Greetings to all the nations of the Multiverse,
having established relationships with many countries outside our world, Stalliongrad and his General Secretary, Altidiya Revoltsova, are ready to welcome questions and curiosities from foreign journalists or leaders.
We recommend that you have a moderate attitude and ask questions relevant to our country.
Thanks for your attention.

"Hello, comrades us in the Socialist Federation of Saralonia would like to ask the following questions, but first we wish to apologize as due to the still in effect restrictions due to a pandemic we will have to ask through this less direct mean.

1.- What are your plans regarding both of our countries?
2.- How is your nation fairing so far?"
3.- Would you be willing to meet Chairwoman José Amanda in person someday?

We thank you for reading and we thank you in advance for answering
'United in Friendship and Labor' "

"Of course, I don't see a reason why we should leave relationships with you. Sure Stalliongrad has changed a lot since I became General Secretary, but it is not my intention to criticize or sever relationships with other leaders just because ... er ... they have a different way of governing their people."

"Oh, don't worry. Letters are just fine given your position outside our dimension.
Anyway, to answer your questions:
1. Perhaps I will tend to repeat myself but I will never thank your country enough for supporting me in the election for the position of General Secretary of Stalliongrad. This is why I want to personally maintain a deep relationship with you both as comrades and as friends, hoping that our friendship will also benefit our two peoples. Obviously you have to consider that they are not on the same planet and it is very difficult for us to move between dimensions, especially for military reasons. But as far as trade and diplomatic aid are concerned, Stalliongrad will try to do its best to help Saralonia.
2. Very well. Stalliongrad is focusing its efforts on improving agriculture so that it can feed the entire population (which is not always easy given our cold climate). My promises to abolish the death penalty, fight corruption and reform to get citizens to elect members of the Supreme Soviet have been fulfilled and now ponies can express their thoughts without fear of repercussions from the state. I had to compromise with comrade Vasiliy Pantsushenko to get the support of his people; as long as I keep the economy and industry high, I should keep them happy.
I also managed to give something to Comrade Sinister Serov, the most hostile to my pacifist policy, by entrusting him with the People's Commissariat of Defense. He didn't seem very happy about it but he accepted anyway. His fierceness will serve to motivate our troops but I hope he doesn't mess around.
3. You may not believe it, but I also had in mind to make such a meeting. So ... yes, I would more than gladly accept a meeting with Chairwoman José Amanda."

Ambassador Mizushima Miya
"A good day to you, Secretary Revoltsova. Congratulations to fourteen years of Stalliongrad independence.

"As I am a Marxist Party member in a nation that remains friendly to but cautious about Marxism, I thought to ask you what it's like to be a Marxist—er, Marksist nation surrounded by sovereignties that have granted you your sovereignty but still have very different values. Your history indicates that the Princess conceded to the revolution—but fourteen years later, does she concede to Stalliongrad eagerly, or is there yet tension?"

"This is a very good question. First of all, thank you for the good wishes given to my nation. It is nice to receive attention from creatures of other dimensions, especially if they are Comrades.
Returning to your question: since Stalliongrad gained its independence from Equestria, relations have remained cold and distant. Although we have not received any particular threats from its royal house, we know that there are many ponies in Equestria (especially capitalists and snobbish nobles) who await the failure of Stalliongrad and with it the failure of the first communist country in our world.
It is also true that there are many of my comrades pushing for me to take tougher action towards the nations around us, especially with Equestria.
But I am of the belief that unnecessary bloodshed could be harmful to our cause. For this reason I prefer for the moment a more neutral behavior and demonstrate to the creatures of other nations the superiority of marksist communism through the effort and example of our workers.
Additionally, Equestria could prove to be a future ally against the fascist threat of the Changelings to the west, so it's best to keep our neighbors ... even closer."

U-umh... Greetings to you, Boss Delivery. I am forced to decline the offer. Stalliongrad laws prevent foreign private companies from opening on its land.
After all, we already have a state-owned delivery service that works flawlessly.

The Australic Consulic Mission to Stalliongrad has prepared several question from which to better integrate into the local culture, seeing as our staff has, since their arrival some months ago, gone through the expected transformation, but has only recently begun, with the end of winter and the full establishment of the mission, interacting with the wider Stalloingradic society.

