In order to promote Zhouran's unique culture, history and traditions to the rest of the world, the Ministry of National Culture promotes various artistic programs include the production of performances, parades, exhibitions, cultural research, outreach, preservation, and publication of materials on Zhouranese art and culture. This year's theme is "Celebrating the Foundation of Zhouranese Civilization" and as a result, many of the programs will focus on Zhouran's prehistoric, ancient and medieval histories. According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of National Culture, the reason why this year's theme was chosen was because "foreigners are unaware that Zhouran's history spans longer than that of China's". "Not only that, foreigners don't know much about Zhouran's history and how unique it really is compared to that of China's or Japan's" she stated. Zhouran Central News Agency 09/26/XX Testing Guided Nuclear Bombs for Mock Exercise ZPA Air Force conducts mock tactical-nuclear exercise using guided nuclear bombs A Hong-23-1 supersonic strategic bomber and Jian-24-0-2 multirole air superiority fighter flying above the Awash River in Ethiopia during an exercise on November 14, 2009 This afternoon, a spokesperson for Central Aviation Command of the Zhouranese People's Army Air Force has publicly announced that the ZPA Air Force has conducted a mock tactical-nuclear exercise in Songsang District, Gaoyuan Province using guided nuclear bombs with no live nuclear warheads. As part of the exercise, three Hong-23-1 supersonic strategic bombers, escorted by eight Jian-24-0-2 multirole air superiority fighter jets, each dropped one variable-yield free-fall nuclear bomb over a firing range. To be specific, the nuclear bomb in question is a low to intermediate-yield strategic and tactical nuclear "hardened-penetration" weapon (nuclear bunker buster) featuring a variable yield (dial a yield) thermonuclear warhead with a yield of 0.10 kilotons to 1.4 megatons, however as part of the exercise to simulate a potential tactical nuclear battlefield, each of the nuclear bombs were fitted with a Type 05 Guided Precision Strike Kit, effectively turning them into very-high-precision, highly-maneuverable, hybrid inertial-satellite-infrared-electro optical guided, rocket-boosted glide bombs. During the exercise, when each of the nuclear bombs were dropped from the bombers, the rocket booster propelled them out towards a range of 185 km away from the launch point. Not only that, because the exercise was strictly non-nuclear in nature, each of the bombs had their variable-yield thermonuclear warhead replaced with a 300 kg conventional warhead made of Type 1044 Advanced High-Performance Explosive, which itself is a powerful insensitive high-explosive compound that consists of 52.5% Octanitrocubane and 47.5% Heptanitrocubane, and was designed to produce a tremendous explosion that would be highly-effective against soft-to-hard surface targets, and for anti-personnel purposes. According to the spokesperson, each of the nuclear bunker busters successfully penetrated and destroyed three deeply-buried underground target bunkers. The spokesperson also stated that "the hardened-penetration nuclear bombs are fully-capable of destroying even the most hardened missile silos, command bunkers, and underground facilities in the world" and that "not even underground is safe for the enemies". Thanks to Zhouran's highly-controversial "First Strike Policy", commanders can request for approval from the People's Defense Council to use strategic and tactical nuclear weapons for preemptive nuclear strike. Many have pointed out that Zhouran's latest series of mock nuclear exercises being conducted this year is a response to the tense standoff between North Korea and the United States, however officials from the People's Defense Council disagree, stating that the exercise was simply to "keep Zhouran's nuclear arsenal prepared" as well as to test "the capabilities of the People's Army in conducting both tactical and strategic nuclear operations". The People's Defense Council has also confirmed that despite North Korea's interest in conducting a live atmospheric nuclear test over the Pacific, there are currently no future plans for the nation to conduct a live nuclear test, stating that "the country has already conducted enough Military Nuclear Research Exploration Projects to fully understand the devastating effects of nuclear weapons". Bonjour, Kon'nichiwa, et Annyeonghaseyo. Welcome to Newsroom Today on KBC World, I'm Woo Hae-Yun. Dirigeant Arata Kasuga signaled his intention to issue an Executive Edict in response to a perceived lack of action by some in Little Nosamo. The move marks Kasuga's first Executive Edict as Dirigeant of the Taisuist Republic and goes against his earlier stated desires to avoid using an edict for such purposes. In this Executive Edict, the main points listed are as follows. First, all Dorians who are overdue to move during the latest deadline will have a 3-month extension to cooperate in moving. Should this be done, all benefits of selecting location and living near friends will still be available. Second, After the 3-month grace period, those refusing to leave will be moved with no preference to location. Third, An appeal extension will be made available out of goodwill but with reduced perks and finally, those who file for an extension and make no effort to move, will be deported to their nation of origin at the end of the extension period. This is the most controversial part of the Edict as for many Dorians that would mean getting sent back to New Yama. For more, we turn to our KBC correspondent Kohei Munakata who has the full report.

