Official Statement Regarding Kongsinese Aggression

It may have already been made clear that the People's Republic of Kongsi has blatantly spitted on the long-standing agreements between Nacrad and Kongsi, in particular, the 1933 Peace Accords, the 1950 Non-Aggression Pact and the 1977 Hostility Cessation Treaty, by the raids of 21 May onwards, and the shelling of Instow City.

The Federal Republic of Nacrad, and its people, are peaceful, and we desire not one inch of foreign land, nor one drop of foreign blood. Alas, our peaceful ways are rudely disrupted, thanks to the Kongsinese forces' attacks. Nacrad has never actively entered war with any nation for the sake of expansion or the sake of forcing our ideology on others, unlike certain nations, who like to invade their neighbours in the name of "liberation" or "spreading the revolution", which we denounce.

It was also brought to our attention that the Pan-Asiatic States, which lie to the southwest of our fair nation, had voiced support for the violent expansionism of Kongsi, citing that these attacks were but "pre-emptive strikes" as we are allegedly "preparing for war" by the construction of the Instow North Camp, which is what we assume is implied by "seeing their troops closing in on us just across it". However, the construction of Instow North Camp is not for this purpose. Instead, it is to consolidate the two garrisons of Instow City, which formerly reside in Instow East and Instow West Camps.

Regardless, we advise members of the public to refrain from visiting the border with Kongsi, as active warfare may be inevitable. The Nacradian National Airways has increased its capacity in routes to Guthan, lying offshore in the island of Guthil. Concerned members of the public may take these routes to take refuge in Guthil, but the Federal Republic shall reiterate that most population centers along the coast is sufficient in safety.

As for the Pan Asiatic States' convoy, the ports at Portsville have been prepared to accommodate the convoys, and we urge Pan Asiatic States to only send demilitarised and disarmed passenger vessels into Nacradian waters, as the Nacradian Navy will provide protection during their journey in Nacradian waters.

Despite the disagreements between the fair nations of the Pan Asiatic States and Nacrad, Nacrad shall still afford any necessary help to assist the nationals of any nation to retreat to safety.

Nacrad and Kongsi Declare War on Each Other, Nacrad Advances No Less Than 50 km in the North

WAR! The Nacradian National Assembly had passed a resolution to declare war on the People's Republic of Kongsi at 10:30 this morning. The III Corps and IV Corps are currently marching onto Kongsinese soil.

The Nacradian Armed Forces had so far made much progress on northern Kongsi, as the IV Corps have valiantly captured the cities of Yingtan and Shangrao, shattering Kongsinese plans to contain Nacrad, as the ill-prepared and ill-equipped Kongsinese army struggle to put up any appreciable resistance towards Nacrad in the north. Nacrad had advanced her borders by no less than 50 km in this sector.

In the south, the III and IV Corps are also valiantly pushing on the Kongsi Revolutionary Army, who were able to at least mildly slow down Nacradian progress. However, even so, Nacrad has advanced no less than 5 km, and is predicted to advance even further over the course of the week.

Nacrad Engages Kongsinese Garrison at Fuzhou

The IV Corps have made much ground over the course of the past 24 hours. After the capture of the rail and road hub at Yingtan, and the city of Shangrao about 50 km (31 mi.) to the east, the Kongsi Revolutionary Army had finally put a stop to the Nacradian offensive about 80 km (50 mi.) south of Jingdezhen, a porcelain capital. The Nacradian IV Corps in the south were able to break through the Kongsinese lines towards the west, and established a coast on the Fuhe River. As of 08:30, the IV Corps have started engaging the local garrison at Fuzhou.

In the far south, the Nacradian III Corps were also able to make progress out from Oswain, pushing further into the city of Ganzhou. As of 10:00, the fighting is taking place approximately 30 km (18 mi.) from the city of Ganzhou. Moreover, the III Corps broke through the Kongsinese lines at Ruijin, which is at the border, and are advancing quickly. They have valiantly taken on an aggressive offensive into the city, which is located more or less in a salient.

The Nacrad Post will remain close awareness with the war situation, and will provide updates as soon as possible.

Kongsi Regiment Surrenders to Nacrad

The 277th Kongsi Regiment, a member of the garrison at Fuzhou, had surrendered to the 45th Division in the IV Corps.

