Any book that is against our government, in any way, shape, or form, is contraband. They are confiscated and burned.
We even have a Ministry of Information to ensure that 'proper' books, are given out to the people. May their knowledge of Orlesia be great, and only great.

Are there any books that are banned in your nation?: Yes
What are they and why?:

- The Chains of Intimacy women's romance novels by Terry Bolan. They were popular with women in pre-War San Andreas when they weren't cheating on their husbands or doing yoga. Banned after the War and after the declaration of the Republic due to distracting women from the nuclear shithole they live in and putting them off the drudgery of farm work.

- We All Came From The Same Tree - The Science of the Epsilon Program by Epsilon Program founder Cris Fromage. It was a book used by powerful yet moronic Vinewood celebrities before the war to convince other poorer morons into their pseudo-religion. Now that its the founding text of one of the Republic's enemies, no way Jose is that shit allowed.

- Hitting Kids Works Wonders by former US Marine Alan McClean, written before the War. It was briefly followed by the Republic after its establishment as its key Education policy guidance until it was realized it was going to create weirdos who like spanking/make farm work harder. It was eventually banned completely by pushy parents who were OK with their kids drinking irradiated water, but not getting smacked.

- Women Are Idiots by some pre-War man named Nick Lancaster. It was banned immediately upon the Republic's first female president's inauguration. No idea why.

We're currently fighting a just and not at all drawn-out war in the Senora Wasteland against the Roman cosplaying enslaving scumbags known as Caligulas Legion! Suck it and die from your 'headaches', you bald b*stard.
Are you aggressively coked-out? Do you join regions for no reason? Do you like copious amounts of drugs, eating Mexican food from taco trucks and the searing hot desert sun? Join Calexico and Mexicali then, moron.
Do you too wish to patrol the Senora, almost making you wish for a nuclear winter? If so, consider joining our Embassy Program

A similar "Books banned by the colonial government" book is circulated among certain political outsiders. The colonial government in New Sendai denies any validity, but also destroys copies of the book found.

Unless you have airtight control of media, your attempt to censor Mein Kampf may have the unintended consequence of making the book more known. Anyhow, presuming that you want to censor Mein Kampf because of its ideology, would you ban the works of religious groups such as Christian Identity who also view Jews negatively? Are certain religions "acceptable for the public", and if so, who has the right to make such judgement (in a society that respects freedom of religion)?

A range of people, but especially those who admire Adolf Hitler or are students of 20th-century German history.

I will ask again: presuming that you want to censor Mein Kampf because of its ideology, would you ban the works of religious groups such as Christian Identity who also view Jews negatively? Are certain religions "acceptable for the public", and if so, who has the right to make such judgement (in a society that respects freedom of religion)?

Anything that remotely comes close to disparaging the Empress, or the monarchy in general. This includes widely-known texts such as the US Constitution, the Communist Manifesto, and France's own 1789 Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. Promoting, disseminating, or simply possessing a copy of such treasonous literature is punishable by death.

Several books have been banned in Frostland, ranging from prominent literature such as the Violetist sacred texts to the more recent ones such as "The Hate U Give" and Ibram X. Kendi's books. The most notable book ban was Harry Potter in 2001, which attracted international criticism and led most international book publishers to quit operations in Frostland. The ban was eventually lifted in 2008, but was reinstated in 2019.
A nation of snow, frost, and unusually conservative politics.
Early January 2023 — Newly inaugurated President Vincent van Loodefrijk has received backlash over his criticism of anti-Jewish commentary among Frostish politicians. On his first day in office, the Pluricontinental Congress has already proposed a motion of no confidence against the President. Loodefrijk has refused to pardon far-right politicians imprisoned under the previous government, insisting on maintaining the integrity of moral spirit.

It depends on what you mean by "banned". You can own any book you like as long as it doesn't contain classified information. However, some books are banned from being sold in Irps bookstores and you can only find them in other countries.
