Fully automatic weapons are illegal for use. To own Semi automatic weapons, pistols, shotguns and imitation firearms citizens require a firearms permit that can be obtained through any local police department, provided the citizen agrees to and passes a criminal and mental health background check.

Citizens can apply for a single, five or twelve gun permit licence. purchasing firearms the guns model and serial number must be registered onto the license by the dealer, and with current technology such a task takes as little as five minutes.

To get a gun. First you need a gun license. No automatic weapons are available for the civilian market.
You can legally buy semiautomatic short weapons. With a magazine capacity of under 10 guns. Unless you are a member of the military, the Police, private security or you have a job were a need could be useful as jeweller.
Modify a weapon to be full auto, modify the size or increase the magazine capacity. Is an offense.

To get a gun license:
Be over 18.
Write an instance explaining: Why Do you need a gun license.
Have to pass a medical and psicological test.
Be free of criminals offenses.
Pass a background test.

Also, you must do a weapon handling and safety test.

You the license has a validity of five years. It has to be renovated. Passing again the medical and psicological test.
And have a criminal record without major offenses.

And, refreshing the handling and safety course.

Then you have to register the weapon (the paperwork is done at the armoury). With the number of serie.

You must inform at the closest commissary in case you sell, lost or dispose your weapon.

Guns are banned nearly universally in Yerbanistan, with very narrow exceptions:
  • The Chancellor, his family, and their security detail
  • Ministers and their security detail
  • Guard personnel at government, military, transportation and energy facilities
  • Transporters of cash, high-value goods and nuclear materials
As you might've noticed, police officers aren't on the list. That's because Yerbanistan is a very safe nation, where violent crime is exceedingly rare and illegal guns are practically impossible to get a hold of. At most, they can be equipped with rubber bullets and water cannons to break up protests. If an unlikely situation calls for the use of firepower, then the army is brought in.

Firearm laws don't exist in our nation because firearms simply don't exist on Mercury. Why would we need them? We've got magic that protects us. And if someone brings a firearm to Mercury? Said magic makes them completely ineffective by doing things like shooting bubbles, or flowers, or it turns them into rubber or cardboard, etc. And don't complain to us that we 'ruined your expensive weapon', the magic only applies while you're on Mercury, it'll go back to normal after you leave our planet.

Weapons are not permitted to civilians, only the military and Law Enforcement. Since everyone is forced into the military, including small children, everyone become skilled with using one.

Given the attempted coup by Republicans that led to the foundation of Nuwaubia gun control legislation is pretty restrictive. For example whites are completely forbidden from owning firearms. Legal firearm ownership is more common amongst black citizens, however illegally owned firearms are assessed to be even more common but the government lacks the means or willpower to crack down on such weapons (unless owned by whites, then they'll crack down heavily).

Most guns are legal, but those guns more dangerous then AK47s are restricted to the military, tazers are restricted and only police may have them, and things like pepper spray are only for the military and only them in time of war. Those who are insane temporarily lose their guns rights, as do those on probation/parole and obviously, those in prison lose their gun rights too. Certain national parks ban guns, as do airports and certain political buildings. Teachers can have guns in schools, but not pupils or visitors.

A license is required for any and all firearms. To get a license, an individual must:
1) Be over the age of 18
2) Pass a mental health check to assure that the prospective owner will not harm anyone, including themselves, without good reason.
3) Pass a written test on firearm laws, safety and assembly.
5) Pass a practical test on marksmanship, safety loading a firearm, safely cleaning a firearm and safely disassembling and reassembling a firearm. This test is very complicated and only those who score very highly will pass.
6) Prove that they have a secure storage place for the firearm where nobody in the household without a license can access it.

Once an individual has a license, they will be issued a firearm (usually a pistol, unless they are a hunter, law enforcement or military) and one round of ammunition. Once the ammunition has been used, the owner must submit an application for more including what the previous rounds were used for. Those with a hunting license receive more ammunition, but that requires a different set of tests on top of having a gun license.

Once an individual possesses a firearm they have to retake the aforementioned tests every two years, and the mental health check each year or after any event that may significantly impact their mental state (death of a loved one, assault of themselves or a loved on, etc). If they fail a test, their license is suspended, and in the event of a failed mental health check they are also given therapy in a form of their choosing (counselling, art therapy, compassion focused therapy, etc). Their license will be revoked if they harm someone with the firearm without reason. In the event of a suspended or revoked license, the firearm will be taken away from the individual and they will be tried in court. If the individual is a part of law enforcement or the military, they will lose their job and will only receive a pension for a failed mental health check.