Kohei:With the second relocation deadline for the first wave of Dorian asylum seekers now passed, it seems that the frustration of the Kasuga Administration and the pressures of various ethnic groups have reached new heights. While many Dorians have relocated their homes outside of Little Nosamo or have received an official exemption, there are still a substantial amount of Dorians who refuse to not only relocate but refuse to learn any of the official languages. After months of what critiques called passive inaction, the Dirigreant while finishing up a visit to Mellburg was confronted by the press following the missed deadline. We do not have footage but the Saeki Press reports that Kasuga looked visibly disappointed and stated that he did not want it to come down to this but has no choice but to issue an Executive Edict. He went on to say quote

"We have a system here that is not perfect but works, and has been done for many generations. The issue here has normally been how can we make it more effective and organic, not whether people will actively refuse to integrate. This has nothing to do with losing one's culture but about additional tools to fit in the home society. You can even say an additional culture. Point is this will not stand and those who refuse to move will be the end of this will move or be moved."

In the Kasuga Administration bid for transparency when not related to national security. The Federal Palace issued a statement saying that the Saeki Press piece is accurate and not falsified. Since that time some of the contents of that Edict have made it's way to the public before Kasuga-seonbae could even return to Heiwa, it is reported that he did depart Beaufort but the precise location and ETA is confidential as expected. One thing for sure is that this will be a trying time between Kasuga-seonbae and the Dorian population but also other refugee/asylum populations such as Filipinos, many of which have been critical of the Dorian asylum population. Woo Hae-Yun: Thank You for that report. Despite Kasuga not being in Heiwa during his announcement, many people sought answers for this latest development. Federal Palace Press Secretary Omotayo Taiwo fielded some of this questions earlier. Let's take a look.

Omotayo Taiwo:" Kasuga-Seonbae has met with his cabinet on few occasions after the first deadline past about what to do should there be people who ignore the second deadline. There are those even then that wanted to take more aggressive action, Kasuga being the man that he is, gave more time as he has always stated that he wanted to avoid Edicts during his term. So this was planned and on the shelf for the occasion that the latest deadline was not met. As for the motivation, Kasuga just wants to ensure that there is no self-segregation. We believe this policy affects how children grow up and help make a nation very diverse...at least compared to other Asian nations remain functional."

Casel Risalge: "This is Guadalupador News Today, and reporter Casel Risalge, We've talked to a lot of ethnic Guadalupadorian business owners and restauranteurs currently living in Little Nosamo, and they're concerned that they'll be kicked out of their homes and business that they just built over the course of the year here. Will Kasuga's Edict affect them?"

Omotayo Taiwo:" No, Kasuga's Edict will not affect them. Restaurants and businesses were and remain immune to this Edict same goes for the owners. As for the employees of these restaurants and businesses they have special priority but are not completely exempt. They can file an E-1 form on the government's relocation page, at any real estate firm or website. With this, they will have priority to live in a neighboring neighborhood or at the unlikely worst-case scenario. Be located an easy commute away from their business. As expected with this sort of thing, the earlier you file the better off your exact choice is available.

Hassan Syomeo: "Hassan Syomeo, Ever Vigilant, (Yanamaist Party of Guadalupador's News Publication) So what's really behind this Executive Edict? Are you finally caving into the Sackies within your Liberty Party that want to see asylum seekers meet their deaths at the hand of the Martinezist Puppet New Yama?"

