To those that skim a bit, the Glenganese are British Filipinos

The modern general Glenganese person could be typified in:
-Eats enthusiastically, not shy to slurp or eat with hands
-Splashes a handful of water on the door of the vehicle they're about to drive
-Refers to their skin colour or racial group by tree bark or lumber
-Is insane for mangoes
-Moderates use of national flags till it's time for sports, more eager to decorate with local/municipal flags
-Rarely wears socks
-Dresses and speaks in ways almost casual/near-vulgar for formal occasions

With certain behaviours:
-Eager to chat with strangers
-Develops close relationships to neighbours
-Accommodating to a fault
-Laid-back attitude to most everything
-Casual treatment of mild addictions without second-hand effects
-Quick to become attached to inanimate objects like their car, comfiest chair, decorations, houseplants, toys, trees visible from the window, etc.
-Very Trusting
-Generally extroverted; Glenganese introverts simply don't initiate conversation but will still chat when spoken to
-Somewhat theatrical behaviour can pop in at any moment, even in public
-Proud to display their stuff, compliments on items are met with "And I got it at X," or "I could make a replica for you!"
-Rarely speaks local dialect with international English visitors, as in the past Glenganese English has been likened to "a crockpot language"
-Said to act like a friendly dog or neighbourhood cat
-Also epitomised as "If waving to people on a boat was a country"

Specific ethnic groups are rarely ever insomuch as even faintly "othered," but there still exist friendly stereotypes popularised by those groups first before becoming broadly accepted as cross-cultural jokes.

Native ethnicities, especially the Pako and followers of the Pako folk religion, are labelled Boat Worshippers due to their heavy reliance on boats and the ocean in their creeds.
In terms of the tree-bark ethnic names, the Aansani (and most of cosmopolitan Glenganese) identify as "palm-skinned" or "palm-coloured" whereas the Pako are "banyan-skinned," "husk-skinned," or sometimes exaggerated to "obsidian-skinned," that, while not a tree, highlights their other commitment to the nation's volcanoes.

Glenganese of foreign heritage also have references. Sino-Glenganese were and sometimes still seen as the most business-oriented and itinerant, but since the war they are rarely typified, and whenever they are now, it can be of derogatory nature, so these will not be printed. Filipino-Glenganese are occasionally seen as the loudest and givers of nicknames that, rather than "pet names," seem to barely relate to anything the person being nicknamed is or does, however as a group the Filipino-Glenganese are a "shadow group" in that they blend into the broader generic Glenganese identity. Anglo-Glenganese are the most reliably insulted group, but as their relationship to an almost century-long absence of British rule or near 50 years of any "Western" stewardship, this is thankfully rare. They have variably been called "sun-skinned" or "rainbow-skinned" on account of a lack of pigment lending to quicker changes in skin colour situationally. Anglo tourists are jokingly called "sunset-skins" on account of frequent sunburns.

Similarly to Sino-Glenganese, those who are raised on the island and move overseas to the United States or Australia are seen as wealth-driven, among other qualities that are seen as "restrained" back home.

In our case, the stereotypes are true, at least for some of these people:

People of Indian descent are seen as educated, worldly-wise and ever-friendly, and approachable

People of Japanese descent are seen as tough, kind but ever-loving.

People of Arabic descent are seen as the rajul mudarib "boss man", because so many of them run their own small businesses and are self-employed, and they're often seen as resourceful.

As a nation, we're seen as being frozen in time to the 1990s and 2000s and never getting past it, with rap, calypso and dance music often heard.

the Great Ishtar Empire was founded by a coalition of bee-keeping states ruled by women in the name of the goddess after which our continent was named. this made a deep impression on our culture from the very beginning of the empire, as the great southern cities of the Baba Yaga river were brought under the strict sway of a feminist state.

even pre-unification, those bee-keeping petty states of the northern lakes had largely been founded by majority women tenant workers fleeing their Earth-owned land in the fertile south for the hills beyond the the reach of human traffickers.

essentially, the empire was founded in response to violence against women. so it makes sense that we should be stereotyped as feminists, though our culture since the communist revolution has shifted significantly away from matriarchy, towards queer theory and the reintegration of positive masculinity.

we aren't all Lesbians, but our society is among the most friendly to queer women in the Sol System.