At noon today (26 May), the commander of the 277th Kongsi Regiment Colonel Wen Guangfu, originally sent with his regiment to ambush the 451st Regiment, had opted to defect and surrender his unit to the Nacradian Armed Forces under a flag of truce.

Apparently, the men making up Colonel Wen's unit are all of the Min race, which had been forcibly taken over by Kongsi less than 2 decades ago. Reportedly, he had been a dissident of Kongsi's rule, and was demoted from the rank of Lieutenant General after the assent of Zhang Qianjin as Kongsi's leader, and was ordered to sortie out of Fuzhou to "redeem his crimes".

The Kongsinese regiment is currently fighting alongside the 45th Division to take Fuzhou.

US Troops touch down in Nelson ahead of anti-China offensive

The United States will send a total of send 54,000 soldiers to Drongonia in coming weeks amid increasing tensions between Western nations and China over COVID-19 and other issues, such as that of the South China Sea. The main force will begin arriving in Nelson in early June but an advance party of 12,000 soldiers has been stationed in Nelson pending their departure to the Pacific Ocean.

The joint exercise between the United States and Drongonia is being called the "largest offensive naval and aerial exercise in the Pacific's history", with close to 100,000 soldiers from both nations taking to the seas and the skies as a show of force aimed squarely at China.

All personnel involved in the exercise will be instructed to forcibly remove any Chinese or other non-authorised military equipment or forces from the Drongonian Exclusive Oceanic Activity Zone (DEOAZ), more simply known as the Drongonian Oceanic border.

The exercises come after leaked documents from the Drongonian Navy showed that the force had detected Chinese submarines skirting in and out of Drongonian territory, but had been apprehensive about launching an attack, therefore repeatedly issuing warnings to the Chinese vessels, which were largely ignored. The documents also suggest that the Drongonian Navy had evidence of Chinese ships entering Drongonian waters, only for them to make their way out again before the force could launch a defensive strike.

It is also being reported by New Zealand's government-run broadcaster, Radio New Zealand (RNZ), that the New Zealand government has not given permission for vessels belonging to the United States or Drongonia to enter its territorial waters, citing a policy of international neutrality.

Prime Minister Bill English released the following statement regarding the exercise:

"The relationship Drongonia shares with the United States is very special, and constitutes a truly unbreakable bond between our two nations. Our forces have worked together throughout our nation's history to secure both our own sovereignty and the sovereignty of our shared allies, and will strive to continue to do so in the future. On behalf of the nation of Drongonia, I warmly welcome the United States and its great forces into our country, and I eagerly await the beginning of our collaborative exercises."

In response to plans by the Cosmician government to suppress radical movements brewing in the Milky Way, citizens across Terra, Epsilon Tauri, Nyr-Khol and other planets have launched large-scale riots, destroying numerous local monuments and government buildings, most notably the Empire State Trade Complex in New York City, where 12,000 were killed after a tactical nuclear bomb was detonated by a suicide bomber, the statue of Mortheus Valixor in Berlin, one of the Space Elevators in the Atlantic, and the tallest building in Terra, the Great Wind Tower in the planned city of New Oceana.

Emperor Kasren Vereyn said in a press conference that these revolts are a result of the ideological differences that surfaced after the collapse of Mortheus Valixor's political cult, and encouraged people to moderate their political beliefs. The conference failed to calm the people, and the situation only became worse.

Cosmician militia units have been dispatched to deal with the situation, however resistance to their presence has been heavy too. Around 609,000 have been killed just today in Terra due to this resistance, and extreme measures such as carpet bombing of rioters, indiscriminate firing and shelling of rioters, and use of poison grenades have been enacted. If the revolts continue, the Cosmician Army may be dispatched to suppress the revolts at any cost.

Nacradian Progress Stalled, No Major Territorial Gains

Nacrad had hit its first roadblock in the war against Kongsi, as the Kongsinese military assembled along the Fuhe and Gan Rivers, running north-south through the nation of Kongsi. However, this has not stopped the IV Corps, as they captured bridgeheads across the Fuhe River that runs through Fuzhou, near the towns of Huwan and Luozhen, 20 km (12.2 mi) to the southeast and north of Fuzhou city center respectively.

The III Corps have also made slow progress through the south of Ganzhou, as the frontlines are advanced to approximately 20 km (12.2 mi) from the city center. The B Battalion of the 355th Regiment has captured the county town of Wan'an County, lying half-way between the cities of Ganzhou and Ji'an, and threatening the closing-off of Ganzhou city from the rest of Kongsi.

