Hi! I'm [REDACTED], but you may call me Sophya.
I enjoy singing, cooking, learning about the world, listening to music, and spending time with my family.
Please don't send me too many messages at once; I'm an unusually skittish introvert and will probably ghost you if you do.

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index: Beefalo Bill
Your nation's current year: 2023
Your nation's type of government: Republic
Would you like to receive a telegram updating you when your nation has been scored? No

Note: Laws vary by state (unless noted), this is what the laws would be in a typical Beefalonian state.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
The Beefalo Bill Constitution bans all legal distinctions between men and women (at any level of government - national, state, or local), so guarantees that men and women have the same legal rights.
1.Do women have the right to vote? Yes in all states (protected by Constitution)
2.Do women have the right to drive? Yes in all states
3. Do women have the right to freedom of religion? Yes in all states
4. Do women have the right to choose their own spouse? Yes in all states
5. Is marital rape recognised as a crime? Yes in all states
6. Do married women have the right to own property Yes in all states
7. Do women have the right to inherit?: Yes in all states

Section Two - Punishment for abuse of women
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
Note: Beefalo Bill does not allow mandatory minimum sentences for any crime, so "minimum sentence" is the lightest sentence someone could realistically get.
1. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for a man murdering a woman in your nation?:
7-years-to-life is the maximum allowable sentence for any crime in Beefalo Bill, and the most common sentence for murder. There is no guaranteed life in prison, or death penalty. Because of the nation's ban on gender-specific laws, there are no special penalties for a man murdering a woman, but in practice these murders get slightly longer sentences (~20% longer than a woman murdering a man) because of judge and jury bias.
Maximum: Life in prison
Mode: Typical time served is 15 years.
Minimum: Almost all murders get the 7-to-life sentence, but occasionally someone gets away with something lighter, e.g. 3 years to life, or 14 years with chance of parole after 7. So realistically, the minimum time served is 7 years.
2. What are maximum, minimum and mode average sentence for domestic violence by a man towards a woman in your nation? Depends on the specifics of the crime
3. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for coercive control by a man towards a woman in you nation?
4. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for a man who rapes a woman in your nation?
There is no crime of "rape" in Beefalo Bill, it's simply an informal term for serious forms of sexual assault.
Max: Life in prison (7 years to life)
Realistic min: 6 months
Mode: 5 years
5. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for sexual assault in your nation?
Max: Life in prison (for serious SA)
Min: 6 months probation (for very mild forms of SA)
Most common: 4 years probation (since most SA's are of the less severe kind)
6. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for incitement to Incel violence in your nation?:

7. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for the unlawful imprisonment of women?
9. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for trafficking women in your nation?:
Max: Life in prison
Min: 1 year in prison
Mode: 10 years in prison
Section Three - Government Stances on women's rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.

2. Does your government support gender equality? Yes

3.Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?: No

4. Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they): No

5. Are women's rights written into your nation's constitution? Yes (requires women have all the same rights as men, and vice versa, by forbidding distinctions between men and women)
6. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights on a national level? Yes
7. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights internationally? Yes
8. Does your government allow tax-deductable donations to women's rights organisations? Yes

During the rule of Malnja, women's rights had massively improved in comparison to the rights of any other group of people. Now, of course, she's dead and a lot of rights have been backtracked on, but some rights have remained and had become a part of Unojoish culture.
Everything posted from this GOVERNMENT ISSUED ACCOUNT is reflective of Unojo and his colonies. This account can be used in an UNOJOISH COURT OF LAW and as a reference for historical lore of our nation. Assume posted is in character unless specified as to not be. Even then, most out of character moments are to happen outside of forums and on the TSP discord.

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index: Juansonia
Your nation's current year: 2023
Your nation's type of government: Constitutional Republic, Unicameral legislature
Would you like to receive a telegram updating you when your nation has been scored? Sure

All answers are referring to areas under the Jurisdiction of the Armed Republic of Juansonia, and any tonal bias or word choice reflects on the IC nature of an unnamed person filing this.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1.Do women have the right to vote?:

The right to vote is guaranteed to all citizens at or above the age of majority, except for those who have been punitively disenfranchised. In the case of humans, nekomini, and most other sapient species among the Juansonian citizenry, sex and gender have no effect on age of majority.

