Please describe how your country deals with theocratic nations in the international community when it comes to matters of trade, commerce, industry, and finance.

We only tolerate theocratic nations if their religion is more liberal or leftist, we do not trade or collaborate with authoritarian theocracies as they are seen as immoral and a violation of human rights.

(Diplomacy - Open Response)
Please describe how your country deals with theocratic nations in the international community when it comes to matters of sovereignty, war, peace, foreign policy, and world projects.

Same as above, however it is the goal of the military to both defend the country and to destroy any totalitarian regimes. We are quite aggressive to any fascist/theocratic nations as we believe all humans deserve the right to follow whatever religion they please, as long as it doesn't discriminate against a specific community, such as women, lgbt, ect.
Liberal Socialist. Pro freedom, equality, LGBT, gun ownerships, separation of church and state, voting equality, worker's rights, defensive/protective military, etc.
Anti misogyny, imperialism, censorship, authoritarianism, corporate greed, religious extremism
All races are EQUAL. They all matter, but one does not matter more than the other.
All GENDERS are equal. Women are not better than men, men are not better than women. They are EQUAL, and should be treated as such.
Legal urban exploration, any building not in use does not belong to the government.

1) What does your country's government think of theocracy? Much respect is given to devout nations, as religion is highly valued in the United Realms; the nation has a state religion, with the King being the head of the church. And while the government has not issued an official stance towards theocracy, legislation in 1910 that proposed a theocratic government was almost unanimously rejected by the Congreso Nacional.
2) What does your country's people think of theocracy? Similarly, while the people have great respect for devout nations, they are strongly opposed to living within a theocratic nation.
3) What percentage of your country's general population is religious? Over 90% of the general population is religious.
4) Is religiousness in your country growing, declining, or stagnated? Religiousness in the United Realms is growing.

(Economic Policy - Open Response)
Please describe how your country deals with theocratic nations in the international community when it comes to matters of trade, commerce, industry, and finance: Religion, particularly its status within governments, is not generally considered when discussing trade and finance in the international community, although the United Realms might have reservations if there are human rights concerns as a result of a theocratic nation's policies.

(Diplomacy - Open Response)
Please describe how your country deals with theocratic nations in the international community when it comes to matters of sovereignty, war, peace, foreign policy, and world projects: Again, religion and its status within governments, is not generally considered. However, the United Realms is a staunch supporter of basic human rights, and the nation will condemn or sanction nations - theocratic or not - if those rights are violated.

Our country trades with most theocracies, specifically Jewish and Christian ones. Muslim ones tend to be looked down upon.

Hello All,

Rho Ophiuchi's responses are shown below.

Country IS NOT Theocratic

Your Nation: The City-State of Rho Ophiuchi
Current Leader: No singular leader currently exists.
Type of Leadership: (Monarch, Dictator, President, Prime Minister, etc.) Director General, but the position is currently empty.
Government Type: Plutocratic Oligarchy
Economic System: Laissez-faire Capitalism
Unit System: (Imperial, Metric, Other) Metric
Date Founded: 1963
State Religion(s): (if applicable) Non-applicable
National Ideology/Ideologies: (if applicable) Minarchism with Anarcho-capitalist ideals

(General - Fill-in-the-Box)
Your Nation is Officially:
(Mark 1 box with an X.)
[X] Secular and/or Neutral
[] Atheist and/or Antireligionist

Your Nation's Government is:
(Mark All That Apply with an X.)
[X] Anarchist
[X] Democratic (Direct Democracy)
[] Republican (Representative Democracy)
[X] Authoritarian
– () Absolute Monarchist
– () Limited Monarchist
– (X) Dictatorial*
[] Totalitarian (Extreme Authoritarianism)
*Rho Ophiuchi is in the odd position of having an oligarchic government that claims to be a democracy (with fake elections), while having no real power, leaving most of the country to be essentially run by corporations and militias. This makes it officially a democracy, but in reality a mixture of oligarchy and anarchy.

