In practise insulting any recognised religion would likely fall foul of this law even if the people following it weren’t deliberately insulted.

The punishment for breaking this is 2-10 years of rehabilitation and labour as well as suspension or expulsion from the Communist Party and dishonourable discharge from the military if applicable.

Technically its illegal to make speeches or publications insulting a particular religious group but the secular Philippinaean government is too busy enforcing laws that are more relevant so someone here can insult a religious group with no legal consequence, unless they provoked civil unrest.

Blasphemy is perfectly legal in the Federal Republic of Brazil. All references to blasphemy have been removed in the 1992 Criminal Code, but blasphemy isn't protected by free speech laws, which means it can be banned if the Federal Congress passes a new law outlawing blasphemy.

Blasphemy is a treason in Great Nortend, punishable by death. However, the last person to be burnt for blasphemy was John Grove in 1703. It is nowadays more common for it to be tried in the Court of Chancery Chamber as a misdemeanour per clementia, and punishment often amounts to only penance, apology and compensation, or at worse, public humiliation, loss of alms or excommunication. Blasphemy can also be tried in the Courts of King's Chamber and of Common Chamber, where capital punishment, imprisonment, amercement and injunction are still possible.

Although two states within Ganud have proposed laws to make blasphemy illegal, legislation has not ratified or vetoed the laws for over 149 years and counting. Because the government has so many checks and balances on the functionality of the central government, creating and approving regulations is impossible without almost unanimous agreement among the four chambers of legislation. State officials can bribe certain people to turn a blind eye to the national government as a solution. Thus, allowing for states to do as they please. However, vigilantes mainly take care of law enforcement, and since no laws stating that they can't follow specific laws choose not to enforce laws. So no, blasphemy is not technically illegal, but not many pay attention in the first place.

Blasphemy is illegal in Val'Grazia and is punishable by death by stoning. Blasphemy itself is classified as being any speech that insults the Gods, such as denying their divine nature and misrepresenting their personality. Also, cursing the Gods or any other direct insults towards the Gods are also classified as blasphemy. The Church has also been lobbying to make the worship of a God outside the official Church-sponsored pantheon illegal, however, this has been opposed by the Szarian people, who worship an extended pantheon of Gods.

It is still theoretically illegal to defame the Orthodox Church, and punishable by life imprisonment. However, nobody has been prosecuted under this law since 1951.

The Aikolandais law prohibiting blasphemy was formally repealed in 1995, during the premiership of Catherine Affré of the Social Democratic Party. The law, which prohibited the public mockery, insulting, or attack on any religion practised by a resident of Aikoland and proscribed a punishment of 150 ₣ or imprisonment of no greater than 45 days, had not seen anyone charged for violating it since 1948 and no one had been convicted of violating the law since 1909.

Since 1995, there have been no blasphemy laws in the Empire of Aikoland.

Blasphemy law in the North American Union:

In four provinces, mainly in the Caribbean, there are laws against blasphemy but they are not enforced. Fines and prison sentences are mentioned in law but there is no enforcement of such laws for many years though occasionally brought up during feuds between people or between organizations. Two provinces exclude blasphemy as exempt from libel justifications, meaning they cannot be used for accusing people of libel. Fair reporting defence against libel is typically used against blasphemous libel accusations.

For the remaining 45 provinces and the four Autonomous Indigenous Nations, blasphemy is legal with the common law offence of blasphemous libel abolished by statute in provincial Toleration Acts or Equal Rights Acts.

There are no laws pertaining to the banning/limitation of blasphemy in Indonesia, and the practice is considered as free speech, thus protected by Chapter X. However in the province of Aceh, known for it's implementation of Sharia, blasphemy is considered illegal and punishable by canings.

It is legal in the rest of the country, with all remaining blasphemy laws abolished during Suharto's early reign in 1970.

Blasphemy is legal in Andronya.
There are few limitations to freedom of speech in Andronya, and in the case of blasphemy there is no state punishment whatsoever for it.
However, you must also be careful with it; individuals and private businesses have a right to refuse service as well, and considering Andronya is a fairly Christian country there is a good chance you could get in trouble for blasphemy.
Furthermore, the right to Mutual-Combat also exists in Andronya, and even though it doesn't allow the usage of any weapons, only your own body, if you insult someone's religion, that person takes it badly and you take it as far as to decide to physically fight the other person over your right to freedom of speech you should at least make sure it's a fight you can finish.