In the north, facing the onslaught of the Red 3rd Army of Kongsi, the IV Corps are slowly falling back, while establishing provisions for long-term holdouts in the cities along the Xin River. The commander of the IV Corps Marshal Kin-Kwok Albert Chan insist that it is a technical withdrawal and not a defeat suffered in northeastern Kongsi. He added that the slow withdrawal will entail burning down bridges and roads, and will reach the final position in about a week.

Nacrad Besieges Ganzhou, Persuades Kongsi to Surrender

The III and IV Corps of our nation have made much progress in the south of Kongsi.

At about 9:15 a.m. today (31 May 2020), the 35th, 38th and 42nd Infantry Divisions, accompanied by the 30th and 43rd Armoured Divisions, have broken through the Kongsinese lines to the northwest of the City of Ganzhou, and sealed the Red 1st Army of Kongsi in Ganzhou. Currently, the frontlines lie just 16 km (10 mi) from the city center of Ganzhou, while the 39th Division are already engaging the garrison at Ji'an, about 200 km (124 mi) north of Ganzhou.

At the same time, the 49th Infantry Division, in a valiant push, had crossed the Fuhe River near Fuzhou, threatening to encircle Fuzhou, in an attempt to quickly capture the city.

The Kongsinese are being pushed back on all fronts, except in the northeast, where the 45th, 46th and 48th Infantry Divisions are slowly falling back to the Xin River, in an attempt to organise better defensive positions.

The IV Corps' command center has sent the Kongsinese command a persuasion to surrender, stating that "Kongsinese forces are unable to resist the military of Nacrad, and is suffering heavy casualties", and that "it is best for the people of Kongsi that the People's Republic acknowledge the inevitability of total defeat and cease fighting with Nacradian troops to avoid total destruction".

Kongsi has declined this persuasion of surrender.

BREAKING: Skirmish on sea border results in sunk Chinese naval vessel

BREAKING: It has been reported by the Drongonian Defence Force Communications Office that a short exhange of both small arms and torpedo fire on the border of the Exclusive Drongonian Economic Zone, usually simply known as the Drongonian oceanic border, has resulted in two Drongonian sailors being injured and a Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy ship being sunk.

This comes just days after a joint exercise was launched between the United States and Drongonia to counter China's naval efforts in the Pacific Ocean. It is understood that all personnel involved in the exercise were instructed to forcibly remove any Chinese or other non-authorised military equipment or forces from the Drongonian Exclusive Oceanic Activity Zone (DEOAZ), more simply known as the Drongonian oceanic border.

The Chinese government has yet to comment on the incident, and have denied requests for comment by various international media outlets including FUX News. It is understood that the Chinese sailors on board the unidentified PLAN ship were not brought to shore by either Drongonian or American personnel.

The Drongonian Navy has confirmed that two sailors are being transported to Christchurch North Hospital via helicopter for treatment, with both remaining in a serious but stable condition.

Prime Minister Bill English and Defence Minister Scott Morris are expected to be holding a press conference shortly regarding the incident. It is being widely speculated that the joint press conference will be used to announce either further retaliatory military and/or economic action against China.

National Assembly Passes Resolution to Amend National Anthem

In an attempt to "reduce alienation of the non-Christian community", the National Assembly has passed a resolution to amend line 2 verse 2 of the National Anthem.

The previous version has only one varient of the line, which reads "Blessed by God and His mighty hand".

After this resolution has come into effect, citizens may freely choose between the following varients:

"Blessed by God and His mighty hand", or:

"Blessed by God and Her mighty hand", or:

"Blessed by Gods and their mighty hands", or;

"Blessed with labour and our mighty hands"

The Liaison Committee of the National Assembly (LCNA) has stated that this move was lobbied by various societal groups, who saw this line as too "Christian-centric", and that "citizens are advised to select a variant that best suits their societal and religious views after the amendment."

IV Corps Consolidate and Regroup Near Xin River, Bombs Jingdezhen, Nanchang, Ganzhou, and Ji'an

The IV Corps' slow but steady falling back has come to a close along the Xin River, where the heavy armaments line its shores. The IV Corps' commander, Marshal Kin-Kwok Albert Chan, has stated that the 45th, 46th and 48th Divisions' plans are to continue holding out and to exhaust the Red 3rd Army's manpower, with a decisive strike "some time in the future", where "the Kongsi Armed Forces are significantly weakened".

