Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? Sure
Please confirm you are a human nation! Yup, most definitely.
You may request a breakdown of your score via TG once it is processed. Note that any requests for breakdowns or additional information are only processed when the queue of submissions is empty.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to marry or form civil unions with those of the same sex? Yes
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? Yes, adoption is legal if they're married (the same applies for hetero couples); raising children as a godparent etc. is also permitted even if unmarried.
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? Yes
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people? Not on that basis/reasoning. However, most (non-essential) businesses are ofc allowed to withhold goods or services from basically anyone they please based on domestic authority laws, so there's a certain grey area.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? Yes. However, proof must be provided that the applicant has undergone private counselling regarding the matter (this does not include details of the counselling in question). Beyond that it's just a formality.
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? Kinda; the LGBT+ scene is fairly organized in the more urban regions in the south and there exists a sizable and very well connected Civil & Human Rights Watch. In addition, the government has started introducing openly LGBT+ supportive policies to its own youth organizations since 2000.

Section Two - Government Stances on LGBT+ Issues
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are LGBT+ topics covered in your nation's education system? Please give details. All state-run universities also celebrate Pride Month.
2/ Are LGBT+ voices taken into account when legislation is being developed and debated within your nation's legal system? When it comes to legislation directly involving LGBT+ matters experts/members of the community will most likely get invited to the princely and popular council as advisors. 9/ Does your government allow discussion and debate of LGBT+ issues within its legislature? Yes
10/ Does your government recognise LGBT+ charities as valid and allow tax-deductable donations? They're subject to government scrutiny as every other organization but if their cause is found to be fair and in fact charitable then yes, ofc.

1/ Do your nation's LGBT+ citizens have access to specialist sexual health services? Yes

6/ What your nation's age of majority when making decisions regarding HRT and SRS? 18

7/ If applicable to your dialect(s), are your nation's citizens generally accepting of someone's pronouns when they transition? Voipel's national language features a 'non-specific' or 'all-including' grammatical gender which is usually used; neo-pronouns are not generally accepted.
8/ Are the major religious groups within your nation generally accepting of LGBT+ people and their lifestyles? Most are definitely 'more reserved' about that topic but open hostility and intolerance towards LGBT+ people has been declared unacceptable by all major religious organizations in the nation.
9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? They're pretty common, although sometimes out of mere practicality.
10/ What are the opinions on LGBT+ issues from your nation's academia? While some more critical voices exist, the academic climate is by and large very pro LGBT+ with some prominent figures being part of the community themselves. The academic support tends to be more moderate in nature though.

8/ Are there prominent politicians or public servants who are openly LGBT+? Yes, the most prominent being Andrey, brother of Voipel's reigning monarch Grand Prince Timofey. Andrey is happily married to another man and played an important part in promoting LGBT+ acceptance in the more conservative portions of Voipelian society.
9/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ voices within your nation's ruling party? Not really applicable (see 5.6), but there certainly are pro-LGBT+ voices in the national government, even more as members of the councils and some as part of the nobility, including the royal family, as seen above.
10/ Are LGBT+ people permitted to run for election or your nation's equivalent political process? Are they permitted to lead the nation? They're permitted to run for election and get summoned to the highest positions of government. 9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? Very prevalent, though this actually has nothing to do with LGBT+, but rather a cost-cutting measure that dates back to the 1970s

P.S. No, there are no Morbius references, so don't bother asking.

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index (usually does not include pretitle) Oskenia
Your nation's current year 2022
Your nation's IC population Approx. 12m
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? Yes
Please confirm you are a human nation! Yes
You may request a breakdown of your score via TG once it is processed. Note that any requests for breakdowns or additional information are only processed when the queue of submissions is empty. Sure, go for it

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to marry or form civil unions with those of the same sex? Yes.
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? Typically not. Oskenia believes that a strong nuclear family and traditional family values are necessary for a child to succeed in a home. Adoption may be requested, but many of these requests are denied. It is typically frowned upon for gay couples to adopt daughters, and for lesbian couples to adopt sons. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule, and if the couple proves to the court that they are capable and willing to take care of a child, they may do so. There is no formal law banning adoption by LGBT+ persons.
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? "Hate speech" is an extremely complex definition and therefore is typically non-prosecutable under freedom of speech legislation. Anti-discrimination laws exist to protect LGBT+ persons just as they protect everyone else.
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people? No, with extremely small religious exceptions.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? This process can be difficult if the individual is not transitioning medically, as the antiquated policy makes it difficult for those without a transition surgery to request a documentation change. This has, however, been heavily protested and many are calling for an updated process that makes this more painless.
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? Yes.
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest? Yes, absolutely.
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online? Yes, absolutely.
9/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected from discrimination in the workplace, during education, and while using public services? Yes.
10/ Are your nation's trans citizens specifically banned from participating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity? If the individual has already finished puberty, they are barred from national and international competition. There are "open" competitions that encompass all identities fairly, but after extreme scrutiny from female rights groups, the issue of trans women in competition became a pressing issue.