Your Nation's Economy is:
(Mark All That Apply with an X.)
[X] Market
– (X) Pure Capitalist
– () Mixed Capitalist
– () State Capitalist
[] Command
– () Marxist-Leninist
– () Market Socialist
– () Democratic Socialist
[] Traditional
[] Other (Mercantilism, Feudalism, Etc.)

Your Nation's Government Leans Overall:
(Mark 1 box with an X.)
[] Far-Left
[] Left-Wing
[X] Center-Left*
[] Moderate/Centrist
[] Center-Right
[] Right-Wing
[X] Far-Right*
*The government is far-right on economic issues, and center-left on social ones.

Your Nation's People Lean Overall:

[X] Moderate/Centrist*

(General - Open Response
1) What does your country's government think of theocracy? The corporations that run the government think of it as another way to run a nation, though not one that would be as profitable as the current system if implemented in Rho Ophiuchi.
2) What does your country's people think of theocracy? A minority fervently praise it, a minority fervently oppose it, and the majority do not care.
3) What percentage of your country's general population is religious? 86.0%, but the largest religion, Christianity, has only 39.1% of the country following it, so no religion has a majority.
4) Is religiousness in your country growing, declining, or stagnated? Religiousness has stagnated.

(Economic Policy - Open Response)
Please describe how your country deals with theocratic nations in the international community when it comes to matters of trade, commerce, industry, and finance. In general, Rho Ophiuchi is open to trade with anyone for anything, so it usually requests as much free trade and reduction of tariffs as possible. This applies to theocracies as well.

(Diplomacy - Open Response)
Please describe how your country deals with theocratic nations in the international community when it comes to matters of sovereignty, war, peace, foreign policy, and world projects. Rho Ophiuchi is open to diplomacy with almost anyone (with a preference for those that trade a lot), and so it usually requests mutual embassy establishment, mutual recognition of borders and legitimacy, and then continues to pursue its trading incentives. However, as there are no barriers to Rho Ophiuchian citizenship, some more oppressive theocracies may become displeased with Rho Ophiuchi for not facilitating the extradition of fleeing criminals.

Country IS Theocratic (however, as a matter of fact every country is a theocracy because God is the LORD)

Your Nation: The Eagle State
Current Leader: President John Estel Mayer
Type of Leadership: Lord Protector, President (who's King of a hegemonial power at the same time)
Government Type: Colonial protectorate
Economic System: Mixed capitalism
Unit System: Imperial
Date Founded: 26 May 2022 as a colony
State Religion(s): Catholicism
National Ideology/Ideologies: (if applicable) It would most likely be referred to as paleoconservative, far-right, alt-right, reactionary and by some as fascist.

Your Nation's Government is:
(Mark All That Apply with an X.)
[] Anarchist
[] Democratic (Direct Democracy)
[] Republican (Representative Democracy)
[X] Authoritarian
– () Absolute Monarchist
– (X) Limited Monarchist

– () Marxist-Leninist

[] Other (Mercantilism, Feudalism, Etc.)

Your Nation's Government Leans Overall:

[] Far-Left

[] Moderate/Centrist
[] Center-Right
[] Right-Wing
[X] Far-Right

(History - Open Response)
1) When did your country first become theocratic? Since it became conquered by a hegemonial power and became its colony.
2) Why did your country become theocratic in the first place? It was conquered by another power as a result of more and more liberal laws within the Eagle State. The King of the hegemonial power fell in love with a woman from the Eagle State (at that time it was a state of the USA) and they married. When the Eagle State abolished capital punishment, the hegemonial power conquered it from the U.S. and made it a colony. It abolished the liberal laws, reintroduced capital punishment and made the Eagle State pious again.
3) Has the power of your country's main religious governing body increased, decreased, of stayed about the same in the last 20 years? Increased.
4) What has been the most threatening or ongoing kind of resistance against the theocratic establishment, if there even has been any? During the war it was the liberal governor of the Eagle State and the liberal (and illegitimate) President of the USA. Now as a colony, there is no resistance.

