Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index (usually does not include pretitle) The Principality of Aichoghnu
Your nation's current year 2024 by Western standards.
Your nation's IC population 8,000
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? Yes please.
Please confirm your nation is primarily inhabited by humans. Yes.
You may request a breakdown of your score via TG once it is processed. Note that any requests for breakdowns or additional information are only processed when the queue of submissions is empty.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to marry or form civil unions with those of the same sex? Yes, and this is enshrined in the constitution.
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? Yes.
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? It's illegal to discriminate, but there are no hate speech laws here. Freedom of speech is paramount.
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people? No. Well they can, but not just because they're LGB, they have to have done something objectionable to be refused service like anyone else.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? Legal names can be changed, but not the sex listed on documents.
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? Yes.
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest? Yes.
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online? Yes.
9/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected from discrimination in the workplace, during education, and while using public services? Yes.
10/ Are your nation's trans citizens specifically banned from participating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity? There currently are no trans or non-binary people in Aichoghnu. If there were any, they would be allowed to compete in the category for their biological sex, as long as they had not surgically transitioned or undergone HRT. So no.

Section Two - Government Stances on LGBT+ Issues
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are LGBT+ topics covered in your nation's education system? Please give details. Yes. Children are taught about same-sex relationships and sex, and their significance in traditional culture (many traditional societies in Aichoghnu consider same-sex relationships to be sacred.) Children are taught about the Western gender system, and about transgender people. Note that gender does not exist as a concept in Aichoghnu, so the only transgender or non binary people in the country would be immigrants. However, many people in Aichoghnu would probably be considered to be like this based on Western gender norms, as here men and women have the freedom to act as they wish.
2/ Are LGBT+ voices taken into account when legislation is being developed and debated within your nation's legal system? Yes.
3/ Does your nation take refugees from other countries who are persecuted on the basis of their sexual or gender identity? Yes, Aichoghnu is well known as a welcoming place for all refugees.
4/ Does your nation's armed forces (or equivalent) allow LGBT+ people entry? We don't have an armed forces.
5/ If yes, are they permitted to be open about their gender or sexual identity? N/A.
6/ Does your government recognise "X" or an equivalent non-binary gender identity on official documentation? Absolutely not.
7/ Does your nation's legal system recognise the "trans panic" and/or "gay panic" defence(s) as valid? No.
8/ Does your government allow pride flags to be flown alongside the national flag at official events and ceremonies? We allow only the rainbow flag, not including Progress flag variations or specific identity flags. The rainbow flag usually is flown alongside national and regional flags outside people's homes as well.
9/ Does your government allow discussion and debate of LGBT+ issues within its legislature? Yes.
10/ Does your government recognise LGBT+ charities as valid and allow tax-deductible donations? Only LGB charities. Charities such as Mermaids are banned.

Section Three - Healthcare:
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Do your nation's LGBT+ citizens have access to specialist sexual health services? Yes.
2/ (If applicable) Which aspects of gender transition are covered by your nation's healthcare system? None of them.
3/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and/or sexual reassignment surgery (SRS)? Yes, but they'd have to go abroad to get it.
4/ Are your nation's trans citizens required to go through "real life experience" (RLE) before having access to treatment? It depends on the regulations in the country they went to to get treatment.
5/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to import their own medication for the purposes of hormone replacement therapy (HRT)? HRT is allowed only for medicinal purposes, and not for transitioning.
6/ What your nation's age of majority when making decisions regarding HRT and SRS? 25.
7/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to puberty blockers? If so, from what age are they available? Absolutely not. They're illegal.
8/ Is pre and post-transition physical and mental healthcare available to your nation's trans citizens? A couple of small LGB organisations have said that they would care for trans citizens with their medics if there were any. There is no system for this set up on an official basis on the grounds that there is no need for it.
9/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to other gender-affirming healthcare and resources? No.
10/ Are medical professionals or teaching staff required to "out" LGBT youth to their parents if they are below the age of majority? They are prohibited from doing that.

