Per the Federal Railway Act of 1856, 1435mm gauge was chosen for use as the primary railway gauge due to both its global prevalence and the fact that all railroads originating in Seversvik used it. Prior to this standardization, a variety of gauges from 1676mm to 1000mm were present and in use as "standard" gauges. Very few narrow-gauge railroads still remain, and most of the extant ones are tramways, tourist lines, found in theme parks, or operated as museum lines by private organizations.

Standard gauge is used for most freight and passenger capacities due to ease of travel into neighboring Iran. Despite this, some narrow-gauge railways, mostly for heritage and light freight use, exist.

Yannia generally uses 1542 mm (5' 3/4") gauge, but 974 mm (3' 2 1/3") is commonly used by mountain railways.
1542 mm equals 4¾ Yannian foot, while 974 equals 3 Yannian foot.

The Koskr wrote:The Continental Rail Network of the Koškr possesses a standard rail gauge of 26ft(7924.8mm) designed for the titanic natively-used Košman trains, which are designed to be extremely high capacity, carrying thousands of passengers in one go. The standard wheel arrangement for Košman is 2-10-10-2(4-20-20-4 if the interior wheels are included), which is designed to provide the propulsion Košman require.

Do you mean that your behemoths have 4 wheels per axle? If so, what is the gauge of the interior wheels? Also, are they steam powered?

Yannia's nation page contains an error. The population should be in millions, not in billions.

1435mm is commonly used to transport materials through long distance cargo shipping. 1000mm is commonly used within cities for large capacity high speed passenger transport. Monorails are also used for lower capacity city transport.

Most of the Pulsrothi rail system utilizes 1435mm standard gauge track. High speed rail instead uses the wider 1520mm, partly because it makes connections with our neighbouring Siberian cities easier.

For historical reasons, the Mernian network uses two railway gauges; 1435 mm standard gauge is used for most lines in the east and south, while 1000 mm metre gauge is used for most lines in the west and north (including most mountain lines). There is a significant length of dual gauge tracks (mainly on the main lines of the 1000 mm network, and on international lines) to enable trains to run through both networks. All metro systems use 1435 mm, while tram networks are split between 1435 mm and 1000 mm depending on their location.

Mass transportation of people and high speed uses standard 1435 mm gauge.

Some notable exceptions are trams in Dresden are on 1450 mm rails and Namibia uses Cape Gauge of 1067 mm which is common in sub-Saharan Africa and even some Narrow 600 mm gauges were used or have been since upgraded as these lines were rails for gold and diamond mines, like in Mainland Europe.

Broad gauge is rarely used outside of specific industrial applications or for mountain funiculars and dual gauge zones at the border with Eurasia.

All railroads in the Spanish Empire are required to have a gauge of 1672 mm, except for those which are solely local with no connection to the main network, such as metros. That's so the Imperial Train can use them anywhere in the Empire—as the ruler of the world's biggest superpower, the Emperor is rightfully paranoid about his security, and train travel is viewed as being safer and more comfortable than road or air transportation. How does it get there, you ask? The Imperial Spanish Armada (the navy) maintains a special transport ship, specifically for the purpose of carrying the 2 locomotives and 6 carriages. It accompanies the Imperial Yacht wherever it goes, from America to Africa, so that the Emperor is never away from his castle on wheels.