Omotayo Taiwo: "The purpose of this edict is to ensure that Dorian Asylum seekers that are planning on living here long term as citizens follow regulation like immigrants and refugees. This affects a minority in the Dorian community as many Dorians have complied with moving already. Little Nosamo is not going anywhere, it is good to have a center of culture where food, music, festivals can be followed. However, we can't have people stubbornly live there separate from the main country and not even able to communicate in any of the two and soon to be three official languages. As for the Deportation part, Kasuga-seonbae really does not want to do that and I believe it shows in the very specific violation it takes to be deported to New Yama. It's a deterrent. It's a provision for those who make no effort to move, get evicted and assigned a place to live, as we would not kick an asylum seeker into the streets. Then while receiving a notice of Eviction file an E-3 form asking for clemency and an extension to voluntarily move and then once again make no effort to move. Furthermore, for those who ignored the first two deadlines, they have three months till there a third and final deadline. This means the only way deportation to New Yama happens is ignoring the next three months, seeking an extension and then ignoring the next two months with no effort. Regular deportations for criminal activity still results in being sent to the Federal Union. "

Woo Hae-Yun: Over in Guadalupador, the preliminary reporting seems to be negative, some would believe that Kasuga and the Taisuist Republic do not care about their family members and friends and while understand the idea of assimilating into Kirishinan culture, are appalled at the notion that Kirishima would send refugees back to New Yama.

Dorians in Kirishima are more split. Most Dorians have made efforts at assimilation, but still, want a cultural community within a foreign land considering the content of the Edict, it is safe to say those concerns should dissipate in the coming days. The real issue here will be the few Dorians that refuse to assimilate. There are concerns that they will see their culture under further attack. In local social media, some have called Kasuga a liar and feel that he was very disingenuous about his promise to help asylum seekers. This has already led to some counter blowback from other immigrant groups. It remains to be seen how this story will play out in the coming days, but only time will tell and we will look towards the signing of the Edict and the third deadline to see what happens next....*paper shuffle* In our next story.....

The new 632 meter high tower will be named Nijio Tower after the late Kai Nijio, co-founder of the Mioji Corporation. Their previous headquarters in the Zun'xi Tower in Misai has been bought out by G-10 to be used as high rise apartments. Our next story arrives from the Ka'xiu prefecture as the National Marine Corps has closed in on the leader of RSK.

He has been located to be in a small fishing village called Eiji'xi just south of Jie'xiu. The KNC issued a press release stating "the RSK will be put to justice and Nai'iru Kai'yo will pay for being a traitor to the republic". Our first story of the day comes from the Grand Palace in Misai as President Shangzhou Kanshing an Prime Minister Eiji Konjarai meet with the Karunese National Council over what to do with Nai'iru Kai'yo and the future of South Karu. We now head to Suji Jinko reporting from the Misai.

Suji Jinko: Tensions have been high here in the Grand Palace after the capture of Nai'iru Kai'yo. Prime Minister Konjarai stated that "Kai'yo is a traitor to our great republic and he must be handled as such". Now the current policy on policy of high treason is to be exiled out of the republic but Konjarai has said before that when Kai'yo is caught, he should be executed. This contrasts to President Kanshing's opinion on Kai'yo in which he states that "Kai'yo should be subject to the same laws as everyone else and should be exiled away from the republic". Taejŏn announces to hold a charity marathon for flood victims

November 5th, 2017 (KCNA), The city of Taejŏn, located in South Ch'ungch'ŏng province, announced today that it plans to organize a marathon to raise funds for the victims of the recent floods in South Hamgyŏng province.
The organizers also state that both Korean citizens and foreigners are welcome to register for the marathon, which will take them from Yusŏng District in the northwest of Taejŏn through the central business district to Tong District on the other side of the city, which is currently getting ready to cope with the athletes filling the city streets.
Both men and women will be able to participate in the marathon and all money that will be raised during the marathon will be donated to charity in South Hamgyŏng.
"We are one Korean nation," says Kim Kwan-gil, one of the organizers: "so we are supposed to help our fellow Koreans up north, who lost their homes in the recent floods. But foreigners are of course welcome to participate, as they will also get to see the city during the marathon and have a good time while also contributing to something good."
The marathon is expected to be held on November 19th, and people interested in participating can submit their application at taejonmarathon.co.kp.

