"Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mr. Kotera. Or is it pleased to make your acquaintance? I'm still not used to this whole 'Premier' work, to be honest... Anyways! Although my response is probably not as exciting as Hyeja's, as she is currently still finishing her lunch, please allow me to answer your question first. You ask about the changes I have made to our nation's government as well as various reforms I have enacted in regards to the People's Republic of Cascadia. Perhaps you expected me to answer that I was responsible for some major coalition building or changing the government structure entirely. In honesty, however, I have used neither of those methods. My main plans for passing legislation have been far more uneventful and have mostly consisted of at most various campaigns in favour of my policies to espouse their values and gain popular support. I find that the government apparatus I have inherited is very much useful for my purposes given its efficiency and fast response times. Maybe one reason for my work within the system- as opposed to outside- is my personal comfort with the slow mechanism of reform, as well as the fact our nation's socio-economic environment was nearing one of my satisfaction already. I didn't perform any wholescale overhauls, because I didn't see the need for them. I hope this answers your question well and to your satisfaction, Mr. Kotera. "Thank you for your question. As the designer of one such weapon- the SD-13 missile defense system- I hope you'll allow me to elaborate on the technical schematics and theory behind this weapon. As you mentioned, our missiles look very similar to various tools used centuries ago such as Hwatcha. In theory, they operate in a similar manner as well. In place of arrows larger metal tubes are used, their speed is much higher, and their damage potential greater, but the concept itself remains based off of fire-arrow carts: attack the enemy using long range weapons, destroying or damaging their soft and vulnerable targets en masse before they can respond. Perhaps the greatest development that would intrigue you is that targets of our Hwatcha have shifted and diversified. No longer are we limited to only attacking enemy troops or riders, but we can also fire at targets such as ships, enemy fliers, and even incoming enemy projectiles themselves. The SD-13 programme I was responsible for directing, for example, has the primary mission of removing enemy Hwatcha missiles from the sky to protect our own troops and cities. There are also other Hwatcha-type weapons we use for attacking enemy fliers, enemy ships, and enemy troops.
