Q&A all leaders of Saralonia (IC and OOC accepted)

Postby Saralonia » Sat Oct 17, 2020 9:30 pm

Statement from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Communications

Hello comrade, you have the opportunity to interview the current leader of Saralonia, we hope you feel welcome here, send a journalist and talk to him/her/them as long as you want, but please remember to not use any video footage nor cameras allowed inside, only audio.

OOC:Basically you sent someone to ask the leaders of Saralonia some questions, for now only José Amanda, the 'Emanuels' and Marco Zarate are available for you to ask questions to but soon some scientifically impossible reason will bring you leaders further from Saralonia's past. And yes, I'm basically joining a trend but hey you can interview more than one person, that's gotta count for something, although they aren't mentioned you can also ask ministers and/or government officials something, the other reason for me to do this is to build more lore both inside and outside of politics for each.

Statement from Chairwoman José Amanda (Cut down by the Ministry of Foreing Relations)

"Well, with the information that is currently available to me, all I have to say is that I myself feel apalled by the authoritarian nature of Langenia and the contrasting ideologies between us, while I believe in a multi party democratic and socialist state while Langenia is a one party state, all I have to say is that Langenia as it currently is I can't respect it..."

I can sympathize. I am a freelance journalist based in Los Angeles reporting on Langenia and Latin America. Ugh, I am so tired. I just flew all the way from Switzerland when I heard you were giving interviews."

ms. amanda,

i suppose it'd be quite rude to ask, but i will anyway and i'll leave it up to you to answer. is there any deeper significance to what seems to an american observer to be your first name being masculine? i changed mine for that reason, it bothered me too much. apologies, it was simply rather distracting and i admittedly have an issue with the old virtue of "minding one's own business".

José Amanda's response cut down in size by The Ministry of Foreing Relations

"... Altough indeed my name starts with a name tipically associated with males, I am not bothered by the name, my mother named me alone, my father was too busy with being an overworked bureocrat by the government... ...But either way I don't plan on changing my name, it sort of defined a bit of who I am, and either way I don't see a problem with it..."

"What is Saralonia's position towards nuclear weapons in both the civil and military fields?
And what is the sentiment towards other nations that possess or reject nuclear technology?"

A journalist from a popular television station in Anentova whose name is Anuar Tafari waits his turn to ask a question.

"What is your opinion about the Government, in general, of Anentova?"

Following the same theme on nuclear weapons, recently Anentova has followed an ambitious arms program that includes the production of Nuclear Weapons to which I ask the following question:
"What do you think of this, do you approve of these new measures?"

And if it is not annoying, this question touches on internal matters of Saralonia.
We have recognized that Saralonia, in its moments of crisis, has suffered from various political instabilities caused mainly by groups of civilians who share the same characteristic, that is, religion, culture or extremist ideologies as was the previous administration.

What will the government do to prevent the emergence of these groups that will endanger the stability of Saralonia?

The Republic of the Chari has annexed Anentova, however, Chad as well as the Coalition do not recognize it. Military Forces has been deploy to the borders

Statement from Chairwoman José Amanda and verified by the Ministry of Foreign Relations

"I personally believe that Nuclear Weaponry is a necessity for a state like mine, such as imperialist menaces who would otherwise invade Saralonia, of course, I personally prefer the use of nuclear energy for civilian applications such as electricity and medical ones but I see a state that totally rejects nuclear power even for only civilian use as one ridden by ignorance or a state that must be helped for them to understand it's a great power."

-Statement from Chairwoman José Amanda Approved by the Ministry of Foreign Relations-

"The greatest crisis of my government if you count my time as provisional leader of Saralonia it would be the start of it, fighting guerrillas while rebuilding a nation and reestablishing various democratic institutions and on top of that most government officials having some kind of ties to the previous dictatorship or to the guerrillas which consist of brainwashed loyalists, but under my official 1st term then it would be the political crisis of rampant corruption and the constant bypassing of democratic protocols by the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Relations and only them, I also have to be the only one getting rid of corruption because various anti-corruption chiefs were corrupt themselves, but on the other hand the people are happy and Saralonia has grown from the brief dictatorship."