Section Four - Societal Attitudes
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex marriage? 82%. Most of those who disagree disagree because they disagree with the Western concept of marriage, not because they don't support same-sex couples. 100% of citizens support same-sex couples.
2/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex adoption? 100%.
3/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support peoples' right to transition? 0.2%.
4/ Is there a taboo or stigma surrounding the discussion of LGBT+ issues in your nation? No, they're a pretty hot topic at the moment, and there are many face to face and online groups dedicated to it.
5/ Are LGBT+ citizens in your nation commonly subjected to discrimination online and/or in person? No.
6/ If pride parades or similar occur in your nation, are they met with counter-marches or other resistance? No.
7/ If applicable to your dialect(s), are your nation's citizens generally accepting of someone's pronouns when they transition? On an informal basis, yes, but officially and formally no.
8/ Are the major religious groups within your nation generally accepting of LGBT+ people and their lifestyles? Yes.
9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? They're outlawed on the grounds that they're a safety risk.
10/ What are the opinions on LGBT+ issues from your nation's academia? LGB people are accepted and celebrated and have an extremely well documented history in folklore and in academia. Trans people are accepted with as much love as anyone else, but as members of their biological sex. Aichoghnu's academia only really discusses gender as an interesting but negative anthropological concept.

Section Five - Media and Political Representation
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? Pro LGB media figures are prominent and popular, but pro-trans figures are somewhat fringe, though not disliked.
2/ Are there prominent anti-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? There aren't any, apart from a podcast documenting the pervasive rise of gender theory in world politics, which is quite popular. However it's not anti-trans, whatever its critics may say, instead explicitly supporting people with actual gender dysphoria who through whatever circumstances transitioned. It and many feminists from Aichoghnu have been lambasted on social media for being 'TERFs'.
3/ Are there prominent LGBT+ role models for young people displayed in your nation's media? Yes, many.
4/ Are LGBT+ people able to see relatable characters in your nation's prominent works of fiction? Yes, many.
5/ Does support for LGBT+ people vary greatly depending on the region/state you live in? Do laws differ greatly? Not really, if at all.
6/ Do explicitly pro-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? All parties are pro LGB, but there are no known explicitly pro trans parties.
7/ Do explicitly anti-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? No.
8/ Are there prominent politicians or public servants who are openly LGBT+? The current leader of the country is openly lesbian.
9/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ voices within your nation's ruling party? Yes.
10/ Are LGBT+ people permitted to run for election or your nation's equivalent political process? Are they permitted to lead the nation? Yes.

(OPTIONAL) - More information
We would appreciate filling in as much of this information as possible. However, this is not required to receive a complete score, and filling this information out will not change your score in any way.
What is the approximate ethnic makeup of your nation? (in percentages)
Indigenous Aichoghnu: 42% (note that this group is made up of dozens of different ethnic groups and cultures)
Various Indigenous Siberian peoples: 24%
Saami: 18%
White: 12%
AAPI: 1%
Black: 1%
Arab: 1%
Other: 1%
How many official languages are there in your nation? What are these? 42 according to the constitution, but the real number is very difficult to ascertain because of the 8 close-knit dialect continuums and the countless mixed languages and possibly extinct languages, and recently lost mutual intelligibility languages and recently gained mutual intelligibility languages and etcetera.
What is the political position of your nation's ruling Government? N/A, practically impossible to classify.
What type of Government does your country have? Direct democracy run by a leader elected once every 4 years by referendum (like everything else in Aichoghnu)
How many members of your nation's national assembly/legislature are there? About 4000, though things work a bit differently here.
(OOC) Which real life nation would you describe yours as being most similar to? Geographically, Chile. Linguistically, Russia. Politically, any of the Nordics. Culturally, I think we're pretty unique.

END
Are you satisfied with this index? Ish.
Any suggestions or comments on how to improve? I do think it's biased towards certain views about gender, but I know that's your opinion and it probably won't change. However, I'm going to go ahead and assume that there are some countries with incredible LGB rights that have been placed further down the list because they don't follow restrictive Western concepts of gender and I think that should be accounted for.
Lover of dreams and reality. And photography and secondhand books and Olivetti Valentines.
Politics:
TERF is a slur against radical feminists and women who believe in biology, and is the modern day equivalent of 'witch'.
Sex is real, important, and immutable.
I respect real trans people instead of those who weaponise their existence against women and our rather silly (/s) insistence on having rights.