Scientists move into Mirae Street in P'yŏngyang



November 5th, 2017 (KCNA), In the city of P'yŏngyang in South P'yŏng'an province, Korean scientists and their families moved into their new and modern apartments today.
These apartments were built alongside newly-built Mirae Street to provide good housing for the scientists that bring innovation to the Korean people.
The scientists and their families were overfilled with joy upon inspecting their new dwellings, with several government officials being present at the ceremony.
"In the name of the Korean people", a WPK official who was present, announced: ", you are now the residents in this new neighborhood that is Mirae Street, a street devoted to our scientists and their families. According to the spokesperson, the plan is to turn the abandoned power plant from a "mothballed project into an optimized informative-advanced facility that will meet a number of target-oriented parameters using highly-sophisticated information and management technologies found in modern Zhouranese nuclear power plants". If accepted by the Philippine government, the current BNPP building will be demolished in order create a new complex using sophisticated technologies found in Zhouran's vast numbers of nuclear power plants. Not only that, this new BNPP will also be designed to meet the growing energy demands of the Philippines and provide high-level nuclear protection thanks to Zhouran's several years worth of experiences in the area of nuclear safety. As planned, the fully-rebuilt Bataan Nuclear Power Plant will be using two six-loop Type 6111 High-Powered Water-Cooled Water-Moderated Pressurized Energy Reactors, with each having a gross capacity of 1,900 MWe and an operational life of around 68 years with lifetime extension of up to 132 years. Constructed to meet Zhouran's national and international nuclear and radiation safety requirements, the facility will meet a number of target-oriented parameters using highly-sophisticated information and management technologies found in modern Zhouranese nuclear power plants. Modern Zhouranese NPPs are characterized by the unprecedented low risk of ionizing radiation propagation and radionuclide emission to the environment. This result is achieved through newest protective and localizing technologies of the safety system. The redesigned BNPP will show the configuration based on two channel structure of active safety systems without internal backup, and four channel structure of passive safety systems. Combination of passive and active safety systems provided for in the power plant ensures that any of its cores will not be destroyed for not less than 72 hours from the moment of severe accident happening in case of any possible scenario. The corresponding technical solutions guarantee that the reactor plant will be transferred to safe conditions at any combination of initial events (natural and human-induced) triggering to loss of all the electric power sources. Many analysts including those from Zhouran, the US, and the Philippines, have stated that the plan to rebuild the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant based on Zhouranese design is based on two things: Zhouran's highly-generous policy on providing client states with the latest industrial support, and Premier Tan Zhineng's promise to increase Zhouran's nuclear industry and decrease the power usage of coal-based sources. During his tour at the Anjing Nuclear Power Plant, Tan Zhineng stated "the plan is to shut down all coal-based power plants in the nation and significantly increase the already-large numbers of reactors in the country by 2050". Currently the People's Republic of Zhouran produces up to 258,390,000 GWh of electricity to feed power to the nation's massive 12,285,480,000 population. About 45% of energy sources come from nuclear while 25% comes from coal, 18% from hydropower, 10% from wind and 2% from other sources such as solar, hydrogen fuel-cells and biofuel. As a result, about 116,275,500 GWh of electricity comes from nuclear power, however the Premier along with the National Nuclear Energy Agency plan to increase the percentage of nuclear power to around 85% by 2050. Since the early 1980s, Zhouran has been recognized for its nuclear disaster expertise and for the safety of nuclear technology. The nation has also been a top player in the nuclear export markets with the National Nuclear Mechanical Engineering Service, the company that produces Zhouran's nuclear reactors, successfully selling nuclear reactors to other countries. While the Zhouranese plan to rebuild the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant using the latest Zhouranese nuclear technology has met with positive curiosity from the Philippine government, at the same time many Filipino locals in Bataan, along with various anti-science groups such as Nuclear-Free Philippines Coalition and No Nukes Philippines, remain adamantly opposed to resurrecting the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant due to highly-political, anti-scientific misconceptions regarding nuclear power. ROSRICK — The Tiperyn Realm Defence has been engaging in human trafficking in Naseristan for the past eight years in collusion with Arab warlords, according to a report recently published by the International Human Trafficking Monitor (IHTM).

