New English Embassy Program
Begin an embassy in New England and engage in meaningful dialogue!
BOSTON - In a series of sweeping administrative reforms, Ministress Elizabeth Senisbury of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has standardized and formalized the process for opening an embassy in New England.
In what proponents call an ambitious and bold move, the Ministress has instructed the creation of the Bureau of Embassies, Consulates, and Reachout in order to facilitate smoother and easier embassy exchanges.
The BECR will replace the archaic, outdated, and elitist previous system for opening embassies which made it difficult for new or small nations to create an embassy, and required nations to reach out first.
"Our growing world demands that New England adapts," the Ministress said in a statement. "The new system will allow small or new nations to engage in meaningful dialogue with New England."
The new BECR system has a formal application process in which nations can elect to apply for an embassy in Boston or a consulate in several other cities across the nation.
"I truly hope with the BECR, New England can usher in a new era of international communication for ourselves and our allies. When my vision comes true, New England will be more open than ever, and more able to respond to threats and incidents with calm, rational discussion."
The Ministress has also announced nations will be free to open consulates in Hartford, Yale, Harvard, Worcester, Providence, Federicton, or Plymouth if they wish to represent their culture and tourism, be able to meet with local governments or the people, or wish for a backup to their embassy.
