Description:
Safiloa is happy to announce to the nations of the world, that the infrastructural repairs and improvements over the last two years for the protection and defense of Safiloa’s main island's coastline have been finally completed; Of particularly relevant note are the improvements made toward the ambassadorial districts. The damages incurred by the devastating monsoonal cyclone known as Mariamman in 2020 caused an incredible amount of damage and killed 82.436 people - the worst national disaster ever recorded in Safiloa, which is why all embassies were evacuated and had to be redesigned. (May Jurvan allow them to be remembered always). Though COVID-19 did slow repairs, the construction never fully halted, and thanks to the diligence, hard work, love, passion, and dedication of the Safiloan people, the capital of Ponaiga and her neighboring districts were able to be repaired to its current stellar condition.
With our new precautions, facilities, and defenses, Safiloa is now excited to reassert her place in the international community and reestablish diplomatic ties with the world and host their illustrious embassies. The following includes some information on Safiloa.

Official name: The Abode of Love, The United Communal-Republics of Safiloa
Notable Government ideologies: Eco-Socialism, Syndicated Agrarian-Agriculturalism, Communalism, Altruistic-Hedonism, Theodemocracy, Anti-Slavery, Vegetarian/Veganism, Pacifism (unless threatened), Pro-Animal/Children/Women/Disability Rights
Capital: Ponaiga
Official language: Sokhainean (Austronesian-Persian creole)
National religions: Doroštin (Mazdakite Zoroastrianism), Pushpambara Jainism (Yapaniya branch), Fomba Gasy animism
Safiloa is a pacifist, syndicate, and agriculturalist-leaning eco-socialist semi-theocratic nation that values democracy, community empowerment, equity, freedom, and equality. Safiloa's main religion, Doroštin, branched off of 6th-century Persian Mazdakism - which was a pacifist, vegetarian, altruistic-hedonistic agrarian-agriculturalist movement that was eventually banned and persecuted by Khosrau's Orthodox Zoroastrian Persia and his priesthood and nobility after the presumptive heir, Kawus, was usurped and executed, following the death of their father Kavadh. Safiloa dissolved its military after the public successfully fended off a coup d'etat after British independence in the early 1960s, with the exception of the gendarmerie and the coastguard.
Safiloa, located between the Arabian, Zanj, and Indian seas, and surrounding the Safijeran Sea, in the Northern Indian Ocean, is an archipelago, consisting of 180 mostly small islands, islets, and atolls and partitioned into 24 communal republics and is home to a diverse ethnocultural mixture, between Pre-Islamic Persian, South Indian, Swahili, Somali, Austronesian, and European culture. Safiloa is estimated to currently have a population of about 4.28 million. Sokhainean or Sisoħeini, a Middle Persian-based creole language is the lingua franca in most of Safiloa and acts as a second language for over 60% of the population, though between 8-12% are expected to still be illiterate in Sokhainean - mostly due to the recent infrastructural damage. Safiloa is also home to more than 350 endemic flora and fauna due to the islands’ relatively long geographic isolation, including several notable relic populations, namely:
The Giant Valakilean tortoise - one of the largest tortoises, the Crab-eating Bat - a beach-burrowing semi-flightless bat, the Saïenean Griffin Eagle - an eagle that notably gallops on all four limbs, the Vebokai - an arboreal crocodilian, and the Mushoko - a medium-size flightless ratite that lives in small roaming bands in the dense cloud forest of the Burañnoan valley.
Safiloa is culturally, religiously, and politically characterized by the waves of immigrants that came to settle the islands.
This includes the Austronesians (since the 100s CE), pacifist Persian Mazdakite refugee descendants (since 550 CE), Tuluva salt merchant guild and librarian monk colonies (900 CE), and various Zanj and Ethiopian-descended Maroons (700 CE - 1700s CE), who escaped from the Indian Ocean Slave Trade and both formed their own stockaded mountain farm-based settlements as well as intermarried with the other already established inhabitants.
Safiloa has a Tetrarchic Directorship governmental system, in which there are four Directors, called Gohuls, each one with an entirely different electoral method process, and with a different Chief Ministry, and various corresponding sub-ministries.
The four Gohulian Directorial Chief Ministries include:

The four Gohulian Directorial Chief Ministries include:
- Joy - Chief Ministry of Entertainment, Festivities, Sporting events, Cultural events, etc.
- Discernment - Chief Ministry of Financial, Justicial, & Social Affairs,
- Preservation - Chief Ministry of Infrastructure, Energy, & Health
- Comprehension - Chief Ministry of Science, Technology, & Information
There are also seven highly autonomous albeit Inter-Directorial ministries:- The Salara - Ministry of Coastguard forces,
- The Pešega - Ministry of Education,
- The Boluana - Ministry of the Gendarmerie,
- The Borvena - Ministry of Diplomatic Relations,
- The Kardana - Ministry of Tourism, Agriculture, Business, & Industry,
- The Dastura - Ministry of Justice, and
- The Kodaga - Ministry of Youth
The Inter-Directorial Department of Diplomatic Relations, known locally as "Borvena" offers THREE locations for foreign diplomatic missions to establish their embassies or consulates. Each has its own benefits, so please consider your choice carefully before deciding.