The report cites at least 89 specific cases of Tiperyn Realm Defence personnel involved in human trafficking within the Kesh hotspot. In at least 73 of those cases, IHTM reported Tiperyni collusion with several Arab warlords prominent in northern Naseristan.

Approximately 8,900 people were trafficked through Naseristan in 2016 - a 300% increase - according to IHTM. International Human Trafficking Monitor Director Adelina Brodeur said the overall upward trend in human trafficking in Naseristan and Kesh spiked when current Cardinal of Was Cain Lowham took charge of the Ministry of the Sword in 2009.

"We have seen a 120% increase in human trafficking in northern and central Kesh and even greater increases in Naseristan specifically since 2009," Brodeur said. "This coincides with the entry of Mr. Lowham into the upper echelons of Tiperyni government and the surge of Tiperyni troops in Naseristan."

Other than Lowham, among those indicted were General Julian Dyer and Colonel General Richard Harper, commanders of the 5th Cavalry and 3rd Rifleer Divisions respectively. According to the report, these two units, accounting for a combined 20,000 military personnel in Naseristan, were heavily involved in the kidnapping, movement and sale of women and children in Naseristan.

As of Nov. 3 at 9 p.m., the Ministry of the Sword has declined to comment.

Naseristan, civil war and the troop surge

Naseristan has been a hotbed of ethnic and sectarian tensions since Tiperyn colonized it in the early-18th century, but has recently saw a resurgence in violence. Since 2006, its primarily Persian southern provinces - allegedly supported in part by actors within Asharistan according to the Naseristan government - have actively engaged in armed resistance against the Tiperyni military and Arab paramilitary militias based on the country's northern coast.

The Tiperyn military had between 400 and 700 soldiers and sailors stationed in Naseristan to guard its base within the Ar Rutqah Harbor on the country's northern coast. However, this changed when Cain Lowham assumed command of Tiperyn's defence ministry.

"When Lowham became Tiperyn's Cardinal of War, we saw a fundamental shift in Tiperyn's policy regarding Naseristan," Professor of International Affairs at the University of Rosrick Roger Mackland said. "There was an increase in military spending, a transition of power regarding military matters from the Empress to the Ministry of the Sword, but most of all there was an exponential increase in the deployment of Tiperyni soldiers to Naseristan."

From 2009 to 2010, Tiperyn's expeditionary force in Naseristan increased from 800 to 15,000. In early 2017, there were 24,500 Tiperyni military personnel in the country, according to data published by the Ministry of the Sword.

This surge of troops in Naseristan not only brought an increase in violence and civilian deaths, but an increase in reports of human trafficking.

On Oct. 18, 2011, Persian insurgents ambushed and captured a Tiperyni military convoy travelling through southern Naseristan. Although media attention focused heavily on the six Tiperyni soldiers who survived the ambush and were eventually executed two months later, as many as 20 women were also detained.

According to the commander of the Golden Spear militia Farhad Dalir - the head of the insurgent group that conducted the ambush - none of the women found with the convoy were Naseristani and they claimed to have been kidnapped months earlier.

"We found them and they were crying to us," Dalir said. "Some were Taihei, but most were Guurkhun."

This specific case was not investigated by the international community, and it would not be the last case of Tiperyni human trafficking to become public before the release of IHTM's report. A similar case in Feb. 2017, this time involving the Persian militia group Black Tide, revealed over a dozen Taihei sex slaves in Tiperyni custody.

The most recent IHTM report reveals that the Tiperyni military may have been involved in as much as 31% of human trafficking in Naseristan between 2011 and 2017. Involvement may have included indirect financial aid to Arab groups guilty of human trafficking, as well as the direct kidnapping, movement, detainment and sale of victims.

Moving forward, IHTM has said that it will continue investigating human trafficking in Naseristan and will look deeper into the route of human trafficking from Taihei Tengoku specifically into Naseristan. The monitor has pleaded for the international community to take action.

