The Viceroy of the North American Union and Members of the Viceregal Family, and the Prime Minister of the North American Union and his or her family, have close protective security via the North American Protective Services (NAPS). The Household Division also provides security when the rotating public duties companies (infantry)/public duties squadrons (cavalry) among the batallions of the Regiment of American Guards, Regiment of American Grenadier Guards, Viceroy's Horse Guard, and the Royal American Dragoon Guards are assigned.

Local, provincial, and general police services provide outer perimeters of security during public events.

Well, Joseph Sovei does not have any bodyguards (usually) as he is pretty good at managing to ward off threats, with a canister of [REDACTED FOR NATIONAL STABILITY]

The Empress is protected by the Wāhanga Tohunga [Imperial Guards], which also functions as a law enforcement agency and traditionally was an independent, elite branch of the Imperial Armed Forces. Wahanga Tohunga are one of only three agencies in Tangatrehua permitted to carry firearms.

The Rangatira is protected by Tiaki Tiakitanga [the Diplomatic Protection Squad], who also provide security for diplomats and politicians and are essentially just a branch of the Tiakitanga [Police].

Most high-ranking Chudokuren personnel are afforded a limited number of Gomon Hito bodyguards. These tenshified soldiers have been magically treated for absolute loyalty to the Supreme Overlady of All Reality, and are capable of wielding agony as a weapon to incapacitate any attackers. They are afforded unique full body armour and total NBC protection in their armoured helmets.

As Overlady, Aozora herself was once protected by Gomon Hito, but has since gained new bodyguards~ Youkai of the squadron Sangeki Ayakashi. These soldiers are not only tenshified, but augmented mechanically and biologically to grant them superhuman capabilities. Their unique Majo-Ichi body armour provides mounts for stress-bearing exo-braces and offers full NBC protection for the occupants, and their cochlear implants allow coordination between individuals without being overheard by potential threats. Each Sangeki contains twelve combat personnel and twenty-four logistical personnel, and Sangeki Ayakashi is no exception. It is worth noting however that Aozora herself is generally well-defended by her own hands as well, and her personal residence is a reinforced compound secured by many other soldiers.

The Royal Rhodeve Guard Battalion (often just referred to as the Royal Guard or Rhodeve Guard) is the body of soldiers tasked with guarding the monarch, the heir, previous monarchs (if they are alive) as well as their spouses and children. The unit, made up of a rotation of 500 soldiers is highly trained and each person must pass a rigorous selection process.

Anyone can apply to be a royal guard, but certain requirements must be met first. Royal guards must have at least 2-years of active military duty (post-conscription), be certified as a specialist (anything from passing the specialist courses for sniper, mortar, close-combat, or driver among others, to specialist ranks, such the special forces, rangers, etc.), have completed a university degree and pass through multiple written examinations. Should this be completed, an interview process is undertaken directly with the reigning monarch. Should they approve, the candidate is then allowed to take the 'Royal Tactical Training and Survivability Specialist Module', more commonly referred to as the Guarding course.

Once a person completes the course, they are put on standby, for when they can be called into service at any moment. Generally, the monarch is always accompanied by 2 guards (1 official, 1 plain-clothed), the heir by 2 (1 official, 1 plain-clothed), spouses by 1 guard, children of royalty by 1 guard (or 2 depending on the request of the parent), and past monarchs by 3 (2 official, 1 plain-clothed).

Royal guard are also tasked with guarding the Imperial Palace, which is the home of the monarch, the Supreme Court, Senate, House of Commons, as well as the Soul Tree (THE most important symbol of Rhodevus, which requires at least 2 guards around it at all times). So, while the actual guarding of people is only done by a few people at a time, the royal guard can also be tasked with protecting tourists, senators, house members, staff and others who are working in the Imperial Palace grounds.

The current monarch, Queen Diana Wolff, has the habit of not just knowing the names of all members of her guard, but is quite close with a number of them. Her childhood guard; a woman named Jane Carmicheal (previously known as John Carmicheal during her service), was quite close with her, and the two remain close to this day, with Jane's twin children often considered as cousins to the queen due to their long history.

The Hagjans Kiusareik (Common: Protectors of the President) are a special division of the military that protect the President of the Naturalist Federation. They were instituted in 1556, when the second president, Wulfila Davies, was assassinated by Batwins Gudja, a Theoist who wanted to aid the Holy Mandate of Fyrn (this action would not have done that). The Dominionist simply ran up and stabbed the then-president in the neck with a broadsword. Now the Hagjans typically lead and follow the President as an armed guard, ensuring that no one can do something like that again.