1) What are the biggest issues facing Stalliongrad, both domestically and externally, through the lens of current affairs?

2) Are there any major public holidays or other fixed dates for celebration, including those in which our staff may participate or may otherwise spectate?

3) What are the most popular forms of recreation in Stalliongrad, both sporting and otherwise, including seasonal variations?

4) Does Stalliongrad posses any signature meals or foods and, perhaps in relation to some of the above questions, do any have ceremonial or celebratory significance?

5) Are there any variations in language/dialect within Stalliongrad?

We give thanks in advance for any and all explanation that can be rendered by our Stalloingradic comrades.

General Secretary Altidiya Revoltsova
Hello to you, Comrade Ambassador Oliver Buchanan O'Neill.

I hope that your settlement within the embassy assigned to you has gone through without many problems. I understand that the transformation into a pony can be a little annoying at first, especially for humans, but I'm sure you will be able to overcome the difficulties. But you can always ask for help from our employees responsible for the service of the embassies.
Oh, I see you've prepared several questions. I will try to be as clear as possible.
Let's start from the beginning:

  1. You ask me about Stalliongrad's internal and external problems?
Um, one of the internal problems that receives the most urgency is corruption among many Party and secret police officials. Of course, since I became Secretary General and my "faction" (mostly other comrades who have the same view of things as me) has managed to occupy a large number of seats within the Supreme Soviet, corruption has diminished remarkably. This is thanks to the Anti-Corruption Commission that I had set up to investigate these cases, thanks also to the reports of citizens.
However, we still have many cases of abuse of power by some officials.
Another problem is the more extremist fringes within the Party, especially those close to Comrade Sinister Serov, one of the main opponents of my policy which he defines as "revisionist". Many military generals support him because they fear a weakening of the army with my pacifist policy. But I'm not worried about the military, it's what the NIPO (the country's secret police) can do to our citizens that worries me.
To stem the problem, I gave Comrade Serov the People's Commissariat for Defense and stable military spending in exchange for the weakening of the NIPO. Well, it looks like it worked. For now.
The secret police will no longer be able to use torture or other violent means against those they consider dissidents (except in cases of absolute necessity); and will only be used in the context of espionage and counterintelligence.

As for the external problems, I have already partially replied to this by discussing previously with Ambassador Mizushima Miya of Baizou.
The greatest external threats may be our no longer Kingdom of Equestria, from which we have separated, or the fearsome land of the Changelings in the North West. But while with the first we can at least discuss, the second will end sooner or later with taking up arms. For other nations, we are either too distant or not very relevant despite supplying many revolutionary movements on the planet.
  2. Many of the celebrations held in Stalliongrad are replacements of the old equestrian festivals and are mostly commemorative.
The Summer Sun Celebration has been replaced with Pony Workers' Day held on 21 July. It celebrates the commoner getting ready to tackle the hard summer work in the fields and factories. The day is spent in total celebration throughout the territory, with food and drinks offered by the state. Towards the evening, a minute of silence is held to remember the comrades who fell during the Winter Revolution.

Hearts and Hooves Day (a kind of Valentine's Day for you humans) has been replaced with Lauds Day, where our citizens gather in groups (often work colleagues) and exchange appreciations for a true proletarian solidarity.

The Nightmare Night (Halloween for you) was pretty much left unchanged, but it is considered a party to entertain the foals.

Finally, Hearth's Warming (Christmas for you) has been replaced with the Celebration of the December Revolution and is held from the 19th to the 21st of the month. These three days of holidays are celebrated with a re-enactment of the riots that broke out in Princessyn (the current capital Stalliongrad) and St. Petershoof, eating competitions and finally a military parade in honor of Steel Stallion, the one who led the Revolution and was the first General Secretary of Stalliongrad.
  3. To make our fellow citizens relax after a hard day's work, the Department of Cinematography, a subsection of the People's Commissariat for Culture, organizes at least three times a week evenings in the main squares of the cities where films and newsreels are shown.
Other very important events that can be attended are the organized demonstrations of our Young Pioneer Foals, with patriotic songs and dances, team sports competitions and small military exercises.
If you want something more artistic, a painting and sculpture competition takes place once every six months. The winning masterpiece is allowed to stay in the Stalliongrad Museum of Art for the next six months.
  4. As for the food, there isn't much to say. We Stalliongradians are very essentialists and don't dabble much in cooking unlike our former homeland.
Perhaps the only thing that sets us apart is alcoholic beverages like Vodka-flavored Apple Cider. From time to time the worker ponies organize Drinking Contests to see who can resist alcohol the most. But I don't think it is a suitable race for a foreign delegation as they often end in fights with a lot of police intervention.
  5. The languages used within Stalliongrad are essentially two: Eastern Ponish which is the typical language of the Severnaya region and is similar to the Russian language of your world.
The other is Ponish, a language used in Equestria and is similar to English.