Section Two - Government Stances on LGBT+ Issues
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are LGBT+ topics covered in your nation's education system? Please give details. Yes, after middle school. Sex-education is an optional course in 9th grade.
2/ Are LGBT+ voices taken into account when legislation is being developed and debated within your nation's legal system? Yes, as civilian overseers in the Senate may be any identity, race, religion, or sex. The government specifically seeks out a broad spectrum of overseers in order to make the legal process as transparent as possible.
3/ Does your nation take refugees from other countries who are persecuted on the basis of their sexual or gender identity? Yes, this is a specific mission of the Military Humanitarian Command.
4/ Does your nation's armed forces (or equivalent) allow LGBT+ people entry? Yes, to some degree. Soldiers are expected to perform all duties expected of them upon enlistment, including extensive mental and psychological screenings. Occasionally LGTBQ+ enlistees are denied due to medical or psychological flags. This is never indicative of their personal decisions, merely a measure of their mental health.
5/ If yes, are they permitted to be open about their gender or sexual identity? Yes.
6/ Does your government recognize "X" or an equivalent non-binary gender identity on official documentation? No. On official documentation, the options must be male or female, regardless of the person's current identity. This is mainly because of bureaucracy that refuses to change the documentation issuance process.
7/ Does your nation's legal system recognize the "trans panic" and/or "gay panic" defence(s) as valid? Absolutely not.
8/ Does your government allow pride flags to be flown alongside the national flag at official events and ceremonies? Yes.
9/ Does your government allow discussion and debate of LGBT+ issues within its legislature? Yes, it is encourages.
10/ Does your government recognize LGBT+ charities as valid and allow tax-deductible donations? Yes.

Section Three - Healthcare:
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Do your nation's LGBT+ citizens have access to specialist sexual health services? Yes.
2/ (If applicable) Which aspects of gender transition are covered by your nation's healthcare system? None. The universal Oskenian healthcare system extends to necessary, lifesaving procedures and some extended services. Transitioning is not seen as a life-threatening or medically necessary operation, and is therefore not covered by the taxpayer.
3/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and/or sexual reassignment surgery (SRS)? Yes.
4/ Are your nation's trans citizens required to go through "real life experience" (RLE) before having access to treatment? No.
5/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to import their own medication for the purposes of hormone replacement therapy (HRT)? Yes.
6/ What your nation's age of majority when making decisions regarding HRT and SRS? After the age of 18. Minors may begin the process at age 16 with extensive therapy and legal documentation to ensure that they are of sound mind and body to undergo a life-altering procedure.
7/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to puberty blockers? If so, from what age are they available? See above.
8/ Is pre and post-transition physical and mental healthcare available to your nation's trans citizens? Yes. Mental healthcare is generally covered by the universal system, and is encouraged for use with all citizens.
9/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to other gender-affirming healthcare and resources? Yes.
10/ Are medical professionals or teaching staff required to "out" LGBT youth to their parents if they are below the age of majority? Yes, in a very respectful and gradual way in order to prevent trauma on all sides. Typically his "outing" is supportive and the professionals provide information on how to safely and comfortably choose the child's new identity.

Section Four - Societal Attitudes
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex marriage? 74% (est.)
2/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex adoption? 32% (est.)
3/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support peoples' right to transition? 70% (est.)
4/ Is there a taboo or stigma surrounding the discussion of LGBT+ issues in your nation? Only in children's spaces. In general adult conversation it is entirely typical.
5/ Are LGBT+ citizens in your nation commonly subjected to discrimination online and/or in person? No.
6/ If pride parades or similar occur in your nation, are they met with counter-marches or other resistance? Yes, from very small, very insignificant groups.
7/ If applicable to your dialect(s), are your nation's citizens generally accepting of someone's pronouns when they transition? Yes, although it's hard to answer this question because of Oskenia's language system.
8/ Are the major religious groups within your nation generally accepting of LGBT+ people and their lifestyles? Yes. The Catholic Church, the largest religious group in Oskenia, generally remains supportive to the extent of their religious convictions. A large amount of mental health centers are Catholic-run and operated. Some protestant sects and groups are much more vocal about their oppositions.
9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? Growing in popularity. Due to expense, many "family" bathrooms are being repurposed into all-encompassing "neutral" bathrooms.
10/ What are the opinions on LGBT+ issues from your nation's academia? Positive.

Section Five - Media and Political Representation
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? Yes, the grand majority are. Typically very popular considering the majority of them are national reporters and actors.
2/ Are there prominent anti-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? Not prominent. Just a few that are members of fringe groups. Typically these people are extremely unpopular and frowned upon in society.
3/ Are there prominent LGBT+ role models for young people displayed in your nation's media? Yes.
4/ Are LGBT+ people able to see relatable characters in your nation's prominent works of fiction? Recently, yes—there has been a larger focus on inclusiveness and support in new publications and productions.
5/ Does support for LGBT+ people vary greatly depending on the region/state you live in? Do laws differ greatly? Laws relatively stay the same, although the mostly-muslim state of Tunisia (86% Islamic) has had some upsets, typically led once again by very small radical fringe groups. Anti-discrimination and protection laws passed in the mid 1990s largely mitigated this. The grand majority of Tunisia's residents are essentially apathetic, and there have been some famous LGBT+ Oskenians from Tunisia.
6/ Do explicitly pro-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? Oskenia does not have official political parties.
7/ Do explicitly anti-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? See above.
8/ Are there prominent politicians or public servants who are openly LGBT+? Yes, but they are regional and state representatives. Only two Legislarians are openly LGBT+.
9/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ voices within your nation's ruling party? Once again, there are no official government parties under Oskenia's unitary parliamentary system.
10/ Are LGBT+ people permitted to run for election or your nation's equivalent political process? Are they permitted to lead the nation? There has never been an LGBT+ Lögmadura (leader), considering the Lögmadura's life tenure, but it could happen in the future. There is no law preventing it.

