Once upon a time, refugees escaping a totalitarian state boarded several stolen ships. They were pursued through rough seas, day and night, fighting off starvation, the storms, the enforcers, and at times, even enemy fire. The refugee fleet soon saw the water turn an inky black, and large tentacles came forth from the water, revealing a supposed myth- a Kraken. Their backs, pinned between their pursuing enforcers, and a Kraken, decided to push forward into the Kraken. Lives were lost, and ships were torn asunder, plucked and tossed like ragdolls. The sky, almost like it was under the Kraken's beck and call, turned stormy, with lightning bolts streaking across the skies, and even hitting ships. Amidst the chaos, the fleet kept moving under prayer and hope, until eventually the sky turned clear, and the ink dissipated, revealing gore, blood, bodies, but no pursuers. Soon, land was found, and the survivors settled, founding the nation Toverian, while seeing the Kraken as not only their protector, but divine intervention.

The Imperium was formed in the 10th century when Viking explorers touched the coast of North America, bringing with them horses among other things, and slowly but surely conquered the lands along the East Coast, down to the Florida peninsula, and then expanded westwards.
Despite colonizaition attempts by Britain, Spain and France in the 16th and 17th centuries, the Astarians pushed them back.

Our nation was the result of people fleeing 2 genocides bumping into each other at once.

Ko-oren is the result of several city states merging to form a single government, which then extended its control, over the course of centuries, to our entire archipelago.

Since the furthest records of Tuirsland and even the Duchy of Volkstalle and Pieneburg had gone far back as 463 AD in the form of runes in a small cave in Moldovia, it speaks of a terrible invader from an island south of "Karkantusi", or the mainland, further transcripts describe a terrible battle that occurred at the foot of Mt. Victoria, "A terrible sound, too terrible for [a man] to hear... Three hundred columns [attacks] our position, no man shall be able to survive, not even our God. This new god calls himself Azagulf the Enslaver, (Adolf the Great) and had enslaved all of us, he seeks revenge from us, we want to kill us all..." This particular transcription describes what happened during the Battle of Vommern Fields at the foothills of Mt. Victoria, which sparked the conquests and the unification of Tuirsland.

My nation was formed by a war called the Demation wars which is a war between Donauliton and Anquia. Anquia won the war and set up a treaty which included yours truly. But back then I was named Wentaria but then it changed to what I am today.

Mine formed in a war. After the country Angria lost the war to Avalon a treaty was given to take half a HUGE chunk of land from them. Avalon eventually lost a war to its citizens and lost that chuck of land they took. 5 million citizens took the land and appointed me as president. Now we are thriving.

The Ifrissi emirate that had the control of the Island since the IXth century collapsed during the XIth century and splited in small warring kingdoms fighting among themselves and Almorabide and Ahmohad empires. Those small but affluent kingdoms needed of manpower started hiring mercenaries. North African, Slavs warrior slaves and European warbands. that mercenary bands started getting feuds as local rulers started to have problems to pay their mercenaries. European lords ended defeating their employers and becoming gradually the new Island 's lords. By late XIIIth century the last Muslim fortresses had fallen. They new lords called for settlers from across the western Mediterranean Europe. Catarra was under nominal rule of the Kingdoms of Mallorca, Sicily and finally under Aragon control. It became a hub in Mediterranean trade and became in the middle of the Habsburg-Ottoman wars being often raided and attacked even defeating an Ottoman invasion in the mid XVIth century. During the Spanish succession war it got to Austria after the peace of Uttrech. Untill the Austrian Succesion war that it got into French area of influence.

Ittonia once was a Prussian colony,it formed with the Ittonian Independence War.

The Gamma Quadrant of several centuries ago was considered a no-go zone by many - rumors and legends of moon sized spider gods, unstoppably virulent intelligent plagues, twisted nightmare toy worlds and other things too terrible to speak of kept all but the most foolhardy from venturing in, and no one would think of actually establishing a colony - at least, almost no one. In reality, most of the rumors were either outright fables or much exaggerated truths, and the galactic quadrant provided an excellent place to stay hidden from the rest of galactic geopolitics.

The first group to colonize the region were the Oyuins, a philosophical and artistic movement mostly concentrated in the still thriving heartlands of Beta that viewed the distinction between reality and virtuality as meaningless. At the movement's peak, a large proportion of the Oyuins, wishing to practice their ideals free from the threat of galactic geopolitics, successfully organized and crowdfunded a project to move to a region far from civilization in order to set up their servers in peace. Flying deep into Gamma, they ultimately settled on colonizing a region of the Oort located far from any truly habitable worlds, and half a year of flight time from Beta at typical FTL speeds.