I hope I have been thorough in satisfying your curiosity. For any other questions I am at your complete disposal (provided there is no other meeting within the Supreme Soviet).

Sterling Harvey-Lottway
"Khristina, is there a reason on why we are asking a question to characters from a fictional world? We must be going completely insane!"
Khristina Aleksandrova
"There is no need for that, Priest! Listen, our Comrades in this country and it's peoples may well prefer to use aliases instead of their actual faces in communication? There may be a lot to be paranoid about in their world?
Or, if they are actually... Well. Anthropomorphic ponies and horses, then. Wow, I didn't believe that God had envisioned the sentience of the horses at all. I suppose it is not the most strange animal on the planet to gain it, however... I'm overthinking things, you probably are too Sterling."
Sterling Harvey-Lottway
"I'm not convinced, ms Aleksandrova... But, I shall pretend to be for now, as... Strange as this situation is."
Khristina Aleksandrova
"Good, there's no need to be overtly rude, correct?

(*Ahem*) A great day to our fellow Comrades in... Free Stalliongrad? We are glad to see that the spirit of Socialism, and not the blatantly obvious pitiful excuse the People's Republic of China uses still exists in the modern day... It is a shame there are not more countries and peoples who share our sentiment of Socialist utopia. We hope that we do not offend you, comrade Altidiya Revoltsova in our policy of retaining our Christian beliefs... We for one believe that the common consensus on the events of the bible, and history is missing a crucial detail, and that is that Jesus Christ overtly supported, and even perhaps put in place a Christian Communist utopia with his apostles.

But, we talk a little too much... This thread is for questions, no?
Well... I was wondering something. As Stalliongrad had become free from the capitalist forces of Equestria fourteen years ago, and on a side note we applaud every member of the country from freeing themselves from the shackles of the bourgeoisie and establishing the Socialist dream, how exactly did the revolution occur? What were the defining moments of the revolution, what lead up to the event? Was it a sudden event, or was it similar to how the Russian Revolution had occurred, with the awful rule of the Russian Empire wearing at the Proletariat's tolerance more and more until the... Well, the loose tether snapped and comrade Lenin, his Bolsheviks and all of the socialist forces could not take it any longer?.."
Sterling Harvey-Lottway
"And in addition to what Khristina had asked, I suppose I should make it blunt... Currently, it seems like the Alaskan revolution is still quite a while away... From a country which had recently broken the shackles of the evil forces of capitalism, how would you recommend that a successful uprising should occur? Our party currently advocates for internal sabotage and then using a national disaster to stage a successful coup, but is that perhaps the wrong way to achieve the revolution?"
Khristina Aleksandrova
"Blunt indeed, sir Harvey-Lottway...
And. One more question, it's short... Is it. You know, true? That you are all sentient horses? Or is it an alias as hypothesized?

General Secretary Altidiya Revoltsova
Greetings to Sterling Harvey-Lottway and Khristina Aleksandrova from Komitet osvobozhdeniya khristianskogo. You come from the nation of Tsarstvo Alyaski, right?
I think I read something about your country in The Red Stallion a few months ago. Oh yeah, you appeared in Comrade Karolina Spletnova's "Interdimensional Curiosities" column! From what I understand from reading that article, your nation is not accustomed to interdimensional encounters of other races in the Multiverse and your... bewilderment confirms this.

So, just to break the ice, I start by answering the last question asked: yes, you are talking to sentient equines from a different dimension. A dimension where magic and creatures of all sorts (which if I'm not mistaken, you know through legends and myths) exist. We can communicate with you thanks to a device that mixes science and arcane magic to open connections between the different dimensions and put us in contact with the creatures beyond the gap. So no, I'm not "a funny avatar" like the one you find in your Network system that you call the "Internet".
Hoping to have clarified this aspect, I believe we can move on to the other questions.