2.Do women have the right to drive?:

What is this "Right to drive" bullshit? Driving is a privilege reserved for those who have a need and have demonstrated themselves to be safe behind the wheel. One's sex and gender is only relevant because driving licenses are a form of identification document.

3. Do women have the right to freedom of religion?: All sapient persons have the right. Sex and gender are not factors.
4. Do women have the right to choose their own spouse?: Only if all would-be-spouses agree.
5. Is marital rape recognised as a crime?: Rape is a crime, any involved marriages have no effect on sentencing.
6. Do married women have the right to own property?: When people get married, they decide whether preexisting assets will be owned individually or jointly during the marriage. The mutual consensus of all persons involved is required. In the absence of a prenuptual agreement, shared property will be split equally in the event of a divorce.
7. Do women have the right to inherit?: All sapient persons have the right. Sex and gender are not factors.

Section Two - Punishment for abuse of women
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.

All mininums and maxinums ignore sex and gender. There is a ban on the death penalty, and repealing it would only make it applicable to murder, rape, attempted murder of certian state employees and officials, and war crimes.

1. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for murder?:
Max: Life, Without Parole (LWOP). Min: 3 months in prison. Mode: 5 years in prison, plus fines
2. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for domestic violence in your nation?:
It's simply a 25% enhancement to any applicable act of rape, sexual assault, or violent crime.
3. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for coercive control in your nation?:

Coercive control isn't defined in itself, but most acts which constitute coercive control are illegal in themselves. For example, sleep deprivation counts as torture, and preventing someone from leaving counts as unlawful inprisonment

4. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for rape in your nation?:
Max: LWOP. Min: 1 year. Mode: 8 years.
5. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for sexual assault in your nation?:
Max: 15 years. No mininum. Mode: 2 Years.
6. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for incitement to Incel violence in your nation?:

Legally, the government doesn't recognise "incel violence" as being a thing, but it does impse a 25% additional penalty for crimes committed on the basis of the victim having, or being percieved to have, a protected charictaristic (species, race, sex, gender, orientation, religious (dis)beliefs and affiliation, status as a prostitute, etc.), those who incite a crime usually are punished proportional to the actual or hypothetical sentences of those incited.

7. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for unlawful imprisonment?:
Max: 15 years. Min: 1 year. Mode: 3 years.
9. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for coercive trafficking?:

Section Three - Government Stances on women's rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. Does your government support chivalry towards women? No statement.
2. Does your government support gender equality? Yes.
3.Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?:No.
4. Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they):No.

2. Does your government consult with women's rights advocates or experts when enacting relevant legislation?
Not officially, but legislators often consult them.
5. Are women's rights written into your nation's constitution?
The rights of all sapient persons, along with the rights reserved for all free citizens, are enshrined in the constitution, and it prohibits those rights from being deprived on the basis of any arbitraty, reductive charictaristic.
6. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights on a national level?
Only in areas where women's rights are particularly in need of improvement
7. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights internationally?
Yes, especially where it's a convenient justification for other state interests.
8. Does your government allow tax-deductable donations to women's rights organisations? Depends on if it's an advocacy charity, a direct political organisation, or a political funding organisation.

Section Four - women's employment rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
has your nation ever had a female head of state: Yes

The following questions only count the male and female population towards the total of 100%(

Percentage of women in the population: 52%
Percentage of women in the following roles...
Senior military officers: 52%
School headteachers/principals: 67%
Legislature or equivalent: 51%
Judges: 46%
Police officers: 45%
Cabinet ministers: 51%
Senior academics: 60%
Religious leaders:

Juansonia does not have a state religion. The largest religious group is atheists, but atheism is not a religion for the purposes of this question. The next largest group is Christianity, of which Catholicism is both the majority and the largest with a unified policy. The Catholic Church has imposed a complete ban on women entering the clergy, but the Juansonian Conference of Catholic Bishops is requesting to let women become deacons in the Juansonian Conference. Due to varying policies and absence of records, we cannot prepare statistics for Christianity as a whole.

