Red and yellow symbolises fire.

Blue and yellow are the colours I love. They are very warm and cosy. I often get clothes with those colours. I have a coat that is blue and yellow, a rucksack with those colours etc.

I love bananas and I had hypokalemia recently so bananas are actually good for me and that fits too. The cross with bananas is a symbol of my own made up religion Macknosticism.

The L on the leaf stands for Leaf and it's my nation's currency.

The hammer and sickle on the banana is an irony because I don't quite like socialism but I like the Soviet Union jokingly.

The black hawk (definitely not a black eagle, definitely) is obvious. The sword represents totalitarianism, and the iron crosses represent fascism. White goes well with black, so it's used. The star is unknown.

Red is the warmth from the sun, which we hope will always shine.

Green represents vitality, freshness of mind, and the grassy plains in the south. Black, the memory of those who have died defending the country. White represents purity, kindness of heart, and the snowcapped mountains in the country's north. The tree represents the natural resources of Vorgodia.

The lynx symbolizes the Barrier, the Salvation, the Mark of Endurance, for our founder Arcesius was delivered from an arrow that would have ended his life by this creature as he was hunted down by his so-called friends. The red symbolizes the sacrifice, the new overcoming the old, the Sea of Blood, for this is the price that the Mark of Endurance paid to ensure Arcesius's survival. The First Monarch took the Creature with him, healed its scars, and became his loyal companion.

The X-Dossiers has exposed a second conspiracy, this time involving the House of Arkess, who it claims has been hiding the truth about the Diarcesian Unification for years. If true, this would mean that even though the Monarchy has claimed otherwise, the father of the First Monarch is actually the real author of the Diarcesian flag, as well as other symbols and devices associated with the Monarchy.

It is simply a combination of the bisected red and black flag, which symbolizes the anarchist and libertarian socialist origins of our nation, and six stars which symbolize the six provinces of Terrapacis.

[The Coordination of the Motile Galaxy]

The Coordination's official national glyphs spell out the name of our nation in Zodebizari. While we do not hold sentimental value for our glyphs, either these specific ones or more generally, the presenting of official glyphs to others signifies a certain respect given that the Coordination rarely tends to give to other nations.

The reproduction of any official glyphs is permitted and unregulated, as their value lies in what they signify and on what items/possessions they appear on, not on their uniqueness. For one outside of the Coordination to try and make their own Coordination glyphs (without being given them by the state) is impolite, rarely successful, and depending on if the claims of a nation who does this threatens the Coordination enough, possibly enough to trigger an invasion.

[Canvalland]

The Blue illustrates the Sea where the Ancestors of Canvish or Vinlanders' came; the White represents the Asgard's guidance and its holiness; the Gold illustrates the land of Canvalland and its boundless wealth. The vertical stripe is the symbolism of the republic.

[Mardatan]

Red: The blood spilled during the Great War.
White: The fragile peace Mardatan had maintained for a hundred years before the Great War sent it into a downward spiral of trenches, radiation and destruction.
Blue: The sea, where the largest fleet of the time fought and died in the true War to End All Wars.

It's part of the lore that the flag takes its inspiration after Venice's flag (there's a factbook for it).

It's a symbol of independence, the Republic of Venice was born in 697, which was a time where the massive Empires of Byzantium and of the Franks coexisted, and yet Venice endured for over a thousand years.

It's also a symbol of influence and tenacity, as Venician private parties often swayed the balance of power in the Mediterranean during the 11th to 15th century, and are most often credit with the fall of the Byzantine Empire.

Finally, color wise, the deep blue is supposed to be reminescent of space, as in the night sky. The purple is a well known symbol of power, the silk material used is of course, a symbol of wealth, and so are the white and gold colors present on the flag.

Overall the idea of this flag is to be something that gives the idea of an influential, wealthy and independent nation.

[Madrinet]

The Iron of St Laurence was a symbol worn by Madrinetan knights during the Savoyard Crusade of 1366 and was adopted as a national insignia shortly afterwards; few people were familiar country itself, being a small and unremarkable fiefdom of the Holy Roman Empire, but all the courts of Europe knew of the Order of St Laurence and the valiant knights who had won the "first and most famous victory against the heathen Turks" at Gallipoli.