(Modern Trends - Open Response)
1) On a scale of 1-10, how lenient or controlling is the current main religious authority toward the general populace overall? [1 = Extremely Lenient, Barely Authoritative, 10 = Extremely Controlling, Totally Authoritative] About 7 and increasing.
2) On a scale of 1-10, how supportive or opposed is the country's general population toward the current main religious authority overall? [1 = Mostly Supportive, 10 = Mostly Opposed] About 5 and decreasing (i.e. increasing in support). The fact that you use 1 as "supportive" proves your own anti-religious stance even if most people are supportive and that is making you biased and this questionnaire as well.
3) Does your younger population (12-39) overall view religious governance positively, neutrally, or negatively? Neutrally, and more and more view it positively.
4) Does your older population (40+) overall view religious governance positively, neutrally, or negatively? Positively.
5) On a scale of 1-10, how important does the average citizen personally view the religion of the current main religious authority? [1 = Essential, 10 = Unimportant] More and more residents view it more and more positively. Again OP is showing their detest towards a religious government.
6) Has religious influence overall in the country's society been increasing, decreasing, or staying relatively unchanged? Increasing since its colonization.
7) How often does the average citizen set aside time for spirituality? More and more often.
8) How often does the average citizen practice the official religion? What do you mean "practice"? Eagle State residents pray more and more and everyone attends church each Sunday and Feast Day, and some residents even during the week.

(Legality - Fill-in-the-Box)
Your Nation's Constitution and/or Legal System Does Not Allow:
(Mark All That Apply with an X.)
[X] Blasphemy
[] Apostasy
[X] Adultery
[X] Fornication
[X] Polygamy/Polyandry
[] Insobriety
[X] Homosexuality
[X] (Other) Abortion (even though it is just plain science that a human is a human from conception)
[X] Contraceptives
[]

(Legality II - Open Response)
1) What are the possible punishments in your country for committing any of the acts as marked above? It can range from fines to capital punishment (capital punishment is for murder, so it includes abortion).
2) Does your country's religious authority work directly in cooperation with the political system? Yes, more and more.
3) Is the head of state in charge over the religious authority's administration? No, I would say it's a cooperation between the government and the Catholic Church. However, through laws the government makes sure that the Catholic Church really practices true and correct faith, e.g. by forbidding communion on hand (allowing only communion on the tongue) or by forbidding "extraordinary Eucharistic ministers" (only clergy are allowed to distribute the Most Holy Eucharist).
4) Does your country's religious authority have its own police agencies, courts, criminal justice system, or educational institutions? The Church owns some schools and universities.
5) Does your country's religious authority have its own banks, hospitals, military forces, independent territories, or security? If so, to what extent? The Church owns some hospitals.
6) Are your country's religious authority's leaders and subservient staffers able to resign at any time? In accordance to the will of the Pope. This isn't a matter of Eagle State politics.
7) How long are your country's religious authority's leaders and subservient staffers allowed to serve in their positions? See above question.
8) What are the qualifications for service in your country's main religious authority? For priests and bishops, having studied theology.

(Legality III - Open Response)
1) May women hold positions within your country's religious authority? Yes, as nuns.
2) May foreigners (noncitizens) hold positions within your country's religious authority? Yes.
3) May underage children or teenagers hold positions within your country's religious authority? Yes, as acolytes.
4) May religious minorities hold positions within your country's religious authority? Um, no? "Religious minorities" are in another religion, obviously.
5) May homosexuals and other sexual minorities hold positions within your country's religious authority? No. They must get rid of that sin first.
6) May racial and/or ethnic minorities hold positions within your country's religious authority? Yes.
7) May naturalized citizens hold positions within your country's religious authority? Of course?
8) May humanoid AI beings hold positions within your country's religious authority? Of course not.

