The Amigosan military hasn't used tanks for several hundred years. The Imperial Defense Force currently uses Cataphract (mechs) in a similar combat role. The two most common are;
Hasta Recon Cataphract

Primary purpose: Long-range reconnaissance, hit and run attacks, and indirect fire support.

Magnus Heavy Assault Cataphract

Speed: 54 km/h
Armaments: 2 twin pulse cannons, 2 twin heavy pulse cannons, 4 electromagnetic rail guns, 2 missile batteries.
Primary purpose: As a vanguard to penetrating enemy defenses though because of it's massive firepower is equally capable in defensive actions.