Meanwhile, down south, the garrison in Ganzhou, which had been encircled since last Thursday, has seen no sign of surrender even after the persuasion by the III Corps. Rumour has it that the garrison has mobilised the civilian population of Ganzhou to form a more comprehensive force. However, there has been no source supporting this claim. One thing that is sure, though, is that Ganzhou has a significant air force presence, as there has been extensive air raids. It is speculated, however, that the garrison will struggle to retain its intensity as fuel reserves are projected to run low soon.

Further east, near Fuzhou, the 43rd and 45th Infantry Divisions have completely encircled the garrison within the city, as heavy ordnance has been used to drive out any resistance. There is, however, no air force presence within Fuzhou.

The 39th Infantry Division continued to harass the garrison at Ji'an, and was unable to make much progress.

Over the course of the past few days (1 and 2 June), the 3rd Air Force Division has been conducting extensive bombing raids on the various military installations located in Jingdezhen, Nanchang (the capital), Ganzhou and Ji'an. It is expected that these bombing raids will continue. So far, Nacrad has not lost a single aircraft to the anti-air facilities of Kongsi.

Typhoon Strengthens Significantly, Predicted to be the Strongest Typhoon to Hit Nacrad Since 1986

Typhoon Katherine, now about 660 km (410 mi.) east-southeast of Guthan, has been classified a stage 3 super typhoon by the South East Asian Meteorological Survey Center (SEAMS), the first since Typhoon Haiyan in 2013.

As of 16:00 on 3 June, the 10-minute average wind speed near the center of Super Typhoon Katherine is 230 km/h (143 mph), while the gusts are predicted to reach up to 380 km/h (235 mph). Super Typhoon Katherine is now centered at around 700 km (434 mi.) east-southeast of Guthan, and is moving west-northwest steadily at 16 km/h (10 mph). Both the forecast by SEAMS and Philippine meteorological authority PAGASA predict a landfall in the Pearl River Delta region in the afternoon on 8 June, though the PAGASA forecasts predict Typhoon Catherine to hit at the equivalent strength of a Category 5 typhoon on the Saffir-Simpson Scale, meaning that the peak wind speeds exceed 252 km/h (157 mph), while that of the SEAMS predict it to be just below a Catagory 5 Typhoon.

It is further predicted that it will bypass the Philippine island of Luzon, and will enter the South China Sea via the Strait of Luzon, between Guthil and Luzon, and thus will retain its strength. It is very likely to surpass Super Typhoon Haiyan at landfall. SEAMS authorities warn that the damage done to Nacrad will be "The same as Typhoon Mangkhut in 2018, if not vastly worse", and urge residents near coastal areas to evacuate.

At around 10:00 today (3 June), the Nacrad Meteorological Center has issued Standby Signal (No. 1) to the entire state of Guthil, and a Typhoon Advisory Bulletin to all other states. Citizens are urged to prepare 2 weeks' worth of non-perishable foodstuffs and water, and should remain on the alert about any new information.

Drongonian hospitals hit by Chinese ransomware attack

The internal network shared by all public hospitals within Drongonia has been all but completely crippled today as the Ministry of Health confirmed that one user in Nelson has infected the entire HealthNet internal hospital network with a new Chinese-created piece of ransomware, being called CN-Crypt by security researchers.

It is believed that a member of the administration staff at Nelson Central Hospital inadvertently opened the malware, which reportedly arrived via an E-Mail attachment under the guise of records for an incoming patient. A spokesman for the Ministry of Health said that their IT department's investigations had narrowed down the exact time and date of the malware being launched, and had concluded that the E-Mail was sent via an "email spoofer", which allows cybercriminals to use an anonymous E-Mail address while masquerading as any address they wish to be.

It has been reported that the Drongonian Secret Intelligence Service (DSIS), as well as the Drongonian Security Services Bureau (DSSB) are both investigating the case, and are laying the blame for the attack squarely on the Chinese government. The malware heavily features Chinese imagery, and initial analysis suggests that the IP which the malware communicates with is also located in mainland China, somewhere near Shenzen.

Prime Minister Bill English and Defence Minister Scott Morris are expected to be holding a press conference shortly regarding the incident. It is being widely speculated that the joint press conference will be used to announce either further retaliatory military and/or economic action against China.