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index (usually does not include pretitle) : Terra da Cinza
Your nation's current year Late 1990's
Your nation's IC population ≈ 150 million
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? Yes please.
Please confirm your nation is primarily inhabited by humans. Yes.
You may request a breakdown of your score via TG once it is processed. Note that any requests for breakdowns or additional information are only processed when the queue of submissions is empty.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to marry or form civil unions with those of the same sex? No. No legislation on the Realm recognizes homosexual marriages nor civil unions.
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? No.
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? No. Hate speech legislation is considered by the courts to be a blatant infringement on the constitutionally enshrined right to free expression.
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people? Yes. Individuals and businesses have the right to choose with whom they do business, just as they have the right to choose where to exercise their patronage of a business.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? Citizens may change their legal name upon request for whatever reason, however certain documents such as birth certificates, criminal records, citizen identifying numbers and service records may not be altered.
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? No. Smaller fringe organizations exist, but they are exceedingly unpopular among the general public.
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest? Yes.
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online? Yes.

Section Two - Government Stances on LGBT+ Issues
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are LGBT+ topics covered in your nation's education system? Please give details. Very briefly. The education curriculum reflects the government position on them as being mentally ill sexual deviants, and gives a short description on members and activities of the aforementioned group in order to inform and warn pupils about their presence and potential dangers.
2/ Are LGBT+ voices taken into account when legislation is being developed and debated within your nation's legal system? No.
3/ Does your nation take refugees from other countries who are persecuted on the basis of their sexual or gender identity? No.
4/ Does your nation's armed forces (or equivalent) allow LGBT+ people entry? No. Homosexuality, alongside transsexuality and the like are considered serious mental disorders and will bar you from military service.
5/ If yes, are they permitted to be open about their gender or sexual identity?
6/ Does your government recognise "X" or an equivalent non-binary gender identity on official documentation? No.
7/ Does your nation's legal system recognise the "trans panic" and/or "gay panic" defence(s) as valid? No legislation on the Realm explicitly mentions the aforementioned defence. Unsolicited and aggressive sexual innuendo may however, regardless of the orientational dynamics, be construed to constitute sufficient grounds for the use of force. In any case, a jury is quite likely to acquit a defendant who credibly demonstrates that they were being persistently harassed by a sexual deviant.
8/ Does your government allow pride flags to be flown alongside the national flag at official events and ceremonies? No.
9/ Does your government allow discussion and debate of LGBT+ issues within its legislature? Yes.
10/ Does your government recognise LGBT+ charities as valid and allow tax-deductible donations? No.

Section Three - Healthcare:
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Do your nation's LGBT+ citizens have access to specialist sexual health services? I don't quite understand what is meant by 'specialist sexual health services' here, but assuming you mean urologist, endocrinologists, gynecologists and the like, then yes.
2/ (If applicable) Which aspects of gender transition are covered by your nation's healthcare system? None.
3/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and/or sexual reassignment surgery (SRS)? No. The aforementioned procedures are not recognized nor authorized by the State medical boards, and thus medical personnel are prohibited from performing them on patients.
4/ Are your nation's trans citizens required to go through "real life experience" (RLE) before having access to treatment? N/A
5/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to import their own medication for the purposes of hormone replacement therapy (HRT)? No. While their possession is not regulated, importing and exporting said material is regulated.

