerial conflict.

Synthesization of TCTO

Today is a day that signifies a major scientific advancement for Heldervin. Scientist Annelie Teufal has managed to perfectly synthesize a new chemical: tetranitric sulfuric bicarbonate trioxide acid. This discovery is one that will certainly benefit the agricultural sector, as TCTO is a chemical that acts as a fertilizer of sorts.

The following document was released by Reiner Lab, the lab where the chemical in question was synthesized:

Bus Explosion on Aerial Avenue

This morning, a bus that was driving down Aerial Avenue unexpectedly exploded. The route in question was Route 12, Ansium Global Airport, Inbound. The driver was killed, as well as 17 passengers. Additionally, 16 were severely injured and another 3 were lightly injured. Five cars were flipped over.

The company that made the bus model (Shuttle-32), Public Motors, issued a recall of all buses of the same model to inspect and ensure that there weren't any faults in the model, and the Department of Investigation is currently investigating the situation.

Gabriella Reinhilde has Died

Today, at 6:21 AM, Gabriella Reinhilde, a former Minister of Foreign Relations, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 94. Her death was a shock to many, as her personal clinic said that she "was getting better," and improving in condition.

At 8:43, the National Flag at the headquarters of the National Department of Foreign Relations was lowered in respect for the now late Minister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her 26 descendants are currently mourning her death privately at her former residence.

Reinhilde began her political career at the tender age of 22, as an ambassador to Partin. She stayed in that position for nine years, until she ran for Minister of Foreign Relations. She lost the election, and then became a provincial representative. During her tenure, she pushed for higher political and civil rights in Heldervin.

At 56, she ran for office again, and won with a landslide victory. Like during her time as a provincial representative, Reinhilde continued to push for more rights for the people, both civil and political. She also staged a peaceful protest in which the Vrebsicourgi people camped outside the Capital Building, rendering other politicians unable to exit. The protest managed to gain widespread support, and it won. When she became 66 and lost the reelection, she retired. From there, she began spending more time with her children and grandchildren.

Bus Explosion on Aerial Avenue

Today, several investigators are swarming the crash scene. After ambulances transported patients, another 6 deaths were confirmed, bringing the death toll to 23 passengers. It was found that a sixth car was sent flying off the highway and landed in a nearby lake, and after searches, all four occupants have drowned.

Local police have found remnants of explosives, which is leading them to the possibility of terrorism. The city that suffered this, Ansium, has been placed on lockdown, and the highway has been closed. A similar event on the same highway happened only 3 years ago.

After extensive investigation, local police have determined that a terrorist attack occured. The accused terrorist organization is the Anti-Heldervin Alliance, which has recently gone on a terrorism spree. Authorities are currently attempting to track down said terrorist group, to no avail.

"This is a bad time. The AHA is an evil organization, one that must be exterminated," says local police chief Reynold Ludwig.

Gabriella Reinhilde has Died; Part II

According to the personal doctor of the now-deceased Gabriella Reinhilde, it was found that the former minister had been a healthy carrier of Salmonella constringere, a disease that causes constrictions and bloating in the abdominal area. The doctor said the following:

"While it is true that she said that she was feeling stomach pain, over-the-counter pain medicines have always been fine. I am sincerely sorry for my oversight, and will not slip up again. I give my best condolences to the Reinhildes."

Government Cracks Down on Citizen Rights

This morning, at 9:13 AM, the government of Heldervin announced that they would be shutting down all commercial harbours and airports, and would cease all immigration and emigration. Construction has begun on a wall towards the east to better separate the East and West, and funding has been poured into a GeheimPolizeir; Secret Police. Already, hundreds of people have been executed for having differing thoughts from the government, whilst the Secret Police continue to hunt down dissidents.

Hundreds of thousands of denizens were bribed to work for the GeheimPolizeir, and the methods used by the Secret Police include psychological damage, physical torture, and starvation to extract information. The minor protests against this were met with martial force, resulting in three-hundred deaths in the past two hours.

Meanwhile, the government has officially styled itself the Oppressive Monarchy, and has made the decision to become an absolute monarchy. This decision was met with shock by Heldervinians, as they had grown to be used to a constitutional monarchy. All maps have been ordered to be recalled to be redrawn without foreign nations, and the curriculum was changed so that students did not learn of foreign nations. The nation made the following statement:

We wouldn't have to do this if not for the CSL. But now, we must clamp down on dissent against the government. The CSL did this. They are nothing but democratic crusaders who refuse to acknowledge foreign ideologies.

Acts of Cuisine Seizure Passed

Today, in a shocking move, the nation has passed a law, namely the Acts of Cuisine Seizure, which gave the state the legal right to seize any and all assets of restaurants known to serve any cuisine that is not of Heldervinian origin. Later this afternoon, the government released the following:

The idea of this passage is to try and ensure the culture of Heldervin and stop the influence from foreigners from corrupting our great culture, starting with the everyday thing that everyone needs: meals.

Restaurant chains that refused to comply were dealt with by the GeheimPolizeir, who executed the authorities of the chains to stop the chain of command. The importation of foreign dishes has been strictly prohibited as the nation was reopened to commercial flights and sails.