Lawyers: 59%
Doctors: 53%
CEOs: 49%
Major landowners: 55%

Section Five - Societal Attitudes
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. What percentage of the public believe women are equal to men? 72%
2. What percentage of the public supports chivalry? 24%
3. What percentage of working-age males would feel comfortable having a female boss? 80%
4. What percentage of voting age (in a democracy or a system with elites as voters) people, or people at the age at which a royal can accede to a monarchy (in a monarchy) would support a female head of state?: Assuming no other relevant factors, 76% would be indifferent, 18% would oppose, %6 would support
5. What is the most common view on the sentences for serious crimes against women?: "Ideally, the sex and gender of the victim and offender would have no affect on the sentence of a crime, barring any sentence increases due to bigoted motivations. Juansonia's system does a great job at meeting this goal." Stances on punishments being too high or too low weren't asked about, except within the context of how they were affected by those factors.

-"Latest interest-rates crisis shows supremacy of Islamic finance"- Grand Mufti.
- War Minister, Akbar Zahir Khan, dies in airstrikes.

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index: The Heavenly Republic of China
Your nation's current year: 2023
Your nation's type of government: One Party (Kuomintang or KMT) Semi-Presidential Republic
Would you like to receive a telegram updating you when your nation has been scored? Sure.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1.Do women have the right to vote? No.
2.Do women have the right to drive? Theoretically, yes, but almost no one drives. Bicycles are far more common, and many rural provinces, horse or ox-driven carts.
3. Do women have the right to freedom of religion? Yes, mostly.
4. Do women have the right to choose their own spouse? More in urban areas and in Christian communities, less so in rural and heavily Confucian, Taoist, or Buddhist communities. Even less in traditionally Islamic Xinjiang.
5. Is marital rape recognised as a crime? No.
6. Do married women have the right to own property Married women in order to keep their property after marriage need legal contracts provided by legal counsel. Far more common in urban population centers, i.e. cities.
7. Do women have the right to inherit?: Yes, but in more rural areas, it is usually left to sons rather than daughters.
Section Two - Punishment for abuse of women
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for a man murdering a woman in your nation?: Minimum is life imprisonment at hard labor or consignment to penal military service. Average is death by firing squad. Maximum is death by hanging.
2. What are maximum, minimum and mode average sentence for domestic violence by a man towards a woman in your nation? Minimum is a hefty fine. Average is public caning. Maximum is ten years of hard labor or consignment to penal military service.
3. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for coercive control by a man towards a woman in you nation? Minimum is a hefty fine. Average is public caning. Maximum is ten years of hard labor or consignment to penal military service.
4. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for a man who rapes a woman in your nation? Minimum is a hefty fine and public caning. Average is two yeas of hard labor, a hefty fine, and public caning. Maximum is ten years of hard labor or consignment to penal military service.

7. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for the unlawful imprisonment of women? Minimum is a hefty fine. Average is public caning. Maximum is ten years of hard labor or consignment to penal military service.
9. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for trafficking women in your nation?: Minimum is confiscation of all property and consignment to penal military service. Average is ten years of hard labor. Maximum is death by hanging.
Section Three - Government Stances on women's rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. Does your government support chivalry towards women?
No. This is a Western concept that has no bearing upon Chinese traditional culture. Traditionally, upper-class women are treated with a certain deference, middle-class women with less deference, but some, while lower-class women are treated with a lot less deference. Christian communities have tried to average this out, but where that has succeeded, the result has been closer to the middle class average. Even that is predominant only in the strongly Christian urban communities rather than predominantly Buddhist, Confucian, and Taoist rural ones.
2. Does your government support gender equality?
In theory, yes, up to a point. That is certainly the nominal position of the Great Kuomintang Revolutionary Movement, but it has been in power for roughly a century, and there have only been uneven gains.
3.Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?:
Yes, foot-binding women is specifically banned, but there was never an issue with foot-binding men, so that makes sense.
4. Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they):
Yes, men may keep concubines, though that is more common in more affluent Taoist and Confucian circles.
2. Does your government consult with women's rights advocates or experts when enacting relevant legislation?
There is a female representation and petition council, the Conclave of Female Deputies, which is meant to exist as a transitional phase toward universal suffrage. Women alone may vote for this body, which is a sort of junior parliament, and only women may serve in it.
5. Are women's rights written into your nation's constitution?
The Constitution is still a series of organic laws and statutes rather than a single document, though work continues toward a single written one, but with much debate that has continued for decades.
6. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights on a national level?
Yes, that is a repeatedly stated goal of President Wang Ping's administration, particularly in honor of Madame Chiang, whom he reveres as a national hero.
7. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights internationally?
Yes, but we still have plenty of progress at home on which to focus.
8. Does your government allow tax-deductable donations to women's rights organisations?
No, there are no tax deductions permitted whatsoever, as these are found to make tax collection and enforcement more difficult.
Section Four - women's employment rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
has your nation ever had a female head of state:
No, though the Dowager Empress came closest before her downfall after the Boxer Rebellion, and Madame Chiang exerted immense influence upon President Chiang Kai-shek.
Has your nation ever had a female head of government:
See above answer.

