The Democratic Federation of Arpasia, commonly called Arpasia is a large nation situated the far fringes of eastern Altropa, bordered by the nations of Esterland to the northwest, Aldonia to the west, Lisperia to the southwest and Montegarre to the Southwest. Arpasia consists of 12 regions and 2 overseas territories, a population of 42.1 million inhabitants and it covers 3.3150 Square Kilometers of land from Sante to the west to La Montegarre in the east.
Most of Arpasia's citizens live in the capital city of Philippeaux and the biggest city of Marcia. The Cities of Charlevoix, Saint Laura and Pontchartrain are being made to house diplomatic officers from other countries, but by far, Pontchartrain is experiencing an infrastructure project to expand it's metropolitan area, and business district, so it's open for other nations to make plans for what to build there as a future international project.
Philippeaux
Philippeaux is Arpasia's capital city, as well as it's own administrative region. Philippeaux is founded in roughly 1354 by Saint Alphonso of the Arpics. Philippeaux was once it's own duchy in 1370, where it remained independent for 24 years. Philippeaux was designated as the capital city of the Arpasian kingdom in 1677, and in 1945, Philippeaux was opened to embassy construction. Nowadays, Philippeaux is a very vibrant city with a youthful vibe, where trade, business live in harmony with everyday life.
Marcia
Marcia is Arpasia's largest city, being barely 1x larger than Philippeaux. Marcia has been Arpasia's center of science and education for more than 350 years, and continues to do so to this very day. Marcia just lies off the Eastern Arpandian Coast, and is being fed by the Marquois river that flows from the northwest to the southeast. Marcia's metropolitan area is expanded by 34% during 1936, and has nearly doubled in population after it's expansion, Marcia also has some interesting stone castles, 154 of them are estimated to be in the city. Marcia's darkest hour was during the Great Fire of Marcia of 1721, in which a housefire got out of control and rapidly spreads towards the city's southwestern edges. Overall, Marcia is regards it's past as something that needs to be remembered.
Pontchartrain
Pontchartrain is regarded as Arpasia's most advanced city, and it is also where the nation's most prestigious engineering university , Marc Bernard university lies. Pontchartrain has the highest centered population of youth in all of Arpasia. Pontchartrain is a relatively young city, being built in 1903, 9 years before the workers revolution of 1912, as an alternative place for people to move in, rather that the densely packed cities of Marcia and Philippeaux. During the 1912 workers revolution, République square was the sight of public rebel executions, by 1914, the executions were stopped. During the 1960s, the city began to advance in education and technology, because the city's port is where most foreign goods were shipped to. Pontchartrain is another colorful city among many in Arpasia.
Charlevoix
Charlevoix is seen as Arpasia's "inland jewel", for it's still surviving brick buildings from the late 1700s to the early 1800s. The city itself is named after Charles II of the of Piquellon, even though Charlevoix is located in the region of Levant, far away from Piquellon. Charlevoix was built in 1678, during the Monarchial era, where every region has their autonomy. The city itself is located not far away from Pontchartrain bay, fed by the Pollais river that flows from east to west, it is also located in the Polcovian Basin, Near Levant and Galatine. The busy population of this city works 24/7, making the city and it's surroundings as an important regional powerhouse.
Saint Laura
Saint Laura is located near the slopes of the Southern Arpasian Alps, making it a relatively cold place to live. But in the lower regions, farmers primarily plant wheat and vegetables that are essential food supplies to the city, but the city itself isn't too high above the mountain tops. Saint Laura are renowned for their snow festivals held twice a year at every September, here, snowball fights and snowmen are a common sight during the snow season, and artists from all around the world gather to build their own ice sculptures. Other than that, Saint Laura is also known for having mid-19th century brick houses and hearty food, though, it's amazing how the tall buildings that stand in the city center is able to stand the snow, or better yet, imagine the conditions during their construction.