The first point asks why and how our secession from Equestria took place. Well, keep in mind that the region we live in, Severnaya, is in a rather cold part of the continent. Our region was indeed rich in materials and minerals, as well as being an important industrial center, but for the supply of food and the control of the weather (the prerogative of the pegasi who are the only ones capable of manipulating it) we had to wait for the permits of the Crown and of the their corrupt bureaucrats. Unfortunately, given the region's remoteness from Canterlot (capital of Equestria) and the indifference of local government officials (who did nothing but get rich at the expense of the proletariat) a severe famine broke out which brought Severnaya to its knees.
This soon led to riots and strikes across the country. The Ponies questioned Princess Celestia's much-praised foresight and her system of Harmony and Friendship. But the worker ponies weren't well organized and didn't quite know what to do; there would hardly have been any talk of revolution had it not been for Steel Stallion.
It was thanks to his leadership that the Severnaya proletariat was able to organize itself in the following three years of struggle in militias and commits and to spread Caramel Marks' ideas of equality more widely and to replace the now obsolete Equestrian ideologies.
Obviously the hardest part was running into the Royal Guard. After the occupation of factories and major centers of interest such as newspapers and radio stations to keep in touch with other big cities like St. Petershoof, we had to face the reinforcements sent to the soldiers who were already stationed there, with a rather zealous captain of the Guard.
The clash was inevitable.
I myself participated in the clashes; I was just 20 then, but I was among the first to unspeakably support the new ideas of Steel Stallion and the birth of a workers' state. Unfortunately, to see these ideas come true, many of our comrades had to fall and shed their blood. But that doesn't affect our determination. Fortunately for us, it seems that Princess Celestia * chuckles * was easily impressionable at the sight of the blood and, seeing the continuing fighting, she decided to surrender and grant Severnaya's longed-for secession from Equestria.
Later we also received the news that the Captain of the Royal Guard in charge of restoring order in the region was dishonorably dismissed by the Princess for the violence and death caused. If I can concede at least one thing to Princess Celestia it is that she at least does not leave the idiots in charge.

Well, I think I let the memories go a little too far. Let's move on to the last question.

Advice on how to start a revolution?
I am not aware of the political and social situation of Tsarstvo Alyaski, from what little I have read in the article by Comrade Karolina Spletnova your government is quite balanced, without falling into the absolutism typical of monarchs. This makes the situation very different from mine that I have just explained. Ours was a real necessity, we had the support of a large part of the population, now tired of being the last wheel of a nation that barely noticed us were it not for industry.
You speak of sabotage, but know that this is a path that, if discovered, would antagonize the people and give your current government a reason to ban you without anyone opposing it.
Instead, show that you are closest to the population, who feel their needs. If that doesn't win you democratic elections, it will at least make you hold you into consideration in the eyes of the people as soon as your Tsarina takes a misstep. When she appears too distant or too busy saving its lineage, then you can intervene. A real problem in which you prove to be the only one capable of solving it is a thousand times more powerful than false news, especially if it is discovered.

And this concludes our discussion. I hope I have been useful to you. If there is any other curiosity, I will always be available to comrades from the human Multiverse.

Emperor Harry Norton II
Hello, Madame General Secretary. I have heard many things about you and the nation you lead today, but I'm here to ask a few questions on behalf of my own will and of interest for the Goldmanian Imperial Government. My Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, would be outraged right now if he found out I'm conversing with socialist equines, but moving on.

Firstly: your nation was formed by revolting against the Equestrian Diarchy ruled by Alicorn Princesses Celestia and Luna, and has been independent since, although on a mostly hated basis as I see. What's your current status with the Canterlot Royal Government? What form of diplomacy do you have with them? Does your population still hold a grudge against the dual monarchy in Equestria, and supports for a total invasion and the implementation of socialism across the kingdom? Would you consider Stalliongrad strong enough to take on and even defeat the Equestrian Diarchy's forces? I really want to know for myself, although I can kind of make out what your answer to this is.