2/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex adoption? ≈ 1%
3/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support peoples' right to transition? ≈ 1%
4/ Is there a taboo or stigma surrounding the discussion of LGBT+ issues in your nation? Yes.
5/ Are LGBT+ citizens in your nation commonly subjected to discrimination online and/or in person? Yes.
6/ If pride parades or similar occur in your nation, are they met with counter-marches or other resistance? Yes.
7/ If applicable to your dialect(s), are your nation's citizens generally accepting of someone's pronouns when they transition? No.
8/ Are the major religious groups within your nation generally accepting of LGBT+ people and their lifestyles? No.
9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? Very rare.
10/ What are the opinions on LGBT+ issues from your nation's academia? The general consensus view on the matter is that the LGBT movement is a self-interested group of severely mentally ill sexual deviants trying to force their delusions to the general public via deception and taking advantage of the empathetic but naive members of society. The movement is also viewed as a foreign-funded national security threat propped up by hostile foreign governments and NGO's in order to destabilize the society and rule of law of the Realm, with considerable amounts of evidence supporting this view.
Section Five - Media and Political Representation
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? No.

3/ Are there prominent LGBT+ role models for young people displayed in your nation's media? No.
4/ Are LGBT+ people able to see relatable characters in your nation's prominent works of fiction? Yes.
5/ Does support for LGBT+ people vary greatly depending on the region/state you live in? Do laws differ greatly? Laws generally do not vary, but enforcement of mental health statutes does. For example, while open homosexuality will get you involuntarily committed in one of the States, on another you might have to demonstrate additional criterion behaviours in order to be committed.
6/ Do explicitly pro-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? Yes. They tend to be miniscule, with membership typically consisting of a few dozen members at most.

8/ Are there prominent politicians or public servants who are openly LGBT+? No.

How many official languages are there in your nation? What are these? One, Portuguese.
What is the political position of your nation's ruling Government? A curious amalgamation of domestic laissez-faire small government libertarianism with a borderline fascist external policy.
What type of Government does your country have? An Octahedronal Oblivion. It's a long story.
What percentage of the population is estimated to be LGBT+? ≈ 0%
(OOC) Which real life nation would you describe yours as being most similar to? Couldn't say.

Please find the index for the Democratic Republic of Almadriana below:

Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index (usually does not include pretitle)
Almadriana
Your nation's current year
2024
Your nation's IC population
588 million
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored?
yes
Please confirm your nation is primarily inhabited by humans.
yes, my nationstate Almadriana is primarily inhabited by humans.

Yes, all citizens have the right to form civil unions with those of the same sex (with no further financial or legal privilege bound to this status), although marriage is prohibited for all in Almadriana since April 12th, 2024.
Change (04/11/2024): Marriage Abolishion Act (ALMA-A-SocP-1): although considering the cultural importance of marriage today, Almadriana decided to abolish marriage as an institution of one-sided (legal and financial) privilege, mostly furthering inequality and discrimination in many forms.
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children?
Yes, they are permitted to adopt and raise children. In case of adoption, both queer and non-queer citizens are required to participate in an assessment procedure to ensure that they can provide a secure and good-enough upbringing of the adopted child or children and to check if former criminal charges do not conflict with this prerequisite. All parents have access to further aid, support and information.
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation?
Yes, LGBT+ citizens (from now on: queer citizens) are protected from hate speech and discrimination just as every non-queer citizen is protected from discrimination and hate speech. Furthermore, Almadriana has passed the "LGTBIQ+ Protection Act AL-CC-PA10" to ensure the specific forms of discrimination encountered by queer citizens are explicitly named and protected against by this act.
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people?
No, our nation's goods and services are open for consumption by every citizen.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process?
Yes. Non-binarily identifying citizens are allowed to alter their legal names on documents but this change of legal names must be indicated on their personal identity card (and only there) with a small remark. The identification via the Almadriana Personal Identity Card (ALPID) is necessary for every application, request (and official processes with a strict identification condition) by every citizen in the country.
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation?
Yes, there is a larger, LGBT+ supportive national group called "ALMAQUEESO" acting as an umbrella organisation of smaller regional queer support groups (3 groups in total of 17 regions). In rural regions of Almadriana the support is significantly less pronounced than in the capital city Almorana.
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest?
Yes, but as every group and their members, they have to obey national and regional laws and must rely on non-violent forms of protest.
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online?
Yes, every group and citizen is allowed to speak freely in person and online with this right only being restricted by the legally binding rights of other individuals and the national legislation.
9/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected from discrimination in the workplace, during education, and while using public services?
Yes, Almadriana has passed the "LGTBIQ+ Protection Act AL-CC-PA10" to ensure the specific forms of discrimination encountered by queer citizens are explicitly named and protected against by this act. This includes (LGBT+)-specific forms of discrimination. Generally, every citizen is protected against most discriminatory practices including restrictions of access to these services and their proper functioning.
10/ Are your nation's trans citizens specifically banned from participating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity?
Yes, at the moment trans citizens can only participate in binary sport teams on a national level.

