The culture of a country can define how it is viewed by the international community. However, this culture can shift over time, such as the US having periods like The Roaring 20's and the counter-culture of the 80's and 90's. So, what periods define your country, and how has this shifted over time?
Starting in 1900 and ending somewhere in 1925, the country was in a period known as the Level Period, with the period being marked by a steady consistency and peace within the nation. The culture of this period was very modest, with clothing, architecture and performance art being very grounded in reality and focused more on the everyday lives of people rather than more abstract concepts.
Influenced by the Roaring 20's in America, the next period in Duotonan culture was known as the Golden Period, the name being taken from the colour schemes of the designs used in the period. This period did not end due to the Great Depression since it didn't affect the country; it instead lasted all the way until the end of WW2. The culture was very similar to the period in America, however film and theatre were more open to being more avant garde and tackling more challenging topics.
After WW2, Duotona entered the Heated Period until 1975. After WW2, the country became more wary of the politically divided world around it, and it was reflected in the culture of the time period. The art and architecture became more fluid and psychedelic, and the film and theatre (or what was left of it as theatre grew more unpopular) became more conscious and politically charged.
After this period, Duotona entered a harsh military dictatorship until 2005. Culture didn't really exist during this period, as the focus came towards putting materials into the military, leaving the people with not much to work with. The culture that did exist was primarily a continuation of the Heated Period, now with the political media like film and now music having a more anti-government and anti-war rhetoric behind it.
The current period arrived after Duotona was liberated and lasts to this very day. It is known as the Rebirth Period, named after the rebirth of democracy and productivity in the nation. The culture involves combining styles from Duotona with more western styles from the 80's onwards, as to catch up with what Duotona missed out on during the dictatorship. Film and music became more abstract, but less in its meanings and more in its visuals and sounds. People more focused on emotion rather than direct messages.
