Our official language is Vescian (although more people come from English-speaking regions, 94% of the population is fluent in both Vescian and English.) For people on Earth, you may notice the resemblance to one of your many languages, Italian.

Here are some equivalents from English to Vescian.


Hello = Wecco

Goodbye = Riddo

You = Ilu

Me = Parne

Meal = Creaspi


Even contemporary words have Vescian equivalents!


Wicked = Michio

LOL = HAH (for you looking at this, Laughing = Hilar, Out = Authi, and Loud = Hiye)

Cool = Cooliche

Hey. This is a semi-serious nation (despite the flag), which operates on the ideals of libertarian municipalism and Communalism. I don't RP though (at least not currently), and you'll probably only see me on Forum 7 or General.

There is a Portuguese/Italian mix language dialect that is called Soutanese but it is not recognized officially

Only French is an official language. German, Italian, and Gallian are recognized regional languages.

Russian and English are official. Sepuo is a native dialect that is a complicated mix of Portuguese and Russian. It is not oficially recognized.

My country speaks two versions of Chemaki, upper Chemak and lower Chemak. Upper Chemaki is a very formal language, whereas Lower Chemaki is contemporary and is slang-based. Here are a few words from both languages.

Hello (Upper Chemak): Yahael (Yah-Hay-el)
Hi (Lower Chemak): Yae (Yay)

Goodbye (Upper Chemak): Lahael (Lah-Hay-el)
Bye (Lower Chemak): Lah (La-h)

You (Upper/Lower Chemak): Jihgh (Ji-hug)

Myself (Upper Chemak): Ugic (Ooh-Gik)
Me (Lower Chemak): Unika (You-Ni-Ka)

Yuck: Bao (B-ao)

Unitopolitan and English are both compulsory in schools and spoken by 98% of the population. German, irish and Uzbek are also recognised as official languages.

All languages are official in Vestbredden, anything else would be language intolerance. When you send a letter to the government, a liguist identifies the language, it is translated into whatever language the person responsible for answering uses, the answer is written and then translated back into the language of the person that sent the letter.

When calling the government, the same thing happens, except it is a three way conference call with a translator.

People in my land speak several languages prevalent in the Mediterranean as well as English. Government documents are in English as a matter of policy, but there is no official language.

English is most widely used with french in a close second, but Shwaa is maintained by the populace. (Used for private conversations in front of foreigners, mostly. :P )