(Legality IV - Open Response)
1) Can anyone lawfully challenge any ruling or decision made by your country's religious authority? Only the government, see Legality II / Question 3.
2) Are other religions allowed to be practiced in your country? Other than Catholicism, certain other denominations of Christianity are allowed. Other than Christianity, Judaism is allowed as well.
3) Can your country's religious authority issue search warrants or order performances of search-and-seizure without a warrant? No, but they can ask the government in case something like that would really be needed.
4) Must all marriages and/or divorces be approved by your country's religious authority? Meanwhile yes (but civil marriages entered into before the Eagle State's colonization are recognized by the government). Only the Pope can annul a marriage in special cases.
5) Must all criminal cases be overseen by your country's religious authority? No. Sometimes grave sinners are examined by clergy and possibly sent to an exorcist.

(Everyday Affairs - Open Response)
Please describe what an average day is like in your country for your country's legal citizens.
That is none of my or your business. As stated above, residents pray a lot and attend service on Sundays and Feast days.

[b](Views of Other Nations and Their Societies - Open Response)

Please describe how your country's general public, government, and religious authorities see the world around them, what they think of secular or antireligionist nations and people, and how foreign affairs are conducted. The Eagle State's government and clergy say that mankind is becoming more and more evil, especially in the western hemisphere of Earth. More and more residents are recognizing this as well.

(Social Liberty - Open Response)
1) On a scale of 1-10, how free or unfree are your country's people? [1 = Extremely Free, 10 = Not Free, Totally Controlled] Liberals would say rather "unfree"/"controlled". I would say the opposite. Eagle State residents are more and more free from sin, above all.

(Social Liberty II - Open Response)
Please describe to the best of your ability what freedom overall looks like for your country's citizens, summarizing what they can and cannot do, how often they can and cannot do something, where they may go, etc. Discos are forbidden because the heathenish dancing there would open one for sin.

(Ending Section - Open Response)
Is there anything else you would like to detail about your country, your country's people, culture, history, or about your country's religious authorities? Before colonization, the clergy suffered a bit under the liberal government and some (by that time) liberal residents. But it's over now.

(History - Open Response)
1) When did your country first become theocratic? 1389
2) Why did your country become theocratic in the first place? It was determined that the method the Hanseatic merchants use to make money were objectionable. A grassroots reactionary religious movement grew and supported a certain Wilmann, someone with a distant connection of the last Wiegand king of the Zuidrians. The average Free Kathen citizen goes about their life, doing work within their cooperative and interacting with others. They may get time off if there's a festival or some event of great significance. On the 7th day of the week, they go to church and observe Theoist rites. For the most part, life is normal.

Please describe how your country's general public, government, and religious authorities see the world around them, what they think of secular or antireligionist nations and people, and how foreign affairs are conducted.
Free Kathen's people in general don't really have much of a problem with secular governments. They believe that, while their government is better, as long as they aren't oppressing their people and have democratic institutions, that they can be reasoned with and can even be allies. They have a massive problem with antireligious nations and people, however, as they view religious oppression as a truly terrible thing that no one should have to endure.

(Social Liberty II - Open Response)
Please describe to the best of your ability what freedom overall looks like for your country's citizens, summarizing what they can and cannot do, how often they can and cannot do something, where they may go, etc.
Generally, Kathenese people are free to live their lives how they see fit. They can dress how they want, romance who they want, be whatever gender they want, be as inebriated as they want, or anything else they desire. So long as they don't harm others, the people of Free Kathen are able to live as they please without worrying about a religious authority breathing down their necks.

(Ending Section - Open Response)
Is there anything else you would like to detail about your country, your country's people, culture, history, or about your country's religious authorities?
While Free Kathen's central document, the Shepherd's Charter, is based heavily on religion, there are no central state religious authorities. Every congregation within Free Kathen is able to do as they see fit without any government agents breathing down their necks.
