One weird law still on the books pertains to breakfast syrup. Since 1959, it has been illegal to refer to anything but maple syrup as "syrup." This was enacted by the Socialist Party government in order to protect the interests of northern maple farmers and sugar shacks against corn syrup and other disgusting substitutes. However, most people still call any breakfast syrup "syrup" and the law is totally unenforceable.

Another weird law!
It is "illegal" to not eat food for a period of more than 48 consecutive hours. The "punishment" is to be forcibly fed food. This law actually isn't enforced very well and would never be fully enforced.

This is a holdover from the first Great War, where the list was used to track deserters and draft-dodgers, but now is used to track political radicals and potential spies.

Later on, they are prohibited to work, travel, and enjoys the benefit of all public services. They will never be forgiven unless they paraded around the whole Empire, and apologize to the Empress directly. This law is valid for 3 generations.
