Simbaldt Singelert and Aquilas Duradas, two weeks before Singelert's launch

PIUUI, PIDDADDADDA - Astronaut Aquilas Duradas has been launched into space. His ship, the Hawk 18, is set to rendezvous and dock with the Hawk 17, commanded by astronaut Simbaldt Singelert. The two will spend three hours accomplishing various scientific experiments together as Singelert's time in space winds down to a close. Duradas was accompanied on this mission by Proximus, a Dalmatian dog, and Aldmiralte the hamster, who is pregnant. She was brought onboard for the two astronauts to observe, record, and analyze birthgiving in zero-gravity.

Terror in Muirias

Following threats from a radical extremist group calling themselves "Group 9" security has been tightened around the Holy Site of The Cloch Síoraíocht (Eternity Stone). Group 9, an anti-religious fringe group have made repeated demands for the High Council to renounce religion and embrace modern scientific ideals. Since their inception several years ago Group 9 have been actively recruiting young, dissilusioned Dairi students as well as lobbying religous and political organisations. Last night saw a rapid escalation in violence as members of Group 9 stormed the site of the Cloch Síoraíocht, attacking and severly wounding 34 year old guard Morris Connelly. After overpowering him at the gate they stabbed him twice in the stomache before leaving him to die. It is believed they were going to graffiti the stone with anti-religous slogans, however Mr. Connelly managed to draw his 9mm pistol and kill one of the men, forcing the rest to flee. Mr. Connelly is under investigation by the Fir Gardaí for murder and is currently under police guard in Muirias District Hospital. Speaking from his office in Oakwood, High Lord O'Donaigh condemned the action and reminded Group 9 that well over 98% of the population are religous and when that figure changed, so would his policies. He also warned Group 9 that they had been blacklisted as a banned organisation and were under investigation by the Gníomhaireacht Scath Intelligence Agency. As of midnight tonight Group 9 will be classed as a terrorist organisation and membership will carry a minimum 6 month jail sentence.
So far there has been no statement from the Cult of Nádúr in response to the attempted desecration of their holy site.

"FIFA-Gate" Conspiracy Theorists Rant Over FIFA Theme Song Selection

Conspiracy theorists profess that the choice of Wavin' Flag is an imperialist tribute.

This week conspiracy theorists bearing messages such as "End the Fruits of FIFA's War!" gathered in Olivia outside the offices of FIFA in protest of their selection of the theme song for this year's soccer series. They selected the song Wavin' Flag by the artist K'naan as the theme song for the 2010 World Cup, which also happens to be Wikipedia and Universe's national anthem. The protesters are part of a circle of conspiracy theorists who claim that the recent conflict in Southern United Africa (formerly and perhaps soon to be again South Africa) was orchestrated by FIFA behind the scenes. The conspiracy theorists claim that when the AWB and other hate groups staged a coup in South Africa in July 2009, FIFA allegedly approached the Mutual Defense and Intelligence-Sharing Coalition (MDISC) and pressured them to invade the newly established Neo-Apartheid Confederacy. They claim that the 9/11-style terrorist attack conducted in Castin, Epicnopolis by SUA pilots was an accident and they lost control of the plane, and that prompted FIFA to pressure MDISC to invade. They say FIFA's motivation is that they were unwilling to hold the World Cup if Apartheid had been restored, and that they conspired to have MDISC liberate the country and "kill lots of Boers" so that FIFA would not have to find a new host nation. In reality, FIFA was indeed looking for new host states due to the instability in the region, but only switched back once a stable government had been reestablished after the war. During police searches of violent activist's homes following a small terrorist attack on FIFA offices, it was inadvertently uncovered that the activists planned to protest and conduct attacks until FIFA looked for new host nations. If MDISC forces withdrew shortly after, they planned to file a case against FIFA in an international court for misuse of military resources and force President Jimmy Wales to testify that he was bribed by FIFA. After the war, media such as copies of detailed instructions given to the pilots to conduct the Castin attack found at New Johannesburg Airport were released to the public, and the conspiracy theorist movement lost many members, leaving few hardcore followers, most of whom were seen protesting this week. Their latest claim is that the Wikipedian national anthem and the World Cup theme song being the same song was no coincidence, and that it was a forced tribute to Wikipedia and Universe. However, the song was selected by Coca-Cola and had no political significance other than coincidence, and was picked for its uplifting tone. In addition, the version of the song used for the World Cup is drastically different from the original both in beat and lyrics with the exception of the chorus. It is the original that is the Wikipedian national anthem. First lady Erika Preiss stated that "It's ironic that a song about freedom, determination, and overcoming would be labeled as an 'imperialist tribute' by conspiracy theorists. It seems they will make any claim to give credibility to their cause."