Percentage of women in the population:
50.234% of the population.
Percentage of women in the following roles...
Senior military officers:
0
School headteachers/principals:
0
Legislature or equivalent:
0 (aside from the Conclave)
Judges:
0
Police officers:
0
Cabinet ministers:
0
Senior academics:
0
Religious leaders:
4%
Lawyers:
.2%
Doctors:
.03%
CEOs:
0
Major landowners:
12%

Section Five - Societal Attitudes
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. What percentage of the public believe women are equal to men?
35%
2. What percentage of the public support chivalry?
6% maybe...in fact, most of the egalitarian folks are strongest in opposition, believing that chivalry is diametrically opposed to gender equality.
3. What percentage of working-age males would feel comfortable having a female boss?
8%
4. What percentage of voting age (in a democracy or a system with elites as voters) people, or people at the age at which a royal can accede to a monarchy (in a monarchy) would support a female head of government?: 5%
5. What is the most common view on the sentences for serious crimes against women?:
They need to be more consistent and more severe, but no more than for crimes against men.

Suggestions and comments:
There seems to be an inconsistency between the pro-chivalry and pro-equality biases of the questionnaire.
An alternate China where Mao and the Communists never came to power and Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek stayed in office until his death in 1979 (RL death was in 1975.) The present regime is naturally much less democratic and more militaristic than that of RL Taiwan.

I quite enjoyed doing this little questionnaire. Good for world-building!

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index: The City and District of Sherrington
Your nation's current year: 2023
Your nation's type of government: Constitutional monarchy
Would you like to receive a telegram updating you when your nation has been scored? Please!

Section One - Legally Enforceable Rights
1.Do women have the right to vote? Yes; the right of women to vote has never been impinged.
2.Do women have the right to drive? No, as cars are banned in Sherrington.
3. Do women have the right to freedom of religion? Yes - however, the Church of Sherrington (the established church, which is not compulsory) does not allow for female ordination.
4. Do women have the right to choose their own spouse? Yes, and legal protections exist to ensure that forced marriages are both annulled and investigated.
5. Is marital rape recognised as a crime? Yes, although it was not a statutory offence until later (a largely symbolic act of the High Council that gave additional stature to the common law, which had declared marital rape an offence in the 19th century).
6. Do married women have the right to own property? Yes.
7. Do women have the right to inherit?: Nobody has a right to inherit except, in cases of intestacy, the eldest child or surviving spouse of the deceased. Women are entitled to be considered in the wills of their families, but cannot assume inheritance if they are not beneficiaries.

Section Two - Punishment for abuse of women
N.B. It should be noted that where minimum sentences are mentioned, these are not prescribed in law (except in cases of murder, where a mandatory prison sentence must be imposed). The sentence is always at the discretion of the sentencing justice, who is aided by the Sentencing Guidelines (produced by an independent council of legal professionals and academics) and generally follows their structure; any deviation from the guidelines must be justified in open court. Thus, it is theoretically possible (albeit highly unlikely) for a rapist to receive a sentence of less than four years imprisonment - including a sentence that does not involve custody at all; the circumstances of each case are to be considered by the presiding justice.

1. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for a man murdering a woman in your nation?: The maximum punishment for murder is life imprisonment; the minimum punishment is 6 years imprisonment. If the offence can be demonstrably linked to the defendant's hostility to the victim's sex or gender, the sentencing justice is required to increase the sentence; when accounting for specifically murders of women by men, the average sentence is 35 years imprisonment.

2. What are maximum, minimum and mode average sentence for domestic violence by a man towards a woman in your nation? Domestic violence is not in itself a crime, but rather an aggravating factor for violent offences. Violent offences committed in a domestic context (which are again not distinguished according to sex or gender) are subject mandatory uplift in the sentence. The maximum sentence for any violent offence is four years imprisonment while the minimum is a financial penalty based on 250% of the defendant's weekly income. The most common sentence, when considering offences in a domestic context, is a medium level community order which will generally include psychological interventions as well as up to 300 hours of unpaid work.

3. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for coercive control by a man towards a woman in your nation? Again there are no distinctions between the sexes. The maximum punishment is four years imprisonment, while the minimum is a community order, which again will include psychological interventions and unpaid work. The most common sentence is a community order which includes 150 hours of unpaid work.

4. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for a man who rapes a woman in your nation? The maximum sentence is life imprisonment, the minimum is four years imprisonment. The most common sentence is nine years imprisonment.

5. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for sexual assault in your nation? The maximum sentence is ten years imprisonment, the minimum is a community order which will generally include psychological interventions and unpaid work. The most common sentence is a community order including around 200 hours of unpaid work.

6. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for incitement to Incel violence in your nation?: Incitement of violence is not specifically a crime. The provocation of immediate violence is the closest approximation in Sherringtonian law; the maximum sentence is a high level community order including 300 hours of unpaid work, and the minimum sentence is a discharge (i.e. the conviction will be noted on the defendant's record but no further action will be taken). The most common sentence is a financial penalty based on 175% of the defendant's weekly income.

7. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for the unlawful imprisonment of women?
Unlawful imprisonment is not a criminal offence but a tort; the victim is entitled to enforce her rights before the civil courts and receive financial compensation.

9. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for trafficking women in your nation?:
The maximum sentence is life imprisonment; the minimum is a high level community order including 350 hours of unpaid work. The average sentence is twelve years imprisonment.

Section Three - Government Stances on women's rights
1. Does your government support chivalry towards women? It's not a matter of government policy.
2. Does your government support gender equality? Yes; since the Sex Discrimination Act 1970 there has been a steady increase in legislative measures to improve gender equality including transparent pay laws and mandatory paid maternity and menstrual leave.
3. Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?: No.
4. Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they): No.
5. Does your government consult with women's rights advocates or experts when enacting relevant legislation?
Not as a matter of course, however prior to any legislative proposal being debated in council, legislators are obliged to conduct a consultative phase which invariably includes specific invitations to comment to relevant groups.
6. Are women's rights written into your nation's constitution? Sherrington does not have a constitution; however women's rights are specifically protected by statute.
7. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights on a national level? The government recognises that women's rights are human rights and has committed to the general protection of human rights, and the specific protection of women such that they are able to enjoy their rights to the full extent of the law.
8. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights internationally? Insofar as women's rights align with the government's environmental and labour protection plans. Sherrington is committed to refrain from trading with other nations whose environmental and labour policies do not align with its own, and a specific office of the foreign affairs ministry is dedicated to aiding other nations to improve their policies to facilitate trading with Sherrington.
9. Does your government allow tax-deductible donations to women's rights organisations? All donations to registered charitable organisations are tax-free. Reductions to a ratepayer's total taxable income based on charitable donations are only relevant if the ratepayer pays the High Income Tax, in which case they will inform the tax authorities on their self-assessment documents.

Section Four - women's employment rights
Has your nation ever had a female head of state: Yes, although rather than being referred to as Princesses of Sherrington (as male heads of state are referred to as Princes) they are universally known as "Ladies of the Sherringtonians". In total there have been six Ladies of the Sherringtonians; Lady Liliwen (reigned 681 - 701); Lady Tagwen (reigned 1141 – 1148); Lady Ariana (reigned 1509 - 1533); Lady Pavia (reigned 1610 – 1614); Lady Lettice (reigned 1615 – 1643); Lady Margery (reigned 1774 - 1823).
Has your nation ever had a female head of government: Yes; the first female High Reeve was Cicely Trevarthen (née Broome) who was elected in 1866. Since then, there have been five female heads of government; Matilda Herridge (elected 1882), Arabella Fitzwater (elected 1926); Madeline Chapman (elected 1964); Dorothy Eggleton (elected 1993), and Gwendolen Thomas (elected 2000).