(OPTIONAL) - More information

Oh it's finally up

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index (usually does not include pretitle)
Your nation's current year 2050 (please score Amenria anyways, doubt technological conditions disqualify it)
Your nation's IC population 4,137,947,347
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? Only if it's convenient for you, please, wouldn't want to needlessly increase you workload.
Please confirm you are a human nation! Human dominated, but even vampires don't have reproductive differences ffrom humans, so please score Amenria.

No
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? No
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? Depends on how you define hate speech. Normally, the T in the acronym are protected since they've already gone through the necessary surgery to be counted as the opposite gender, which includes them in gender equality laws.
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people? Yes, except the T.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? They do, free of charge. One document typically takes 3-5 work days, so it would depend on how many documents the individual needs to change.
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? No
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest? -
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online? They're held to the same level of freedom as any person. The government usually just stays away from trying to censor citizens, but justifying LGB would fall under elicitation to commit a crime.
9/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected from discrimination in the workplace, during education, and while using public services? Technically, since one cannot tell for sure from looks alone, they would for the last of the three, but it might show in the first two, so no to those.
10/ Are your nation's trans citizens specifically banned from participating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity? No, but they need to go through more biological transformations aside from their genitals, including bone structure, muscle mass, and so on to keep things fair.

Section Two - Government Stances on LGBT+ Issues
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are LGBT+ topics covered in your nation's education system? Please give details. Schools generally don't talk about them, but a teacher is allowed to discuss such topics with discretion. Most likely to come up in sociology, anthropology, or religion classes.
2/ Are LGBT+ voices taken into account when legislation is being developed and debated within your nation's legal system? No, except for the T, in which case it would be treated as input from any other demographic.
3/ Does your nation take refugees from other countries who are persecuted on the basis of their sexual or gender identity? No, except for the T, and even then it barely takes any refugees in the first place.
4/ Does your nation's armed forces (or equivalent) allow LGBT+ people entry? See above answer
5/ If yes, are they permitted to be open about their gender or sexual identity? -
6/ Does your government recognise "X" or an equivalent non-binary gender identity on official documentation? No.
7/ Does your nation's legal system recognise the "trans panic" and/or "gay panic" defence(s) as valid? Only the latter, the former might be rejected on a case-by-case bases.
8/ Does your government allow pride flags to be flown alongside the national flag at official events and ceremonies? No.
9/ Does your government allow discussion and debate of LGBT+ issues within its legislature? Yes, but they hardly, if ever, come up.
10/ Does your government recognise LGBT+ charities as valid and allow tax-deductable donations? No.

Section Three - Healthcare:
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Do your nation's LGBT+ citizens have access to specialist sexual health services? Only the T, since it would require someone particularly familiar with changing/treating dimorphic characteristics.
2/ (If applicable) Which aspects of gender transition are covered by your nation's healthcare system? None are covered for free, but government hospitals offer gender changing surgeries and genetic therapies to physiologically and morphologically change the individual to his/her desired gender.
3/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and/or sexual reassignment surgery (SRS)? Yes, but not for free.
4/ Are your nation's trans citizens required to go through "real life experience" (RLE) before having access to treatment? No, but they are expected to have understood the consequences to changing one's gender fully, and be completely sure of their decision.
5/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to import their own medication for the purposes of hormone replacement therapy (HRT)? Only after a safety inspection to make sure it doesn't carry over dangerous substances.
6/ What your nation's age of majority when making decisions regarding HRT and SRS? 21. This is because while 14 is usually the age of majority, the human body tends to stop changing from puberty around 21 here.
7/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to puberty blockers? If so, from what age are they available? No
8/ Is pre and post-transition physical and mental healthcare available to your nation's trans citizens? Yes, and still not for free
9/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to other gender-affirming healthcare and resources? See above answer
10/ Are medical professionals or teaching staff required to "out" LGBT youth to their parents if they are below the age of majority? For all except the T, since they'd need to be 21 to get a surgery anyways, they are required to inform law enforcement. Whether they contact their parents before or after is up to the teacher's discretion.

Section Four - Societal Attitudes
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex marriage? 1-2%
2/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex adoption? 0.02-1%
3/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support peoples' right to transition? roughly 62%
4/ Is there a taboo or stigma surrounding the discussion of LGBT+ issues in your nation? Yes
5/ Are LGBT+ citizens in your nation commonly subjected to discrimination online and/or in person? Yes, although for the T it's getting rarer.
6/ If pride parades or similar occur in your nation, are they met with counter-marches or other resistance? If a call to the police counts, then yes.
7/ If applicable to your dialect(s), are your nation's citizens generally accepting of someone's pronouns when they transition? In spoken form, yes (he and she are pronounced the same in Chinese), while in writing, there may or may not be honest mistakes here and there.
8/ Are the major religious groups within your nation generally accepting of LGBT+ people and their lifestyles? No
9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? Quite common in private owned places like restaurants or clubs, and in smaller government buildings.
10/ What are the opinions on LGBT+ issues from your nation's academia? Generally mixed. Sociologists/psychologists/anthropologists/people from related fields just see it as another subject to study, while people concerned with more cosmic fields such as interdimensional studies/tauhid/Islamic law understand the gravity of falling to such sin. Otherwise, there is little to no opinion to begin with.