"Really, we will only see a change when the international community intervenes and enacts tangible change," Brodeur said. "Our organization feels that international efforts to stem human trafficking in Kesh especially have fallen short. This must change."

Vannish Air Force Deploys To Tainese Isles

The Tainese Department of Relations put out an official notice that citizens of their South East Asian nation can expect a foreign military presence. International business has poured in recently from the Empire of Vangaziland. A once distance relationship is suddenly becoming more hands on.

Expect the skies to become much louder. "Flight operations will be 24/7", said Brigadier General Harry Austassun. "Most take offs will be far away from urban areas. They'll be high enough to avoid too much noise over the cities."

Prime Minister Hank Goodsen of Vangaziland cited "regional instability and concerns" as well as "broadening economic ties with the Empire. The move essentially qualifies the Tainese Isles as a Vannish Territory by IVG Standards.

Thousands of Tainese have taken to the streets in protest. The first garrison of Marines deployed on "Newly Imperial Land" were met with protestors who tried to clog the streets. Tai policemen & women closed in, clothed in riot giot to quickly clear the scene. The crowd quickly cooperated with only a minor clash.

Joining the Vangazi are soldiers from New Gazi, a company from one of their expeditionary battalions. The African unit is deploying military police forces, including EOD and K-9 squads. The force is symbolic of the African state's alliance with Vangaziland. The two nations have worked together as early as 1098 and the Viking Era when the first Scandinavian ships berthed at "The Land Of The Sun".

Now Vangaziland is a nuclear first strike waving, hardline corporate-liberal with a mixed population, way North. A small percent are descendants of Tainese immigrants, many who escaped regional instability as late as the 1960s, but spanning back much earlier. They are a welcome part of Vangaziland, as are the many cultures who make up the "other 10%", with the black and white citizens splitting 90% almost evenly. Vangaziland is one of the most inclusive nations in the multiverse, and this comes into play in this situation as well.

The strategic maneuver comes with billions of dollars in investment that will benefit New Gazi. The Tainese Auto industry is expected to put dozens of thousands of people back to work. Expect to see great things from companies that will afford better talent, retaining workers who would normally immigrate to Vangaziland for better pay.

Still, many protest and worry about foreign Marines riding around in futuristic looking Expeditionary Fighting Vehicles. A commander caused an international incident when he forgot to consider a public beach was within eye sight of a landing exercise. Several locals paniced and ran as Vannish Marines fired blank, noise-making ammunition on Ang-Hyu beach as a part of 'Company Lion Exercise".

General Austassun commented on the event saying, "I personally handled the incident and I can assure the public that he and all other field commanders will remember that the Flag Staff will be watching. Nobody wants to repot to a 1-star."

Tainese critics called the "punishment" a slap on the wrist.

"Nobody was hurt", said the general rather callously.

Vangaziland is also deploying soldiers to New Gazi as well, securing hold on the local nation's interests. New Gazi is more isolationist, but does keep their neighbors secure.

Analysts speculate submarine patrols will also hit the region, although the Vannish Navy put out an official statement refusing to comment. This will be Prime Minister Hank Goodsen's last act in office, with a new Prime Minister set to take officer in January.

Members of the sporting community may remember the Tainese from their single year of participation in the World Baseball Classic, where they proved to have a reliable bullpen and efficient pitching strategy. A lack of funding, due to corruption and mismanagement kept the Tainese out of the latest season.

Earlier today, our justful and glorious Chairman of the Vigorous Union, Akhmed Selimi ordered the commencing of a military campaign with the ultimate goal of retaking the formerly truthful, yet now rebellious cockroach province of Dobija. The mission of this campaign, which has been justly named Operation Safar, will be to repatriate the unjust and unrightly proclaimed Republic of Dobija.

Our glorious leader announced that the operation will commence on the 20th of Safar, 1439. It will involve several units from both our Revolutionary Mujahideen Ground-Forces as well as our Revolutionary Mujahideen Air Force. Unconfirmed sources also claim that our Revolutionary Fedayeen will participate, yet to a lesser extent than that of the previous two branches mentioned. As of now, Dobija is expected to fall within the period of a couple of weeks, at a maximum. An estimate of 7,000 soldiers will participate in the opening stages of the campaign, which will be composed of a heavy artillery barrage against unjust and hostile "Dobijak" positions as well as airstrikes on several targets which have been deemed relevant.

