Irinaea has ten officially recognised public holidays, on which most workers are entitled to a day off and many businesses are required to close. It should be noted that if a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the following Monday is considered a public holiday in lieu.

New Year’s Day (1 Jan)
Armed Forces Day (7 Feb) – Commemorates the establishment of the Irinaean Expeditionary Force in 1915, which fought in several major campaigns in World War I, when Irinaea was still part of the British Empire. Today, the days serves as a tribute to the men and women currently serving in all three branches of the Irinaean Defence Forces.
Good Friday (Movable)
Easter Sunday (Movable)
Easter Monday (Movable)
Labour Day (1 May) – As in many other countries, this date is set aside to commemorate the victories of the labour movement, and to give thanks to all the working people of Irinaea.
Irinaea Day (8 Jul) – This is the date traditionally given for the first landing of Europeans in what is now Irinaea, in 1505. It has been a public holiday since 1905, and is a patriotic occasion similar to the 4th July or Bastille Day, during which parades are held, families and friends gather for picnics or barbecues, and fireworks displays are put on.
Remembrance Day (11 Nov) – Commemorates the Armistice of 1918. Set aside as a day of mourning and reflection on the sacrifices of Irinaean servicepeople in all wars.
Christmas Day (25 Dec)
Boxing Day (26 Dec)

The national holidays of Hasmonean Judea are identical to those of the Sadducean sect of Judaism which dominates the royal House of Hasmon, the monarchy, the priesthood, the Levitical trade, and the Sanhedrin. These include:

Sukkot- the beginning of the autumn harvest
Shemini Atzeret- the final day of Sukkot
Simchat Torah- the last day of the old Torah reading and the first day of the new

Tu B’Shevat- festival of trees
Purim- the day of deliverance from genocide
Passover- the Feast of Unleavened Bread
Lag B’Omer- interval between Passover and Shavuot

Save for foreign or worldwide & time-specific holidays, examples being New Year’s Eve and St. Patrick’s Day, Legatra only has one official public holiday. This would be the entire month of June, the holiday itself commonly being called simply “June” or “pride” in reference to pride in expression. June serves as a celebration of gender minority rights, independence, freedom in sexuality and gender identity, workers rights, happiness, and so many more different holidays, reasons, festivities, and events wrapped in one. At the start of the month celebrations tend to be all-out before dropping off towards the end off the month. Legatrans tend to throw luxurious and wild parties reminiscent of ancient Roman parties.

Another aspect of culture during pride are the laws passed in relation to the workforce during this time period. Since the labor force can not be put on hold for an entire month, workers are instead guaranteed a month (28 days to 31 depending on jurisdiction) of holiday or vacation days by law, preferably not to be used only in June and during a continuous block of the month. Regardless, many workers still take the month off, even such important professions as parliament representative, and tend to be replaced by equally qualified stand-in workers who may work only or mostly during pride. Additionally, all educational facilities must begin or have already begun summer break by the first of June, save a few.

November 2 - All souls day: A public holiday when people visit the nation's different burrial grounds and pay respect to the dead. Usualy this involves puting flowers on the person's grave or placing them on a object that was associated to that person. There is also the practice of lighting candles above where the person is burried.
December 31 - Heart warming Eve: A public holiday when people exchange gifts and have a good time.
January 31 - Lover's day: A public holiday when people in relationships can spend a whole day with oneanother. This is generaly the day you want to ask someone out if you are single.
May 1 - labour day: A public holiday when all non essential workers can relax.
Summer solitace: A day when people observe the summer solitace, a tradition left over from our Equestrian past.

Grussland, despite being official an atheist and socialist state, nonetheless has Christian roots. Some holidays were implemented by the old Communist regime to make up for lost religious holidays, but others (such as Christmas) persisted out of culture and popular significance. There are currently 12 statutory public holidays.

Listed below are the dates for 2021:

New Year's Day Fri., Jan. 1, 2021
Recognition Day Fri., Feb 26 2021 - Recognizing the lives lost in the Patriotic War of Reunification
Good Friday Fri., Apr. 2, 2021
Easter Sunday Sun., Apr. 4, 2021
Easter Monday Mon., Apr. 5, 2021
Labour Day Sat., May 1, 2021
Unity Day Wed., Jun. 30, 2021 - National day, the day of formal reunification
Break Day Thu., Jul. 1, 2021 - Basically a day off after celebrating the nation's foundation to nurse those hangovers
Family Day Tue., Aug 31, 2021
Oktoberfest Sun., Sept. 18 to Sun., Oct. 3, 2021 - Employers must provide employees with one paid day off in this two-week period.
Christmas Day Sat., Dec. 25, 2021
2nd Day of Christmas Sun., Dec. 26, 2021
Welcome to Grussland: The land of beer and bratwurst.
A modernized ex-communist country that chose reform instead of capitalism. It went through a period of de-communization and economic reform without the nasty crashes faced by other ex-communist countries by refusing wholesale adoptation of capitalism with basically zero transition.
Doesn't represent my views. Mostly me asking... what if East Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, etc had not gone down the neo-con crash capitalist route, and instituted people-oriented reforms instead?