Health Minister Leah Driver assured both patients and reporters that no patient data had been compromised in the attack, and that the damage only extended to computers on the frontline of medical work, such as office machines and any healthcare appliances that ran on the Microsoft Windows operating system. The damage from the attack is expected to be repaired some time within the next three days, with the Ministry of Health deploying nearly ten times the normal amount of technical support staff to all affected facilities.

Prime Minister Bill English commented on FUX News' Drongonia Tonight current affairs programme that the attack was "callous and utterly disgusting" and that "the attackers should expect swift and fierce retribution."

Several elective and non-emergency surgeries have been cancelled as mobile diagnosis stations running on the Microsoft Windows operating system are requiring repairs from qualified technicians, the Ministry said. The Ministry of Health also asserted that everyone along the entire chain of command has been instructed not to pay the ransom displayed in the malware.

Super Typhoon Catherine Strengthens Further, Guthil To Take The Brunt of the Typhoon

Super Typhoon Catherine is now centered near 21°11'39.4"N 122°21'24.2"E, or about 300 km (186 mi) southeast of Guthan. Its 10-minute average wind speed near the center is 240 km/h (149 mph) and the maximum gust is expected to reach 380 km/h (235 mph). Super Typhoon Catherine is expected to move at its current heading at 15 km/h (10 mph) and may strengthen slightly.

According to the computer simulations by the South East Asian Meteorological Survey Center (SEAMS), Super Typhoon Catherine may experience yet another spurt of strengthening, and will enter the South China Sea without making landfall in either Guthil or Luzon, thus retaining its strength. On the contrary, the Philippine counterpart PAGASA forecasted Super Typhoon Katherine to make landfall in Guthil and thus losing much of its strength before reaching the Pearl River Delta region as a Stage 1 Super Typhoon or a Severe Typhoon.

Owing to the subsidence warming effect of the typhoon, most of Nacrad experienced intense heat, smashing June records. The highest temperatures were recorded at Portsville, Instow and Riverfort, which reached 41 C (105 F), 43.5 C (111 F) and 42.7 C (108 F) respectively, as the Very Hot Weather Warning Tier 3, the maximum level, was issued on much of the nation since 2 June.

At 21:00 today (4 June 2020), the Storm Signal, No. 8, is in force in Kalinko Province to the east of Guthil, while the Gale Signal, No. 7, is in force in Guthan Province and Taichung Province, on the south and west of Guthil respectively, whereas the Strengthening Wind Signal, No. 5, is now in force in Toipak Province, in the north of Guthil. Cape Kenting, the southernmost point of Guthil, is currently recording hurricane-force winds.

The Nacradian Astronomy, Climate and Atmospheric Observatory has stated that it will consider issueing the No. 10 Hurricane Signal on the southern portion of Guthil soon. It has also stated that the Strong Wind Signal No. 3 may be issued as early as tomorrow morning to the coastal provinces on the mainland, unless Super Typhoon Catherine weakens or slows down significantly. It is predicted that the typhoon will make landfall during the late night of 7 June or early morning on the 8th.

SEAMS have warned that the total damages caused by this storm may be in hundreds of million dollars, if not billions.

An evacuation order is currently in place in Kalinko Province on the east of Guthil, which is expected to be hit the hardest during the passage of this typhoon.

A ruptured anal cavity brings racial tensions

The mayor of Sokoapa in Sambo province, Milo Anpoa, ruptured his anal cavity through the insertion of a glass bottle which at some point shattered.

The mayor was found bleeding by some farmers who brought him to the hospital, and when asked about how that happened he said that it was some immigrants who forced it into him.

This brought racial tensions at a tense level, something which is quite unusual in Kergstan, probably because of a previous rape perpetrated by an immigrant in a nearby municipality just a week before.

Nacrad Captures Ji'an in Kongsi

Nacrad has made progress after being stalled over the last week. The III Corps entered the City of Ji'an, after the local garrison withdrew, at 16:00 today (15/6).

The Battle of Ji'an started on 9 June, where the majority of the III Corps were placed in position around the city. The push commenced on the following day, with heavy armoured, artillery and airborne elements giving the garrison nothing short of a total frontal assault. The Kongsinese garrison, although putting up formidable defence, was unable to resist the Nacradian military doctrine.