Section Five - Media and Political Representation
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? Depends on what counts as a media figure. Writers, illustrators, comic creators, or other creative workers who depict fictional same-gender scenes have their own niche followings and are protected by freedom of expression, because none of the people in their works are real.
2/ Are there prominent anti-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? Among the ones with the largest fanbases are MMA fighter Nikolai Vlasov for athletes, James Ong in news, and Tony Lai in film, and JennySparkles in streaming.
3/ Are there prominent LGBT+ role models for young people displayed in your nation's media? There may be unconfirmed ones that look/act the part but may or may not be here and there. Retired supermodel and former matriarch of a Amgelhey Family subsidiary Michelle Miao is rumored to be bisexual, so is the owner and lead designer of Bold Strokes.
4/ Are LGBT+ people able to see relateable characters in your nation's prominent works of fiction? Sometimes there are ambiguously gay characters, rarely confirmed ones then in less prominent works there could be more obvious ones.
5/ Does support for LGBT+ people vary greatly depending on the region/state you live in? Do laws differ greatly? Laws are the same across all states, but attitudes are stricted in the south.
6/ Do explicitly pro-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? No
7/ Do explicitly anti-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? There's the ruling Angelheart Family, with 30/150 seats in parliament and the strongest support around Mutiara, Beijing, Shanghai, and Qingdao, as well as Southeast Asia, then there's the Gan brotherhood with 9/150 seats and a support base in Mongolia and scattered around the nation's southern regions. There's also the Minister of Religion, with 23/150 seats and supporters of various levels of devotion all over the country. Finally, there's the National Defence Conglomerate with 12/150 seats and support in industrial areas like Changchun or Shanxi.
8/ Are there prominent politicians or public servants who are openly LGBT+? No
9/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ voices within your nation's ruling party? No
10/ Are LGBT+ people permitted to run for election or your nation's equivalent political process? Are they permitted to lead the nation? Only for the T, and theoretically, yes, although none of the Heavenly Emperor's children have changed their genders.

(OPTIONAL) - More information
We would appreciate filling in as much of this information as possible. However, this is not required to receive a complete score, and filling this information out will not change your score in any way. This information may be used by us for research and other survey-wide analysis purposes.
What is the approximate ethnic makeup of your nation? (in percentages) Haha..haha..ha...
How many official languages are there in your nation? What are these? Burmese, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Mongolian, Russian, so that makes 8.

What type of Government does your country have? Absolute monarchy
What percentage of the population is estimated to be LGBT+? 1-3%
(OOC) Which real life nation would you describe yours as being most similar to? Thematically, China. Politically, Malaysia or Brunei.

Note: This is for dependent territory/autonomous region Cypresey Island, which has its own laws on LGBT+ rights separate from West Bromwich Holme of which it is dependent on.

West Bromwich Holme will be participating later.

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index (usually does not include pretitle) Cypresey Island
Your nation's current year 2022
Your nation's IC population 8,372,241
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? Yes
Please confirm you are a human nation! Yes
You may request a breakdown of your score via TG once it is processed. Note that any requests for breakdowns or additional information are only processed when the queue of submissions is empty.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to marry or form civil unions with those of the same sex? Yes, since May 2001
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? Yes
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? Yes, since February 1989 when a law

6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? Not many, but those that do exist are well-known enough in their areas. German group FFSCLT (Freiheit für schwul-lesbische Transgender, literally "Freedom for Gay Lesbian Transgender" in English), found in German-speaking areas, is prominent, but obscure outside of the German-speaking areas in the South that speak Low German
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest? Yes, but public protest is rare on this issue due to the nation's treatment of LGBT issues; in reality, public protests are more likely on economic issues.
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online? Yes
9/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected from discrimination in the workplace, during education, and while using public services? Yes - in February 1989, a new law came into force on the island preventing discrimination on basis of sexuality.
10/ Are your nation's trans citizens specifically banned from participating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity? No, since there was never anything ratified in law to prohibit this.

Section Two - Government Stances on LGBT+ Issues
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are LGBT+ topics covered in your nation's education system? Please give details. Yes. This has been national policy since 1991 when we included homosexuality in sex education. But it has always been at the judgment of the educational institution concerned.
2/ Are LGBT+ voices taken into account when legislation is being developed and debated within your nation's legal system? Yes, but in general the legal system is broad. However, the legal system is inclusive.
3/ Does your nation take refugees from other countries who are persecuted on the basis of their sexual or gender identity? Yes, but law on this is highly complex.
4/ Does your nation's armed forces (or equivalent) allow LGBT+ people entry? Yes. But West Bromwich Holme remains responsible for this.
5/ If yes, are they permitted to be open about their gender or sexual identity? Yes, to a degree, but legally, this isn't clarified.
6/ Does your government recognise "X" or an equivalent non-binary gender identity on official documentation? Officially speaking, Cypresey Island does not legally recognize non-binary or agender as a gender identity.
7/ Does your nation's legal system recognise the "trans panic" and/or "gay panic" defence(s) as valid? This has been an area of controversy. But, relatively speaking, trans panic and gay panic defence have never been used.
8/ Does your government allow pride flags to be flown alongside the national flag at official events and ceremonies?
As such, it's more at a local level issue than national level.
9/ Does your government allow discussion and debate of LGBT+ issues within its legislature? Yes, but as a dependent territory, we seek advice from West Bromwich Holme on this.
10/ Does your government recognise LGBT+ charities as valid and allow tax-deductable donations? This is a complex issue for which the law is changing on it.

