How much of your nations milk is still delivered in even more traditional glass bottles?: 100%. All milk in Great Nortend by law must be sold in individual glass bottles. The traditional practice of carting around a tub of milk to fill individuals' own vessels has been proscribed since 1973 for being unhygienic.

Kashimura and the empire don’t generally deal strongly in petroleum and petroleum-based products, but it is rich in sediments. Therefor, while plastics are used only when there is no alternative packaging and milk is generally only delivered to those incapable of buying it themselves, it’s quite normal to find packaging in more easily manufactured materials. In the case of milk, this is glass. Milk as a cooking ingredient does come in bags as well as boxes however.

Bagged milk is unheard of in our nation. Traditional containers such as plastic jugs and cardboard containers are most common, with a smaller percentage still being delivered in glass bottles for people paying for traditional dairy delivery. The major dairy producers have experimented with alternate designs, but consumers have reacted negatively to any changes.

How much of your nations milk comes in a traditional container: 82%
How much of your nations milk is still delivered in even more traditional glass bottles?: Under 1%; usually for specialist uses (i.e. display, farm-fresh uses)

While not uncommon, most households buy milk in recyclable cartons or jugs. Bagged milk is usually used to for bulk household purchases or, in some cases, local business use where plastic jugs or cartons add excess weight or are space inefficient.

How much of your nations milk is sold in sealed plastic bags?:
Plastic Bags: ~ 3% Introduced decades ago. Never been a popular option. Zingar must pay extra to dispose of non-reusable plastic goods.
How much of your nations milk comes in a traditional container:
Stainless Steel ~ 12% Generally double walled or Insulated. Good for about 20 years. Easily recycled/exchanged at nearest dairy outpost. Generally 5 liter, and 20 liter for most families.
Cardboard Carton ~ 25% (Disposable 8%, Reusable 17%). Usually personal sizes (e.g., 500 ml) to 2 liter.
Reusable Rigid Plastic ~ 35% Most popular option.
How much of your nations milk is still delivered in even more traditional glass bottles?:
Glass Containers ~ 25% Still used by many family run dairies. There is a deposit required, and an extra charge to dispose of glass.

Note: Zingar is not a mass-marketing consumeristic planned-obsolescent disposable goods society. Refilling stations for beverages (almost unknown in other nations except for carbonated Soda-Pop) are common at "outposts" (places to refill one's containers usually with but not always a convenience store, chemist shop, or grocery store attached.

Container color codes (lid color and at least a wide colored stripe on label):

Artificial Milk (Almond, Peanut, flax etc.) is coded light cool gray.
Fake Milk (non-dairy creamers, chemical frankenfood, anything ultrapasteurized, etc) is coded dark warm gray.

The creaminess of milk is noted by two codes, the medal code (used on main island) and the hash code (used everywhere else).
Greater than 5.0% cream: Platinum colored disk or 6 diagonal hashes (usually black, white, or violet).
5.0% cream: Gold colored disk or 5 diagonal hashes
2.5% cream: Silver colored disk or 2 1/2 diagonal hashes
1% cream: Bronze colored disk or 1 diagonal hash.
Cream totally removed: circle with an X or a black, white, or violet null sign.

How much of your nations milk is sold in sealed plastic bags?: Milk in bags is not seen as a “typical” milk container
How much of your nations milk comes in a traditional container: An odd hybrid, in that trivega sells milk in bottles, but at the store, as opposed to a delivery
How much of your nations milk is still delivered in even more traditional glass bottles?: Milk deliveries are fairly uncommon. The only notable exception is when the milk is included as part of a larger delivery of food, which has become increasingly common in the modern technological era

Most of its milk are sold in beverage cartons, some are sold in plastic bags, a few are sold in plastic jugs and there are no fresh milk subscription services in the city. Also, a few retailers, such as restaurants, will sell milk to non-diner customers if asked nicely.

How much of your nations milk is sold in sealed plastic bags?: None, we never sell any type of product in a plastic bag due to its environmental damage and borderline unusable after the milk is all used.
How much of your nations milk comes in a traditional container: Around 25-45% of all milk products are sold in Tetra Paks. We use this option for smaller amount of milk, to up to 500ml.

The Green Party of Starkindler has passed a landmark resolution in 2008 about the sustainable re-development of the economy after the effects of the 2008-2009 depression. Most of it was funded by fines, forced nationalization and liquidation of major banks, and seizing the assets of high net worth private individuals and hedge funds getting rich on the global economic collapse. Also by the redirection of funds used to fund fossil-fuel projects, fossil fuel exploration and development (all fossil fuels are thus heavily taxed, including avgas, jet fuel, CH and solid based rocket fuels. The only exception is methane, which either needs to be eliminated at the source, or captured for use, since even when burned in the most dirty way possible, it causes a 10x reduction of CO2 equivalent, than by letting it reach the atmosphere.) The assortion of bills, colloquially called "The Green New Deal" served to radically cut back the GHG and trash emissions around the Empire. While eco-friendliness are only in the top 10 % of the multiverse, and environmental beauty is only in the top 5 %, the Empress and her Parliament is now bound by the constitution to investigate the environmental effect of said bills.

According to the Green New Deal bill, the once popular packed milk have disappeared from the shelves, since the Waste Reduction Bill had banned all non-reusable plastic products, and non-reusable plastic packaging by 2012. (an exception until 2015 was granted for imported products, which created waste by making companies re-pack them into paper boxes for compliance. Now products destined to the Empire are shipped either in bulk, or in recycled paper boxes.) Since then, the most common way to purchase liquids is to bring plastic and glass (for the more eco-friendly) to the stores, and decant them from barrels. After Smith et. al. vs Imperial Foods, a warning label is put on all food decanting machines that the customer is responsible for the hygenie of the containers used to carry food, and food is considered to be hygenic to the point of decanting. This led to the resurgence of the milk men (who, being still affected by the car bans of 1944 and 1973 traditionally ride cargo bicycles which are more often than not electricified. In densely populated city centers, cargo trams and trolley trucks are used, latter of which usually have significant autonomy off the wires because of the EV resurgence in the 2010s), who now gather steel and glass containers for re-use and fill them back with whatever households need.

How much of your nations milk is sold in sealed plastic bags?: 0%. Single use plastic products are illegal.
How much of your nations milk comes in a traditional container: 25%, including store in-store re-use programs
How much of your nations milk is still delivered in even more traditional glass bottles?: 40%, packaging free home delivery is booming, ever since the Covid Crisis

The remaining is bought in reusable containers provided by the customer "packaging-free shopping", concentrated milk bought in sealed glass jars and tin cans (the government is looking at stamping those out along with single-use paper bags used for bulk products), and milk powder bought either in bulk, reused containers, or single-use paper bags.