3/ Does your nation take refugees from other countries who are persecuted on the basis of their sexual or gender identity?
No, not automatically. The persecution on the basis of sexual or gender identity can be mentioned in the asylum request so special support and access to supportive services is provided (even if the asylum request is denied).
4/ Does your nation's armed forces (or equivalent) allow LGBT+ people entry?
Yes, the existing military services are open for every applicant passing the entrance tests. Generally, Almadriana is facing a demilitarisation process so applicants might have to apply for supranational armed forces.
5/ If yes, are they permitted to be open about their gender or sexual identity?
No, armed forces and the military do not process information on sexual identity and orientation and military personnel are advised to publish information on sexual identity and orientation only where inevitable. Your nation's name as you'd like it to appear on the index (usually does not include pretitle) Wyland
Your nation's current year 2024
Your nation's IC population 23,650,482 (as of the 2023 Census)
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? It would be appreciated
Please confirm your nation is primarily inhabited by humans. Yes

Yes to both. Though, as marriage is a religious union, religious figures who are permitted to perform marriages reserve the right to refuse to marry same-sex couples if they believe it goes against their religious beliefs. The state does not compel them to perform such ceremonies as it would go against the Wylish interpretation of the Freedom of Religion.
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? Yes
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? Wyland does not have hate speech laws. LGBT+ people enjoys the same legal protections from discrimination as everyone else.
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people? Citizens, in a private capacity, have the right to withhold goods and/or services from anybody, not just LGBT+ people. In a business capacity, such as refusing service in a restaurant, then a good reason must be provided (refusal to pay, being belligerent, asking a religious family-owned bakery to make a pride cake etc).
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? Citizens cannot legally change their gender, outside of extreme medical circumstances (hermaphroditism etc).
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? Yes
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest? Yes, all organisations (aside from those designated as a threat to national security) are afforded the right to assembly.
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online? Yes, all individuals have the right to free speech in any setting.
9/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected from discrimination in the workplace, during education, and while using public services? Yes, LGBT+ people are afforded all the same rights and protections as everyone else in these areas.
10/ Are your nation's trans citizens specifically banned from participating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity? Yes. As a compromise, since 2020, the Wylish Association for Sport & Recreation has permitted national sporting events to create additional sub-categories specifically for trans athletes. This allows them to participate in most national sporting events but ensures that the 'traditional' categories remain exclusive to normal athletes.

Section Two - Government Stances on LGBT+ Issues
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are LGBT+ topics covered in your nation's education system? Please give details. Yes, though only really at a late secondary (16-18) level. It's excluded entirely from the curriculum for primary and early secondary level education as it isn't generally seen as important at that stage.
2/ Are LGBT+ voices taken into account when legislation is being developed and debated within your nation's legal system? Insofar as the legislation in question affects LGBT+ people.
3/ Does your nation take refugees from other countries who are persecuted on the basis of their sexual or gender identity? Yes, although the Wylish asylum system is notoriously strict and allows relatively few people into the country on any given year.
4/ Does your nation's armed forces (or equivalent) allow LGBT+ people entry? Yes. They are also allowed to serve in all the same roles as anybody else.
5/ If yes, are they permitted to be open about their gender or sexual identity? Yes.
6/ Does your government recognise "X" or an equivalent non-binary gender identity on official documentation? No.
7/ Does your nation's legal system recognise the "trans panic" and/or "gay panic" defence(s) as valid? Yes, although it is very difficult to prove in court and is just as likely to be dismissed as it is to be accepted.
8/ Does your government allow pride flags to be flown alongside the national flag at official events and ceremonies? No. Only the national flag, royal flags, sub-national flags, flags of the armed services, flags of regional/local government or recognised 'flags of historical significance' (i.e. those of pre-unification kingdoms or ancient battle standards) can be flown at such events. Similarly only national, sub-national and royal flags may be flown from government premises at any time. Exceptions are made for flags of the armed services, which are often flown on remembrance/veteran-related holidays.
9/ Does your government allow discussion and debate of LGBT+ issues within its legislature? Yes. No topic of debate is explicitly excluded from the national legislature.
10/ Does your government recognise LGBT+ charities as valid and allow tax-deductible donations? Yes.