Section Three - Healthcare:
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Do your nation's LGBT+ citizens have access to specialist sexual health services? Yes
2/ (If applicable) Which aspects of gender transition are covered by your nation's healthcare system?
The law on this is being updated.
3/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and/or sexual reassignment surgery (SRS)? Yes. Since the law in our island has never said being transgender or having transgender surgeries was illegal, there is an industry for this therapy.
4/ Are your nation's trans citizens required to go through "real life experience" (RLE) before having access to treatment? Legally, it's a No. It is at the discretion of the individual and psychiatrist to determine this.
5/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to import their own medication for the purposes of hormone replacement therapy (HRT)? Currently the law on this is changing.
6/ What your nation's age of majority when making decisions regarding HRT and SRS? 18
7/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to puberty blockers? If so, from what age are they available? The law on this is changing, so no comment.
8/ Is pre and post-transition physical and mental healthcare available to your nation's trans citizens? Yes, ratified in law.
9/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to other gender-affirming healthcare and resources? As above
10/ Are medical professionals or teaching staff required to "out" LGBT youth to their parents if they are below the age of majority? Yes, but there are complex circumstances on the whole issue especially regarding informed consent.

Section Four - Societal Attitudes
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex marriage? No data available
2/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex adoption? No data available
3/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support peoples' right to transition? No data available
4/ Is there a taboo or stigma surrounding the discussion of LGBT+ issues in your nation? It depends, although some of the older population of German descent or some of the Chinese population may see it as a stigma. The older Chinese population do not mean to be malicious in this way.
5/ Are LGBT+ citizens in your nation commonly subjected to discrimination online and/or in person? In general, no; LGBT people go about their lives normally and discrimination is not that common here.
6/ If pride parades or similar occur in your nation, are they met with counter-marches or other resistance? No. Pride marches are de facto not common even though LGBTQ+ people are common here. In general, pride parades are not really common and have not enjoyed the same level of popularity as they do in other nations; instead, things like classic cars driving through the street or public street fairs involving food and drink are more common alternatives.
7/ If applicable to your dialect(s), are your nation's citizens generally accepting of someone's pronouns when they transition? It varies. But the people of German descent, largely from Northern Germany and Schleswig-Holstein, may not always use the pronouns.
8/ Are the major religious groups within your nation generally accepting of LGBT+ people and their lifestyles? In general, yes, but the island has never been, outside of Roman gods and a Jewish community, highly religious. But, yes, to be Jewish and LGBT is quite acceptable here. There isn't much of an Islamic community here, and even then, this Islamic community cherry-picks what to follow; they don't follow traditional Islamic rulings on homosexuality, so it's OK to be Muslim and gay, really. However, some foreign Muslims won't accept the Cypresey Island's Muslim community due to their opinions on this; note that local Muslims do drink alcohol and don't believe in the traditional Islamic beliefs surrounding it. Indeed, they don't even have Ramadan in their interpretation of the religion!
9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? Not that common
10/ What are the opinions on LGBT+ issues from your nation's academia? In general, academia is accepting of LGBT people and there has never been many negative opinions on it. Aside from the occasional one in 2004-2011 which were PR disasters for all concerned but this faded into obscurity.

Section Five - Media and Political Representation
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? No prominent pro-LGBT+ media figures exist.
2/ Are there prominent anti-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? No prominent anti-LGBT+ media figures, if anything it's more likely to be anti-capitalist occasionally.
3/ Are there prominent LGBT+ role models for young people displayed in your nation's media? There are none really.
4/ Are LGBT+ people able to see relateable characters in your nation's prominent works of fiction? No, but a lot of our nation's fiction is imported. If they do occur, they're not that common.
5/ Does support for LGBT+ people vary greatly depending on the region/state you live in? Do laws differ greatly?
Laws remain the same. But support for LGBT+ people is not as common in the German or Chinese communities here, depending on age and social status. However, some of the German-Swiss or Italian-Swiss community here are very accepting of LGBT people depending on which commune you visit (politically, the German, German-Swiss and Italian-Swiss communes are treated as their own local political areas).
6/ Do explicitly pro-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? None, even though we have political parties.
7/ Do explicitly anti-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? None really, to be fair. Partially due to the nation's status as a de facto LGBT hub.
8/ Are there prominent politicians or public servants who are openly LGBT+? Amália Hernandes, born 15 July 1984, aged 37, who lives with her girlfriend. She is a femme lesbian. Amalia is of Portuguese descent. However, she does not trade on being LGBT+ as part of her image, she just says she's a woman with a girlfriend.
9/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ voices within your nation's ruling party? None currently; although Rosângela Guerra de Freitas aka "Rosa de Freitas" or "Angela de Freitas" or "Angie de Freitas" (born 8 April 1978 in Contagem, Minas Gerais, Brazil) is pro-LGBT, it's not a main part of her image.
10/ Are LGBT+ people permitted to run for election or your nation's equivalent political process? Are they permitted to lead the nation? Yes.

2/ (If applicable) Which aspects of gender transition are covered by your nation's healthcare system? Any and all. New body-types are provided for free by the state for any reason.

4/ Are your nation's trans citizens required to go through "real life experience" (RLE) before having access to treatment? It isn't necessary due to the technology of the setting.
5/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to import their own medication for the purposes of hormone replacement therapy (HRT)? It isn't necessary due to the technology of the setting.