A number of other groups would follow their lead and flock to the region in the decades that followed, the Kumiho Clade the best known among them, but the region would not become more than a minor sideshow until the appearance of the Entangled Order of Saint Teilhard half a century after the initial arrival of the Oyuin. The Order were an accelerationist religion initially founded by a number of networked military intelligences in Delta, ultimately aiming for the establishment of a universal supermind which they identified with God. Fear of the long term potential of their emerging hive intelligence lead to the early Entangled Order coming under threat from the various military powers of Delta, resulting in most of the Order fleeing deep into Gamma to avoid destruction, and ultimately settling in the proto-Qhevak region.

Leveraging their networked superintelligence in conjunction with the variety of odd and inventive ideas spawned by Qhevak's existing subcultures, the Entangled Order would transform Qhevak into a very high tech, well armed hermit kingdom. While still little known among the larger galactic community, the Qhevak region began to become a Mecca for various odd galactic subcultures, causing a self-sustaining cycle of growth over the next two centuries. Outside of a few small and growing mercenary companies, contact with outside was still generally limited over that period - the most notable event was a joint operation by several major clades to blow up a nearby gate construction attempt by the exploitative Hermes Hyperspace Transportation Corporation which had monopolized long distance interstellar transport in older times.

Things began to change fifty years ago. With increasing settlement of Gamma by assorted pioneers, it quickly became clear that most of the rumored horrors in the region were either non-existent or long gone. Settlement snowballed thereafter into an outright colonization boom, with public perception of Gamma quickly switching from "nightmare hellscape" to "galactic gold-rush boomtown". While the initial bubble burst after a few decades and Qhevaks location on the galactic periphery meant it wasn't greatly touched by the first settlement wave, galactic recognition of Qhevak rose greatly thereafter, as did economic interest in various Qhevakian innovations. With the establishment of the Aetin-2 wormhole linking the Moria region to the Gamma-Alpha border (the only one publically in operation, though it's an open secret that the Entangled Order has wormholes of their own), and thereby to broader galaxy spanning wormhole networks, economic links between Qhevak and the broader galactic community have boomed, leading to great resistance from Community old guard looking to "keep Qhevak weird".

We beat the union army and claimed the country as our own after a few years of independence and another war the entire US was ours.

After disagreements with their hirer, a retired British captain and his fellow mercenaries decided to found their own nation in the middle of the Icelandic Civil War back in 1957. A decade later Borealia, still led by the same mercenary, invaded a technocracy named Celestia. After a few months, Borealia won the war and the captain decided to adopt a "semi-technocratic" government, thus obtaining support from the technocracy of the Congo. With support from the Congo, Borealia-Celestia won the Icelandic Civil War and unified the island in 1973.

An ancient and somewhat large Grecian Island, it had multiple City-States fighting on it, but eventually Helakos was able to claim the whole island, absorbing the other city-states into it's influence.

The February Revolution of 1897, where the Revolutionaries overthrew the monarchy and established the federal republic. We were occupied by Germany from 1940-1944, then an attempt at a coup in 1987, but it failed, and we are still the Federal Republic of Scanvindania.

July 16, 1945: Our nation is created from the radioactive ash of the first atomic bomb testing in New Mexico, but are covert and don't get discovered for thirty years.
1975: Due to a failed trade between our capitol and several underground communities of our country, our country is brought to the attention of The US and it's army. They attempt to arrest us, but we revolt. In a 3 and 1/2 month war, we declare independence, as we are not normal humans, and a subgroup of humans created by the atomic blast which can be seen by mannerisms, and a birthmark resembling a nuclear caution symbol. We Take city after city through our underground network, and force peace of the US, annexing every territory under and at the city of Sacramento, making them move their capital to New York City, New York. We start rebuilding our nation, which had no real government, more being a military Junta then anything else.
1976:Our people institute a government similar to a capitalist democratic republic, but this was by forcing random governor of territories to decide on act, as voting had yet been discovered by our people.
1977:The EEC, predecessor to the EU, declares war on us, two years after our declaration of independence. As a newly formed nation, we are a bit shaky, but we pull out a win by use of US-made WMDs, but not without a heavy toll to our nation. The war ends in a mutual peace treaty for at least 30 years.
1984:War veterans speak of voting to the general populous, and this is brought to congress. Reforms are made, and we become an official democratic republic. During such, we elect a war general from the war of Independence who made our largest battle then a massive victory through newly-formed tactics.
2002: We are known internationally, but the nations of the world, with a still existent grudge, declare us rebels and terrorists, not a legitimate nation at the said time.
2018:Through negations with the EU and many other nation organizations, we are finally recognized as a rightful nation, but through a March Coup of EU states, the EU declares war on us, and 24 other nations or peoples trying to be classified as nations.
2019:As the war was not looking good for our people, we ask for peace, but only through means which they would accept were able to be offered. We gave up land and territory to the EU, and were made a puppeted country. At the time, our people though we had failed them, but later in October, The EU launched still-unknown bombs on the 24 other countries, making them permanently uninhabitable. We had to make our people in working conditions to those of African American slave before the civil war.
2020:The EU nations' populous, mad with what had happened, staged a counter-coup on the regimes, slowly falling until the Netherlands finally fell. The new EU released our nation and returned territory, and made a permeant peace treaty with us, to prevent such an occurrence again.