The rebellious elements which currently possess governance over the so called Republic of Dobija will be expelled and the people of Dobija will cheer as we, the truthful victors will march into its self-procalimed capital of Korita. Airborne Cavalry Jumps Into Multi-national Exercise

Every paratrooper in the 10th Airborne Cavalry is issued a postcard at least once during their time in the unit. It shows the vehicle that is the mainstay of their Division, the BMD-4M, in the taiga of central Vangaziland. Vangazi are forged from a land where every winter is bone-chilling and chock full of snow. A common Vannish Army saying is 'the enemy can't do anything winter hasn't already done.'

The unit brings a capability not often seen in Western armies. Vehicles like the Humvee or Stryker are air transportable. They can be broken down and dropped with their crew and much of the gear necessary to operate it shipped separately. Soviet doctrine needed a vehicle that could drop, drive off and fight. Western paratroopers worship 'light' doctrine to dramatic proportions and would consider the phrase 'Airborne Cavalry' blasphemy.

"As I always tell the media, Vangaziland is not the West. We are the North. We follow neither side", said General H. Applebind, Commanding General of the Vannish Armed Forces. "We follow both." At 0230 or 2:30AM, Vangaziland's highest ranked officer gave a special press conference with a major announcement.

"As of zero one hundred hours, a small element of soldiers from the Tenth Airborne Cavalry jumped into friendly territory in the United Nations of Europa. The territory stretches to the border of Ukraine. The Vannish Armored paratroopers carried postcards as they conducted a training jump, miles away from Ukraine.

"This event is just an exercise with the UNE", Applebind continued. "Vannish soldiers are set to add a presence to Ukraine, in order to help stem the tide of separatist violence. Vangaziland is putting a finger down, along with others, to say no. Ukraine will not separate into any new nations."

Vangaziland is not the typical nation. Even Russia's government will have to respect the First Strike policy of the Vannish Empire.

"The Russians know this", said Prime Minister Hank Goodsen recently. "The Vangazi are not the kind of people you play with. We are all business. And they are too. But Vangaziland does not conduct 'amateur hour' military operations."

Vangaziland has made international waves before, holding off the entire IFC in the 2014 Mirevian Crisis. From 2015 to August 2017 a sustained, international conflict deposed a former Soviet-bloc government in a secular Arab nation. The initial air war shattered the People's Army, with 18 months of propaganda weakening the soldiers' morale beforehand.

Now, a moderate and less Soviet-radical communist government is in place, fighting its own war against radical forces formerly in charge.

The Airborne Cavalry conducted training maneuvers upon landing in the UNE, as they flanked and maneuvered not long after landing. The two company-sized elements met at a large meadow. The support elements would be arriving in the morning and would include medical and mechanical sub-units.

"The maneuvers were a dry run. In fact, no weapons were drawn", said Gen. Applebind. "It was more of a driver's training exercise, and a challenging one. In the dark of night, our soldiers utilized GPS and paper navigation methods to close onto an objective tactically."

The General took a stern look and stared into the podium as he said, "Those who think they intimidate the Vangazi. Just know. Your best case scenario is that you wake up, and our BMDees are closing in with air support... And operators.. Russia needs to move out of the Ukraine. Vangaziland does not follow the West. We do not follow the World Assembly. We are not white knights or he-roes. Read about us. The Ukraine will not break apart. The Ukraine is strong."

With that, the late night speech was concluded. It'd be shot well enough in advance for the morning bloc news shows. The deployment is somewhere under 500 soldiers and is just a police element to help secure certain key locations. Europa has reqested limited support to help increase relief time for their coalition's forces.

The Vannish government sees the issue as one they see needing a conclusion.

"We understand the risks of sending soldiers into the current climate in Ukraine. It is not taken lightly. Our hope is to end violence and to end the loss of life. We ask our citizens to think of their citizens. In that spirit, we are asking the Order of the Purple Cross to get involved in the Ukraine. They are sending donations. Open the full hearth of the donated force to these people, despite the risky environment."
