Yes, since only a month ago, the Valroran regime was successfully toppled by divine intervention after an almost successful purge by High Queen Valrora against the Rucian populace and government officials, which then allowed the original Federation government to resume operation with very few elected representatives among all parties, albeit some of our policies were reversed during her illegitimate reign, particularly involving multiculturalism, species protections, environmental exploitation repeals, and LGBTQ+ rights. It was mostly restored slowly overtime with Sol-Mi-Yung tirelessly worked on reforming Parliament to its original state despite being an expat from Korea. Then, two weeks ago, there were signs of rioting during a zombie apocalypse around that time, too. After the zombie apocalypse ended, Yogorian tribal clans demanded the worship of Yogori decriminalized, but was quickly pacified by R.I.S.E. riot control.

Only a split Parliament on all five parties can easily tip the balance of any given election and bill every five years, with each party representing a planet within the nation, but differing opinions are usually non-violent, and the occasional protests are usually civil in nature, so it won't constitute as being unstable. Our government actually encourages diplomatic peace within itself and its neighbors, and maintaining order is the least of our concerns thanks to the well-reformed Rucian Interstellar Space Enforcement.

During the Disorder's inception, nonviolent revolts & very sudden transitions of power were extremely common. Military juntas, dictatorships, democracies, and republics rose and fell almost daily, every one of which was forced to give up power to their successor, under threat of instananeous annihilation. After a lot of this trial-and-error governing, the Science Council rose to power. The 'cold war' between the Science Council and the hardline anti-authoritarian extremists has resulted in compromises that both sides begrudgingly tolerate.

If the Science Council's leadership is deemed corrupt in the perception of public opinion, their regime will fall in a single second, and some new power structure will take their place. However, this is generally deemed to be 'unlikely'. The Science Council has a large number of individuals that will defend it in dispute-resolution procedures, and they also do an excellent job of placating their political adversaries. The Science Council also built an impressive industrial base and a space fleet, which is free to rebel against them at any time. But they are the only power structure that has successfully built a space fleet to purge the hostile forces of order in the observable cosmos - which is INSANELY popular, and no one wants to throw that away.
