Some Tiny Island reappears as mysteriously as it disappeared

FANCY TOWN - Having made a brief phone call to the Brancalandian Prime Minister this morning, our glorious, hyper-intelligent and totally not corrupt President and Dictator-for-Life, Commodore Henry Every XVII today became the first Tinylander to speak to a foreigner since Some Tiny Island mysteriously "CTEd" ('ceased to exist') four years ago. This anomalous event, the result of what physics professor John Dickens of Sparrow College, Fancy Town University calls a "failure of hyper-dimensional agentic subjectivity", is an example of a poorly understood and apparently disturbingly common trend of nations suddenly vanishing without trace with no obvious cause in this reality. "That's because the cause is not in this reality", explains Dickens, "but in a higher dimension in which our universe is embedded". While a few Tinylanders claim to have been conscious of being in a suspended state in a plane of existence some are calling "the Boneyard" during the nation's period of non-existence, scientists studying these events are sceptical of such claims. "The truth is, no one knows where CTEd nations go" says Dickens, adding that baffling as it may be, Some Tiny Island is fortunate to have returned to existence as only a small fraction of nations that CTE ever do so.