The Barjan Bisbani - Located in the centrally located Downtown Ponaiga, this 30-story architectural masterpiece of a crescent-shaped skyscraper is covered in vertical hanging gardens and despite its innercity location feels like a hidden canopy. Several floors are purely dedicated to ambassadorial missions, while on other floors one could find retail stores, movie theatres, a spa, a private K-12 international school, international restaurants, bars & cafés, art galleries & museums. On the ground floor circled by the Barjani Bisbani, lies Safiloa's largest flower fountain garden and the Thomas Sankara Ambassadorial Conference & Events Center - the main venue for all things diplomacy related. This would be a perfect location for a small yet dynamic embassy or consulate that would value the flexibility offered by its centrally-located location, and access to other embassies. Salimini International Airport - Safiloa's only international airport can be reached by train within 45 minutes.
The maximum number of diplomatic staff (other than the ambassador) here is 6, the maximum number of service staff here is 4, and the maximum number of security staff here is 4.The Ominimara - Located in beautiful West Ponaiga, far outside of the core city limits of Ponaiga proper, and close to several foreign residential communities. The Ominimara garden park floats gently atop a shallow estuarial lake, specifically designed to limit the tidal overflow of the Hapekhoro river. Please note that atop the Ominimara one can hardly notice movement after a while. A simple 60-minute electric tram ride to the East from here brings you back to Downtown Ponaiga and its busy streets, while a 20-minute tram ride North brings you to the beautiful white sandy beaches in Faïakigani.
This location offers embassies more room, privacy, and the possibility of an additional annex of your nation's choice!
Possible annexes may include a covered garden representative of your nation's flora and beauty, an art gallery, a small café or restaurant, a linguistic or cultural exchange center, a statue or monument, a helipad, or even a minigolf course! Salimini International Airport can be reached by train within an hour.
The maximum number of diplomatic staff (other than the ambassador) here is 22, the maximum number of service staff here is 12, and the maximum number of security staff here is 14.The Welcome Plaza on the Island of Kambanu - The Island of Kambanu is fully managed by the government-owned for-profit Kambanu Island Tourism Authority (KITA), an experimental institution that only recently was granted its charter. Kambanu island, originally a desolate, dry, and completely undeveloped little island with few natives or economy to speak of was mostly known for its untapped pristine beaches, beautiful desert island sunsets, and the mysterious Arattan cave palaces and chambers, which are now mostly unused after most of the Arattan people have chosen to assimilate and live in cities. The ancient Arattans had built a huge subterranean network of tunnels, chambers, sea-grotto algal farms, and palaces that served as communal homes to at one point thousands of Arattan people. KITA was tasked by the government to develop the island into a profitable tourist paradise and was granted special authority to bend laws a little to allow for more dynamic enterprise and entrepreneurship, including the allowance of dairy, eggs, and honey - all of which are strictly illegal in Safiloa proper as well as granting the island Duty-Free and Visa-Free status. All international flights must land first at Salimini International Airport on the main island, but Kambanu Domestic Airport is only a 20-minute quick plane ride after that, often without any layover needed. Kambanu's Domestic Airfield offers a couple of daily trips to and fro the main Safiloan island of Mekhaïana, except for Fridays and Tuesdays.
The Welcome Plaza is an underground ex-communal palatial chamber home, possibly one of the largest ever explored on Kambanu. The Cave entrance of the Welcome Plaza is within walking distance of the Port of Kambanu and its eco-friendly ferry terminal and is only a quick tram ride away from Kambanu's domestic airport. This is the perfect location for an embassy if your primary objective is to provide services to the tourists and investors of your nation visiting Safiloa, as Kambanu is expected to become the main tourist attraction of Safiloa. The maximum number of diplomatic staff (other than the ambassador) here is 8, the maximum number of service staff here is 10, and the maximum number of security staff here is 8.
Kambanu Island Tourism Authority makes no claim on the safety conditions of living and working inside of a thousand-year-old man-made cavern, and does and will not assume any liability in any event.
Only firearms within the pistol category are permitted, and only under the sole condition that they stay within the boundary of the ambassadorial domain. All firearms are illegal within Safiloa and it is the foreign national government's responsibility to ensure that all handheld firearms stay within the confines of an embassy. All personal vehicles are likewise forbidden in Safiloa. A private taxi (including "sea" and "heli" taxi) collectivist service may be used, however, most Safiloan nationals use bicycles, buses, trams, trains, and ferries to get around. Animal consumption and forced animal exploitation are considered especially egregious crimes. Matrimony is considered a betrayal of the natural human condition by both the religious and political establishment of Safiloa, please ensure that your ambassador is made aware of all of our customs and laws in this regard.