The official bodyguards of the President, Vice President, as well as all members of the upper government is known as The Green Guard (Les Gardes Vertes), this special regiment is part of the National Gendarmerie and Arpasian Honor Guard, it is regarded by many as one of the highest branches of The Arpasian Armed Forces as a whole, following close behind the other three major branches of the Armed Forces. Established in the immediate aftermath of the First Altropian War, initially still a part of the National Gendarmerie, they were first referred to simply as The Presidential Guard at that time, only consists of a squad of 8 highly-trained personnel, but during the Second Altropian War, the president and his bodyguards have to temporarily move to Henrysville, the capital city of Larovia, over time, the Presidential Guard would go on to broaden their missions and eventually become the bodyguards of all members of the upper government.

The standard-issue uniforms of The Green guard is the same as the honor guards, which consists of green and blue trousers, black boots, black shirts and blue feathered caps, but in overseas missions, they are dressed in typical military uniform, with the exception being that they always wear Kevlar vests and protective helmets at all times. standard-issue weaponry for these guards are mainly melee-centric, with weaponry such as cutlasses and spears being being primarily used by all guards, however, these guards are also trained to use firearms such as the P-9 handgun and M33 Rifle, and in some instances, the Green Guards use the Occidentian-made M67A1 rifle.

The primary goal of the Green Guard is to protect the President and all members of the upper government at all costs if necessary. Should the situation of a close-range assassination ever happen, the guards will have to immediately strikeat the assassin before he/she could take action, but if the assassin has taken action first, the guards orders are to tackle the assassin to the ground and pin them down until nearby police officers can apprehend them, firing at the assassin after they have taken action are strictly reserved as "last ditch efforts", as the government deems the potential assassin to hold secrets pertaining to the reason behind their action. If the persons they are protecting are hit by the assassin's bullet, that person has to be immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and at least four should accompany the person during their trip to the hospital.

The Empress Merita has a personal security detail called the Imperial High Guard. This detail works as the monarch's honour guard, close protection and facility security service. The Imperial High Guard's personnel are professional soldiers recruited from the Union's member states' militaries. There are 50 guards in the force at any one time.

The guards work with the servants of the monarchy in the imperial residences, and with the police and military services of other nations when outside. They also work with the Imperial Low Guard that secures the edifices of the Union and protects its high officials. The Imperial High Guard are known for their high morale and quick action while in duty.

The Imperial High Guards have four squads of twelve soldiers each. The First Squad are the Empress' bodyguards; the Second Squad are the Imperial Family's bodyguards; the Third Squad are the Imperial Residences' facility security; and the Fourth Squad are the Imperial Offices' facility security. The remaining two soldiers deal with clerical and administrative duties as the Zero Group.

The Imperial High Guard has a chief, four lieutenants and sixteen sergeants. The remaining twenty-seven are privates. The chief and a private is at Zero Group, while the squads have a lieutenant and four sergeants and twelve privates. The chief has a largely ceremonial role: leading the honour guard, chairing meetings and confirming decisions. The lieutenants and sergeants are the decision-makers in the Guards.

A team of four soldiers, a sergeant and three privates, accompany the empress and/or an imperial family member when they are outside the imperial residences. The teams take turns in service, with each team working for a full day. On ceremonial observances, all teams and squads are on duty. When the imperial family is on vacation, a team from each squad will follow the family while the remainders are on regular duty.

The high guards have four uniforms: a ceremonial livery of taupe shirts, black trousers, black boots and red berets; a mess dress of red dinner jackets, black waistcoats, white dress shirts, black neckties, black trousers and black derbies; a duty uniform of white shirts, black trousers, white berets and black boots; and an exercise uniform of grey tracksuits, green-white striped tank tops, navy sport shorts and black trainers.

The royal family are protected by a special armed force called the Cynehere (‘Kingly/Royal Army’), who’re usually recruited from the Landhere (‘Army’) with some exceptions being former mercenaries, knights errant or commoners who’ve proven their loyalty and worth. The Cynehere also acts as a brotherhood of sorts, joined together by their loyalty to the Crown and each other. Retinues of Cyneheremenn accompany the King, his close relatives and friends, and key government ministers wherever there may be a threat. The Hláfordbebodere (‘Lord-Commander’) is the nominal leader of the Cynehere, accountable to the King and his council.

The armour and wear of Cyneheremenn has not yet been OOCly decided.

The Queen of Vallermoore has a bodyguard of sailors with rifles, batons and fixed bayonets. The President of the Central Committee has armed police as bodyguards, but not a large number of them. He also knows some nasty attack spells which being a sapient unicorn, he can discharge from his horn.

The Crown Guard (Spanish: Guardia de la Corona) is an independent unit of the Military Forces that is dedicated to the protection of the Crown and members of the Oronian Royal Family. Operated under the Military Chamber, the military establishment within the Royal Household Agency, it currently has a strength of over 2000 troops. While the guard does participate in parades and other ceremonial events, it is a fully functional combat unit, with its members – recruited from the ranks of all branches of the Military Forces – having received the same combat training as regular soldiers.