TL;DR: Nuclear Americans revolted, and fought off the EU twice.

Alzatia was one of several principalities in the Holy Roman Empire, subordinate to the Emperor. It never fell into French or German rule—after the HRE collapsed, Alzatia went its own way and became an independent monarchy, like Liechtenstein or Luxembourg.

In the 530s, Sassanid Persia, the genocidal & usurper Shahanshah Khosrou aimed to eradicate the proto-Communist, free-loving, vegan hippie, pacifist, garden-loving Mazdakite movement. Mazdak was lured by Khosrou himself, tortured and then forced to watch 10.000 of his followers be buried alive to form a "human garden".

Mazdak's wife, Khorram, however managed to escape. Some of her followers then fled North toward modern-day Azerbaijan, IRL. Some fled South toward the newly conquered Yemeni colonies. Once out of Khosrou direct reach, secret Mazdakites started setting up trading communities throughout the Indian Ocean, one partially inhabited island - Bunkaiia, was noted as a perfect spot for the Mazdakites to continue there Middle Persian proto-Communist way of life.

Bunkaiia, was described as Pankhaia by Greek historian-writer, Euhemerus. The island was noted for its lush forests, friendly people, Persian heritage and exotic wildlife. The indigenous Austronesian Safiloavu welcomed the Mazdakites and together they formed the basis of Bunkaiian culture.

The Third major group that greatly influenced Bunkaiian culture, were the runaway Swahili slaves that fled to the island for safety and refuge.

During the Cold War, the USSR and the USA colonized an island in the North Pacific Ocean and then decided to avoid war and grant their colonies independence. Those colonies merged and created a nation. That nation's government collapsed around 2018 and a new nation rose from the ashes, The United Kingdom of Mountainus.

Ethnic tensions between the Taiyuenese and Nanchaonese natives starting in the 17th century culminated into a series of violent riots between 1784 and 1786 against Taiyuenese migrants. In 1786, this violence extended to Taiyuenese merchants within Nanchaonese protests, serving as a pretext to the Nanchaonese-Taiyuenese Wars. After the Battle of Vanuatu in which a coalition of Nanchaonese ships and privateers were decisively defeated by Taiyuenese fleets, the Nanchaonese republics met in the Saumua Conference, in which the Nanchao Confederation was proclaimed. Major port cities along the west coast of the archipelago suffered from heavy damage, mostly due to repelled invasions and embargoes by Taiyuenese fleets. A series of battles along the North-South Island Strait ended in decisive Nanchaonese victory. The Treaty of Maynila concluded the war in 1796 after six years of warfare, which gave political rights and anti-discrimination laws to Tai and Viet settlers in Nanchao.

The islands that make up Verandria were home to three Iron Age tribes. The tribes (Vergex, Andgex, Riavelle) over the centuries of intermingling developed a centralized culture. During the early medieval period, the tribes united together, taking the first three letters of their tribe names and becoming the Kingdom of Verandria. In 1816, the Kingdom of Verandria would become the Constitutional Monarchy of Verandria.

What we are known as Batean peoples migrated to what We know as Batea in the XVIIIth century. Now there are 2 Batean states both with very close ties. Our home country population was growing a lot as there had been a huge economic and demographic boom. And We had fame of empreneuteurs, traders, tough fighters and hard workers. So local rulers of what is now Batea called us to repoblate the area as it was a poor region, highly depopulated because wars and epidemics. So several groups of Bateans migrated and assembled in Ucena. And We propagated. Creating a semiindependent duchy of Batea. But most of us settled around the coasts and cities. While our relations with the indigenals were not always good We were a flourishing minority. With time after our hosts went to discover nationalism and tried "to modernize and uniformize" their country, as the fight disappeared with the last duke dying without descendants. And our guest losing the south of Batea in an ill planed war. Tensions started as Batean nationalism grew to as reactions against assimilationists politics. Then our hosts fell into fascism and communism. And national and economic tensions more the demand for a more democratic government. Drive us to an independence war. Our neighbouring nations supported our secession to weaken communist Ucena and after an independence war We Became Northern Batea. Once Free, We developed a free market economy, We became a full democracy, We attracted foreign inversions. But our military tensions are high and We have a high military spending, also relations with our national minorities that opposed independence are difficult, as our independence war was a vicious ethnic conflict. And, We had absorb postwar the arrival of ethnic Bateans expelled by Ucena.

There were three islands located to the south of France that each had their own monarchy on them.

At the start of the 14th century, the monarch of one of the three island kingdoms became the monarch of the other two, resulting in all three kingdoms coming under personal union.

Later, in the early 18th century, the three kingdoms, which were still officially independent states, just with one monarch, are unified as one kingdom.

And from there, we adopted our first constitution at the end of the 18th century and gradually became more and more democratic until you get to today, where we're an ordinary parliamentary constitutional monarchy where the monarch basically has no real powers anymore.
