What are laws on these in your nation?
  • Perverts:
Legal, and unfortunately this is a common issue in the land in which many governments have tried to combat as the country modernizes.
  • Drunk Driving:
Illegal, strict punishment as most driving is for utility purposes in trucks, several thousand paw fine and license can be permanently suspended depending on severity.
  • Prostitutes:
Legal, not really frowned upon in Collie culture.
  • Murder:
Illegal, highly so. Very strict punishment, and more conservative leaning groups have pushed for even the death penalty. Murder is very uncommon in the country and very frowned upon.
  • Marijuana:
    Legal, same with mead.
  • Child Labor:
Case by case basis. The Colliewood has a culture of apprenticeship. Mothers teach daughters to read and write, and do maths at a young age, while fathers teach sons to farm and herd at a young age also. Several advocates have pushed for laws restricting child labor.
  • Emigration:
Legal. Most Collies do not Emigrate however, do to issues of racism, and the inability to uproot one's entire life with limited funding. Several Collies are well known to live in other countries, however.
  • Weapon ownership/keeping:
Legal, depends. Weapon ownership is not really tracked well due to the rural nature of the country, but most weapon ownership is strictly for farming or protection purposes. Collie folklore has many tales of bad things happening to those who wield arms in bad ways.
Conscripted collies are not allowed to keep their weapon after service, and must return it to the defense force.
  • Automobile ownership/keeping:
Legal. Most regular people do not own cars and commute in town by foot or bike, while farmers own trucks to move produce between villages. Several larger towns have complete car bans. The nation wasn't really designed for cars much like other nations, despite how it's not very dense.
  • Slavery:
Owning any Collie as a slave or trading them is strictly illegal, with harsh punishments. Owning humans as slaves however was only recently banned a few governments ago pushed by human rights orgs and the small human population. However, historical instances of this kind of slavery is very rare.
  • Public protest:
Legal, exact rules vary by shire and government. Public protest in support of harmful extremist views like fascism is usually frowned upon and or fined.
  • Telling a peace officer to fuck off:
Legal but you look like a massive dick.
  • Self-defense against a peace officer
Also legal but instances of this occuring are rare.
  • Deceptive advertising:
Unfortunately legal, and some large firms are known for their scummy advertising.
  • Software piracy:
Legal, the government simply hasn't caught up to it yet, and most people are not tech literate.
  • insulting the leader:
Legal, but frowned upon in tribal Collie culture and if it is defamatory or untrue you may be fined.

What are laws on these in your nation?
  • Perverts: Sexuality is considered a strictly private issue. Those who fixate on the actual or perceived sexual inclinations of others are condemned as insufferable creeps and are generally ostracized. As such, very few people tend to 'go there'.
  • Drunk Driving:Offenders are typically forgiven their first offense; repeat offenders have their licenses revoked and vehicles impounded by the State.
  • Prostitutes:Frowned upon, but not illegal at the national level. Localities may enact their own legislation.
  • Murder:Punishable by death, exceptions rare.
  • Marijuana:Not legislated against by the State. Localities preempted from interfering in private settings in any case involving recreational activity.
  • Child Labor:Children may be employed with parental consent after reaching the age of 16.
  • Emigration:Banned. Appeals may be considered on case-by-case basis, but are typically ignored.
  • Weapon ownership/keeping:No restrictions.
  • Automobile ownership/keeping:State-approved training and licensure required.
  • Slavery:A strictly foreign concept.
  • Public protest:Unusual but not unheard of. No national policies for or against, but localities may make their own laws on the matter.
  • Telling a peace officer to fuck off:There is no such thing as a 'peace officer'. Impersonators of the National Police, who maintain local garrisons, are severely punished.
  • Self-defense against a peace officer N/A
  • Deceptive advertising:Banned and severely punished.
  • Software piracy:Piracy of foreign software is ignored, and domestic software production is strictly controlled and monitored; piracy of domestic software unheard of due to the nature of the domestic industry.
  • insulting the leader:
Varies, but the response is determined on a case-by-case basis. Wanton disrespect toward any person is at best shunned and frowned upon, and at worst a criminal offense for which corporeal punishment is typically employed.

Laws...?

Oh you mean:

"Raaaarrgh..rrrr Rghh RAAAAHH!"

Our First Citizens are lions, they don't vote or make laws as they et the last lawyer years ago. The 'Best Black Mane' contest I imagine is our equivalent.

What strange notions and customs occur amongst the quaint savage Calorie's in the Mists outside SW Rhodesia.
I suppose we should colonise and try and uplift them from their Plastic Age primitiveness...

On second thoughts... why bother- better just leave them to it!

New Foreign Policy.... "No Foreign Policies"

What are laws on these in your nation?
  • Perverts: This is an extremely vague term, even when defined as "a person whose sexual behavior is regarded as abnormal and unacceptable". It generally varies across the constituent realms, but it is probably not illegal unless such behavior involves children, lack of consent, extreme pain/body mutilation, or death.
  • Drunk Driving: Illegal
  • Prostitutes: Legal
  • Murder: Illegal
  • Marijuana: Legal, unless used by a minor
  • Child Labor: Illegal
  • Emigration: Legal
  • Weapon ownership/keeping: Illegal to own/keep guns unless one is in the police force or military (they are to be forfeited when leaving the profession/discharged from service
  • Automobile ownership/keeping: Legal
  • Slavery: Illegal
  • Public protest: Legal
  • Telling a peace officer to fuck off: Legal
  • Self-defense against a peace officer Illegal (resisting arrest is not considered a crime, although actions committed while resisting arrest, such as assault or property damage, may be considered a crime)
  • Deceptive advertising: Illegal
  • Software piracy: Illegal
  • insulting the leader: Legal