Freedom of speech is guaranteed absolute in the Commonwealth of Narland. Like any Constitutional Republic based on Common Law, this never magically waives the consequence of criminal activity. Blasphemy and freedom of speech are not antithetical. Civil enforcement of blasphemy in the Commonwealth is limited to forensically demonstrable:
1. slander/libel against the Diety or his attributes in a malicious attempt to bully, intimidate or wound another person's conscience (including one' s reasonably derived sincerely held beliefs) in the beneficent practice thereof;
2. or defame one in the in the lawful exercise of their right to free exercise of religion; to spread lawlessness (outlawry), incite physical harm upon another thereby;
3. or otherwise deprive/deny a person of their right to life, liberty, and property in the name of God or his attributes.

Capital Blasphemy: The last person executed for blasphemy was in 1972.
The self-titled "Reverend" Joskell Wayne Randelle claimed that God told him that his cult members were to give them all their possessions (including bank account access). He tricked them into an abandoned fallout shelter, locked it and left 62 men, women, and children to die (of which only 1 person survived). He left on a world cruise and was apprehended by the Commonwealth Fleet in the Indian Ocean. He was brought back to the Commonwealth to face charges for blaspheming God by murder, fraud, and deceit.

Non-Capital Blasphemy: The last person convicted of blasphemy for a non-capitol offense was 6 months ago.
The Tele-Evangelist Bensy Meyer Osteland III whose "ministry" was a scheme that routinely committed fraud and criminal extortion. His last act was to promise that any person sending his "ministry" 50 Narquid (the equivalent of S3 400 US), he would send them an anointed cheese-cloth that would cause God to heal the sick and get demons off of their dishes. He was fined 90% of the ministry's worth (given back to his victims), his ministry was disbanded, and he was sent to the Arkington Asylum for the Criminally Insane for 5 years with other charges pending. He will most likely spend 20 years hard labor for his crimes of irreligion. The rest of his holdings (10%) are in a conservatorship for Osteland's wife and children for their care and sanity.

Blasphemy towards a variety of religions is prohibited within the Caliphate, regarding Islam itself and a number of protected religions such as Christianity, Judaism and Buddhism. However the punishment for this crime is not particularly great, consisting of a fine proportional to income. Ultimately, anti-blasphemy laws are less to do with insulting a particular religion and more about securing social harmony within the multireligious if islamic-dominated territories of the Caliphate.

Completely legal under freedom of speech. As long as someone is not using someone else's religion as a motive to commit or encourage violence against an individual, then it becomes hate speech.

No Such Thing as Blasphemy In Our Nation

Postby The Canadian Republic Colonies » Thu Sep 30, 2021 3:01 pm

The Canadian Republic Colonies not only has no national religion, but takes an atheistic, scientific, human approach to things. We do not have nor will we ever have any law about blasphemy because as far as we are concerned, the very idea of blasphemy is a tool of repression, discrimination against beliefs other than one's own, and a cornerstone of a group's idea of supremecy over those it disagrees with by harbouring a covert sense of animosity disguised as defense of one's deity.

In fact we do have a law in which we expressly forbid any religious, fraternal, or other organization to use their creed and practices as a means of discrimination. It is Amendment 1 of the Constitution of The Canadian Republic Colonies.

The text of the amendment is included here, and there are several provisions of this amendment that follow and can be viewed in the factbook of our nation's Amendment 1.

Amendment 1:
It is hereby established that in all areas of practice, duties, administration, and existence that any religious or fraternal organization (or other common group informally or formally established), that no such body retains the right to discriminate against any individual of a protected class under the Constitution of The Canadian Republic Colonies. It shall never be inferred that one's freedom to personal religion or belief of any sort shall constitute the freedom to discriminate against a protected class. Any such practices shall be treated as hate crimes and be fully enforceable and punishable to the utmost extent of the law.

The Constitution of TurtleShroom prohibits the criminalization of blasphemy. The state cannot and will not arrest you for blaspheming or mocking God, but that doesn't mean that it shields you from the consequences of your actions.

The Board of Censors prohibits moral indency, swearing, sex, etc., but allows for political dissent and controversy. Blasphemous publications would only be censored if they were sexual, pornographic or obscene. Anything that is not obscene is protected speech.