Percentage of women in the population: 50.96%
Percentage of women in the following roles...
Senior military officers: Sherrington does not have a military.
School headteachers/principals: 74% of junior school heads are female; 62% of senior school heads are female.
Legislature or equivalent: 37% (20 female Councillors out of 53)
Judges: 52% of lower level justices are female; 34% of higher level justices are female.
Police officers: 30% are full-time police officers; around 45% are part-time. Women make up 61% of non-uniformed police roles.
Cabinet ministers: 20% (two female Reeves out of ten)
Senior academics: 38% of lecturers are female; of the twelve universities in Sherrington, seven have women in leadership positions (i.e. Honorary Chancellors or Vice-Chancellors)
Religious leaders: There are no female religious leaders within the Church of Sherrington.
Lawyers: 48%
Doctors: 47%
CEOs: 23%
Major landowners: The major landowners of Sherrington are the Princely House, the Church of Sherrington, and the District Council; only around 32% of land is in private ownership, with much of it being owned by cooperatives.

Section Five - Societal Attitudes
1. What percentage of the public believe women are equal to men?
2. What percentage of the public support chivalry?
3. What percentage of working-age males would feel comfortable having a female boss? The percentage varies on age; 52% of men between 18 and 24 were comfortable with having a female boss, while only 15% of men aged 55 and up said the same. 20% of men would prefer a female boss (compared with 28% of women) while 16% of either sex preferred a male boss. The remainder did not express a preference.
4. What percentage of voting age would support a female head of government?: Around 24% specifically prefer a female head of government; 32% specifically preferred a male. The remainder did not express a preference, stating that they would support an individual based on policies rather than sex.
5. What is the most common view on the sentences for serious crimes against women?: Among the general population it is felt that crimes against women, especially violent ones, deserve harsher punishments than they receive. This goes hand in hand with a pervasive belief that sentences in general are too lenient. Women who commit crime are far more likely to be perceived favourably, especially when they have committed violent crimes against their spouse.

1.Do women have the right to vote? Yes
2.Do women have the right to drive? Yes
3. Do women have the right to freedom of religion? Yes
4. Do women have the right to choose their own spouse? Yes, although some remote indigenous Donisian peoples still try to enforce arranged marriage, mostly for the sake of tradition. Many of these groups still take their daughter's opinion into account when choosing a spouse.

2. What are maximum, minimum and mode average sentence for domestic violence by a man towards a woman in your nation? Domestic violence cases may be punished by as little as probation up to five years in prison. The average is six months in prison and three years supervised probation as well as anger management treatments. However exceptions to the maximum can be made on a case by case basis depending on severity as well as whether the accused is a repeat offender.
3. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for coercive control by a man towards a woman in you nation? If the woman presses charges and has sufficient evidence the sentences are the same as abuse as coercive control is considered domestic violence within the borders of Belm Don.

However if the victim dies while being held captive, or as a result of medical issues stemming from their imprisonment the perpetrator will be charged with murder as well even if they have already began their sentence for domestic violence.
9. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for trafficking women in your nation?: Life in prison to the death penalty. There have not been enough cases to determine an average, only three cases and all three received the death penalty

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index: The Ephyrian Leagues
Your nation's current year: Undetermined, but early 21st century modern-tech.
Your nation's type of government: Most Ephyrian city-states are monarchies, but a few are aristocratic oligarchies.
Would you like to receive a telegram updating you when your nation has been scored? Yes please.

Adding this disclaimer myself, just to inform you that 'Ephyra' is a collection of city-states organised into a multitude of leagues based off of common ethnicity within the Ephyrian people group or centred around a religious site. There is a relatively coherent sense of 'Ephyrian culture' however which will be the framework and perspective from which I am answering most of these questions. Specific issues of legality may be more ambiguous as different city-states have different laws.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. Do women have the right to vote? No. Only adult freeborn male citizens have the right to vote and stand for office in the Ephyrian cities.

