What is Zeleniya?
Zeleniya is a country on the North American continent bordered by the United States from the Northwest and South and Canada from the East. Boasting a population of well-over 22 million people and one of the largest highly developed economies in the world, the country is a melting pot shared between it's old Russian colonial roots, it's American and Canadian neighbors, countless generations of immigrants from Eastern Europe and East Asia and the generational cultures of the tech-centric, electro-pop-loving new and the folk-centric, traditional-loving old. It is only in Zeleniya where you will find unique cuisine such as Chili-Cheese Borscht, Four-Loko Kvass, Rye-Dogs, and Orange Chicken Shashlik and it is in Zeleniya where the cosmopolitan might of the big city is balanced in serenity with the beautiful might of mother nature. From the bustling, vibrant neon lights of Yelizovo to the beautiful majesty of the Kal'ya National Park and everything in between, Zeleniya has it all!
The country has an economy estimated at a nominal GDP of around $1.3 trillion as of 2022, or approximately $60,000 per capita. Zeleniya boasts one of the highest rates of democratic participation in the world, along with being very highly developed, having an HDI of 0.948. Through a series of telecommunication reforms programs, one of the highest average internet download/upload speed in the world, marked by it's widespread, universal availability of 5G data + wifi. The country also has a world-renowned universal healthcare system and a highly renowned and competitive educational system, from pre-K to post-doctorate school. Despite it's huge size, Public Transportation in Zeleniya is also highly widespread, particularly in the metropolises such as the capital Yelizovo where one of the world's largest subway transit systems exists. Culturally as well, Zeleniya is world-renowned, in particular being home to the funky, vibrant beats of Z-Pop (an industry worth around US$ 4 billion), breaking onto the world stage starting in the 1990s with legendary acts such as Skatman John, Elektro-65, K5, eeee-girls and countless others. Not only Z-Pop, but also Z-Drama with an ongoing golden age for the Z-Drama film industry having started in 2015. In addition, through it's very unique policing system, Zeleniya is one of the safest countries in the world with very low rates of petty and violent crime as well as even lower rates of ilicit goods trafficking. For the foreseeable future, however, the Republic of Zeleniya faces challenges in it's aggressive policy against Communism, far-left extremism and other terroristic ideologies, increasing cynicism with it's newer generations, a rapidly aging population that's set to get older over the next several years and increased cultural competition with it's fellow Slavic kin across the ocean in Eastern Europe.

Zeleniya is one of the safest countries in the world, attributed in part to it's unique way of enforcing the general law and order as well as it's willingness to take necessary steps to ensure that criminous acts will not occur. With that being said, policing is provided 24/7 for all embassies, thus only up to 25 security personnel are allowed for an embassy.
In addition, weapons such as high-powered assault rifles, sub-machine guns, semi-automatics such as pistols, swords, and non-lethal weapons are allowed, provided that they are brought for the sole intention of defending the embassy, that the weapons are registered in Zeleniya with the Zeleniyan National Police Force, inspected by members of the Zeleniyan National Police Force and tracked in the National Firearms Database. Overly-powerful weapons such as Rocket-Propelled Grenades, Nuclear Weapons/WMDs-in-general, and Missile Installations are not permitted.
Espionage equipment is NOT allowed within the country, unless there is explicit permission given by the Government through a clear arrangement. This is due in part to the firm posture Zeleniya has taken against espionage, particularly by communist states such as the Soviet Union and China over the past 70 years. Discovery of such equipment will automatically render an expulsion of that nation's embassy for an indefinite period of time.
Any laws that my citizens should keep watch for?
YES. Zeleniya is not your typical western-centric society. No, it is rather unique in the norms established by it's laws. It is this system that makes it have one of the lowest rates of violent and petty crime in the world, so low that anybody can walk out at night and not feel any bit of danger whatsoever, even without any police around for miles on end.
The Death Penalty is much harsher in Zeleniya than in most western countries, as it is usually carried out either by hanging or firing squad, whichever one is available first-hand. Various high crimes are punishable by the death, the most notorious of which are murder, rape, terrorism, treason, mutiny, insurrection, robbery that results in the death of a person, perjury that results in the execution of an innocent person, kidnapping with the intent of murder, and most publicly known, drug trafficking. Anyone caught with any amount of drugs over the amnesty limit (which is an amount far too small to cause an overdose but still land the person with significant jail time) will be automatically subject to the death penalty, whether they are caught at the port of entry or at their address in Zeleniya. No matter the nationality or citizenship status, anyone that is found doing these listed high crimes and other high crimes not listed WILL face the death penalty. To deter potential drug traffickers, it is also common practice to warn entrants flying into Zeleniya that the death penalty will be served to anyone that is found with drugs.
In addition, corporal punishment is also common place in Zeleniya, one of the major factors that contributes to one of the lowest rates of petty and violent crime in the world. Almost all corporal punishment is done in the form of caning by the rattan cane. Originating with old Russian colonial law, caning is done with one of two rattan canes: the thin cane [minor pain bruising] for academic discipline and minor infractions/petty crimes and the thick cane [moderate-severe pain, significant bruising] for more serious crimes. Federal law lists the amount of times someone must be caned for violating a given law. For instance, public urination will result in ten lashes of the thin cane and sexual assault will result in three lashes of the thick cane. Any person found violating the law will almost be subject to a mixture of a fine and whatever lashes of the thick or thin cane is required for atonement.
In the event of a law violation, detainment, sentencing, imprisonment or execution, the embassy of the foreigner's home country will immediately be notified of every occurrence in the process. Provided that any citizens that enter into Zeleniya do not cause or run into any problems with law enforcement, they will NOT be arbitrarily mishandled and will, in fact, be very safe and in good hands.

All embassies will be in the highly urbanized and historic Mezhdunarodnyy Kvartal (Международный кvартал, Interantional Quarter), where international countries have kept their embassies since the early days of mid-19th century Zeleniya.