The local garrison commander, Brigadier General Wen Sheng, surrendered to the local Nacradian commander, General (Field High Marshal) Timothy Si-Yin Chan at around 14:50 today, and was taken prisoner-of-war.

Nacrad launches new modules to International Space Center, paves way for Martian and Solar System colonisation

The Nacradian Space Agency, the Air Force Space Peacekeeping, Exploration and Research Division (ASPER), has just successfully launched an expansion module to the International Space Center, currently jointly staffed by EU, US, Thai, Nacradian and Imperial Majapahiti cosmonauts. The ASPER spokesperson John Chan has said that this expansion module will allow the International Space Center to be expanded into a space travel hub in the future, paving the way for a planned colonisation of Mars.

The expansion module, according to ASPER, contains new solar arrays, cells and fuel storage, as well as a hub for the upcoming skyhook trials. This is in an effort to ease the hop between Earth and Mars, as such structure, on paper, transfers the kinetic energy of the ISC to that of an outbound spacecraft, and doing the reverse to an inbound spacecraft, much like a giant battery of kinetic energy, while the extra fuel tanks are to hold fuel to be used on further maneuvers to obtain a Martian encounter. In addition, a solar array capable of 200 kW of power is also launched, allowing a power production 25% higher.

Meanwhile, plans are already being drawn up to launch further power generation, ore-mining and fuel refining facilities to the Nacrad Lunar Territories, with plans to supply it with specialised spacecraft for fuel transport between the Moon and the ISC. It is calculated that up to 1 MW of power is required to run these systems.

ASPER has said that, by transporting fuel to an out-of-atmosphere location, a spacecraft only needs to carry enough fuel to reach orbit, and after construction of the skyhook, the docking port of the skyhook, to reach space, which saves on the launch mass and hence fuel costs in carrying the fuel from ground to orbit. It is calculated that, at optimal efficiency, a trip to the Lunar Colony will only require about 25% of the fuel needed today. With a two-way skyhook system, however, it is possible to obtain an even higher efficiency.

National maintains lead over Labour in latest FUX News Politipoll, Labour gets a subtle rise

FUX News' monthly PolitiPoll likely came as no surprise to National voters last night as it saw their party maintain its commanding lead over Labour. However, not all the changes seen in the poll were as predictable, with Labour rising by a surprising 1.1 percent, and People's Front coming out as the frontrunner among the minor parties with a respectable 5 percent, with a tiny dip of 0.1%.

National's support decreased slightly from 54% in the last poll to its current 53.2% rating, with political commentators saying the decrease likely came entirely from the Labour Party who also gained support from the Green Party. This comes as the party's planned vote of no confidence in leader Dianne Fitzgerald failed at the last hurdle, leaving the party with a leader they aren't entirely behind.

In a likely post-election coalition scenario based on the latest figures, the right-wing bloc comprised of National, People's Front and Libertarian would make up a staggering 60.4% of the vote, with the Labour-Green coalition only gathering 39.6%, which is seen by commentators as not a bad figure for an opposition, but nowhere near forming a tenable government.

Equating these figures into seats in parliament, National would hold 64 seats with Labour on 44. In the minor leagues, People's Front would gain 6 seats, with the Greens and Conservatives both languishing on 3. This would effectively allow National to pass any legislation completely unhindered, assuming every MP voted along party lines. In relation to the current makeup of parliament, this result would see National gaining ten seats as well as the aforementioned parliamentary majority. Labour would lose six seats, and People's Front would gain five. The traditional minor parties will see these results as absolutely devastating, with the Conservative Party losing five of its eight seats, and the Greens losing four of its seven. Worse still for the Libertarian Movement, they would be kicked out of parliament entirely.

In the preferred Prime Minister section of the poll, things were much more predictable as Prime Minister English's universally-praised handling of the COVID-19 pandemic translated to minimal movement in the 2-person ratings. Both the Labour Party and Sarah Ellice herself will likely be pleased with the small gain of 0.6%, proving once again that Ellice's likeability is not tied to her party's relatively modest performance. On the other hand, it is widely considered that Prime Minister English is much more associated with the goings on of the National Party and its MPs, which ties his popularity to the party on a much greater level.

Both sides of the establishment will likely consider this poll a win, with almost equal gains and a small jump for Sarah Ellice in the preferred Prime Minister rankings.