2. Do women have the right to drive? No. Female movement is typically controlled and so females are prohibited from operating a vehicle, with their male relatives being fined for an offence.

3. Do women have the right to freedom of religion? Implicitly yes. The Ephyrians have no word for religion as it is simply part of daily life. Ephyrian religion is polytheistic and so Ephyrians of the same 'religion' can worship very different gods, meaning there is essentially no barrier to a woman choosing to follow a different religion, although for social or practical reasons this may prove unworkable.

4. Do women have the right to choose their own spouse? No. Marriages in Ephyrian society are traditionally arranged by parents based on social criteria relating to a good match. A woman may name certain suitors she would believe to be a suitable husband, and practically speaking there is little reason not to choose one of those recommended, but final say on a woman's husband lies with her parents, primarily her father.

5. Is marital rape recognised as a crime? No. Rape in Ephyra is understood very differently culturally and interpreted according to particular legal conditions. To shorten the explanation considerably, either sex with a woman is licit or it is not. If it is licit, the use of force doesn't invalidate this. If it is illicit, her consent only means her involvement in an illicit act. It is always licit to have sex with one's wife, as the ritual exchange of marriage from father to husband is functionally a transfer of property and responsibility. A wife is expected to obey her husband in everything, including submission to sex. There is no understanding of refusal as an exercise of some 'right' but only as disobedience. A man has every right to bed his wife no matter her opinion and is further expected to punish her for disobeying him on the subject. Whether this is common is a different question since women are just as socialised and conditioned to their cultural norms and beliefs as men, and so they believe themselves to belong to their husband, believe that a man has every right to bed his wife, and so are generally willingly obedient. Neither Ephyrian men nor women share Western views on consent.

6. Do married women have the right to own property This depends on the city-state and has too many nuances within individual cities to provide a clear answer. In general property owned by a woman comes under the legal protection of her husband.

7. Do women have the right to inherit? Yes, although what they are given will obviously vary.

Section Two - Punishment for abuse of women
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for a man murdering a woman in your nation? Ephyrian law doesn't work based on this methodology, but rather a principle of retaliation in kind, blood money, or forgiveness. The blood price of a woman is not as high as that of a man. A man who is found guilty of murdering a freeborn citizen woman therefore has his fate determined by the family of the woman, and they may order him to pay the set blood price, they may forgive him, or they may demand his death in turn.

2. What are maximum, minimum and mode average sentence for domestic violence by a man towards a woman in your nation? A man is expected to punish a wife for disobedience and disrespect and so striking or beating a wife doesn't constitute a crime in and of itself. Unjustified beating however can lead to the woman being divorced from her husband and her family demanding compensation.

3. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for coercive control by a man towards a woman in you nation? A man is expected to control his wife so this isn't a crime at all.

4. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for a man who rapes a woman in your nation? If the woman is a slave he doesn't own, he pays damages to her owner. If she is a prostitute, he pays twice what she would ordinarily have charged for the act. If she is a foreign woman or other non-citizen, he pays according to the lawful set rate. If she is a freeborn citizen maiden, he may be killed, pay an equivalent bride price, be expected to marry her, or be raped himself by the woman's guardian. If she is a freeborn citizen married woman, he will be killed, pay appropriate damages, or be raped himself by the woman's guardian.

5. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for sexual assault in your nation? The penalty is worked out similarly to the above with respect to the woman's class and status.

6. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for incitement to Incel violence in your nation? Nothing.

7. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for the unlawful imprisonment of women? The penalty is worked out similarly to rape and sexual assault with respect to the woman's class and status. Female relatives however may be confined to the house by their male relatives legally.

9. What is the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for trafficking women in your nation? Death penalty if they are being illegally trafficked.

Section Three - Government Stances on women's rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. Does your government support chivalry towards women? Not exactly, since 'chivalry' as a Western knightly military tradition that morphed into general social conventions is not native to Ephyrian culture. The expression of Ephyrian traditionalism however, the gor kaleron (way of the ancestors), emphasises respectful treatment of women.

2. Does your government support gender equality? No.

3. Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)? Yes, but these vary from city to city.

4. Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they)? Yes, but these vary from city to city.

5. Does your government consult with women's rights advocates or experts when enacting relevant legislation? No.

6. Are women's rights written into your nation's constitution? No. Here it would be appropriate to mention that the idea of "women's rights" as some universally self-evident and unchangeable set of expectations never organically emerged in the Ephyrian philosophical tradition. They don't exist in Ephyra the sense that the very idea of "Women's Rights" as some transcendental reality, is false. "Women's rights" as merely what rights women have in a society is determined by that society, and so there is absolutely no framework in Ephyra for comparing what rights women do have to some fantasy standard that they allegedly should have. Ephyrians do not care what rights women in foreign countries have or don't have and they do not care about a foreigner's interpretation of what rights they should have.

7. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights on a national level? No, for the reason stated above.

8. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights internationally? No, for the reason stated above.

9. Does your government allow tax-deductable donations to women's rights organisations? No, for the reason stated above.

Section Four - women's employment rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
Has your nation ever had a female head of state? Some Ephyrian states have had queens, but no woman has ever been elected to the equivalent position in a non-monarchical state.

Has your nation ever had a female head of government? See above.

Percentage of women in the population: Around 50%.

Percentage of women in the following roles...

Senior military officers: 0% (prohibited)

School headteachers/principals: 3-5%

Legislature or equivalent: 0% (prohibited)

Judges: 0% (prohibited)

Police officers: 0% (prohibited)

Cabinet ministers: 0% (prohibited)

Senior academics: 1-2%

Religious leaders: Invalid category.

Lawyers: 0% (prohibited)

Doctors: 5-10%

CEOs: 1-2%

Major landowners: 10-20%

Section Five - Societal Attitudes
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. What percentage of the public believe women are equal to men? Nearly 0%. Equality as a general idea is considered to be absurd among the Ephyrians. Virtually all Ephyrians, men and women, believe women to be naturally inferior and subordinate to men.

2. What percentage of the public support chivalry? None, unless the gor kaleron is an acceptable substitute for that idea.

3. What percentage of working-age males would feel comfortable having a female boss? Very few. Women simply just aren't considered leaders. Respect to higher status women is always given on the basis that they are the wives and daughters of higher ranking men.

4. What percentage of voting age (in a democracy or a system with elites as voters) people, or people at the age at which a royal can accede to a monarchy (in a monarchy) would support a female head of government? Nearly 0%. Queens have generally always faced problems, and no woman is ever likely to be elected to lead anything in Ephyra.

5. What is the most common view on the sentences for serious crimes against women? See the Ephyrian retaliation procedure above.

Section Two - Punishment for abuse of women
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. What are the maximum, minimum and mode average sentences for a man murdering a woman in your nation?: We have private courts so answers may vary depending on court and severity of the crime. But a general murder, the most common sentence is 35 years mode, 20 years minimum, and 65 years maximum.

Section Three - Government Stances on women's rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1. Does your government support chivalry towards women? our government doesn't officially support that for both sides. We're libertarians, we believe in leaving people alone.

2. Does your government support gender equality? Officially yes, but the culture that has become Cascadia is largely a conservative one, and resembles 50s and 60s Americana aesthetics with the old Eco-Cascadian charm.

3.Are there any laws that only apply to women(if so what are they)?: None that I can think of.

4. Are there any laws that only apply to men(if so what are they): Same as above.

2. Does your government consult with women's rights advocates or experts when enacting relevant legislation? The government operates on an individual basis before passing legislation, so they can't pass a law without the individuals consent. All organized by independent companies that act as civilian agencies.
5. Are women's rights written into your nation's constitution? Yes. In the constitution, it reads that all individuals regardless of color, race or creed have the right to life, liberty, and property and all the rights that come from those.
6. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights on a national level? The government can't, and doesn't want to. "increasing rights" leads to tyranny as those rights conflict with others property or liberty. People here are free to do what they want (to an obvious point) regardless of their gender.
7. Has your government expressed a desire to improve women's rights internationally? We're semi-isolationist, so no.
8. Does your government allow tax-deductable donations to women's rights organisations? Taxation is theft. Do with that what you will.
