Sophisticism has, for a long time, been considered a democracy by the World Assembly.
Sophisticism is a Benevolent Dictatorship, we don't claim to be a democracy and therefore the "Apparently".
Sophisticism will consider changing its title in the near future.
Thank you.

“Hrarroom!”
( = “Greetings!”)
The High Council of Clans of The Confederated Clans of the Free Bears of Bears Armed, having considered recent reports from our mission at the World Assembly about the extent to which our policies towards & within that organisation appear to coincide, has decided that it establishing diplomatic relations between our countries on a more formalised basis would be a good thing and have instructed me to handle the matter from our end. I write to you, therefore, with a completed copy of your department’s standard ‘Embassy Application Form’ enclosed with this letter.
Gwinth'hra ar Penndurr,
Chairbear, Committee for The Strangers
for
The High Council of Clans,
The Confederated Clans of the Free Bears of Bears Armed.National Information
Full name of Nation: The Confederated Clans of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
Demonym: Ursine
Region: International democratic Union
National capitol: Council Groves
Type of government: Confederation of Clans (& some other 'Confederated Bodys'), with the national & clannal governments basically democratic in nature.
WA category: (currently ‘Anarchy’)
Head of state: Chairbear of the High Council of Clans,
currently Beorra o Berrum
Head of government: Chairbear of the Committee for Little Bear,
currently Beorra o Berrum
Head of foreign affairs: Chairbear of the ‘Committee for The Strangers’,
currently Gwinth'hra ar Penndurr
National language(s): Ursine, English
State religion (if any): ‘One Plus Seven’ (shabear-led worship of The Great Bear & the Seven Holy Helpers)... but a number of other faiths are widely followed too, with full toleration except in the case of ‘Chaos-tainted’ creeds & a few other sects that have “unacceptable” practices (such as the sacrifice of sapient beings).
Ambassadorial Information
Ambassador's name: Ahrfrehda o Gerh’wiss, Clan Errhabarra
Ambassador's family (if applicable): (single, no cubs)
Biography of ambassador: Ahrfrehda comes from a prominent family amongst the landed gentry of her Clan; she attended Kings’ University, graduating ‘with Honours’ in Geography; after spending several years helping to manage her family’s estates she entered the Confederation’s service as an ‘Apprentice Voice’ (i.e. ‘trainee diplomat’), serving firstly in the inter-Clan arbitration section and then in the mission that successfully brought the ‘Upriver Clans’ into the nation; promoted to ‘Secretary’ grade (i.e. “full” diplomat), she was assigned [sequentially] to our embassies in firstly Roumberre and then Jagera, in the latter of which she distinguished herself sufficiently to be placed on the list for promotion to Ambassador.
Embassy Information
Diplomatic staff: Chargé d’Affaires (second-in-command), 4 ‘Secretaries’, Commercial Attaché, Cultural Attaché (doubles as Embassy Chaplain), Legal Attaché; Consul, Vice-Consul [i](Consulate to be included within Embassy premises).
Support staff: 20 assorted secretaries, ‘confidential clerks’, & communications staff; Steward, Chief Cook, Butler, Ambassador’s Driver.
Security staff: 4 armed members of the ambassador’s own household; and 16 personnel from one of our traditional, cross-Clan 'warrior societies', probably the 'Bad-News Bears'.
Security weaponry: Shotguns (capable of firing ‘non-lethal’ rounds as well as standard ones), singlesticks for the ambassador’s own armsbears and various 'cultural' melee weapons (probably either knives or 'fighting chains', in most cases) for the other guards.
Embassy vehicles: 4 cars for 'diplomatic purposes, plus a minibus & a van for the mission's general transportation needs, all of which will be acquired locally if suitably-sized models are available; 16 customised motorbikes for use by security personnel, which will be brought in from home.
Will you be hiring locally: Yes _ kitchen & waiting staff, janitorial staff, grounds/gardening staff (if the site does have grounds/gardens), probably some drivers, possibly interpreters (What languages do your government and people predominantly use, anyway?), and maybe some [‘junior’] clerical staff as well depending on how busy this Mission turns out to become.
Special requirements: We would prefer a site that already has gardens, or that has vegetation from which we could create gardens, with hedges for privacy… and if you can supply a site that has either a good-sized pond in the grounds or a swimming pool then this would be nice. Also, of course, any pre-existing buildings on the site would have to be spacious enough — and have ceilings high enough — for Ursines as well as for Humans.
Miscellaneous Information
Would you like us to establish an embassy in your nation? Yes
(OOC: but I still need to get the Bears’ own ‘Diplomatic Exchanges’ up & running again; expect to see it fairly soon…)
Would you like to establish a trade agreement or treaty with us? We could talk about trade and see whether any possibilities exist…
Is there any additional information that we should know? Some of our diplomats and other staff, as well as the security staff, might want to carry ‘cultural’ [melee] weapons (primarily singlesticks) at least sometimes. Otherwise there’s nothing that I can think of, offpaw, unless your government — as distinct from your WA mission — still needs to be told that our population consists primarily of sapient & anthropomorphic Bears rather than Humans…