After Madrinet was separated from the Holy Roman Empire in 1797, continuing to use the customary banner was considered unacceptable by France as it depicted insignia that symbolised the Emperor's claim of sovereignty over the country. Similarly, adopting a French-style tricolour was felt to undermine Madrinet's independence (notwithstanding that France continued to exercise significant influence on Madrinetan policy no matter what flag flew over the palace); the King therefore chose the iron of St Laurence as a distinctly Madrinetan symbol.

[The Unified Nations of Felucia]

Symbolically, the green, white, and gold coloration of the flag represent nature, peace, and prosperity, with the inclusion of the two stars and sun also representing nationalism, democracy, and welfare. In addition, the Formosan "sigil" (the golden sun containing a white tree sprouting from within a crescent moon) has come to symbolize unity and balance.

[Anarchic Hallownest]

Anarchic Hallownest's flag was designed in a competition close to its inception, as they had never had one before in any prior parts of history. The creator chose to remain anonymous when submitting.

The symbol to the left is the King's Brand, a symbol very commonly associated with the Pale King and his very successful reign as King of Hallownest up until the kingdom collapsed. Whilst many see him in a negative light after he disappeared and left his kingdom to die, the symbol still remains as it is a very integral part of the history of the area.

The tri colour consists of two parts: Black represents the abyss and the vessels which were massacred as a part of the Pale King's quest to obtain a pure child to defeat the Radiance. White, on the other hand, represents the nation and land as a whole, split after the chaos that caused the nation to come to fruition.

Finally, the swallow tail to the right symbolises the national zeitgeist that the job of restoring Hallownest will never be truly finished, and there is always room to improve.

[Berusturg]

The black represents the struggles with the Turgen Empire and the wars with them and the Berusturgian people's dark past, the white represents peace, and red represents the blood of our fighters and our struggles.

The black and white stripes represent the peace between the Berusturgian people whilst still remembering their past, the fist in the red triangle represents the Fist of our people, the white outline and the black inline of the fist has the same meaning of the stripes but instead of being peaceful to each other, it represents being peaceful and thankful to our fighters. The border between the red triangle and the black and white stripes, represents the need to fight for the containment of our fighter's blood (to keep them alive) while wishing for and/or achieving peace, and to make our struggles with another nation not interfere with the peace between each other.

The Red represents those that sacrificed their lifes to protect the nation. The yellow represents the Monarchy and the Sun God. The blue represents the purity and goodness of the people. And the symbol in the middle represents the sun god Huitzilopochtli, the protector of the nation.

[Grussland]

Grussland has recently re-adopted its pre-1948 flag, using it to replace the black-red-gold flag of the communist era.

The flag is a horizontal tricolour of black, white, and Nebelwald green - representing the attachment to our soil, the purity of spirirt of the people, and the cultural significance of our forests and nature. In the center is a simplified version of the nation's coat of arms, featuring the national animal of Grussland - the wolf.

[The Kingdom of the Three Isles]

Cross symbolises Christianity. Wreath symbolises peace. The three stars are the three isles. The little symbol in the cross is the symbol of the monarchy. Blue is the ocean, red the land, and white the people (not necessarily the colour of the skin lol)

[Lanfang Republic]

The yellow in the Lanfang flag represents the Republic's origin in the Qing Empire, which predominantly used the color yellow owing to its Manchu heritage. The text on the flag simply reads "Lanfang Republic".

[The Greater Russian Domain]

The Imperial Standard in the Canton represents the monarchy. The Shield at its center is the Coat of arms of Muscovy, the principality that grew into the Tsardom of Russia and eventually the Russian Empire. In more elaborate versions, the wings of the eagle come with additional shields representing other Russian principalities of old, as part of the Tsar's official title as "Emperor of All the Russias." The double headed eagle itself is a representation of empire found throughout Europe, particularly Empires that claim Spiritual Succession to Rome. Russia styles itself as "The Third Rome," as a spiritual Successor to the Byzantine Empire. Both Eagle-heads wear a copy of the Russian Crown, with a larger one above them both. The Eagle Also wears the collar and medal of the Order of St. Andrew, The Monarch-led Highest Chivalric Order of Russia, as well as symbols of monarchy: The Orb and Scepter.

The Canton Design, with its yellow background, can be resized as a flag in its own right, and is then the Imperial Standard, the flag of the crown specifically.


The White, Blue and Red have been said to have many meanings, but one of the older lasting interpretations is White for God (Heaven), Blue for monarch (Order of St. Andrew Ribbon), and Red for people/nation (Blood).