The Southern Yugoslavian Republican Guard was deployed today to deal with rebel forces located in the province of North Karolina. The rebel forces attacked key government buildings in the capital two days ago, and still no group has come foward to take claim. In the attacks, an estimated ten were killed, four of which were rebel attackers.

The Southern Yugoslavian Republican Guard is supposed to stay in North Karolina for at least three weeks, a top military official reports. The Republican Guard's mission is to remove all rebel forces from North Karolina and distribute clean food and water to cities beseiged by rebel forces. It is believed that the rebel forces are poisoning food and water sources.

Finally after two days of voting in the Red Council, the Tsar and other members were seen leaving the Chemka (the Capital biulding in Cheknograd). The law which will grant people a little more freedom, and cut back on the military which takes 5.2% of the population. "This is a new break through for Chyeknovostan as we try and get our government back on track" said Council member Terkon Beroslav.
Just yesterday Chyeknovostan passed another law that ordered everything be printed in Chyeknovik(Sovichyek) and English. This in hope will boost nations near by to learn some of the language so it's easier when visitor's come, It was also passed to help people who are of Chyek decent and do not live in the country.

Raduska Yesterday in the city of Raduska the people got a slight surprise. Civilian Gortu Leshev stated today while being interveiwed that he woke up to a what he though was a tremor. But when he got up to see what it was the sky was full of smoke. Around 7:23AM a bomb went off in Raduska shaking the city to it's core. It was planted in a car near the courthouse when it detonated, so far 11 have been killed and 21 injured. The Governor of the Tarska district stated that" We suspect this attack was from the Lashik". The Lashik is another group who has been fighting with the Chyek government since the area was tooken over in 2003. Since then 4 bombs have succesfully detonated and 7 were disarmed. The damage is estimated at $48,000.

Former Prime Minister Urb Karaksel's Mental Health Deteriorating

In an interview, Urb Karaksel showed serious signs of declining mental health, citing a "Transformer Apocalypse" as a serious future threat to the nation.

In an interview with Insider Deconstruction, Urb Karaksel, the former Prime Minister of the Dog Hold, has shown signs of his deteriorating mental health. The Republican Guard has engaged a large rebel force in the streets of the North Karolina capital, Raleigh.

Southern Yugoslavian Republican Guard troops have engaged a large rebel force of about 2,500 in the capital of North Karolina. The firefight broke out at about 11 PM local time, and has continued into the early morning. A force of about 500 Republican Guard troops engaged the rebel forces at the center of town in front of the city hall. Republican Guard troops first arrived on the scene when reports of rifle fire was coming from in front of city hall. Local police forces engaged the rebels until the Republican Guard arrived.

Reports of fires have come from all over the city as rebel forces detonate car bombs and set fire to housing. It is believed that rebel forces are attacking citizens as well as the Republican Guard troops. An estimated one hundred rebels are dead, and at least thirty are wounded. A confirmed five Republican Guard troops have been killed, and ten are confirmed wounded. All citizens in the city are advised to stay indoors and lock all doors and windows.

Mayor of Sixty Years Still Rules, According To Supreme Court

TELLABEK, PIDDADDADDA - In a surprise move yesterday, the Abanhfleft Supreme Court has declared that Alberts Courtesy is still the mayor of the town of Tellabek, and has been for about sixty years. Mayor Courtesy began his first term in 1950, when he was eighteen years old, and is now coming to the end of his fifteenth term. When he was asked for his reaction when he found out that the Supreme Court had ruled in his favor, he said, "I was pleased to learn that I was still mayor of Tellabek. I was with it all the time, through good times and bad, and I will see it through to the future." He is expected to run for a sixteenth term later this year.

The Supreme Court also found him not guilty of bribery.