9/ Do your nation's trans citizens have access to other gender-affirming healthcare and resources? No.
10/ Are medical professionals or teaching staff required to "out" LGBT youth to their parents if they are below the age of majority? Only in extreme circumstances, such as when at risk of self-harming (and parental factors are not determined to be the cause).

Section Four - Societal Attitudes
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex marriage? Polling data averages around 70%.
2/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support same-sex adoption? Polling data averages around 60%.
3/ What percentage of your nation's citizens support peoples' right to transition? Polling data averages around 30%
4/ Is there a taboo or stigma surrounding the discussion of LGBT+ issues in your nation? No.
5/ Are LGBT+ citizens in your nation commonly subjected to discrimination online and/or in person? In person? Generally no. Online? Yes, though it's almost exclusively in the form of anonymous trolling which is highly unlikely to be exclusively the fault of Wylish citizens who make up a very small percentage of the total online English-speaking community.
6/ If pride parades or similar occur in your nation, are they met with counter-marches or other resistance? Yes, though it is routine for the police to keep the crowds separated so such parallel demonstrations rarely turn violent. Heated words and obnoxious chanting from both sides are common though.
7/ If applicable to your dialect(s), are your nation's citizens generally accepting of someone's pronouns when they transition? While one cannot legally transition in Wyland, and 'trans' is generally not recognised as a legitimate status by either the government or the average citizen, personal pronouns are generally respected by most Wylish people in the spirit of politeness and expediency.
8/ Are the major religious groups within your nation generally accepting of LGBT+ people and their lifestyles? Yes. The established Church of Wyland, the largest religious organisation by far, generally conforms with the national mainstream views on LGBT+ people though there remains a large minority of members who are hostile to any suggestions of reform.
9/ How prevalent are gender-neutral bathrooms/restrooms in your nation? Not present in public buildings such as government offices etc. Privately-owned businesses are generally allowed to decide for themselves whether to provide such spaces, though separate male and female toilet facilities must always also be provided.
10/ What are the opinions on LGBT+ issues from your nation's academia? Generally more pro-LGBT+ than the rest of the population. While a fact that is often resented by many, there are no laws preventing them from holding such beliefs though they are expected to not let such beliefs interfere with their teaching.

Section Five - Media and Political Representation
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ media figures in your nation's news and entertainment sphere? If so, how popular are they? Yes. Several prominent TV personalities and actors are openly LGBT+

4/ Are LGBT+ people able to see relatable characters in your nation's prominent works of fiction? Yes, though nowhere near to the degree as heterosexual characters.
5/ Does support for LGBT+ people vary greatly depending on the region/state you live in? Do laws differ greatly? Yes. Support for LGBT+ issues is generally higher in urban areas whereas rural areas are generally more socially conservative. As a unitary state, laws are the same throughout Wyland.
6/ Do explicitly pro-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? Yes, the 'Everyone's Party' campaigns on an explicitly pro-LGBT+ platform. While relatively minor, it is by far the largest of such parties in Wylish politics and claims to represent the majority of the politically-active LGBT+ community.
7/ Do explicitly anti-LGBT+ parties exist in your nation's political sphere? If so, what support do they have? No, some parties advocate for policies that are sometimes described as 'anti-LGBT+' though they would never openly describe them as such and ofttimes such accusations are rather subjective and/or politically motivated.
8/ Are there prominent politicians or public servants who are openly LGBT+? None in the current cabinet though they have been in the past. Many members of the legislature are openly LGBT+ and there are no restrictions on sexuality when joining the civil service.
9/ Are there prominent pro-LGBT+ voices within your nation's ruling party? Yes, though markedly less so than among the opposition.
10/ Are LGBT+ people permitted to run for election or your nation's equivalent political process? Are they permitted to lead the nation? Yes, LGBT+ people enjoy the same rights as everyone else when it comes to running in both national and local elections.