The Presidential Guard (Spanish: Guardia Presidencial) ensures the safety of the President of the United Realms, the Vice President of the United States, the President-elect of the United Realms, the Vice President-elect of the United Realms, and their immediate families; former presidents, their spouses, and their minor children under the age of 16; major presidential and vice-presidential candidates and their spouses; and visiting foreign heads of state and heads of government. By custom, it also provides protection to any other persons as directed by the President (usually the Villa Antü chief of staff and Director of National Security, among others). The Presidential Guard also provides physical security for the Villa Antü Complex; the vice president's residence; the principal private residences of the president, vice president, and former presidents; and all foreign diplomatic missions in Antüria.

The Syagrot monarchy has long been protected by the Imperial Persikós Guard. These elite guardsmen, often seen in ceremonial brass armor- or not seen at all, accompany the Emperor and his family always. The Persikós order of Knights has served the Imperial family for centuries, all of them descended from a faction of the royal family of bygone Persia, the Sasanids. The ancient Empire of Persia and Imperial Syagros were fierce allies, often standing together against the Syagrot's mortal enemies, the Spartan Greeks. Upon the marriage of Emperor Vulcan VI to the King of King Cyrus the Greats daughter, Princess Samira, he presented several of his sons and nephews to serve the Emperor as guards. The modern guardsmen are descendants of these royal Knights, long maintaining their orders loyalty to the Emperor, traditional Zoroastrian beliefs, and the way of the sword.

Professionally, they carry modern weaponry, as well out-fitted as any secret service should be, but they're known across the world for their ceremonial gear that is unrivaled for its aesthetic. They are also closer to the Imperial family than most services, with several of the guards historically having even entered into the Imperial family itself, with at least two Sasanids, a gender-neutral service, marrying their lieges.

Indian Empire's Prime Minister, alongside cabinet officials and other politicians of importance, do have bodyguards. The bodyguards try to be protective, but also minimally intrusive to the politician's privacy.

The PM's bodyguards largely blend in to the general population as to not look out of place in a crowd, and as a result, bodyguards tend to wear casual clothes, and often have a means of defense if necessary on them in a personable way. Bodyguards, largely, always accompany the leader, but are often instructed not to follow them into specific places- such as the Prime Minister's residence or the bathroom, and instead guard the doors to these establishments and control who enters- usually, the only people allowed to enter are people considered trusted by the leader who have been approved by government intelligence.

Only on very rare occassions do the leader's bodyguards wear uniforms. Usually, this only occurs in formal settings, such as meetings with foreign leaders.

President Joshua Disraeli has a major security team with him at all times, assisted by the Marine Corps. Some wear military uniforms, but most others are in plainclothes and blend in with the crowd. Oftentimes, they liquidate enemies before they have an opportunity to attack the President.

Like the nobles, the Grand Duke keeps a personal retinue of soldiers, both as guards and as a small military elite. The ones closer usually are known as Huscarls, but Obudshaers are also known to aid, though they usually guard palace entrances etc, whereas the Huscarls act as more personal guards.

our entire council in a sense bodyguard each other.
there are also of course a cadre of bodyguards that protect all council members, as not one member is any more leader then another.

these don't wear suits, but do dress to blend in wherever their duties might take them.
they do wear those little audio amplifier things that you see secret service agents in the u.s., though perhaps i little less conspicuously.
they also have iff transponder chips subcutinously in the region of their right wrists.

they are also equiped with bracers of stun, belt of xendu, and staff of themnax, though not always all of these at the same time.
our council members themselves may also wear or carry such items at their own preference and discression.

On Coconut Palm Island, the King's Royal Guard is the premier federal law enforcement agency, and handles everything from protection of officials, to solving crimes, to patrolling highways neighborhoods. The Royal Guard is under the direct control of King Alexander, and have headquarters inside the Royal Palace, where the King lives and the Senate meets.

The Royal Guard typically protects King Alexander with eight elite Royal Guard agents, who work with local law enforcement; the number increases if the national threat level rises. Each Cabinet member, Senator, and Supreme Court Justice is assigned two elite agents.

The Royal Guard also guard the physical locations of the Royal Palace and the Supreme Court. Protecting the Royal Palace is crucial, as the King and Senate are often both present in the Palace at the same time. This also includes patrolling the airspace and sea (as the Palace is on the beach) near the Palace. Contrary to what one may expect, the Royal Guard is professional, yet highly informal. They don't stand in one place wearing ceremonial uniforms. Instead, their uniforms are polo shirts and jeans, and they're often seen pacing around talking into radios, and sometimes will be seen chatting with the King and nearby Senators when time permits.

Because officials, including the King, usually have small security teams, they rely on the all-volunteer civilian militia to step up in an extraordinary emergency. The King and other high-level officials carry a "red button" about the size of a car key-- when activated, it broadcasts an emergency text message to the phone of every civilian militia volunteer in the area, hoping that at least some of the recipients will back up the Royal Guard.