The tests are available to take once a year and children are taught from a young age to be able to disarm those with weapons in the extremely rare event of a criminal shooter.

Melee weapons, however, are more common and many people carry a knife with them, even though they are almost never needed. It's more a tradition than done out of necessity, and ornamental melee weapons are used in proposals instead of rings.

Vexilian gun laws, like most laws in the nation are extremely restrictive.
As laid out in the law no person shall posses a weapon, be it a firearm or some type of melee weapon. These items are only to be used by police and military forces.
Comrades shall need not weapons as they are protected by the myriad of surveillance equipment and devices.

Due to the current civil war, weapon possession is typically associated with rebels and terrorists in the eyes of the government. A loyal comrade is a safe comrade and a safe comrade doesn't need a weapon.

Despite this, citizens may visit government-run shooting ranges to fire assortments of firearms. All funded by the Vexilian Military's budget. Although dissidents think this is a recruitment tool.
Dissent is forcefully discouraged!

In basic terms, in New Jeromia, it is illegal for a person to own an assault rifle or anything more deadly/destructive. But gun ranges are allowed to own lots of different types of weapons, being under strict safety regulations. Police departments and the military are allowed to own any kind of weapon that follows international law, although most police agencies aren't heavily armed.

The most common use of legal guns is for hunting, with defense coming in second. Most people go to gun ranges for recreational shooting.

As mandated and implemented by the Constitution of 1718, the common man is permitted to own firearms with registry proof. However, these weapons must not exceed the type of small, automatic firearms. Military personnel are exempted from this rule, as the military is to register the guns for them free of charge. Whoever abuses the rights and privileges granted by the 17th Amendment to the Constitution shall be legally stripped of their right to own firearms. Failing to comply to this punishment shall result in a maximum 5 years of imprisonment.

Guns are sold in vending machines.

Everyone knows that everyone has a firearm on them.

There are more gun accidents than murders or rapes.

We are fully aware that gun related crime, injury, and death would be reduced if there were less guns in the nation.

Tourists visit Tsarus to purchase firearms, and return to their home country with it.

Normal Tsarusian homes have about two firearms per room.

It may seem there are more guns in Tsarus than even ammunition, until you look in the average home's basement.

If you wanted to ban or even restrict guns in Tsarus, it'd be futile. There are too many to keep track of.

You can probably find a lost firearm while on a walk.

Children are usually started out on heavy machine guns. One child alone cannot handle a machine gun, but a team can. This builds teamwork skill as well as getting these children familiar with firearms. Of course, this procedure is adult supervised.
We're not loonies.

In order to own a gun in Kuuj, one must first apply for a firearms license. The process involves a background check, to ensure there is no history of violent crime. If the person has a history of suicide attempts or mental illness, they are required to have a psychiatric health exam to ensure they are mentally fit to own a firearm. In order to get a firearms license, one must also take a basic gun safety and handling class (freely available at Kuujian community colleges) and pass a test demonstrating their competence.

Once someone has their firearms license, they can legally purchase whatever kind of guns, ammo and accessories they want, including military-grade assault rifles and machine guns, silencers, extended mags, grenade launchers, and armor-piercing ammunition. There are no restrictions on the type or amount of weapons that can be owned by sane, law-abiding adults.

Before every gun is sold, it is test-fired. The bullets and casings are analyzed and data is entered into a national ballistics database. If the gun is ever used to commit a crime, forensic technicians can easily trace it back to it's owner.
Kuuj reflects my own values and beliefs, and is based on my vision of an ideal society.

Sharifistanis are allowed a rifle or shotgun if they:
1. Pass a mental health check
2. Have no convictions for a violent, political or sexual felony and no convictions for a felony within 7 years.
and
3. Are over 16

Getting a handgun, semi-automatic weapon or automatic weapon is nearly impossible
but most ex-police officers, many ex-military officers along with some honourably discharged servicemen own them as do most serving military officers, special forces or intelligence soldiers and police officers.