Your nation's current year 2014
Your nation's IC population 500 million
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? yes

You may request a breakdown of your score via TG once it is processed. Note that any requests for breakdowns or additional information are only processed when the queue of submissions is empty.

2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? yes
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? Somewhat. Threatening or inciting violence against a group of people and discrimination by those currently acting in an official governmental position, excluding politicians, are illegal. If a government employee is off-duty, they will be considered under the same laws as if they did not work for the government unless they try to invoke their governmental authority, in which case it will be treated like they were on the clock, at least so far as discrimination is concerned. Additionally, cases regarding threats and violence are considered in context, based on factors like risk, perceived threat, and legitimacy.
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people? Yes, but social judgement would be a strong deterrent in the vast majority of the country.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? Yes. How difficult it is depends on how many things have to be updated legally, same as any other citizen.
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? Y
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest? Yes, every citizen does so long as they are not explicitly advocating for violence against a group of people.
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online? Yes, though websites themselves maintain their ability to enforce restrictions. However, we have strong anti-monopoly/oligopoly laws which prevent companies from being overly controlling of online space.
9/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected from discrimination in the workplace, during education, and while using public services? They are protected from discrimination when dealing with the state, but private businesses and institutions have the right to be discrimination.
10/ Are your nation's trans citizens specifically banned from participating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity? No, though the government does not directly support any professional or university sports (though they are free to partner with private citizens and/or institutions).

Section Two - Government Stances on LGBT+ Issues
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.

7/ Does your nation's legal system recognise the "trans panic" and/or "gay panic" defence(s) as valid? No
8/ Does your government allow pride flags to be flown alongside the national flag at official events and ceremonies? Yes, but we're not big on flags as a whole. We opt towards other symbols of our country, especially with an individual artistic flare.
9/ Does your government allow discussion and debate of LGBT+ issues within its legislature? Yes
10/ Does your government recognise LGBT+ charities as valid and allow tax-deductible donations? Yes

4/ Are your nation's trans citizens required to go through "real life experience" (RLE) before having access to treatment?
Not if they are capable of giving medical consent. If they are not capable of giving medical consent, a psychiatrist will decide if this is necessary on a case-by-case basis.
5/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to import their own medication for the purposes of hormone replacement therapy (HRT)? Yes

4/ Is there a taboo or stigma surrounding the discussion of LGBT+ issues in your nation? No
5/ Are LGBT+ citizens in your nation commonly subjected to discrimination online and/or in person? Online: Somewhat, though Cats who discriminate online are often insincere in their beliefs. In person, this is only common in a few small towns, most of which are run by cults. However, these places try to deter outsiders, especially who are queer, from entering.
6/ If pride parades or similar occur in your nation, are they met with counter-marches or other resistance? They might be met with a small amount of resistance in bigger cities.

Your nation's IC population 4.461 billion
Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored? Sure!
Please confirm you are a human nation! Done.
You may request a breakdown of your score via TG once it is processed. Note that any requests for breakdowns or additional information are only processed when the queue of submissions is empty.

5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? 10/ Are your nation's trans citizens specifically banned from participating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity? N, but there exist no laws on the stance due to heavy debating, the jury's still out on this one. It depends on the private company's stance as there are no publicly-funded sports in Kokhestan. N, with the new implementation of some laws, banning trans citizens from particpating in sporting activities based on their preferred gender identity is illegal. This took quite a long time to implement and was met with some resistance in the government and some slight backlash from private sporting committees and their fans, but the change has been overwhelmingly positive and has sparked a new movement within the trans community.

