Introduction
The introduction of your noble person is often just one or two paragraphs providing a more detailed overview than the sidebar. Make sure to include their title, important family connections (such as relations with the ruler of your nation), and their lifespan. Don't put too much here; the important data is for later sections.
Contents
Here you can put a table of contents. The process for making it is simple, as long as you follow the below template:
- Code: Select all
[floatleft][box]Contents
1. Early Life
2. Marriage
3. Inheritance of Ancestor's Properties
4. Personal Interests
5. Death
[/box][/floatleft]
After you paste the above text, publish your factbook and view it. In the URL there should be a number; copy it and paste it where FACTBOOK NUMBER is. After that, add anchors to your sections so that you can jump between areas, like so:
- Code: Select all
[anchor=Early]Early Life[/anchor]
Early Life
This section, as the title suggests, will be where your noble person's early life is detailed. Some useful things to include are: birth date and place, parents, and where they spent their childhood. The second paragraph details where they spent their childhood, their early education, and some of their childhood hobbies. You can also make their hobbies a third paragraph.
- Code: Select all
[anchor=Early]Early Life[/anchor]
DESCRIBE EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Marriage
This may be a short section. Essentially, it details how they came to meet their spouse, any issue (children) they have together, and how their relationship changed over time. Also include any titles that were exchanged between the two, as well as the wedding date and place.
- Code: Select all
[anchor=Marriage]Marriage[/anchor]
DESCRIBE MARRIAGE
INHERITANCE
Here is where you likely will put the majority of the person's information. Detail any facts about any estates and vehicles they may have inherited at the death of their predecessor. If they inherit any titles from their spouse, it might be good to include facts here too. You can also add pictures of properties they inherit (I use Craiyon to generate images, but you can use whatever suits you). If they inherit any slaves, maybe put that there, but don't detail every slave. Then this section would be ridiculously long. Also, it might be a good idea to detail how they managed their new properties. Did they do good? Bad?
- Code: Select all
[anchor=Inheritance]Inheritance of Ancestor's Properties[/anchor]
DESCRIBE INHERITANCE
Personal Interests
Undoubtedly, your person will find something interesting. The personal interests section is a good place to detail what they enjoy, and maybe to what degree they enjoy it, eg. "Herrika is an avid poet." Really, this section you can essentially go all out, so long as you don't take up half the page wit this part; then there's a problem.
- Code: Select all
[anchor=Personal]Personal Interests[/anchor]
DESCRIBE INTERESTS
WIDOWHOOD/DEATH
These final two sections are purely optional. If you don't want to detail their death and/or widowhood, don't.
Anyway, here is where you would detail the person's widowhood. Include data about how they responded, and if their titles changed.
- Code: Select all
[anchor=Widowhood]Widowhood[/anchor]
DETAIL WIDOWHOOD HERE
Typically, death would be its own section. Detail how, when, and where they died, as well as anything that had been leading up to their death. Also include facts about their funeral.
- Code: Select all
[anchor=Death]Death[/anchor]
DETAIL DEATH HERE
And now we are done! Hopefully, you will find this guide useful when making factbooks about people from the noble class.