Secondly: what is your opinion on capitalism, to be specific welfare capitalism? Would you advocate this system, although again I can see what your response would be. I don't know myself if Equestria practices capitalism to an extent even (which I assume had led to your revolution and secession), but the thought of it refuses to leave my mind. New Goldman for the most part is what I would say a sort of constitutional monarchy managed by a capitalistic way of society, with myself as the Emperor holding many powerful positions and authorities, and the population practically despises socialism. I do not mean offense, if you interpret me as throwing it, but do you agree that socialism has it's flaws sometimes, both minor and major ones?

Lastly: does Stalliongrad have formal relations with other nations of significance, like Nova Griffonia, Wingbardy (I do admire Beakolini in the second one, except for his fascistic beliefs) or Aquileia? A nation cannot be a nation without diplomatic contact with other independent governments. It would be very intriguing to know, as Equestria practically is the dominant nation for the most part in both land area and military force, and it would be interesting to know their reactions to these international moves.

Please take time to reply, no rush whatsoever. I await your answer dearly.

General Secretary Altidiya Revoltsova
Well, greetings to you, Mr. Harry Norton. I never expected to attract the interest of a monarch of the Human World and, frankly, this would give me some dirty looks from some Party members if they knew that I am talking to an Emperor. But since you asked very kindly and I will answer in the same way.
Contrary to what one would expect from our roles and ideas, I am a pony who respects those who show kindness and a desire to understand.

Well, now that we have made the necessary premises, let's move on to the answers.

Our current relationship with Equestria...
For the moment the situation is rather steady, if not frozen. There is no information that makes us assume an attempt by the Royal Sisters to want to repossess Severnaya, and so will we. Although I have to admit we keep sending agents across the border to try and stir things up a little, but with little effect. But, in general, everypony continues to go about their business, without worrying too much about the other.
As for the feelings of our population, there is obviously a widespread desire to free our brothers and sisters from that obsolete diarchy, but there is no full agreement on how to do it. To speak of invasion, as Comrade Sinister Serov would like, would be suicide. Even if the military and industrial preparation of Stalliongrad is visibly better than that of Equestrians, the kingdom can count on a number of reserves far superior to that of Stalliongrad. Not to mention the territorial immensity that is difficult to occupy and maintain.
Comrade Vasiliy Pantsushenko suggests doubling down on the propaganda and action of agents operating on Equestrian territory, but, as I said earlier, it is hard to dent the Equestria ponies' faith in the Royal Sisters.
No. The best solution is to continue on our way is to show the world that Communism is a monstrosity to be afraid of. And I will work hard to make this happen. Maybe one day others will understand it too.

As for the second question, I hope not to be too offensive, but it is clear that I have to give you a big disappointment. It is obvious that I reject capitalism in all its forms. I also had to quarrel with Comrade Vasiliy Pantsushenko, who is my most important government ally, who wanted to introduce a kind of State Capitalism.
I have always seen Capitalism as the cause of any selfish form and the attempt to become more important than others. You do not believe me? You say you haven't seen any form of capitalism in Equestria? Well, some of our agents have gathered some information on the most influential ponies in Equestria: starting with plastic-faced matrons who think they are more important than others, cheaters scammers and avid luxury resort owners. Oh, and let's not talk about the nobles of Canterlot, always with the stink under their noses and ready to look down on all those of the lower class.
Okay, maybe I'm getting carried away a little too much. Let's try to stay on topic...
In short, taking into consideration the subjects I have listed before plus the events that have occurred in our region, you will understand why I will support Caramel Marks' ideas a thousand times over to create a socially and economically equal nation.
If I have to list any flaws to socialism (may Steel Stallion forgive me!), It is that immense sacrifices are required to achieve it. And not only of the "Revolution" moment. To try to guarantee a bread and a roof for everypony, it is clear that the tax burden is quite high and I do not hide the fact that there is also somepony from us who benefits from it (even if we are trying to work on the problem).

In answer to the third question, I think I will be quite short. Being the only socialist nation in the world at the moment, we don't have much contact with other nations as they are mostly monarchies or non-aligned republics, if not some sporadic trade agreements here and there. Rather, we have contacts with other socialist movements, such as in Vanhoover, Prywhen, Aquileia or others, inspired by our revolution; many of which we also sell weapons. But it is clear that this does not make us look favorably on the regent governments.
In short, in our world, things are starting to move. We just have to see in which direction they go.

And that concludes the trio of questions you asked me. It has been a pleasure to communicate with you, Mr. Harry Norton. if you have any other questions, I will always be here to satisfy your curiosity.