7/ Does your nation's legal system recognise the "trans panic" and/or "gay panic" defence(s) as valid? N, in fact, this defence is illegal under anti-discrimination acts.
8/ Does your government allow pride flags to be flown alongside the national flag at official events and ceremonies? N, as this is not always applicable in these scenarios. Section Three - Healthcare:

10/ Are medical professionals or teaching staff required to "out" LGBT youth to their parents if they are below the age of majority? N, but this decision is made on a case-by-case basis, and it would be more applicable to help the child with any questions they might have about their gender and sexuality.

Would you like to receive a TG updating you when your nation has been scored?
YUP!
Please confirm your nation is primarily inhabited by humans.
Yep (or humans born in other star systems but yes)
You may request a breakdown of your score via TG once it is processed. Note that any requests for breakdowns or additional information are only processed when the queue of submissions is empty.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to marry or form civil unions with those of the same sex?
Yep

Nuh uh.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process?
It's slightly complicated, due to planetary laws, but if we're talking about the main planet, then it's quite simple. The individual who wishes to alter their details (name and the like), they must go to the Dept of Internal Relations. They declare the reasoning behind name change, as well as the changes on any document, hand it to the bloke at the desk, some processing and reprinting may be required, once complete, all is well!
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation?
Of course.

4/ Are your nation's trans citizens required to go through "real life experience" (RLE) before having access to treatment?
If they wish, they may change documentation and other housekeeping matters before accessing treatment, but it is not a prerequisite that they live as their true gender for a certain time.

There are many Imsalian pronouns for neutral, and all identities (being updated). People generally use the correct pronouns, unless they make a mistake.

Section One - Legally Enforcable Rights
Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.
1/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to marry or form civil unions with those of the same sex? Yes; this was legalized in January 1916 (2982) by King Gerontius the Old just after his 16th birthday. He took Pope Hecate V's counsel on the matter, but despite her opposition, legalized same-sex civil unions and marriages. Adoption rights became available five years later in December 1921 (2987), followed by legalized genderqueer marriages and adoptions in 1973 (3039) and 1979 (3045) respectively
2/ Are persons in same-sex relationships permitted to adopt or otherwise raise children? See above
3/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected by hate speech and general anti-discrimination legislation? Yes; King Gerontius promoted policies to fight against hate speech as a whole, but it was his son, King Rorimac IV, who ultimately passed legislation in 2015 (3081) ending hate speech against queer people, in addition to generalized discrimination.
4/ Do your nation's citizens have the right to withhold goods and/or services from LGBT+ people? No; King Gerontius's policies hastened the development of policies to prevent this, meaning it rarely if ever happened.
5/ Do citizens who are gender transitioning have the right to alter their legal name(s) and documents? If so, how difficult is this process? Yes; citizens go to their county clerk (or nearest equivalent) and fill out a form which is then sent to the Department of Minority Concerns & Issues to be processed. Citizens will then receive updated passports, licenses, etc free-of-charge with a signed note from the current monarch apologizing for any discrimination a person may have faced and a few sentences congratulating them on taking this step in their transition. Such has been the standard since King Michael II took the throne from his uncle Rorimac IV in 2016 (3082); prior to this, there was no official process.
6/ Are there large national and/or regional pro-LGBT+ groups within your nation? Yes, namely the Society for Queer Belecthorians, the Clementine LGBTQ+ Association, and the Belecthorian Queers Association.
7/ If yes, do these groups and the individuals associated with them have the right to free assembly and/or public protest? Yes, as are afforded all such groups.
8/ Do your nation's LGBT+ individuals and groups have the right to free speech both in person and online? Yes.
9/ Are your nation's LGBT+ citizens protected from discrimination in the workplace, during education, and while using public services? Yes.

Expanding on answers past "yes/no" is appreciated where possible/applicable.

2/ Are LGBT+ voices taken into account when legislation is being developed and debated within your nation's legal system? 5/ Are your nation's citizens permitted to import their own medication for the purposes of hormone replacement therapy (HRT)?