7/ If applicable to your dialect(s), are your nation's citizens generally accepting of someone's pronouns when they transition? Yes
8/ Are the major religious groups within your nation generally accepting of LGBT+ people and their lifestyles? Yes, for the most part. The exception is the Catholic Church, which officially is intolerant of homosexuality. However, de facto, the Catholic Church is tolerant towards homosexuality.
9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? They are mainstream.
10/ What are the opinions on LGBT+ issues from your nation's academia? Academia generally matches the population's views on LGBT. Very libertarian and laissez-faire.

Section Five - Media and Political Representation
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? Well, not really. More since the LGBT-stuff has become so normalized that there is no need for media figures to really promote it.

6/ Do explicitly pro-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? Not to a great extent, since it is no longer an issue. The Democratic Party, the Socialist Labor Party, and Liberty Party are all libertarian and lax when it comes to LGBT issues. Remnants of the Progressive Party still kind of exist as the minor and obscure 'Equality Party', but the party is considered extremely taboo due to their racial stances. (Their LGBT stances aren't an issue though.)
7/ Do explicitly anti-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? Same as above. Remnants of the Republican Party exist as the 'Constitution Party', which is considered similarly taboo as the Equality Party. The Constitution Party is very anti-LGBT.

9/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ voices within your nation's ruling party? The Democratic Party, since the early 21st century, grew increasingly pro-LGBT against the increasingly conservative Republican Party, due to both increasing normalization of LGBT and to siphon off white LGBT people who were dissatisfied with the Progressive Party.
10/ Are LGBT+ people permitted to run for election or your nation's equivalent political process? Are they permitted to lead the nation? Yes. Though, no one person really 'leads' the nation. But, all positions are open to LGBT+ people.

(OPTIONAL) - More information
We would appreciate filling in as much of this information as possible. However, this is not required to receive a complete score, and filling this information out will not change your score in any way. This information may be used by us for research and other survey-wide analysis purposes.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to marry or form civil unions with those of the same sex? Citizens are permitted to form civil unions in a few provinces, which are known by Frostland's LGBT community as "gay sanctuaries". The federal government recognises same-sex civil unions formed in these provinces, and no other province may arrest partners of such civil unions on grounds of same-sex relationships.
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? No
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? No

A nation of snow, frost, and unusually conservative politics.
Early January 2023 — Newly inaugurated President Vincent van Loodefrijk has received backlash over his criticism of anti-Jewish commentary among Frostish politicians. On his first day in office, the Pluricontinental Congress has already proposed a motion of no confidence against the President. Loodefrijk has refused to pardon far-right politicians imprisoned under the previous government, insisting on maintaining the integrity of moral spirit.

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index (usually does not include pretitle) The Eagle State
Your nation's current year A.D. 2022
Your nation's IC population about six million
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? Only if it's convenient to you.
Please confirm you are a human nation! Yes, the Eagle State is a colony of a human nation, albeit some of us have Elven ancestry, but we're humans.
You may request a breakdown of your score via TG once it is processed. Note that any requests for breakdowns or additional information are only processed when the queue of submissions is empty.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to "marry" or form civil unions with those of the same sex? No.
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? As stated above, there aren't same-sex unions in the Eagle State; homosexual individuals aren't allowed to adopt as long as they are homosexual. Parents or individuals who are about to adopt a child are being carefully examined whether they're in danger of falling into that sin.
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? No.
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people? Only if LGB people are unwilling to get rid of that sin, i.e. when they're intentionally evil. In the sacrament of Confession, the priest decides whether a sinner truly repents respectively wants to get rid of their sin.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? There is no such thing as "gender transitioning".
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? No, of course not.
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest? No.
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online? No, endorsing any sin is forbidden.
9/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected from discrimination in the workplace, during education, and while using public services? No, they are being advised to get rid of that sin and go to Confession.
10/ Are your nation's trans citizens specifically banned from participating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity? What on Earth are "trans citizens"? There is no such thing. And why would anyone identify as a different gender than they are? In sports, men participate with men and women with women in a discipline. The only exception is dressage riding because in this discipline gender doesn't matter.

Section Two - Government Stances on LGBT+ Issues
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are LGBT+ topics covered in your nation's education system? Please give details. Yes, it is being warned how dangerous and grave that sin is.
2/ Are LGBT+ voices taken into account when legislation is being developed and debated within your nation's legal system? No, of course not.
3/ Does your nation take refugees from other countries who are persecuted on the basis of their sexual or gender identity? No, if anything they're being deported to their homecountry.
4/ Does your nation's armed forces (or equivalent) allow LGBT+ people entry? Yes, but they're requested to get rid of that sin and go to Confession.
5/ If yes, are they permitted to be open about their gender or sexual identity? Yes, sinners should be honest about being sinners. It is forbidden to endorse or propagate their sin, of course.
6/ Does your government recognise "X" or an equivalent non-binary gender identity on official documentation? Why should it? As stated above, the Eagle State is a human nation. Humans are male or female.
7/ Does your nation's legal system recognise the "trans panic" and/or "gay panic" defence(s) as valid? Uh, what?
8/ Does your government allow pride flags to be flown alongside the national flag at official events and ceremonies? No.
9/ Does your government allow discussion and debate of LGBT+ issues within its legislature? Of course, once in a while they debate what can be done to help these poor sinners and how to suppress any spread of that sin.
10/ Does your government recognise LGBT+ charities as valid and allow tax-deductable donations? No, there are no LGB charities in the Eagle State.