In order to legally own a firearm, one must be a citizen or permanent resident and obtain a firearms license. A firearms license is obtained by passing a firearms safety course. Anyone with a history of violent crime is banned from obtaining a firearms license, people with a history of mental health issues my obtain a firearms license if the issues are deemed to be non-severe or sufficiently managed through therapy and/or medication. A firearms license entitles a civilian to own single shot firearms, manually repeating firearms, and semi-automatic rifles and handguns. There are no restrictions on caliber, but civilians may not have access to incendiary or explosive ammunition. For example, a civilian in possession of a firearms license may own a 40mm grenade launcher, but may not purchase explosive rounds while having full access to training, smoke, and less-lethal rounds for said launcher. Any civilian who holds a valid firearms license may carry a handgun for self defence, and this may be either concealed or open carried. Open carry of rifles is allowed in rural areas. Firearms which use compressed air to fire a projectile (for example, BB guns, airsoft, paintball guns) are completely unregulated.

The reasoning behind relatively lax firearms laws in Dayganistan is due to a high number of illegal firearms in the country. Firearms are illegally smuggled into the country from nearby conflict zones, and sold on the black market. Illegal firearms are relatively easy to access. The government wished to provide an easy system to purchase firearms with few restrictions on what can be owned in order to allow citizens to defend themselves from criminals with illegal firearms, and attempt to put the black market out of business. The government also recognizes that certain types of firearms deemed as "assault style" or "military style" weapons in other nations are used in certain sport shooting disciplines and does not wish to place restrictions on sport.

Oskenians have little to no regulation when purchasing firearms, as it is a Federal law that males of a certain critera may own a military-grade rifle to keep and maintain an active civilian defense force. Some Oskenian cities federally restrict open-carrying firearms, such as the capital of Ypaæpilisa, although the grand majority of the country welcomes law-abiding civilians with a firearm on their hip.

Some things that are restricted from being purchased are high-caliber weapons of mass destruction, (artillery pieces; mortars; tanks; missiles; bombs; etc) and some select-fire automatic firearms. They are still legal, but owners must pass a thorough investigation. Suppressors are legal to purchase if you can provide a valid reason for owning one. The grand majority of suppressor/silencer owners are farmers who need to protect their livestock at night from predators without waking up the entire neighborhood.

There are an estimated 14 million privately-owned firearms in Oskenia, a number that continues to increase. Violent crime due to extremist terrorist organizations is on the rise, but homicides involving firearms have been on a steady decline since the late 1990s.

There are four main firearms licenses in Oskenia.
Both the Class IV and Class III licenses are fairly easy to obtain, while Class II and Class I licenses are expensive, time-consuming, and exhaustive. There are an estimated 1,200 people in Oskenia who currently hold a Class I license, primarily dealers and collectors.
• Class IV - Internally-fed firearms such as hunting rifles, revolving pistols, military collectibles, or black-powder muskets and rifles.
• Class III - Magazine-fed, semiautomatic firearms such as carbines, handguns, or "tactical"-esque firearms such as the AR-15 variants.
• Class II - Magazine-fed, select-fire firearms such as "assault rifles," machine guns, squad automatic weapons, or other heavy-weaponry.
• Class I - Explosives, including but not limited to; mortars, artillery, guided rocketry and missiles, armored vehicles, etc.

The original Oskenian Federal Militia law, signed in 1936 with the rise of Nazism, works as follows:
"In Oskenia, every family with a male living in the household between the ages of 16 to 75 is required to own a military-grade firearm with 500 rounds and be taught to use it in the event of a hostile homeland invasion. It is the expansion of an original law allowing citizens to freely posses arms. The rifles provided to the affected families are given with no fee, and many militias are prominent across the nation."

Since 1948, with the Second World War over and the risk of foreign invasion coming to a close, Oskenia re-classified their mandatory militia law and it now affects fewer people. Instead, the Oskenian Reserve Korps, which is a sub-department of the Field Army, maintains and trains both military and civilian home defense forces. Soldiers who leave the military are permitted to continue to own and maintain their firearms if they so wish, although they must be converted to semi-automatic unless the individual already has or is in the process of getting a class II firearms license.

This law provides Oskenia with a viable homeland-defense force capable of repelling or discouraging a hostile force from invading, much like Switzerland.

TL:DR: Oskenia likes guns and we have a lot of them with minimal restrictions.