Section Three - Healthcare:
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Do your nation's LGBT+ citizens have access to specialist sexual health services? Yes, this is even encouraged so that specialists help them recognize how unnatural and wrong it is.
2/ (If applicable) Which aspects of gender transition are covered by your nation's healthcare system? As stated above, there is no such thing as "gender transition".
3/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and/or sexual reassignment surgery (SRS)? There aren't any "trans citizens". The Eagle State is a human nation. HRT is forbidden.
4/ Are your nation's trans citizens required to go through "real life experience" (RLE) before having access to treatment? N/A
5/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to import their own medication for the purposes of hormone replacement therapy (HRT)? HRT is forbidden.
6/ What your nation's age of majority when making decisions regarding HRT and SRS? N/A

9/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to other gender-affirming healthcare and resources? N/A
10/ Are medical professionals or teaching staff required to "out" LGBT youth to their parents if they are below the age of majority? Um, no? That sin is discouraged, like all sins.

Section Four - Societal Attitudes
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex "marriage"? Hopefully noone.
2/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex adoption? Hopefully noone when the adopting parent is presently homosexual.
3/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support peoples' right to transition? There is no such thing as transition.
4/ Is there a taboo or stigma surrounding the discussion of LGBT+ issues in your nation? One should be careful when talking about it in the presence of minors.
5/ Are LGBT+ citizens in your nation commonly subjected to discrimination online and/or in person? I guess there are little or no LGB citizens. Who is would be advised to get rid of the sin and go to Confession.
6/ If pride parades or similar occur in your nation, are they met with counter-marches or other resistance? They don't.
7/ If applicable to your dialect(s), are your nation's citizens generally accepting of someone's pronouns when they transition? N/A
8/ Are the major religious groups within your nation generally accepting of LGBT+ people and their lifestyles? No, the Eagle State's state religion is Catholicism. The Church condemns all sins.
9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? Sometimes. Concerning a restroom it doesn't matter much when you've got to go.
10/ What are the opinions on LGBT+ issues from your nation's academia? As stated above, people are being warned about the grave sin.

Section Five - Media and Political Representation
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? No, I don't recall any.
2/ Are there prominent anti-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? The bishop of Fairview I guess. A bishop, he is popular I guess, but clergymen are practicing humility.
3/ Are there prominent LGBT+ role models for young people displayed in your nation's media? No.
4/ Are LGBT+ people able to see relateable characters in your nation's prominent works of fiction? No I don't think so.
5/ Does support for LGBT+ people vary greatly depending on the region/state you live in? Do laws differ greatly? No. Formerly perhaps, but not since the Eagle State became a colony.
6/ Do explicitly pro-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? No or no more.
7/ Do explicitly anti-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? The only remaining legal party is the Eagle State Republican Party, so this would be one. Formerly, one likely could have found pro-LGB members but they are no more allowed in the party.
8/ Are there prominent politicians or public servants who are openly LGBT+? No. Formerly, one likely could have found members of legislature who are LGB, but they are no longer allowed in the legislative body as long as they are unwilling to get rid of that sin.
9/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ voices within your nation's ruling party? No. As stated above, possibly formerly, but no more since the Eagle State became a colony.
10/ Are LGBT+ people permitted to run for election or your nation's equivalent political process? Are they permitted to lead the nation? No, as long as they're homosexual. And there aren't any more elections since the Eagle State became a colony.

(in percentages) About 45% white Americans, 20% Hispanics, 18% Númenoreans (colonists), 10% Afro-Americans, 7% Indians (Drúedain colonists and native tribes)
How many official languages are there in your nation? What are these? English, Quenya and Sindarin are the three official languages of the Eagle State colony.
What is the political position of your nation's ruling Government? It would probably be referred to as far-right, paleoconservative or reactionary.
What type of Government does your country have? The Eagle State is a colony, a lord protectorate. Its hegemonial power is a feudal monarchy. The Eagle State has a one-party legislative chamber but they don't make any decisions.
What percentage of the population is estimated to be LGBT+? As stated above, hopefully noone anymore.
(OOC) Which "real life" nation would you describe yours as being most similar to? A state of the United or of the Confederate States of America. The Eagle State actually was a state of the USA until being conquered and colonized.

END
Are you satisfied with this index? I think so. Otherwise I wouldn't have answered the questions or all of them.
Any suggestions or comments on how to improve? The index is pro-LGBT biased. You could make it more neutral.

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index (usually does not include pretitle) Aikoland
Your nation's current year 2022
Your nation's IC population 5,941,847 (2021 estimate)
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? Yes.
Please confirm you are a human nation! Yes, we are a human nation

Yes, civil unions have been legally recognised since the passage of the Civil Union Act 2002 and same-sex marriages have been performed and recognised in Aikoland since 1 January 2014, when the 2013 constitutional amendment to recognise such marriages became part of the constitution and went into force.
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? Yes, same-sex couples have been allowed to adopt children since 1997.
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? Yes, while local laws banning discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation were passed starting in the late 1980s, such discrimination became illegal on a nationwide basis in 2003. Discrimination on the basis of gender identity became illegal nationwide in 2016.
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people? No.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? Yes. The process for a transgender Aikolandais citizen changing their legal name is the same as for a non-transgender citizen: they must simply apply for a legal name change at a local government office and pay a 20₣ processing fee (and, for those under the age of 18, they must also have signed permission from their parents or guardians). In order to have their legally recognised gender changed, they must present a signed document from their doctor affirming that they are undergoing the appropriate treatments for gender dysphoria (which, under modern Aikolandais law, is 'hormone replacement therapy')
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? Yes.
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest? Yes, this right is protected under the constitution.
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online? Yes, this right is protected under the constitution.
9/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected from discrimination in the workplace, during education, and while using public services? Yes, this is banned under the 2003 anti-discrimination law (for sexual orientation) and the 2016 anti-discrimination law (for gender identity).
10/ Are your nation's trans citizens specifically banned from participating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity? No.

Section Two - Government Stances on LGBT+ Issues
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are LGBT+ topics covered in your nation's education system? Please give details. Yes, in the majority of schools. LGBT+ topics are currently not mandated at a national level, but there has been debate in Parliament over whether or not such topics should be included in the national curriculum.
2/ Are LGBT+ voices taken into account when legislation is being developed and debated within your nation's legal system? Yes.
3/ Does your nation take refugees from other countries who are persecuted on the basis of their sexual or gender identity? When we can, considering how nation's small size.
4/ Does your nation's armed forces (or equivalent) allow LGBT+ people entry? Yes.

7/ Does your nation's legal system recognise the "trans panic" and/or "gay panic" defence(s) as valid? No.

9/ Does your government allow discussion and debate of LGBT+ issues within its legislature?Yes.
10/ Does your government recognise LGBT+ charities as valid and allow tax-deductable donations?

All aspects of transitioning are covered by the Aikolandais National Health Service and have been since 2005.
15 for HRT and 18 for SRS.
7/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to puberty blockers? If so, from what age are they available? Yes, puberty blockers are available starting at age 11.
8/ Is pre and post-transition physical and mental healthcare available to your nation's trans citizens? Yes.
9/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to other gender-affirming healthcare and resources? Yes.

Section Four - Societal Attitudes
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.

2/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex adoption? 92.2%

6/ If pride parades or similar occur in your nation, are they met with counter-marches or other resistance? No.
7/ If applicable to your dialect(s), are your nation's citizens generally accepting of someone's pronouns when they transition? Yes, with the caveat that gender-neutral pronouns can be confusing for many Aikolandais as French is a gendered language with only masculine and feminine grammatical gender, so it is not uncommon for Aikolandais to stumble when having to use gender neutral terms to refer to someone.
8/ Are the major religious groups within your nation generally accepting of LGBT+ people and their lifestyles? Despite our nation being predominantly Catholic, the Catholic Church in Aikoland tends to be accepting of LGBT+ people in the modern day, at least as far as their religion allows them to be.
9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? Not very prevalent.
10/ What are the opinions on LGBT+ issues from your nation's academia? They are supportive of the topic.

Section Five - Media and Political Representation
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? Yes, they are fairly popular.
2/ Are there prominent anti-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? No.
3/ Are there prominent LGBT+ role models for young people displayed in your nation's media? Yes.
4/ Are LGBT+ people able to see relateable characters in your nation's prominent works of fiction? Yes.
5/ Does support for LGBT+ people vary greatly depending on the region/state you live in? Do laws differ greatly? No.
6/ Do explicitly pro-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? Yes. Both the Social Democratic Party and the Conservative Party support LGBT rights (and, with the exceptions of the law allowing for same-sex couples to adopt children and the law banning discrimination on the basis of gender identity, all advances to LGBT rights in modern Aikoland were passed under Conservative government). The Social Democrats and the Conservatives are the two major political parties in Aikoland, so they (combined) have the majority of the political support in our nation (counting for both chambers of Parliament, the Social Democrats and Conservatives combined control 91% of all seats). In addition, the Socialist Party (which has the remaining 9% of seats in Parliament) is also explicitly pro-LGBT. (There also exist several minor parties without any representation that are pro-LGBT)
7/ Do explicitly anti-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? Yes, both the New Monarchist Party and the Nationalist Party are anti-LGBT. While the New Monarchist Party is considered a complete fringe party (they're a far-right ultra-traditionalist party that advocates for the restoration of absolute monarchism in Aikoland) with barely any actual, the Nationalist Party is considered one of the two major minor political parties in Aikoland, alongside the Socialist Party. That still doesn't amount to much, mind, as they only received 2.99% of the vote in the most recent elections to the Chamber of Deputies (losing the three seats they had by falling under the 3% electoral threshold) and they have never held any seats in the Senate. So they're still a very minor party with little support, but they're ones that may occasionally manage to just barely receive some representation in Parliament.
8/ Are there prominent politicians or public servants who are openly LGBT+? Yes.
9/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ voices within your nation's ruling party? Yes.
10/ Are LGBT+ people permitted to run for election or your nation's equivalent political process? Are they permitted to lead the nation? Yes to both questions, although we have not had an LGBT+ leader yet.

(in percentages)
How many official languages are there in your nation? What are these? The Empire of Aikoland recognises French as its sole official language. The indigenous Romance languages of Aikoais, Saunian, and Boullién are all recognised as 'native minority languages'.
What is the political position of your nation's ruling Government? The governing Social Democratic Party is, as its name implies, a social democratic and socially liberal political party.
What type of Government does your country have? Unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy
What percentage of the population is estimated to be LGBT+? Estimated at between 1 and 5%.
(OOC) Which real life nation would you describe yours as being most similar to? France.

END
Are you satisfied with this index? Yes.
Any suggestions or comments on how to improve? None (that I haven't already said when replying on my other account lol)
